Host Jim Irvin is joined by jazz and compilation guru Tony Higgins and morning glory DJ James Endeacott to discuss Aidan Nolan's Tales From the Sun (1974), Michael Chapman's Fully Qualified Survivor (1971) and Terry Reid's River (1973).They also talk about the perils of being a manager, the art of reissuing records, discovering Japanese jazz and what not to play on hospital radio.
This summer, the Ohio-based musical group Caamp released theirfifth and most adventurous album to date, Copper Changes Color which they call "a celebration of the dreams and bonds that endure." Co-produced by Beatriz Artola (Fleet Foxes, Sharon Van Etten) and Tucker Martine (My Morning Jacket, R.E.M.), their songs are raw and vulnerable, alternating between breezy anthems and pensive meditations, and the performances are honest and intuitive to match. Founding member Evan Westfall tells us about building a record upon what they band refer to as "love and trust in the face of doubt and uncertainty, a joyful, cathartic work about not just accepting change, but learning to embrace it." Paul also offers a few words to mark the passing of esteemed, yet possibly underrated singer and guitarist Terry Reid (1949-2025) who succumbed to cancer on August 4th. For this episode we're joined online from northwest Massachusetts by the legendary Byron Coley, champion of all things weird and non-mainstream. After describing his somewhat peripatetic childhood, our guest explains – very amusingly – why as a teenager he hated the Beatles and what led him eventually to the more subversive sounds of the Mothers of Invention and their ilk. A digression on the Grateful Dead – whose Jerry Garcia we lost 30 years ago this month – is followed by Byron's memories of first reading R. Meltzer and Nick Tosches in Crawdaddy! and Creem... and how a teaching assistant grad student inspired him to "write like you talk". After Barney reads from Byron's 1980 New York Rocker piece on Lydia Lunch's 8-Eyed Spy – prompting our guest's recall of first seeing her No Wave trailblazers Teenage Jesus & the Jerks live – we hear about his 1978 Rocker interview with the incomparable Captain Beefheart. This in turn leads to clips from Gary Lucas' audio interview with the artist born Don Van Vliet, recorded in January 1972. After a quick late '70s/early '80s detour via his temporarily adopted California, Byron talks about his return to the East Coast and his writing for Boston's Forced Exposure – not to mention his rather more lucrative "Underground" columns for Spin. In passing he explains how his friendship with Sonic Youth led to a declaration of war on Bob ("Dean of American Rock Critics") Christgau. We finish up by paying tribute to blue-eyed-soul man Terry Reid and beloved Salsa star Eddie Palmieri. Finally, Mark and Jasper talk us out with remarks on newly-added library pieces about the Legendary Stardust Cowboy (1968), Ronnie Wood and cronies (1974) and Lana Del Rey (2019). Many thanks to special guest Byron Coley. Find his book C'est La Guerre in all good bookshops and follow him on BlueSky @byroncoley.bsky.social. Send us a text#terryreid #60smusic #ledzeppelin Terry Reid, the British musician whose soaring and soulful voice earned him the nickname “Superlungs”, and whose career intersected with the likes of the Rolling Stones and Jimmy Page, has died aged 75, as confirmed by his UK representative. He had been receiving cancer treatment in recent months.Reid never had a hit on the UK charts, but albums such as 1973's River remain critically acclaimed, and he was held in such high esteem that he was courted by Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple to be those bands' lead singer, but turned each of them down. We covered the self-titled debut album from Crosby, Stills & Nash in episode 137. Deja Vu is considered the second Crosby, Stills & Nash album, but it is actually the first album by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, with Canadian songwriter Neil Young turning the trio into a quartet. While the album continues to feature the signature harmonies associated with Crosby, Stills & Nash, it has a harder, more rocking edge to it. Some of this is undoubtedly due to the addition of Neil Young to the album, but it also reflects the challenges the group members were facing. Both Stephen Stills and Graham Nash had gone through break-ups in their relationships, and David Crosby tragically had lost his girlfriend Christine Hinton in a car accident. The album was highly anticipated, generating $2 million in pre-sales before its release. It became a gold record only 14 days after release, and was on the Billboard 200 album chart for 88 weeks. Contemporary