Welcome to The Peds NP Acute Care Faculty series! This series was created and peer-edited by national leaders in acute care PNP education collaborating with one another to meet the needs of our future colleagues. In the push for competency-based education where faculty verify the skills of what a student can do, rather than their knowledge, our series focuses on the application of didactic content with a practical approach so that you can learn nuances of clinical skills before you reach the bedside. *This is the second episode in a 2 part series on enteral feeding. Listen to Episode 75: Malnutrition and Feeding Tube Selection first. This episode walks through the decision-making for which enteral formula to select based on the patient's age, protein needs, and GI function. A list of commercially available examples is listed for each age group and protein type. Fluid and caloric goals are discussed to determine if concentrated formulas are appropriate. Lastly, the process of starting continuous feeds and advancing to bolus feeds while assessing for tolerance is reviewed. Build functional skills by following along with a case study that is continued from the prior episode. It's proof that there's more than just formula that goes into tube feedings. Welcome back to The Peds NP Acute Care Faculty series! This series was created and peer-reviewed by national leaders in acute care PNP education collaborating with one another to meet the needs of our current and future colleagues. In the push for competency-based education where faculty verify the skills of what a student can do, rather than their knowledge, our series focuses on the application of didactic content with a practical approach so that you can learn nuances of clinical skills before you reach the bedside. This episode begins with a brief review of malnutrition and pediatric nutritional assessment in acute care settings. Next we begin a choose-your-own-nutrition adventure by asking a series of questions that aid in medical decision-making for which nutrition route is appropriate, and, if enteral feeding is best, then determines the type of tube indicated. A case-based discussion with examples helps you to apply the concepts to a complex scenario. Our next episode will focus on formula selection, the initiation of feeds, and assessment of tolerance. In this episode of the Progressive Dairy Sponsorcast, Tony Marconi of Michelin and Harvey Hathaway a Michelin tire dealer in Texas, discuss one of the biggest operational challenges of skid steer loaders for dairy farmers, and that is downtime! Tony and Harvey discuss the various tire solutions for skid steer loaders, and introduce the Michelin X®TWEEL™ SSL 2 All Terrain, and the benefits of running an airless radial tire. This episode is sponsored by Michelin. Michelin designs, manufactures, and sells tires for every type of vehicle, including airplanes, automobiles, bicycles, earthmoving equipment, farm machinery, heavy-duty trucks, and motorcycles. A Michelin X®TWEEL™ airless radial tire is a single unit that replaces the current tire and wheel assembly. There is no need for complex mounting equipment and once they are bolted on, there is no air pressure to maintain. The unique energy transfer within the poly-resin spokes helps reduce the “bounce” associated with pneumatic tires, while providing outstanding handling characteristics. They are designed to perform like pneumatic tires, without the inconvenience and downtime caused by flats.

Jim Tweel opened the restaurant in the same location in 1938. We are only surviving because of the wealth of talent my dad was able to recruit from 1938 until he died in '05.” Jim's has always been a fixture in Huntington and hosted some big names through the years. Those included John F. Kennedy who ate there when he campaigned for President during the historic 1960 primary in West Virginia. To kick off this new version of an old thing, I'm once again talking to documentary filmmaker Clay Tweel. In this episode Clay talks about why he decided to take a break from social media and how seeing a constant scroll of your contemporaries on sets and at award shows can cause you to make unhealthy and more times than not unfair comparisons to your own life and career. We also talk about what it's really like to be a working doc filmmaker with a growing family and some of the decisions he's made, the missteps he's overcome, and the lessons he's learned along the way. Of course, we also discuss some of his incredible films, including Finder's, keepers, the Wild Story of two men's Legal Battle Over a severed Leg, and Gleason, the Doc about former NFL Player Steve Gleason and his family's experience as he battles ALS. As always, I had a ton of fun talking to Clay. He's a great guy, and I think this episode is doing exactly what I want this podcast to be. It's honest, it's informative, and I hope you find it entertaining.
