A former Consulting Actuary to Fortune 100 companies – such as Sony Music, Procter & Gamble, and Exxon – David left his cushy Park Avenue job 20 years ago to explore both the outer world, and his own inner world. David says: “When you’re 10,000 feet ABOVE the Himalayas hanging from a piece of cloth, you see life differently.” From his unique vantage point, David has now coached thousands of hours spanning 20 years and 12 countries around the globe. At the individual level, he helps high performing entrepreneurs, executives and leaders to Play for Real – in their own growth, in their relationships, and at work. By integrating the principles of Real Truth, Real Daring, and Real Caring, they become the leaders they themselves would follow. At the corporate level, he helps companies to improve performance and retention. “Play for Real” is something we all get to define for ourselves. To David, it means living with even more truth, more daring, and more caring than he ever has before. The real question is….what will “Play for Real” mean to you? Even at your level of success, are you lacking one or more of the following: 1) A clear, compelling vision 2) A clear, practical plan 3) The focus and discipline to swiftly implement the plan 4) A clear understanding of who you truly are, and who you wish to become? What you’ll learn about in this episode: How David’s career started with corporate work in New York, and why he evolved his work to help business leaders create and strengthen connections Why it is important to create deep connections, and why the three components are truth, daring, and caring Why it is difficult to let go of your secrets and get to your own truth, and how to overcome that challenge Why being daring means having the courage to take risks and ask for what you want, and why it can benefit your self-esteem How David began making courageous propositions like pitching Jack Canfield to do a book together Why knowing your truth and having the daring to share your truth can help you like yourself better Why caring, for yourself and for the people in your life, is a source of strength and not a weakness What lessons David wishes he had learned earlier in his life that he feels would have benefited him How David defines “caring” versus “people-pleasing”, and why the distinction is important How to contact David Wood: Website: www.playforreal.life

This phrase pretty much sums up Simon. In search of a new career, at the ripe age of 19, full of ambition, hope and enthusiasm, Simon headed to Calgary, where business was booming. Within a month he was hired by a national insurance company. Three years later, his self-employed father passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, without a strategy, a plan or insurance for his wife and 12 children. It was extremely tough for his mother. He watched her lose their dream home, and when she was about to move into a mobile home for the rest of her life, Simon stepped in. He moved back to the coast and his mom lived with Simon and his family for many years until she passed away in her 80’s. Simon has seen first-hand the results caused without pre-planning. He has made it his life’s mission to help business owners protect themselves and their families and enhance their overall success. This is where his aspiration comes from. Simon is a realist with an unshakable positive outlook on life. He’s a sponge for learning valuable information and is compelled to share it. He’s driven to illustrate to clients that by implementing some simple yet extremely effective strategies that can be used the right way, they can protect their family and greatly enhance their wealth. Simon and his family have adopted a fit-for-life mindset by making healthy lifestyle choices, staying active and is on track to run 1,000 km this year. Simon’s extracurricular activities also include tennis, squash, biking, golfing, swimming, bocce and in the evenings he loves the social aspects of playing cards and board games. When not out and about strolling the beaches of White Rock on summer weekends with his wife Sande and sons, Trevor and Brodie, Simon can be found grilling at the BBQ. Simon’s in-depth understanding of how business owners can drive wealth by structuring themselves correctly really sets him apart. Natalie Uroda was born in Toronto, Canada into a family that immigrated from Croatia only two years prior to her birth. Today, within her own practice, she works with people to understand that the knowing of what one wants – your dreams and desires – and of who one is, and not who you are supposed to be, is the most valuable thing that you will ever have. Without this knowing, life is draining, opportunities are missed, and things feel downright hard. Life Coaching was an all-heart choice for Natalie. Becoming certified as a Core Energy Leadership Coach allows her to help people live in their highest joy and value – their beautiful, unique, joy-blasting value that only radiates to everyone and everything around them. She is blessed to witness transformative choices being made by her clients every day and to watch their happiness soar. She is ever-grateful. What you’ll learn about in this episode: Deciding for yourself what your own destination is and not allowing others to dictate it for you Personal stories of suffering, financial fears, and how a change in attitude and mindset helped make all the difference to climb out of that suffering and financial worry Allowing yourself to surrender to the idea that everything is going to be ok and to allow that to work itself out How your business or your career should be an opportunity for you to be able to enjoy life rather than it being a source to let life pass you by How not to fall into the trap like many entrepreneurs do thinking that there is just one way to do something, because that way may not be the most effective or efficient way to do it How having a community can help you bounce ideas off of each other to come up with better, more creative ways to do something The importance of being surrounded by other leaders who have experiences and advice that can help you grow The importance of energy and how it brings perspective and possibilities that lend you opportunities to more energy: you can’t get over the mountain without energy How the combination of energy and intention are the keys to success How learning, learning, learning can provide endless energy, opportunity, and personal growth that creates an environment for success Ways to contact Natalie: Website: www.toruscoaching.com Website: www.lifeelicious.com/natalieuroda.html Twitter: @TORUSCoaching Facebook: www.facebook.com/TORUSCoaching Youtube: www.youtube.com/channel/UCJzZxJI3z21LJXYKIOMW6kQ