critics provided mixed reviews, but the album has only grown in stature over time, with many reviews considering it amongst the top albums ever produced. Deja Vu was inducted into the Grammy Hall of fame in 2012.After its release, each of the principal members of the group would record solo albums, and the success of Deja Vu contributed to the individual success of these four solo projects.Crosby, Stills & Nash (and sometimes Young) would continue to produce albums over the decades with their last collaboration occurring in 2015. The death of David Crosby in 2023 ended the possibility of full reunions.Wayne brings us this soft rock singer-songwriter live album for this week's podcast. Carry OnThe opening track to the album was penned by Stephen Stills who also provides lead vocals. It is a medley of two songs edited together with a jam session connector, and came together surprisingly fast during a time when most songs were taking a long time to finish. The lyrics encourage the band members to keep going through times of struggle in relationships both within and outside the band.Teach Your ChildrenGraham Nash wrote this song in 1968 when he was with The Hollies, but had not recorded it with that group at the time. Nash has associated the song with a photograph exhibit showing a child playing with a toy hand grenade, and the lyrics encourage parents to be careful in how they teach their children. Neil Young does not play on this song, but the steel guitar is provided by Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead. WoodstockUnlike the other tracks on this album, this song was not written by any of the band members, but was penned by Joni Mitchell. Mitchell had not attended the Woodstock festival, but was inspired to write this song told from the perspective of a concert goer after hearing her then-boyfriend Graham Nash relay the account. It has become a signature song for the group and a staple of the 60's counter-culture. Our HouseGraham Nash wrote this song as a description of a day spent with then-girlfriend Joni Mitchell and her two cats in their Laurel Canyon home. The song was written in an hour on Mitchel's piano. It went to number 30 on the Billboard Hot 100. ENTERTAINMENT TRACK:Theme from the motion Picture "Patton"This epic starring George C. Scott was playing in the theaters in 1970. It won seven Academy awards, including Best Picture. STAFF PICKS:Let It Be by The BeatlesLynch starts the staff picks with a song inspired by a dream. Paul McCartney's mother, Mary Patricia McCartney, died of cancer with Paul was 14. In the dream, his mother encourages her son by saying, "It's all right, just let it be." This single and title song from the final Beatles album debuted at number 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 before topping those charts.Cecilia by Simon & GarfunkelRob brings us the third single from the fifth and final album by Simon & Garfunkel, "Bridge Over Troubled Water." It was developed in a late night jam when the duo and friends were banging on a piano bench and recording the sound with a tape recorder. The lyrics depict the heartbreak of a boy delivered from Cecilia his unfaithful lover. The Rapper by The JaggerzBruce features the most successful single from the band whose guitarist and primary songwriter would go on to be Donny Iris. The song is a warning to the ladies not to be taken in by a smooth talking man telling them lies. It went to number 2 on the charts.Superlungs My Supergirl by Terry ReidWayne's closes out the staff picks with a cover originally written by Donovan about a 14-year old groupie. Terry Reid was Jimmy Page's first pick to be lead singer of Led Zeppelin, but was unavailable at the time due to his touring schedule with Cream and the Rolling Stones. Reid would acquire the nickname of Superlungs. NOVELTY TRACK:Pineapple and the Monkey by The FacesThis instrumental from The Faces debut album takes us out for this week. Terry Reid unlocks a treasure chest of stories, being one of the most influential figures in rock history. The post Terry Reid appeared first on The Strange Brew .
My intermittent series on albums/artists/films that were either denied classic status on release or forgotten since. Both in this case. Forever he will be known for the tragic element to his career, for not reaching superstar status, after turning down the offer at the end of the Sixties to become the front man of Led Zeppelin. And Deep Purple. But his talent as a guitarist and one of the finest ever British rock vocalists can perhaps be enjoyed best on his third album River, the kind of music pretty much anyone would like, sitting equidistant between Blues, Folk, Rock and RnB.