Reggie Carlisle – John (Beta) Trae Mowaka- Jesse Jack Nash – John (Prime) GM- Tod Foley We are in a desert. Trae tries pinging Earth via UpVector radio. No response. A strange creature approaches from the distance, tall and reddish-orange in color with a long neck and clawed feet. Reggie opens up 2-way telepathic communication with it. The creature "Tweel" is excited to see humans, but says it is unsafe here: “We must go to that ridge!” Nash realizes we're on a known Dream Node based on Weinbaum's Mars. No one has read the story, but Nash has glanced at the Big Model data and knows this species once had high civilization - even space travel - before they depleted their planet of water. - Tweel tells Reggie that Jarvis said he'd return with a plan to bring water from Earth. Reggie has an idea to solve the water problem in exchange for power. Trae points out that the entire problem is also part of the dream, and thus doesn't matter if they solve it. This doesn't change Reggie's mind. Tweel, who says they have a "tremendous magnificent power station." Trae wonders about somehow creating a water replicator. This prompts Reggie to Lucid Dream a weather system directly over the city. After a few minutes rain begins to fall. Tweel freaks out: "Oh no! We will become targets for all the other thirsty creatures! "You have destroyed us!" Tweel shouts. Reggie convinces Tweel that working together his people can make this work: they just need to build some aqueducts. Tweel is encouraged, and they head off toward the city, where Tweel agrees to show them the Power Station. - Barrel Beasts and Thoth work together despite their differences to maintain the last working power station, which succeeds in pumping out only a few thousand gallons of water a day. There is some argument over whether or not Reggie is a rain god, and the Barrel Beasts who tend the power array are upset about all the water that's gathered in the dish. Nash and Trae drag out cables and jerry-rig a connection to the Marduk. An argument ensues, both groups of aliens screeching and whistling and gesturing angrily. - Reggie Lucid Dreams a big circular hole in the cloud cover above the city, while Nash plays with the dish controls until he manages to dump the water out. - Jacko Constance radios from Earth: Trae's message made it through after all! He says "You're supposed to be on Drir - have you suffered a flux storm?" and asks if the Marduk needs assistance. "Shall we clear Bay X?" and Nash agrees. Reggie takes one last look at the Barrel Beasts and the Thoth, arguing and throwing things at each other, and makes the slip. Back in Bay X, Jacko welcomes Nash home while Trae checks argofans.com, only to find that the website does not exist. Still not home. The date is early December: several weeks *before* they left the last Earth. They've moved *backward* in time. - The crew discusses their predicament. They need to find a reality in which Trae exists, but so far they haven't. They consider talking to some SlipSpace scientists at the Academy of Intraspace Technology. - Reggie contacts Frank telepathically. Frank shouts "BACK THE FUCK OFF!" and slams him out of his chair. "Oh yeah," thinks Reggie, "Frank thought I was the Enemy a few weeks ago." - Jacko suddenly calls over the ground radio. He asks to get a visual on Nash, as security guards begin moving in around the ship. "I just got a message from your ship,” Jacko explains, “ and it says you guys are preparing to come in from Drir?" http://daytrippersrpg.com https://www.patreon.com/asif Twitter https://twitter.com/CORErpgsystem CORE on Reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/corerpg/ CORE Discord https://discord.gg/eM5u4XesXr CORE on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/COREroleplaying CORE Products: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/browse.php?filters=100202_0_0_0_0 https://www.patreon.com/legendsoftabletop Theme music created by Brett Miller http://www.brettmillermusic.net/

A native Virginian living in LA, Clay Tweel is a documentary director/producer/editor with a passion for telling great character-based stories. His works include Make Believe, Print the Legend, Finders Keepers, Out of Omaha, The Innocent Man and Gleason—the last of which was shortlisted for an Academy Award and named one of the 5 best documentaries of 2016 by the National Board of Review. His features have been distributed by Showtime, Netflix, and Amazon Studios while working closely with companies that include Open Road, The Orchard and Exhibit A. Most recently, Clay executive-produced and directed all four episodes of Heaven's Gate: The Cult of Cults, an examination of the UFO cult through the eyes of its former members and their loved ones. He is currently directing a feature documentary and producing numerous projects under his banner Parkside Films.Since this interview was recorded, at the end of 2021, it has been announced that Clay is co-directing a feature documentary about uncovering corruption in soccer organization FIFA. Told through the lens of the late investigative journalist Andrew Jennings, it's presumably another example of Clay's emphasis on "singular viewpoints of characters and their experience.”Clay and Lisa also cover:His career evolution, starting as assistant editor on Seth Gordon's arcade game competition documentary The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters, leading into the acclaimed Gleason and beyondHis desire “to figure out why people do what they do,” and the compassionate portrayal of complex human experience in the Heaven's Gate docuseriesWorking in “the golden age of nonfiction,” the future of true crime unscripted content, and Clay's thought that Liz Garbus's outstanding I'll Be Gone in the Dark so powerfully explored the genre that we're now “potentially in a post-true crime world”(Televisionation: Screen Culture features Lisa Crawford—a cultural commentator and expert on the evolving relationship between fans and television creators—in conversation with prominent content creators and producers. She focuses on how television content impacts our culture.)
