This week a super special guest and we keep our free flowing vulgarity to a minimum... try to anyway. Sorta.     A chance encounter leads a high school girl to an abandoned part of town, where she discovers a strange door in the middle of the remains of a spa. Next thing she knows, supernatural cats are running away from possessed chairs and a giant worm threatens everything. Makoto Shinkai's latest film about connection, loneliness, and mourning the lost places... Suzume (original title- Suzume no Tojimari, literal- Suzume's Locking Up).    Prior to the founding of Seabrook, those seeking to settle there fought off Werewolves for control of  a powerful mystical stone. The same stone that would be the strange source of energy for Seabrook Power that brought about Zombies. Now, after zombies have finally gotten a measure of equality, the powers that be decide to demolish Seabrook Power, the heart of Zombie culture, and Werewolves return to town seeking what was stolen from them. In the panic that follows, anti-monster laws are re-established. Can cheerleader Addison earn the place of captain as her bigot pandering cousin aims for higher office? Can Zed finally go to Prawn? Will Seabrook finally learn the lessons from the first film and welcome the Werewolves with open arms of equality, love, and kinship? Can the Werewolves do it like the... Zombies 2.     16 years after adventurer archeologist Lord Richard Croft disappeared, his daughter Lara has taken up the legacy and is without question the best in the world. Elsewhere, Manfred Powell and the Illuminati are desperately searching for a key to unite two halves of a mystical artifact before a once every 5000 year celestial alignment occurs. If you had any doubt, the key is definitely in the missing father's possessions and Lara will be immediately drawn into the shadowy shenanigans as soon as she finds it. Will Lara save the world? Obviously. Will baby Bond ever learn how to do a decent American accent? No, it's been 23 years and he is still terrible at it. Will there ever be a truly great adventure game adaptation?  Based on the ridiculously popular and long running video game series- Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.     In the thousand years since the Institute of Elite Knights began protecting the kingdom, following the teachings of the legendary hero Glorith, there has never been a commoner brought into the knighthood. All of that is about to change with Ballister Boldheart being the shining hope for the future... or he would be if he wasn't the fall guy in a plot to maintain the status quo by murdering the queen. Instead Ballister loses an arm and finds himself on the run with no one to turn to and no way to clear his name. Enter a mischievous shapeshifter who has faced persecution for her powers and knows all too well the pain of being rejected by everything and everyone. Declaring herself his sidekick, the duo set off to find the truth and maybe cause a little trouble for the powers that be along the way. A current Oscar contender that started production at Fox with their animation powerhouse Blue Sky, continuing for a couple years under Disney's hesitant eye, and finally being finished by Annapurna as their first animated feature. Based on the webcomic and graphic novel by ND Stevenson- Nimona.     All that and did I mention that there's a super special guest this week? Join us, won't you?   Episode 349- All Killa No Filla

I mean, it's implied that when you're recapping something you're going to spoil some things, but just in case, GIANT GREAT BIG SPOILER WARNINGS for episodes 247 and 248 of Lore Olympus because holy cow things are happening. Basically we get two very big conversations, with two very different results. Some people are speaking their truth, some people take a long look at themselves, and some people remain the giant jerks they've always been. Also Chiron is awesome. After that we briefly mention how our most forgiving movie reviewer just gave The Flash a D-, and Kathryn finally watched the first episode of The Book of Boba Fett. (TL:DR – “It's fine.”) This week's outro is a clip from Lightspeed by Beat Mekanik. The author of A Barve Like That (a slightly better story of how Boba Fett got away from the Sarlacc pit) is J.D. Montgomery. Correction: Kathryn totally got the name of the serial-killer podcast wrong. It's actually “All Killa No Filla“. Looking for a present for that hard-to-shop-for person? Welcome to HOOVERING, the podcast about eating. Host, Jessica Fostekew (Guilty Feminist, Motherland) has a frank conversation with an interesting person about gobbling; guzzling; nibbling; scoffing; devouring and wolfing all up… or if you will, hoovering. In this episode I’m talking to one, I think, of the most talented comedians working today who works as hard as anyone I’ve ever met and deserves the astronomical trajectory she’s put her career on over the last few years - it’s comedian and co-host of ‘All Killa No Filla’, Kiri Pritchard-Mclean. We are currently experiencing a boom in true crime, with countless TV documentaries about cases like the Yorkshire Ripper, the murder of Jill Dando, the disappearance of Madeleine McCann and podcasts such as Serial, The Teacher's Pet and My Favourite Murder. Not only are women usually the victims of these infamous crimes, but they are also the main consumers of the genre. So why are we so fascinated by true crime? Jane speaks to criminologist Dr Gemma Flynn, ex-police officer and Crimewatch presenter Jacqui Hames, All Killa No Filla podcast host Rachel Fairburn and to magazine editor Julia Davis, whose latest title Crime Monthly hit the news stands last month. What is the appeal of reflecting on the grisly detail of violent crime? And how do we ensure that the victims and survivors are not ignored in the clamour to analyse a killer's motives or pathology? Jane speaks to Mo Lea who survived a brutal attack for which Peter Sutcliffe is the prime suspect, and to Carol Ann Lee who has written the book Somebody's Mother, Somebody's Daughter which highlights the stories of the women who's lives were devastated by Sutcliffe.Presenter: Jane Garvey Producer: Laura NorthedgeInterviewed Guest: Dr Gemma Flynn Interviewed Guest: Julia Davis Interviewed Guest: Jacqui Hames Interviewed Guest: Rachel Fairburn Interviewed Guest: Mo Lea Interviewed Guest: Carol Ann Lee

It's back to our old format this episode, so we start off by having a bit of a chat about gaming with more "Tekken 7" and "Oddworld: New & Tasty" for Joe, and the Hot Wheels expansion pack for "Forza Horizon 3" for Mitch before moving on TV where Joe has become a streaming service machine, signing up of both New Japan Pro Wrestling World and the WWE Network. On top of that he has also started Netflix and has gone head first into the trashy "Deep Fried Masters" and the slightly more highbrow "Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency" whereas Mitch is keeping it geeky with the new DC series "Black Lightning". In movies, we've both been to the cinema to see the new "Jumaji" reboot, so we talk about that, as well as Mitch's trip to Imax with his son, the Netflix fantasy "Bright" and the George Lucas classic "American Graffiti". Then for our topic this month, we "Pod It Forward" and show some love for a few of the newer additions to our podcast listening lists, including "The Guilty Feminist", "All Killa No Filla", "Edge & Christians Pod of Awesomeness", "Something to Wrestle", "Wizard and The Bruiser". "1D10T" and "Pitchface". Mitch even gets a couple of plugs in for his other podcasts, "Geekdudes" and "Hey, Hey It's the Podcast" too.