Terry Reid shares stories from his incredible career. From his early start in the industry, touring with the Rolling Stones on his 16th birthday, Reid's experiences are nothing short of legendary. The interview features captivating tales of his interactions with icons like Aretha Franklin, Steve Marriott, and Jimmy Page, offering a rare glimpse into the inner workings of the music industry during the golden era. With mentions of John Lennon, Led Zeppelin, Small Faces and Johnny Depp, this engaging conversation is a treasure trove of music history, providing a behind-the-scenes look at one of the greatest unsung hero's of the rock 'n' roll world. If you haven't checked him out yet, once you've listened to this interview, go and check out his music - he's not nicknamed "Superlungs" for nothing! Learn more about your ad choices. TERRY REID ‘SUPERLUNGS' THE LEGENDARY SINGER WHO TURNED DOWN LED ZEPPELIN AND DEEP PURPLE: A SPECIAL EVENT ON INTERVIEWING THE LEGENDS Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of Interviewing the Legends I'm your host Ray Shasho. Terry Reid, ‘Superlungs' as he's affectionately known, is without doubt one of the greatest rock/soul voices ever produced or is indeed likely to. A Terry Reid concert should be a cherished memory for any self-respecting fan of the greats of British music. Terry turned down the front man's job with Led Zeppelin, recommending his mate Robert Plant instead, a similar offer and rebuff to Deep Purple. Aretha Franklin's stated that The Beatles, Rolling Stones and Terry Reid were the best England had to offer in 1968. He underwent two World Tours with The Rolling Stones, US tours with Cream, UK tours with Jethro Tull and Fleetwood Mac, The Isle of White Festival in 1969 and Glastonbury in 1970, played at Mick Jagger's wedding, before soured record deals resulted in Terry leaving Britain for America nearly 40 years ago. All true, but the full story includes numerous collaborations with Graham Nash, covers of Reid songs by Marianne Faithfull, The Hollies, The Raconteurs (the hugely popular ‘Rich Kid Blues'), film soundtracks, including a song in George Clooney's film ‘Up In The Air', and a catalogue of 6 studio albums, including the seminal album ‘The River', re-released to critical acclaim in 2002 and the 1976 Nash produced ‘Seed of Memory'. A Reid song ‘Horses Through a Rainstorm' also features on CSN's box set. Terry's most recent release is entitled ‘The Other Side of the River' and released an incredible live album entitled ‘Terry Reid Live in London.' PLEASE WELCOME LEGENDARY SINGER SONGWRITER AND MUSICIAN OFTEN REFERRED TO AS SUPERLUNGS…TERRY REID TO INTERVIEWING THE LEGENDS … PURCHASE THE LATEST RELEASE BY TERRY REID The Other Side of the River A double LP housed in a Stoughton gatefold "tip-on" jacket. Remastered from the original analog tapes. Track notes by Terry Reid. 6 never heard Reid compositions, plus 5 very different alternate takes - all previously unreleased. British musician Terry Reid is a relatively unsung legend. With his incredible voice (that earned him the nickname "Superlungs"), spot-on songwriting, and underrated guitar skills, Reid invented new sounds and others followed suit. His 1973 LP, River, is an under-the-radar but deeply loved album. Our special new release, The Other Side Of The River, features all previously unreleased material from the River sessions, including six never-before-heard Reid compositions and five very different alternate takes of tracks from River. Over the decades, as River went in and out of print, there were rumors of a mythological double album's worth of unreleased material. The rumors turned out to be true, as the entire album was recorded twice: once with British producer Eddy Offord and again with the legendary Tom Dowd. The sessions captured Reid's free-associative mix of folk, blues, rock, jazz, bossa-nova, soul, and samba, recalling at times Tim Buckley and Van Morrison, while featuring some remarkable guests including Gilberto Gil on percussion, Ike & Tina Turner's Ikettes on vocals, and David Lindley, of psych band Kaleidoscope, on violin. The Other Side Of The River includes songs that even Terry had forgotten - rockers in the style of the River track "Dean," Latin grooves with percussionist Willie Bobo, and beautifully sparse vocal material not unlike David Crosby's If Only I Could Remember My Name and John Martyn's Solid Air. available at amazon.com ALSO TERRY REID LIVE IN LONDON Terry Reid returns annually to London to play a residency at the legendary Ronnie Scott's club. Putting together a cracking band, Terry has performed two hours plus sets that have delighted his audiences, and Terry, who says of Ronnie's: The room has a special quality that allows me to talk to you as if