Many game devs will go into press conferences promising the world, or rather 18 quintillion worlds only to fall flat on day of release, like in the case of No Mans Sky. This obviously angers the gamers out there that fell for the hype. Some even take it so far as to send death threats to the developers and company. Obviously this is a drastic response to the situation but there is something interesting here. For the games that. continue to get updates and new content added to them the gamers come back and even rave about the once "garbage" game. It almost makes it okay to release games that are broken or do not deliver what is expected or promised. Und ja, Starfield erinnert vom Gameplay an Fallout im Weltall. Wir starten bekannterweise als frei gestaltbarer Charakter, bei dem wir auch den Hintergrund und weitere Eigenschaften angeben können. Dies beeinflusst unsere Start-Perks. Im weiteren Spielverlauf können wir die Perks dann beliebig verteilen und verbessern, ganz so wie ich es mag, völlige Freiheit! Auch die Reihenfolge der unzähligen Quests und Aufgaben ist völlig uns überlassen und so erwischte ich mich oft dabei, wie ich mich in Nebenaufgaben verlor, ohne der Hauptstory zu folgen. Wir können auch auf allen Planeten landen und diese erkunden, auch hier gibt es sehr viel zu entdecken und zu looten...einzig das begrenzte Inventar beschränkte meinen Spielspaß immer wieder. Freies Erkunden des Weltalls gibt es leider nicht, wir müssen stets in den Orbit eine Planeten per Schnellreise springen. Dort können wir dann aber auch gegen feindliche Raumschiffe kämpfen. Auch eine Basis können wir uns erstellen. Es gibt viele Elemente, die uns also bekannt vorkommen. Starfield erfindet Bethesda Spiele aber nicht neu, sondern liefert alt Bekanntes in neuem Gewand, wer eine Weltraumsimulation wie No Mans Sky erwartet hat, der wird hier aber auf jeden Fall enttäuscht.

According to Activision-Blizzard, Sony informed ABK and Microsoft in front of EU regulators that they are not interested in a long term deal for Call of Duty, they just want to block the merger. Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League has been delayed, but it's not because they are changing the core mechanic like people hoped. The Epic Games Store will no longer be a curated store of quality titles, as they are now allowing self-publishing to anyone that has $100 - but they are requiring multiplayer crossplay with all other PC platforms, which means they must use Epic's multiplayer servers. Then we talk to Rob about Theatrhythm and No Man's Sky.

I start off by talking a little bit more about PSVR2 and my attempt to use eye tracking with a severe astigmatism. Microsoft has been granted access to Sony documents regarding their third party contracts to see what their exclusivity deals are like. Meta has dropped the price of the Quest Pro and the 256GB Quest 2 because nobody was buying them. The International Olympic Committee is doing Esports again - but some of the games are ones that nobody plays but happen to be owned by IOC officials. Then we take calls about the Olympics and No Man's Sky. A chatter made me think the Ides of March was March 5th and not 15th. Excuse my ignorance.

We start with a little talk about TwitchCon as well as a dangerous situation that occurred there that we might be hearing about for a while. The best trailer I saw this week was not a movie, and it's very unexpected. Overwatch 2 requires a phone number to play - and it has to be a real one, not a pre-paid or VOIP number. This leaves many lower-income players out of the "free to play" game. The PlayStation VR2 is in "full production" and Sony is expecting to have 2 million units out at launch. No Man's Sky is launching on the Nintendo Switch and is adding fully customizable accessibility modes in it's 21st update after its launch six years ago. Indie darling Stray is out, and while it had the makings of a personal GOTY, it fell a little bit short for me. And then Live A Live, the 2D-HD remake of a 1994 SNES classic that never made it out of Japan, is actually a really good time. LEGO is releasing an Atari 2600 next month, and I might need it. Then we talk to OLR about yet another No Man's Sky update.
