She'd felt furtive elation when Brandy's mom eloped with Senior Deputy Jenks, shattering the illusion of their happy household.Only later, as she saw the daily sadness in Big Bob, had she begun to regret her envy-driven vindictiveness. And, from what Taliyah and Brandy could see, it made all the ones who had been with their fellas so far want them and only them; it was spooky and somewhat frustrating to watch because Mikhail was her man, damn it!Not in the way Rashaan had been her man because Rashaan hadn't even been his own man, just another pawn of Darius Pope's little high school empire; like her and Brandy. Maybe that was why she was so drawn to the youngest triplet's fierce independence. He was harder to influence than Rashaan had been; which wasn't quite so.She could, in private, convince Rashaan to do things, plan things and stand up for himself, but all the results of her efforts evaporated when he was around Darius; and now she realized that would always be the case for someone like Rashaan. He was good looking and could project leadership, but there was never anything behind it. No drive. No great willpower to overcome any real opposition; and most likely, there never would be.With Mikhail; God! He was so different. Sure he was infuriating, but Taliyah found herself able to cut loose around him; to pop him one when she felt he was doing something stupid; and it wasn't as if he even minded. Oh no, that didn't mean he'd acquiesce, far from it. Normally he'd laugh and evade, taunting her. Yet, that was the way he'd grown up around his brothers and Taliyah was beginning to figure out he was allowing her to treat him the same way; that was was something special.He and his brothers were rough-n-tumble. They had a code for their fighting. While their Code didn't make the inevitable conflicts any less brutal, it at the same time expressed ample fair play, honesty and integrity. And afterwards; there was never any ill will between them. They fought and shit got settled; and Taliyah liked that. That Mikhail allowed her to lay into him was, according to his Mamma, very intimate and personal; and Taliyah was coming to appreciate this fact.‘Mikhail, why don't you and Kaelyne teach my 'Sisters' on the Cheer Squad some manners,' she touched his hand. They were side by side at the counter in the kitchen, him finishing off a few carrot slices while she drank some Gatorade. ‘I need to talk to my Mamma; alone.' No White blood had 'watered' down her complexion.Her eyes were product of her Mother's Vietnamese heritage while her nose was from West Africa. He skin was darker than her Mother's, not lighter, and she was much taller, at 5'9', and a compact 112 lbs. Her ass was 'black enough', but her chest was 'too Asian' as in she clearly had the smallest bra size on the team.At the age of eight she'd finally asked her rather traditional Mother who her 'real' Daddy was. She'd been 'seduced' by a groundsman on the A S U Kingston campus while her 'White' Daddy had been away for months and months at sea. He'd been a smooth operator, her Mother told her.'But why isn't that man my Father now?' she'd pressed her Mother. She'd graduated to referring to the nebulous sperm donor as Father when she was ten. Her Mother hung her head in shame then confessed the Black bastard hadn't wanted her. When she'd told him she was pregnant with what was most likely his child, he'd seemed happy at first.Only as she got 'bigger', things had changed. One day she stumbled upon him cheating with another nursing student. She'd exploded in tears. After the 'new' girl had fled, he 'confessed' he had yet another girl pregnant and two other kids by two other women; and it was over between them. He dumped her.So, her Mother had prayed somehow Le would be born without her White Father figuring out her betrayal; but that hadn't worked out either. She even gave Le the sperm donor's name, Claude Sexton. It turned out Le had sixteen half-brothers and –sisters (by five different women) and he was currently serving time in prison for pharmaceutical theft. Claude's Mamma, her Granny, claimed he was 'not guilty' and some jealous bitch (usually White in her rantings) had set him up;What had fascinated Le though was the 'why' of her Mother's betrayal of her White 'Father'. The few times she'd met him he'd seemed nice. He had remarried, still made good money and had two other, White, children these days. He had never been cruel to her Mother as far as her Mother had ever revealed; so why had she jumped on some Black cock and risked such a profitable union?At the age of twelve, Le was still gangly and under-developed. Puberty was late to the party. Shortly after her Mom's revelation, she began looking at the Black boys at school differently. They were still going from the phase of teasing and bullying girls (and being teased and bullied by some of the