you were in my own front room, where one conversation leads into another. That, I suppose, is how I end up playing for over two hours. I must be honest when I say I treasure those moments I spent with you and the kindness you show me. Live In London is the fourteen-track result from one of these performances. Terry and his band perform these songs, spread over two CDs. They capture Terry (nicknamed Super Lungs) as he takes a journey through an emotional landscape that starts with The Frame and passes along the way Rain In The Red Lights, his best known song River, a version of Brian Wilson's Don't Worry Baby and culminates in a two song finish, Seed of Memory and Don't Know Why. Live In London captures a unique performer and his band as they deliver a set of songs that allow them to stretch out and improvise or keep to tight arrangements all the while performing at the tops of their game. Though a contemporary recording, this album harks back to an earlier time when performers had a freer rein on their talents and Terry an amazing singer and raconteur takes full advantage of the space that his rapt audience and the intimate atmosphere generated at Ronnie's grants him. available at amazon.com FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT TERRY REID VISIT https://www.terryreid.com/ Official website https://www.facebook.com/p/Terry-Reid-100047699059130/ Facebook https://twitter.com/terryreid?lang=en Twitter https://www.instagram.com/superlungsterry/?hl=en Instagram https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNKLYpDqBnk8mVJT8GRq1UA YouTube https://open.spotify.com/artist/12fRdeKejG8BBzybGf0ygk Spotify UPCOMING SHOWS Fri 3 May 2024: Tuckerton, NJ - Lizzie Rose Music Room Sun 5 May 2024: Media, PA - Media Theater Thu 9 May 2024: NEW YORK, NEW YORK - PRIVATE PARTY Fri 10 May 2024: New York - The Cutting Room Sat 11 May 2024: N Y, N Y - THE TURNING POINT TERRY REID Discography Studio albums Bang, Bang You're Terry Reid (1968) Terry Reid (1969) (US title: Move Over for Terry Reid) River (1973) Seed of Memory (1976) Rogue Waves (1979) The Driver (1991) The Other Side of the River (2016) Compilations Super Lungs: The Complete Studio EMI Recordings 1966–1969 (2004) The Most of Terry Reid (1969) MFP5220 Live albums The Hand Don't Fit the Glove (1985) Alive (2004) Silver White Light – Live at the Isle of Wight 1970 (2004) Live in London (2013) Support us on PayPal!

He made a trip back in April to see Metallica on the first 2 nights of their No Repeat Weekend Tour. And The Wolf met up in Amsterdam with Action Jackson over the summer to take him to his first ever Iron Maiden concert. It was so great they went to see the boys again in Antwerp and then enjoyed some unexpected encounters at the hotel. Plus our host took The Wolfcub to see KISS one last time. We love talking with the talented musicians who make the rock music we love and we were honored to host an array of great guests from up and coming artists like Jimmy Maddon to legends like Terry Reid and Jim McCarty of The Yardbirds. Talking to Steve Kilbey of The Church was a treat and getting to know rockers in their prime like Scott Holiday of Rival Sons and Oliver Wakeman who we'll be seeing for years to come And stay tuned as we unveil our Top 10 episodes (by download) for 2023. Thought The Wolf had to leave Amsterdam for his homeland early in 2023, he didn't sell all the concert tickets he bought. It was a great year for The Ugly American Werewolf in London Rock Podcast and we thank everyone for listening. Here's looking forward to a killer 2024! Ep. 400 Terry Reid "Seed Of Memory" (1976)
Rockshow Episode 180 Terry Reid Terry Reid is a British musician known for his powerful vocals and diverse musical style. Born on November 13, 1949, in Huntingdon, England, Reid began his music career in the 1960s. He gained recognition for his soulful voice and performed alongside notable artists such as The Rolling Stones, Cream, and Jethro Tull. Reid's music covers a wide range of genres, including rock, blues, folk, and soul. His debut album, "Bang, Bang You're Terry Reid," was released in 1968 and showcased his unique vocal abilities. Despite critical acclaim, Reid's career didn't achieve mainstream commercial success. One significant event in Terry Reid's career is his connection to Led Zeppelin. In 1968, Jimmy Page invited him to join the newly forming band, which would later become Led Zeppelin. However, Reid declined the offer, suggesting Robert Plant instead. This decision significantly shaped the history of rock music. Throughout his career, Terry Reid released several albums, including "Terry Reid" (1969), "River" (1973), and "Seed of Memory" (1976). These albums showcase his soulful and versatile singing style, blending elements of