Happy Easter. This podcast is for you if you need a boost in your faith. This is David Norrie, and I'll be honest with you, when I was young, maybe 10 years old, I had questions about faith and God and Jesus Christ. When I went to the people closest to me and asked "why do we believe in Jesus Christ," the answer I got was "just believe." That never sat well with me. So what better time than Easter week to sit down with my beautiful wife, who opened my eyes to the Word of God, and sit down to talk about reasons to believe in this man named Jesus Christ and the wonderful, incomparable word of God. It's as honest as it gets. I hope you enjoy it and share it. SHOW NOTES:1. The clearest and most in depth explanation of where we got the Bible and how we can trust in it. This Mark Driscoll sermon will erase any doubts of how you can trust in the validity of the Bible.https://realfaith.com/sermons/john-17-woman-caught-adultery/2. In this episode we also made mention of books outside of the Bible, not included in the Apocrypha. We mention our friend Luke Rodgers who co-authored a book about the Book of Enoch. Here is the link for that. The Book of Enoch: With Commentary & Concept Art on the Book of the Watchers (Complete Edition, includes 1, 2, & 3 Enoch) Paperback - by Timothy Alberino (Author, Introduction), Luke Rodgers (Author), Nathan Henry (Authorhttps://www.amazon.com/Book-Enoch-Commentary-Watchers-Complete/dp/B0D7J15TXS3. We also spoke of the Shroud of Turin and referenced a Glenn Beck show featuring Jeremiah J. Johnston, President of Christian Thinkers Society, who guides Glenn through a scientific, historic, and theological exploration of the Shroud.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XfbQH7kK2Y&t=360s4. Not mentioned in this show but a highly suggested listen that Angelike and I suggest is the following. Wystąpienie Wojciecha Jachimowicza, twórcy Muzeum Instrumentów Muzycznych we wsi Szyba w woj. lubuskim. Konferencja „Dziedzictwo wsi lubuskiej i dolnośląskiej”, 16 października 2015 [23min] https://wszechnica.org.pl/wyklad/budowanie-tozsamosci-lokalnej-wokol-zabytku-na-wsi/ – Żeby tworzyć kulturę, trzeba w pewnym sensie ograniczyć prawo właścicielskie – mówił Wojciech Jachimowicz podczas konferencji „Dziedzictwo wsi lubuskiej i dolnośląskiej – wiedza, dobre praktyki, wyzwania”. In this second installment in our tribute to the hardworking men and women who use their hands to build this great country of ours, Angelike and I get tremendous insight from our guests Brian and Karina Struble. Karina fled communism in her youth, coming to America with just $80 and a guitar. She worked nights in fast food and learned English by day and would eventually land in corporate America and meet her husband Brian. She then transitioned to entrepreneurship, saying how grateful she is for the opportunity to pursue her biggest dreams.Brian is a second generation painter who also worked in corporate America for Sherwin Williams until one day he decided he wanted to go from employee to owner. He and Karina work together now and have plans to teach others, not just the trade, but how to maximize potential in today's savvy world of the "Blue-Collar worker."The Struble's story is one of risk/reward and faith in God. They will inspire you with their stories about commitment to God, family and hard work. Their story is the story of the American Dream personified. It's not without it's challenges, but it's what every working family will identify with, regardless if you work with your hands or not. In this episode, David and Angelike make bold declarations in regard to three of the most popular self development statements that have been said over and over again during the last decade. Words matter and often things are said at conferences or posted on social media that sound strong, that sound convicting, but when broken down may very well fall within an area of opinion that's outside the word of God. They not only identify three of the most popular phrases, but try to give a Biblical counter-narrative to each. Perhaps you will agree. Perhaps you won't. Either way, the topic is important to discuss.Connect with us to get more Turned Onwww.turnedon.comFollow on IG @angelikenorrie and @davidnorrie.turnedonOfficial FB Community Page https://www.facebook.com/TurnedOnCommunity

David Norrie is a devoted husband, father, and entrepreneur and the founder of Turned On, a platform he created along with his wife Angelike to help preserve the lost art of face-to-face connection within the home, workspace, and faith community. Identifying himself as “a student of human interaction,” his mission is to open the eyes of those people who have put their lives on autopilot and to make them more aware of the disconnection that is rapidly happening in board rooms, bedrooms, living rooms, coffee shops, churches, and social media platforms. He desires to help people stop watering down their ability to interact with one another and express themselves more authentically by being “TURNED ON” to see with new eyes and listen with new ears to the possibilities happening all around them. Do you want to stop missing out on the success you're praying for? Today I have a guest on the Strong. Confident. His. Podcast. Her name is Angelike Norrie and she is a happily married, work from home mom of three beautiful girls. As a five time cover model, world renowned martial artist, and top corporate executive, she is no stranger to the spirit of ambition. The constant chase for more goals and accomplishments often left her feeling empty and with a restless spirit. It wasn't more titles, accolades or fame that motivated her. Angelike shares advice for those who are struggling to get fit or fear chasing their dreams. Here's a sample… Your success doesn't come from a photoshoot, color palette, logo, or a well crafted post, and it doesn't come from being a