bigger girls) to sending the ladies looks of hungry confusion.No guys ever looked at Le that way back then; but suddenly she wanted them to. First off, she took up a paper route to make enough money to join the Dance School; because the Cheerleaders always seemed to pick the Hot girls with dance experience; and her Mother couldn't afford to send her with what she made.Secondly, she began purposely getting 25 to 35% of all her homework and test answers wrong. Le had to lower her academic profile starting her freshman year so hopefully no one would remember how smart she had been in Middle School. She added to this deception by telling everyone her name was 'Pearl', even the teachers, and always wearing long pig tails because she thought it fed into the ‘Cutesy' Asian stereotype; and they bought it.Lastly, she began working on her physique and fashion sense to make herself more noticeable to the people who really mattered. Her body's natural development helped. Belatedly her hormones kicked in and her breast began to get bigger. Of equal importance, with all her exercise and dedication her 'lower chasse' began getting the boy's notice. When their eyes finally got to her face, they also noticed how exotically different she was.She enjoyed the first touching; and kissing. Sure, Randi Leigh was a condescending, manipulative bitch, but she opened doors into social circles which would have been far harder to breach as an outsider.And all that degradation and hard work had paid off when the old Cheer Squad Team Captain handed her a cheer uniform, welcomed her to the team and then introduced her to her first gang-bang. Le sashayed toward the middle triplet, socially shedding 60 IQ points along the way. Boys liked them dumb, right?‘Le,' he smiled; not leered, ‘I think I can make you your own kind of happy,' he volleyed back. Okay, that second part was kind of sappy, but he actually recalled her real first name which hadn't happened in over a year.‘Pearl, stop that,' Vantrice got indignant. ‘These White boys; ‘‘I want to look like Brandy,' Le looked over her shoulder. ‘Don't you?'Vantrice stuttered, Mia was indecisive, Taliyah clearly wasn't going to let them bolt without a struggle and Mikhail was closing in to help.‘Sorry Mia, but I have a hunger for Black chicks,' he moved the blonde aside.‘What?' from Mia.‘Huh?' from Vantrice and;‘Best watch yourself, Mister,' from Taliyah, all aimed at Mikhail. Lucas 2:10, PDT.¿Quiénes eran dignos de recibir la noticia del nacimiento de Jesús? Herodes, el gobernante romano, perdió el honor de darle la bienvenida al Dios del universo porque estaba tan ocupado en mantenerse en el puesto de gobernador, que asesinó para lograrlo (Mateo 2:13-18). Los gobernantes judíos eran conocedores e intérpretes de las profecías, pero negligentes en la misión de impartirla (vers. 4-6). El pueblo judío pudo haber recibido un comunicado con la noticia, eran los elegidos, pero estaban dormidos; tenían mucho conocimiento, pero sin práctica. Estaban tan ocupados en celebrar ritos que abandonaron a quién los ritos representaban. La venida del Mesías se convirtió en una noticia sin urgencia. El dueño de la casa de hospedaje estaba demasiado ocupado en obedecer las pólizas hoteleras. Enfocado en obedecer la ley, ignoró al Creador y la razón de la ley. Ocupado en la casa, abandonó al dueño del universo (Lucas 2:7).¿Existen estos mismos grupos entre quienes deberíamos esperar la segunda venida? Solo dos grupos estaban preparados para recibir la noticia de aquel acontecimiento. Un grupo fueron extranjeros: los magos del Oriente (Mateo 2:1, 2, 9-12). Eran paganos, instruidos y ricos. Investigaron la verdad, la encontraron, y la siguieron sin demora. La gracia de Dios no está limitada por diferencias religiosas, linderos geográficos, o alcances académicos y financieros. El otro grupo fue un puñado de pastores humildes y fieles. A estos hombres incultos, y con la profesión más despreciada de la época, se les dio la gran noticia. ¿Qué tenían de especial aquellos pastores? ¿Por qué se dejó a un lado a gobernantes, dirigentes de la iglesia y al pueblo elegido? ¡Los pastores fueron el auditorio selecto del más sublime de los conciertos, un canto de ángeles! "¡Gloria a Dios en las alturas, y en la tierra paz, buena voluntad para con los hombres!" (Lucas 2:14). "Durante las silenciosas horas de la noche, [los pastores] hablaban de El Salvador prometido, y oraban por la venida del Rey al trono de David" (DTG, p. 31).Dos grupos opuestos: los más ricos y los más pobres, los más instruidos y los menos letrados. Ellos escucharon la noticia y la difundieron con gozo, pero nadie los escuchó, porque venía de labios extraños e incultos. ¡El Cielo los consideró dignos de un concierto angelical, pero no fueron tomados en cuenta cuando dieron la noticia del gran acontecimiento!¡Testifica, sin importarte si te escuchan!