rock, blues, and folk. While Reid may not have achieved widespread commercial success, he remains highly respected among musicians and fans for his exceptional vocal talent and contributions to the music industry. #TerryReid #MusicLegend #BritishMusician #RockBluesFolk #SingerSongwriter #Guitarist #IconicVoice #MusicalCollaborations #LivePerformances #TerryReidFans #TerryReid #TerryReidMusic #TerryReidFan #TerryReidForever #TerryReidFans #TerryReidSinger #TerryReidRock #TerryReidBlues #TerryReidLegacy #TerryReidDiscography http://www.terryreid.com/ https://youtube.com/@superlungsterry https://m.facebook.com/Terry-Reid-100047699059130/?wtsid=rdr_07HiUsmgVDFm2qUxM&_rdr https://www.instagram.com/superlungsterry/?hl=en https://twitter.com/terryreid?lang=en Park Dental Care 12419 101st Ave South Richmond Hill Queens (718) 847-3800 https://www.718DENTISTS.com Please follow us on Youtube,Facebook,Instagram,Twitter,Patreon and at www.gettinglumpedup.com https://linktr.ee/RobRossi Get your T-shirt at https://www.prowrestlingtees.com/gettinglumpedup And https://www.bonfire.com/store/getting-lumped-up/ Subscribe to the channel and hit the like button This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/rob-rossi/support https://www.patreon.com/Gettinglumpedup
Terry Reid began performing and touring as a professional at 15 in the UK. As a teenager he opened for The Rolling Stones, Cream and Jethro Tull. He was offered the lead singer spot in Deep Purple from Ritchie Blackmore and introduced Robert Plant to Jimmy Page. He's worked and played with so many people over the years but he's been gigging out with George Kapitanelis and his New Jersey based Cosmic American Derelicts for 15 years. These two have a kinship beyond playing music together (ie a shared love of westerns) and we have a great conversation with them about their new album Bergenfield Blues. Besides diving into some of the blues meets country with a bit of southern rock we liked on Bergenfield Blues, we got to hear some road stories from Terry and George. From playing Madison Square Garden to getting a call from John Lennon to sitting in the studio with George Michael, Terry giddily shares some fond memories from over half a century in the rock world. Terry Reid in conversation with David Eastaugh Reid came to the attention of producer Mickie Most, who became his manager and who was in partnership with Peter Grant at the time. His first single with Most, "Better By Far", became a radio favourite, but the album Reid was signed by Ahmet Ertegun to Atlantic Records with his band of David Lindley, Lee Miles and Alan White; they began recording in the UK and later switched to the US. White left to join Yes and Lindley left to tour with Jackson Browne. However, Lee Miles remained and was Reid's trusty sidekick for many years to come. Other musicians on the album, titled River, included Conrad Isodore on drums and Willie Bobo on percussion. Produced by Reid, engineered by Tom Dowd, and mixed by Eddie Offord this third album was released in 1973 and received favourable reviews

“Alan White Remembered: You've Got To Be Spot-On” In memory of Alan White (1949-2022), we're re-airing our chat with him from 2020. Being spot-on is what drummer Alan White says you have to be when it comes to being behind the kit for a band like Yes. One of the most technically proficient outfits in rock and roll history, Yes are musically precise and that's why White has been behind the kit with them since 1973. One of the most formidable drummers in rock and roll for the last 50 years, the British born White started playing in bands when he was 13. And over the course of his career he played on records by George Harrison, Ginger Baker, Joe Cocker, Terry Reid and John Lennon. He played live with Lennon as part of the Plastic Ono Band at the Toronto Rock and Roll Revival Festival in 1969 and he also had a stint playing live with Steve Linwood. When he joined Yes he also had two other job offers at the same time with Jethro Tull and America. But White said no to them and yes to Yes. Pretty good move. He played on 17 Yes records, and established himself as one of the most innovative, intuitive and muscular drummers around. His playing is a deft combo of finesse and power, that's as athletic as it is stylistic. Recorded live at the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel, back in July of 2019, Yes's newest effort is called THE ROYAL AFFAIR TOUR, LIVE FROM LAS VEGAS and it's a beast. A sterling collection that showcases not only the depth and scope of the band's winning songbook, it features Mr. White tearing it up. In this chat he talks about the magic of Charlie Watts, whether or not you can master the drums and why you've got to be spot-on to be onstage with Yes.