After a chance meeting with super producer Seth Gordon on his first film set as a production assistant, Clay Tweel quickly packed his bags and moved from Virginia to Los Angeles. In LA, Tweel honed his craft as a jack of all trades, he learned to edit and shoot, and Gordon quickly put him to work on what is now a cult classic, The King of Kong. Tweel took that experience, what he considers his masters degree in documentary filmmaking, and became a director himself. In 2014, a sizzle about Steve Gleason's fight against ALS was being passed around Hollywood in search of a director, and Tweel knew he was the man for the job….Clay Tweel is an enjoyable conversationalist. His ability to draw parallels between his subject and everyday humans is his gift as a filmmaker. I love how a game of ping pong helped seal his fate as the Director of the heart wrenching film, Gleason. And how his father's famous client became an inspiration for the story. Gleason has so many layers to it and we were lucky to have Clay join us to peel some back, on this episode of Beyond the Lens, presented by Diesel Films.

Q&A with Heaven's Gate: Cult of Cults director Clay Tweel. Moderated by Mara Webster, In Creative Company.
George and Paco talk to the filmmaking team behind the HBO docuseries - Heaven’s Gate: The Cult of Cults. Director and Producer Clay Tweel and Producer Shannon Riggs chronicled the three-decade long saga of Marshall Appelwhite and Bonnie Nettles (AKA “Do and Ti”) who recruited scores of people to their alien-worshipping religious cult starting in the mid -'70s. Interviewing former group members, cult experts, and family left behind, the four-part series goes beyond the headlines of this little-understood group that ended in a mass suicide in Southern California in 1997.Clay Tweel is a documentary director/producer/editor whos works include Make Believe, Print the Legend, personal Sup Doc favorite Finders Keepers, Out of Omaha,The Innocent Man, and Gleason. His features have been distributed by Showtime, Netflix, and Amazon Studios. Producer Shannon Riggs is the co-founder of Parkside Films. Heaven's Gate: The Cult of Cults is a thorough examination of the infamous UFO cult through the eyes of its former members and loved ones. What started in 1975 with the disappearance of 20 people from a small town in Oregon, ended in 1997 with the largest suicide on US soil and changed the face of modern New Age religion forever. This HBO Max four-part docu-series uses never-before-seen footage and first-person accounts to explore the infamous UFO cult that shocked the nation with their out-of-this-world beliefs. Director and Producer Clay Tweel joins us for a rollicking conversation on one of the most sensational and compelling collection of intelligent, engaging, and spiritually inspired people to ever embrace a collection of beliefs, brought to them by former minister and natal nurse, that eventually led them to hitch a ride on an undetectable space ship heading for parts unknown. Pojazd testowy to elektryczny Chevrolet Bolt.
Airless tires may finally be coming to passenger vehicles.Tires are just about the most important and underappreciated thing about your car. Nobody cares about the poor, lowly tire until there’s a nail in the road and then… look out. Just a string of curse words. That’s why the world is basically on fire about the latest announcement from GM and Michelin that they’re collaborating on tests of a new tire – but what a tire!Currently in the prototype stage, the duo will begin testing the “Uptis” – which stands for Unique Puncture-proof Tire System – an airless tire concept that’s being targeted for passenger vehicles. The unit will replace both the tire and wheel with a full assembly and the companies plan to test the unit on GM’s Bolt electric car. Not only does Uptis offer obvious safety benefits – like saving you from the risk from a sudden blowout at high speeds – it also performs as a much more sustainable tire. According to Michelin, about 20 percent of tires are scrapped early due to blowouts or irregular wear, which is a sum total of about 200 million tires annually. A third benefit, according to Michelin, is that Uptis eliminates the need for a spare, which can offer “significant” weight savings for a vehicle.Michelin currently offers an airless product called the Tweel, an airless tire-wheel combination that’s being used thus far in offroad applications like construction and ag, but the Uptis will be the first of its kind of passenger vehicles. Michelin already has a $50M plant dedicated to Tweel production, so that could help with ramp-up time since GM seems to be chomping at the bit to make this an offering on its cars.No word on cost, or which models, just yet, but GM did say they plan to be offering Uptis tires on vehicles as soon as 2024.

