Askarov now has shutouts in his first two games with the Barracuda, making 48 saves in 120 minutes of action. It was his 11th career shutout and he has now won seven in a row versus the Wild dating back to the 2022-23 season.

The shutout win was the first in a season opener in franchise history and Askarov's 10th of his AHL career. The Barracuda failed to beat the Reign last season in eight attempts.