Terry Manning may not be a household name but he's had an incredible journey that started at the age of 13 when he sat in with Bobby Fuller at a Junior High Dance. From there he went to work at the legendary STAX RECORDS when he was just 15 years old! We couldn't possibly cover everything so some things we talk about in this hour and a half interview are : Bobby Fuller, Stevie Nicks, Stax Records, Jimmy Page, Led Zeppelin III, NME magazine, Martin Luther King Jr., Chris Blackwell (founder of island records), Photography and more! It's an interview you have to hear to believe Terry's incredible stories. A man who seemed to be at the right place at the right time and more than once. ABOUT TERRY: Terry Manning is a music producer, songwriter, photographer, recording engineer and artist known for work in rock, rhythm and blues, and pop music genres. Manning began in the music industry in El Paso, Texas, where he played guitar and sang with several local bands, notably The Wild Ones, and on a couple of occasions sat in with his friend Bobby Fuller. Upon leaving El Paso, he moved to Memphis, Tennessee, where he worked for years at both Stax Records and Ardent Studios as an engineer and producer, recording and mixing such artists as Isaac Hayes, Ike & Tina Turner, Booker T. & The MG's, Eddie Floyd, Al Green, Rufus Thomas, Sam & Dave, Billy Eckstine, Otis Redding, The Boxtops, Percy Sledge, The Staple Singers, Johnnie Taylor, Leon Russell, Ronnie Milsap, and many others. Manning was a principal part of Stax owner Al Bell's production team for The Staple Singers, responsible for such hit records as “Respect Yourself,” “I'll Take You There,” and "Heavy Makes You Happy.” In 1970, Manning licensed release of his own solo album, Home Sweet Home, on Stax's Enterprise label (re-released with extra tracks by Sunbeam in 2006, and in original configuration on Four Men With Beards vinyl label in 2012). Later working as an independent, Manning produced or engineered recordings by Joe Cocker, Wattstax, Alex Chilton, Big Star, James Taylor, Leon Russell, Led Zeppelin, ZZ Top, Jason & The Scorchers, Rhino Bucket, George Thorogood and The Destroyers, Joe Walsh, Johnny Winter, The Rainmakers, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Molly Hatchet, The Angels, Johnny Diesel and The Injectors, Lenny Kravitz, Jimmy Buffett, Shakira, Crash Test Dummies, Shania Twain, Bryan Adams, Widespread Panic, and many others. In the mid 1980s Manning moved to London, and worked for a year out of Abbey Road Studios. As a photographer, Manning began with black and white in the mid-1960s, capturing street scenes and topics of his interest. He has continued his photography to this day. Adding color photography to his repertoire in the1970s, Manning amassed a large collection of private works over the following years. With the beginning of Gallery and Museum presentations in 2015, Manning's photography is now being presented in Exhibitions across the US, as well as world locations. Musically, he also photographed Chuck Berry, Terry Reid, Steppenwolf, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Dusty Springfield, Procol Harum and many other musical artists of the rock period as both an independent and as a writer/photographer for New Musical Express. Manning was one of the last to photograph his acquaintance, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., on the day before the tragic assassination. 1991 saw him founding Lucas Engineering, a boutique audio company which makes professional audio recording gear; this company expanded in 2008, adding microphones to their arsenal of products. Lucas Microphones, under Manning's guidance, have since become amongst the top high end recording devices in the audio world. In 1992, Chris Blackwell of Island Records fame sought out Manning as a partner to revitalize Blackwell's famous Compass Point Studios in Nassau, Bahamas, which Manning operated successfully for over 20 years. Manning's newest music as an artist are the 2021 single "What's the Use", the ECR Music Group/Lucky Seven Records releases of Manning's newest (2019) live album “Playin' In Elvis' House,” 2015's “Heaven Knows,” an emotional look into human emotion, and “West Texas Skyline,” A Tribute To Bobby Fuller, released in October 2013.