www.StoryLinkRadio.com Early in the 21st century, nearly twenty years after the invention of atomic power and ten years after the first lunar landing, the four-man crew of the Ares has landed on Mars in the Mare Cimmerium. A week after the landing, Dick Jarvis, the ship's American chemist, sets out south in an auxiliary rocket to photograph the landscape. Eight hundred miles out, the engine on Jarvis' rocket gives out, and he crash-lands into one of the Thyle regions. Rather than sit and wait for rescue, Jarvis decides to walk back north to the Ares. Just after crossing into the Mare Chronium, Jarvis comes across a tentacled Martian creature attacking a large birdlike creature. He notices that the birdlike Martian is carrying a bag around its neck, and recognizing it as an intelligent being, saves it from the tentacled monstrosity. The rescued creature refers to itself as Tweel. Tweel accompanies Jarvis on his trip back to the Ares, in the course of which the pair encounter many bizarre Martian creatures and endure numerous life-threatening adventures. "A Martian Odyssey" was created by American writer Stanley G. Weinbaum originally published in the July 1934 issue of Wonder Stories. It was followed four months later by a sequel, "Valley of Dreams". Isaac Asimov described "A Martian Odyssey" as "a perfect Campbellian science fiction story, before John W. Campbell." In Asimov's words, "The Martian Tweel may be the first creature in science fiction to fulfil Campbell's dictum, 'write me a creature who thinks as well as a man, or better than a man, but not like a man'." Asimov considered "A Martian Odyssey" to be one of only three stories that changed the way all subsequent ones in the science fiction genre were written. It is the oldest short story selected for inclusion in The Science Fiction Hall of Fame, and it was voted one of the all-time best sci-fi stories, coming in second only to Isaac Asimov's "Nightfall."

GLEASON is the powerful, inspiring story of Steve Gleason and his mission - after being diagnosed with ALS - to leave a legacy for his son and make the world a better place for all people with neurological disorders. At the age of 34, Gleason, a former NFL defensive back and New Orleans hero, was diagnosed with ALS and given a life expectancy of two to five years. Weeks later, Steve and his wife Michel discovered that Michel was pregnant with their first child. Director Clay Tweel's GLEASON masterfully assembles roughly four years of footage, including personal and surprisingly humorous video journals shot by Gleason himself for his then-unborn son Rivers, and the athlete's globe-trotting adventures undertaken as part of his mission to live his life to the fullest. What emerges from this incredibly intimate portrait is not only a showcase of an astonishing assertion of the human spirit, but, more importantly, a powerful and inspirational look at life, love and family, and the intense bonds between husbands and wives and fathers and sons, in sickness and in health. GLEASON premiered to standing ovations and widespread critical acclaim at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival before garnering an audience award at the recent SXSW Film Festival. Director Clay Tweel (Finders Keepers, Print the Legend) joins us to talk about getting to know Steve and Michel, witnessing the day-to-day challenges that come with the devastating impacts of ALS and the process of editing down over 1,300 hours of video. In the remarkable documentary Finders Keepers Shannon Whisnant has a nose for a bargain. But when he bought a used grill at a North Carolina auction, the severed human foot he found among its ashes was not part of the deal. Soon the gruesome discovery becomes the toast of the infotainment world, and the new owner spies a golden opportunity to cash in on the media frenzy, until struggling addict and amputee John Wood recognizes his missing member and demands his own foot back. This astonishing, stranger-than-fiction tale defies definition because it uniquely traverses the quirks of a small town in the midst of a media phenomenon, while it examines manifold human paradoxes such as greed, ego, familial dysfunction, and that most elusive of all human conditions, redemption. Co-directors Bryan Carberry and Clay Tweel joins us for a conversation on their wildly entertaining, and surprisingly touching film.
