"Global roaming is not the world's greatest performance enhancer," says Sara Brown, EVP of Marketing at FloLIVE, in a conversation with Doug Green, Publisher of Technology Reseller News at IT Expo. FloLIVE, which operates the world's largest cellular network for IoT, announced its Local Breakout Service, enabling mobile network operators (MNOs), MVNOs, and IoT service providers to offer localized connectivity. This service addresses data sovereignty regulations, enhances privacy compliance, and improves latency by keeping data within its country of origin rather than routing it globally. Meeting Enterprise IoT Challenges Enterprises are no longer new to IoT; many have deployed multiple generations of connected devices and are now acutely aware of pain points like latency, data sovereignty, and scalability. FloLIVE aims to solve these challenges by offering: Regulatory compliance for markets like Brazil, Turkey, China, and India, where strict data localization laws apply Improved latency by reducing reliance on inefficient global roaming routes Simplified multi-operator management, eliminating the need for enterprises to juggle multiple commercial agreements Simplifying Global IoT Deployments For U.S.-based partners managing global IoT implementations, FloLIVE provides a single point of contact for global coverage. Instead of dealing with 50+ commercial agreements, partners can rely on FloLIVE for one operator, one billing system, and one global platform with localized connectivity. What's Next for FloLIVE? FloLIVE is heading to Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, where it will launch VoLTE Services—a game-changer for industries like automotive, security, and elevators, ensuring seamless emergency voice communications. TaxConnex tackles telecom tax complexity, offers white glove service, Podcast “We don't want to just be a return provider,” says Robert Dumas, Managing Partner of TaxConnex. “We want to be part of the tax team. We want to be the telecom tax expert. So our clients can call us up with all sorts of tax questions unrelated to actual filings because we want to be able to help them manage the process holistically from invoicing all the way to the remittance.” “In telecom specifically, you have significantly more localities, counties, and cities that have city ordinances or codes that give them the ability to directly assess a utility tax or communications tax. These taxes generally apply to communications, gas, or electric utilities. But it's thousands of potential returns throughout the country. And then, of course, you have to add the E911 fees. And, again, many of the E911 fees are collected at the city and county level because the cities and counties manage their own emergency management systems, and those fees are necessary to fund them. So we are still remitting thousands of returns a month specifically to folks in California Missouri Nebraska and Colorado, just every place that has a local E911 or utility users tax of some kind.” In this podcast, Robert outlines how his firm offers a different take on telecom tax issues. Robert outlines how his firm offers a complete white glove service, with customized services and an interesting approach to providing personalized account services. We are back at it for OUR FOURTH SEASON of Terms of Service Podcast and we are eternally grateful - for you and the industry at large. Such a phenomenal journey so far and to bring us into our next phase - is Amber Payden  where we explore numerous elements of pop culture, technology within the hospitality space, scalability and the element of 'choosing your stress". This conversation is an exciting ride as we find ourselves separating the different areas of the hospitality industry ranging from AI, technology implementation for systems efficiency while also divulging how the human experience is being reduced to overlooked data. Amber facilitates a brilliant narrative that dives deep into the nuances of tech and how hospitality begins to remove itself and doesn't always speak the language of the industry that was built by us as a community. Collectively - this is such an amalgamation of technology, pop culture and most importantly the cost of culture at the hands of something that was meant to assist not direct. Many women with a military background don't identify as veterans, but Cat believes that if you've donned the uniform, you've earned your status. Tune in today to learn about her life philosophy and long-term plans, what motivates her to keep the podcast going, and how you can get involved. Tweetables: “The military makes you think that when you retire, to use a sports analogy, a first drawn draft pick. Everyone's going to be throwing money at you, contracts at you; I left thinking there would be music and balloons and confetti, and there was nothing.” — Cat Corchado [0:07:46] "After service, no one wants to hear anything you have to say about it, because no one understands. Sisters in Service is a platform that gives women a chance to say ‘This happened, and this is how I got through it', because there might be other women listening and struggling, and thinking they're the only ones when they're not." — Cat Corchado [0:12:10] "As veterans, if we don't help each other, no one's going to help us. So, we have to give each other that help, that leg up, that hand up. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!” — Cat Corchado [0:12:52] Links Mentioned in Today's Episode: Clubhouse Cat Corchado on Instagram Cat Corchado on Facebook Cat Corchado on LinkedIn Women Veterans Network Sisters in Service John Kelley on Instagram John Kelley on TikTok Beefy Marketing Beefy Marketing on Instagram Beefy Marketing on YouTube Beefy Marketing on Facebook

Today's female veteran with Cat Corchado It's been 22 years since Cat Corchado transitioned out of the military as an Air Force veteran that served for 20 years. Although she has enjoyed most of her civilian life as a personal trainer, it's only been in the recent years where she's asked herself, "What's next?" It was during the heart of the pandemic when she realized it was time to start the Sisters in Service podcast. In sharing her journey as a podcaster, she reflects on her surprisingly quiet military transition 22 years ago, how she enjoys supporting people to 'be better in their bodies,' being a female veteran in today's society, and much more.
