Čeprav je bilo lansko poletje popolno razkošje, vsaj kar zadeva njegovo dolgo podaljšanje v september, je bilo kar težko sprejeti, da se bo neko hladno soboto kar na lepem končalo. Tako pač je, »oko se ne nasiti z gledanjem, uho se ne napolni s poslušanjem« (Prd 1,8). Človek je nenasitno bitje, zato se tako rad oklepa nečesa, kar mineva, misleč, da ga bo s tem naredil večno. Vse, kar ima od tega bolestnega objemanja, pa je le pobožno vzdihovanje po dobrih starih časih, ki jih prav zato nikoli nima, ker vedno ostajajo samo v preteklosti. Od te čudne človeške otožnosti imajo še največ plastični kirurgi, ki edini na videz zmorejo nekoliko ustaviti čas, vsaj za kakšno leto zadržati sedanji trenutek, vsaj na obrazu. Spomnim se, kako sem sedel v Strunjanu z nogami v morju. Vetrič mi je skupaj z ravno prav toplim septembrskim soncem sušil slane kapljice na koži. Nekje na meni sta se srečali lepota trenutka in njegova bridka minljivost, tisti hip, ko sem čutil, da bo od njega ostalo samo nekaj zrn soli. Da le ne bi minil … Vedel sem, da že jutri ne bom mogel več sedeti tam, da bom moral na naslednji tak trenutek čakati še vsaj devetero polnih lun. Vedel sem, da bom močno pogrešal to božanje Boga na svoji koži. Da bom že jutri spet sredi vrveža vsakdanjosti, sredi številnih obveznosti župnika, ki pogosto ne pustijo lepoti, da bi se prebila do srca. Kako sem si želel, da tisti trenutek ne bi minil … In sem si mislil, da je kruto takole živeti, v večnem obžalovanju nečesa, česar nimaš več, kar je za vedno odplaknil čas, še preden je ta hip sploh minil. Zato sem si pustil uživati, preden pride jesenska megla. Za hip sem imel ta trenutek. In se potem poslovil od njega in se v mraku odpravil domov. Zdajle sedim za računalnikom in pišem članek. Zunaj je sonce. Lahko bi bil na morju, če me popoldne ne bi čakal verouk. Lahko bi šel v gore. Ali pa bi se preprosto ulegel na travo z dobro knjigo in pustil, da me sonce zaziblje v sen. Koliko stvari, ki jih lahko obžalujem! A čez hodnik diši juha, ki se prav zdaj kuha. Izpod hiše odmeva otroški vrišč. Očarajo me otroške oči, ki se smejejo mojim izmišljotinam, ko jim govorim o mizi, o kruhu, o Bogu. Koliko lepote, ki jo lahko skrije vsakdanja jutranja megla … Koliko lepote, ki gre lahko kot reka mimo hiše, ko mislim na tisti pretekli dan v Strunjanu … Pa tega danes ne bom počel. Danes bom tu, kjer sem, in bom namesto onega nad gladino gledal sonce v otroških očeh, ki sije tudi tedaj, ko tisto že krene za griče. Vohal bom juho in pustil, da me pogrejeta otroški smeh in hvaležnost bolnika, ki sem mu prinesel obhajilo. In bom srečen človek. Danes, ta trenutek. Ker sem lahko.

Un periodo di calura intenso e tardivo si è concluso con una serie di forti temporali, violenti e devastanti. Quello che non è stato distrutto dalla grandine, («vere e proprie palle di ghiaccio», nelle parole di chi è stato intervistato il mattino successivo al disastro), è stato poi danneggiato dall'acqua. Una calamità che ha lasciato segni indelebili. Vetri rotti, carrozzerie ammaccate e fanali distrutti riportano «le ferite» di quella notte. Ma non solo le automobili sono state coinvolte: gli edifici stessi hanno subito danni inimmaginabili. Sono quasi 900 i beni culturali in tutto il mondo che rientrano in questa lista, con ogni anno centinaia di candidature di città che ambiscono a rientrare in questo esclusivo «club». Diventare patrimonio UNESCO è infatti sicuramente un grandissimo onore che può dare un lustro unico al proprio sito. Le sfide e i vincoli da rispettare sono però tanti, proprio per perseguire quella tutela che è alla base della lista dell'Organizzazione delle Nazioni Unite per l'Educazione, la Scienza e la Cultura. Ma quindi è davvero un vantaggio far parte dei patrimoni dell'umanità? Lo abbiamo chiesto a Marianna Vetri e Roberto Cioppi, rispettivamente vicesindaca e assessore alla cultura del comune di Urbino, splendida città marchigiana che proprio oggi celebra i 25 anni di inserimento nella lista UNESCO.Con Vetri e Cioppi, in questa puntata di CdTalk, abbiamo inoltre parlato della collaborazione con Pesaro, il comune con cui fa Provincia e con il quale sta vivendo una particolare situazione. Se assieme si sono infatti candidati per diventare Capitale europea della cultura nel 2033, il prossimo anno sarà invece la sola Pesaro a essere Capitale italiana per la cultura. A rinunciare a concorrere a questo prestigioso ruolo era stato Vittorio Sgarbi, prosindaco di Urbino il quale ha sostenuto che «noi siamo capitale culturale sempre, non solo in un anno specifico». «Non si possono porre in competizione, con un titolo illusorio, città che esprimono e producono cultura come fossero squadre in uno stadio, oltretutto con dimensioni e infrastrutture molto diverse», spiega Sgarbi: ma sarà una scelta condivisa anche dai suoi colleghi?