El Land Cruiser nace como una copia del genuino Jeep Willys Overland… una copia fiel. ¿No te lo crees? Si pones uno junto al otro, resulta evidente y es lo que vamos a hacer para ti. Desde ese lejano 1951 hasta hoy el Land Cruiser no ha dejado de evolucionar y de mejorar, superando al original y convirtiéndose en uno de los pocos coches presentes en los 5 continentes. En el consultorio de este podcast os voy a contar por qué nació este canal… Pero, ¡hablemos del Land Cruiser! Porque este otro vídeo que tenía ganas de hacer y que tendrá unas cuantas anécdotas. Y como las historias deben arrancar desde el principio, no nos vamos al año 1951 sino a finales de los años 40. Para entender el nacimiento de este modelo hay que conocer la situación de Japón en esos años. El 15 de agosto de 1945 el Imperio Japonés firma su rendición incondicional en el USS Missouri: Japón se convierte en un país ocupado… Ocupado, destruido y desmoralizado. Los EE.UU. de Norteamérica ocuparon el país hasta 1952. Las ciudades y la industrias estaban destruidas. La tasa de suicidios se disparó en un país donde en el ejército no existe la palabra rendición y donde el suicidio, por cuestiones culturales, se considera algo digno… En 1950 estalla la guerra en Corea, cuando Corea del Norte invade Corea del Sur y Japón se convierte en una base de reavituallamiento para los norteamericanos, lo cual supone un espaldarazo a su industria y, especialmente, aumenta la producción de camiones destinados al ejército. Pero además de camiones se necesitaba un vehículo ligero, sencillo, barato y todo terreno ¿os suena? Y en 1951 nace el primer prototipo del Toyota Land Cruiser, una copia del Jeep, con chasis de un camión ligero y motor de 3,4 litros de gasolina… No hace falta ser ingeniero ni siquiera experto para ver que el Toyota es una copia muy fiel del Jeep. Es más, ¿sabéis cómo se llamaba inicialmente este coche? Jeep BJ… más claro, agua. Comienza la fabricación en serie del coche cuando Willys Company denuncia a Toyota. Esto tiene su gracia: Lo denuncia por el uso del nombre, no tanto por copiarlo. Esto es una opinión, pero parece que Willys no consideraba en esos momentos un rival peligroso a Toyota… ¡qué gran error! Es entonces, en 1954, cuando Toyota cambia la denominación y pasa a llamarlo “Land Cruiser”, un nombre que podríamos traducir como “Crucero terrestre” … me gusta, tanto en inglés como en español. Y comienza la evolución, rapidísima, de este modelo. El Serie 20 era mucho más que el paso del coche del mundo “civil” al “militar”, se mejora el confort y los faros pasan de las aletas a la parrilla central, dando lugar a una estética muy particular y que duraría muchos años. El Land Cruiser más bonito, con más personalidad, el que encumbró este modelo a la fama, la tercera generación, la llamada Serie 40 nace… ¡en 1960! ¡Qué buena cosecha la de ese año! De este modelo hubo multitud de variantes, con distintas distancias entre ejes, distintos motores y techo duro o de lona. A mí la versión de techo de chapa, con las esquinas acristaladas y redondeadas y los faros delanteros “juntitos”, un poco al estilo de los primeros Land Rover, me volvía loco… ¡me sigue volviendo loco! Y el Land Cruiser crece… y no parará de crecer, al menos en las versiones de batallas larga y cuatro puertas laterales. El FJ55 llegado en 1967 ofrece una versión con distancia entre ejes de 2,70 m y carrocerías más modernas… pero no más bonitas. En este Land Cruiser se abandonan las dos puertas traseras de acceso al maletero… se abandonan relativamente, porque esta opción coexiste con un portón que a su vez tiene el cristal descendente… una opción que a mí me gusta mucho y que probé por primera vez un Toyota 4Runner que, por consejo mío, compraron unos amigos… y que se podría considerar un derivado del Land Cruiser y, igual que él, indestructible. Hasta 1984 los Land Cruiser que podías comprar eran muchísimo mejores que el original, pero no dejaban de ser de algún modo un derivado del original y esto cambia con la serie 70, que conserva el nombre… y poco más. Una de las decisiones que se toman, acertadas, es hacer dos líneas distintas de Land Cruiser, una para profesionales denominada Heavy Duty y otra más cercana a un coche de turismo o Light Duty. Este modelo es mucho más refinado que su antecesor, por dentro, por fuera, en su mecánica… y le tengo especial cariño, pues mi primer contacto con los Land Cruiser, ya como probador, fue con este modelo, con el 250BJ73 “Made in Portugal”. Llevaba motor VM de 4 cilindros y 2,5 litros con 114 CV y los fabricaba Salvador Caetano en Portugal. El 1996 llega la serie 90, con unos acabados impecables, refinado, confortable, como siempre indestructible, nada barato… pero responsable de que, hasta hoy, este modelo compita sin complejos con los modelos “Premium” de otras marcas. Bueno, sin complejos o superándolos. Lo bueno de este Toyota es que se ha convertido en un coche confortable, incluso rápido, con una imagen inmejorable… pero sin renunciar a dos características claves: Fiabilidad y prestaciones en campo. A la serie 90 seguirían las series 100, 120, 150… ¡hasta la 300! Con motor V8 y más premium que nunca. Siempre manteniendo las cualidades que han hecho a este coche un coche único… por una cualidad o característica que me he dejado para el final… Muchas marcas han pretendido hacer un coche “Mundial”, que satisfaga las exigencias de todos los mercados, un espíritu con el que nació el Dacia Logan, el Fiat Palio y algunos modelos de Ford… y no funcionó, porque cada mercado tiene unos requisitos singulares. Pero el Land Cruiser si la ha conseguido. Ya sea como coche militar, en manos de ONG´s, de terroristas, de exploradores, en competición, en recorridos por caminos de todo el mundo, en países donde no hay carreteras o en urbanizaciones de lujo en países donde sí hay carreteras… lo cierto es que el Land Cruiser en un fenómeno único… que ha superado al original…

Con su gran capacidad y sabidur-a, recibida de Dios, Salom-n era sumamente ocupado, en el levantamiento del reino de Dios en el mundo.
