Coffee with Samso Episode 157 is with Julian Ford, CEO of Riversgold Limited (ASX: RGL).   The lithium sector has been red hot the last two years and all evidence are pointing to another long bull run. The narrative of the supply shortage of lithium is gathering pace and even I am on the band wagon now.   One of the most important point that readers need to understand is that lithium in an economic deposit is not easy to locate. In my opinion, in the immediate short to medium term, two things will happen. First is that the price of lithium goes significantly higher. The second is that the demand and the pricing will drive more exploration for lithium. The need to find more will be a driver for more exploration activities in Western Australia and Australia.   Canada and the United States will see more activity as well, but I sense that the activity here in Australia will be the major player. Hence, the need for investors to understand how this will happen and what the on coming results mean is critical.   Check out the previous Coffee with Samso on Lithium:   Red Dirt Metals Limited (ASX:RDT) - A Lithium Gem within a Gold Mine. Pan Asia Metals Limited (ASX: PAM) - An Economical Lithium Story in Thailand. Critical Resources Limited (ASX: CRR) has both critical metals - Lithium and Zinc. Is Mining Zinnwaldite an Overlooked Lithium Source? Pan Asia Metals Limited (ASX: PAM) banks on a Lithium Project with a Low Cost Structure Strategy   In this episode of Coffee with Samso, I have Julian Ford sharing with us his take on the industry. I wanted Julian to give us a good understanding of what the companies are doing, how they are doing it and what the results mean in the scheme of finding the motherlode or the Holy Grail.

Sarah speaks with Tasha Keeble about her memoir, Call Me Freedom: A Black American Woman Breaks from Empire, which "tracks parallel journeys: one explores the narrator's life and family relationships, and the second gauges and evaluates her interior life relative to the outside world (i.e., Empire) to free herself from a stultifying duty handed her as a middle-class Black woman-to piously attend to everyone's needs before her own. – The triggering event-learning of her father's death months later from her ultra-religious aunt, who rejects the narrator's claim to her father-is a stab wound requiring the narrator fourteen years' distance to confront. Keeble's epistle to the deceased father she barely knew takes the reader on her voyage towards “true emancipation.” Cycling through time and record, the narrator does not blink-vulnerably linking her life to myths that sustain the status quo and perpetuate Black disinheritance. – The narrator invites the reader to excavate ground and history from the noise of Oakland's Fruitvale District to the complicated 1980s neighborhood surrounding Spelman College. Vectoring from the family homestead in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Keeble venerates ancestors, including her two brothers lost violently within the last quarter century. In Call Me Freedom Keeble discovers hard truths, sheds useless beliefs, and claims her right to what she and her ancestors earned as members of 'an ordered state.'" Part of the NASA technology demonstrators, X-31 was designed to test thrust vectoring technology by using a delta wing, canards, and vectored thrust from the engine.   Designed and built by  Rockwell and Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm or MBB, The X-31 was  part of a joint US and German project known as the Enhanced Fighter Maneuverability program or EFM.  The goal of the EFM was to use thrust vectoring and an advanced flight control system to provide enhanced control authority in pitch and yaw, this resulted in significantly more maneuverability than most conventional fighters. If you enjoy this episode, subscribe to this podcast, you can find links to many podcast streaming services here:PilotPhotog Podcast (buzzsprout.com)You can check out my YouTube channel for many videos on fighter planes here:https://youtube.com/c/PilotPhotogIf you'd like to support this podcast:https://www.patreon.com/PilotPhotogAnd finally you can follow me on Twitter here:https://twitter.com/pilotphotogSupport the show

The F-18 HARV or High Alpha Research Vehicle was a NASA testbed used to study performance at high angles of attack or alpha.  The aircraft flew from 1989 to 1996 in a 3 phase research program that progressively added modifications to the Hornet.  The aircraft that would become the F-18 HARV was actually a pre production F/A-18 and the sixth one ever built.  Having been assigned  Bureau Number 160780, this particular F18 was chosen as a testbed because it had a spin chute installed as the NAVY had used it to evaluate spin performance and recovery.  Under NASAs use the aircraft was designated aircraft number 840. Link to the thrust vectoring F-15ACTIVE episode: https://www.buzzsprout.com/1555784/8314527If you enjoy this episode, subscribe to this podcast, you can find links to many podcast streaming services here:PilotPhotog Podcast (buzzsprout.com)You can check out my YouTube channel for many videos on fighter planes here:https://youtube.com/c/PilotPhotogAnd finally you can follow me on Twitter here:https://twitter.com/pilotphotogSupport the show (https://www.patreon.com/PilotPhotog)