watered-down version of a mentor. Your next big moment or move is not going to come through someone else's handiwork, it will come from God and your radical obedience to carry out His assignment. Learn how to get what you've been praying for, press play. Scriptures and quotes to motivate you from this episode: If you think success is for others and God hasn't equipped you, let this serve as a reminder: "For we are God's masterpiece. (handiwork) He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago." (Ephesians 2:10) You're going to have to get comfortable being uncomfortable. “Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.” (Romans 5:3-5) If you feel guilt about success, don't think you deserve it, or sabotage it, remember this...the victory is His. In our faithfulness, He is producing something beautiful in us. “And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm, and steadfast.” (1 Peter 5:10) “But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 15:57) Remember You are Strong. Confident. His. Start today! On this Gratitude:UnFiltered, LIVE from the Element by Westin Hotel… Brought to you by LiveManaUtoya.com where all proceeds go to benefit the Live Mana Worldwide Foundation… “The Chronicles of David Norrie” David Norrie is a devoted husband, father and entrepreneur and the founder of Turned On, a platform he created along with his wife Angelike to help preserve the lost art of face to face connection within the home, workspace and faith community. He has more than 25 years of experience in all facets of communication; radio, video, newspaper, magazine, social media and sales training. His columns on health and relationships were published in one of the seven largest newspapers in the country and he is co-author of the best-selling book Faith Into Abundance: 30 Stories of Faith From Successful Christian Entrepreneurs. In 2015 he founded Socially Speaking, an occupational training program designed to help professionals articulate their passions and products with a greater degree charisma and marketability. Over the course of his training, David observed how many of his clients and much of society appeared to be moving farther away from one another emotionally rather than closer together despite advancements in communication technology. This sparked a desire to create a revival of the spirit by emphasizing principles of basic communication which could be easily incorporated into marital relationships, parenting and social gatherings. Identifying himself as “a student of human interaction” his mission is to open the eyes of those people whose lives have been put on autopilot and make them aware to the disconnection that is rapidly happening in board rooms, bedrooms, living rooms, coffee shops, churches and social media platforms. To help people stop watering down their ability to interact with one another and express themselves by being “TURNED ON” to see with new eyes and listen with new ears to the possibilities happening all around them. He hopes to restore the light to a world going dark.

David and Angelike rap about a subject that has the whole word talking right now.Talking about Yeezy, isn't easy.
Today's guest, five-time cover model and cutting-edge coach, Angelike Norrie, helps us understand that there are some muscles that we all could benefit from strengthening; the only problem is we can't see them and we can't feel them (at least not physically). Prior to taking a leap of faith to control her own destiny, she worked in corporate America as a sales executive, managing fortunes and people. After escaping 60-hour workweeks with extensive travel, she became an entrepreneur with a passion for nutrition, fitness, philosophy, and business coaching. These days, Angelike helps women flex both their physical and spiritual muscles through Soulutions, a multi-faceted coaching program that helps women bare their souls and regain dominion in all areas of their life. A world martial arts champion and believer in daily discipline, Angelike is the author of Life Lines, a four-part journal series for women that provides weekly inspiration, daily reflection and goal setting, all combined with tools for daily meal and exercise tracking. Using the power of technology, Angelike developed Body Soulutions, a free online monthly membership club for women who want to be mentored and coached with health information, fun recipes, laughter and goofiness, and strategies for building happy, balanced lives and financial stability. Angelike's philosophy and her coaching have been featured on NBC, ABC, CNN, FOX, and CBS. Angelike dives deep into her story to shine the light on the dark spot in our own stories, knowing all too well that when we turn the light on, we can air things out. Plus, Angelike describes the divine order in our lives, and why we need to commit to excellence + flex our spiritual muscles. For the past four years, he has worked as a business coach for one of the largest network marking companies in the world. While that he saw a need for more intensive training in helping people market themselves in a social media-driven marketplace. That led to the creation of Speak Up, an 8-week interactive virtual training course which takes groups of men and women from different fields and helps them develop their stories to become better listeners as well as more influential speakers. David has spoken to large audiences all over the country and is most passionate about God, marriage, family and capitalism. He spent more than 20 years in journalism, most of which came as a columnist, penning articles on how to have a healthier body and relationship. He draws on humor and his experience as a husband and father to get across his message that God is indeed laying out a path for each of us and it’s our responsibility to be stewards of His message and creat a better future for the next generation.