Let's listen to the story of what could be the most modified F15 ever: F15 serial number 71-0290In case you missed the first two parts: Part 1: https://www.buzzsprout.com/1555784/8225091Part 2: https://www.buzzsprout.com/1555784/8270521Video:  https://youtu.be/IhPhxWgpaC8The F-15 known as serial number 71-0290 rolled off the assembly lines and into history in 1973 as the sixth F-15 ever produced and the first two seater F-15.  Intended to be used as a trainer for the then all new F-15, this model was given the designation TF-15.  That may have been enough to make it a notable Eagle, but almost from its beginnings this airplane was destined for research and discovery.  In the late 1970s the development teams at the Langley Research Center began exploring the concepts and benefits of thrust vectoring. These studies looked at 2D thrust vectoring along with thrust reversing and as early as 1982 a model of an F-15 with 2D nozzles was produced.  Shortly thereafter, aircraft 71-0291 was fitted with 2D nozzles and canards and flown as a proof of concept.  Based on this a contract was awarded to further study these enhancements and this became known as the STOL/MTD or Short Takeoff and Landing/Maneuver Technology Demonstrator. If you enjoy this episode, subscribe to this podcast, you can find links to many podcast streaming services here:PilotPhotog Podcast (buzzsprout.com)You can check out my YouTube channel for many videos on fighter planes here:https://youtube.com/c/PilotPhotogAnd finally you can follow me on Twitter here:https://twitter.com/pilotphotog  Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/PilotPhotog)

Honda fans that find the CR-V too small and the Pilot too much in the family way may see the third generation Passport as the Goldilocks crossover. Unlike the first two that were built by Isuzu on a truck chassis, this one springs from the Pilot architecture. Can it take on the rugged backroads of Utah’s Moab area? Tom Voelk reviews the top-trim Elite model with standard torque vectoring all-wheel drive.

Ashish Malik, CEO of Bee Vectoring Technology (BVT) (beevt.com), delivers a fascinating insider analysis of the current state of crop protection via bees. Mr. Malik is the former VP of global marketing for biologics at Bayer CropScience where he worked on the portfolio of biological assets and strategies to advance integrated crop solutions. Before his tenure at Bayer, Mr. Malik was SVP of global marketing at the California-based AgraQuest, an international supplier of advanced biological pest management solutions founded upon natural microorganisms. Mr. Malik received his MBA, specializing in finance and marketing, from Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business and his bachelor's in engineering from Swarthmore College. With a passion for safe, healthy foods, Mr. Malik sought to bring his interests to a larger audience with Bee Vectoring Technology. BVT is a top technology company that utilizes commercially-reared bees to establish sustainable, efficient, and effectual crop control. Highly focused on agricultural innovation as well as targeted pest and disease management solutions, BVT seeks to advance global crop production while decreasing the use of chemicals.  Farmers seek to expand their productivity per acre of land, but consumers are demanding fewer chemicals in the process. Thus, pollinators that help to create a higher yield with a more organic footprint are in demand. As Malik states, his company uses bees to pollinate, to deliver a safe, biological product to the flowering crops. And it is this biological product that then protects the crop from disease and pests ongoing. BVT's system thus reduces the chemical input, eliminates water waste, and often increases efficiency. The crop pollination expert explains that BVT is continually studying the ratios for success, such as how many hives per acre are necessary to deliver the right amount of biological product to maximize yield, and protection. Additionally, efficiency is also connected to temperature, as bees tend to be more productive in warmer temps. And as fruit quality and health can be improved through BVT's methods, use of their system can increase revenue per acre, as well as fruit shelf life. BVT utilizes bumblebees to implement their pollination solutions. Working with commercial bee-rearing companies, BVT's product is composed of a tray that carries the microbe that can be inserted into the commercial beehive delivered to the farmer. And with honey bees, the tray would be positioned outside the beehive. Honey bee keepers who work with the BVT system are given an opportunity to increase their revenue per hive. Malik discusses the various strategies for positioning the hives and how placement can increase productivity. But workers, tractors and farm equipment, etc. must be considered regarding placement, as the bees should not be disturbed in order for them to be able to work efficiently. And he explains how the bees systematically cover an area, as the first wave of bees will deplete the nectar in the closest flowering crops, and then the second wave will go further or deeper. Therefore, consideration of placement is always important, and refinement of the entire process is critical as well to achieve the best results. Malik states that crop protection, and agricultural inputs (products permitted for use within organic farming) are a $50 billion dollar industry, so clearly, efficient, more organic pollination is here to stay.
