We're back with another AFTN Soccer Show packed full of Vancouver Whitecaps, Major League Soccer, Canadian Championship, Canadian Premier League, and Canadian national team chat. The football keeps coming and so do the podcasts! The Whitecaps' two games a week schedule saw them come away with nothing in Colorado, in a game in which they should have gotten something, and then with a point in Seattle, in a game in which they didn't really deserve anything. Football, eh! We pick over the bones of both of those matches, look at what they've taught us about the current state of the 'Caps, round up the latest action across MLS, and look ahead to the circus coming to town this weekend - aka Lionel Messi and his Miami maestros. Before that Miami game there's the small matter of the Canadian Championship and a quarter-final second leg clash with Cavalry FC. We chat about that, hear from Cavs' head coach Tommy Wheeldon Jr, and chat about Vancouver FC first away win of the season in the CPL. Plus there's a new sheriff in town as Canada Soccer appoint Jesse Marsch as the new Canadian men's national team coach. Was it the right appointment, what does it mean to the program, and how about that funding of the position by the three Canadian MLS clubs? We chat about all of that and more. This episode of the podcast is brought to you by Recovery Family Law, family law lawyers in Surrey, working with clients to get excellent results. They support AFTN, go and support them for all your family legal needs. Canada is done at the FIFA Women's World Cup, following a 4-0 loss to Australia in group play - now what? Donnovan attempts to answer that question (and a few more) with Sportsnet.ca's Julia Ranney - what was the best starting group for Canada, and did head coach Bev Priestman ever find it? What's next for Christine Sinclair? Who qualifies as Canada's best players going forward? Afterwards, former Canadian national team member and bronze medalist Kaylyn Kyle stops by - she discusses the lack of support from the Canadian soccer federation for the women's team and how they can best prepare for the Olympics in 2024, and also gets into her MLS coverage for Apple TV+, including the arrival of Lionel Messi in Miami and the state of Canadian MLS teams across the country. The views and opinions expressed in this podcast are those of the hosts and guests and do not necessarily reflect the position of Rogers Sports & Media or any affiliates.
We of course talk through that announcement plus run down the Canadian Championship final, the Leagues Cup, and the most recent results of the Canadian MLS clubs.
In this week's NextPod, James and Duane talk about the MLS Next tournament and look at the performance of the three Canadian MLS academies in the event. They talk about what the role of private academies is in the development structure and then end by going a bit off the brief of the podcast to breakdown Canada's loss in the Nations League Final. Don't worry though, they did get a Jahkeele Marshall Rutty conversation in there though!

It's been a few weeks since we've talked so we're taking a look back at the last few matches for the Canadian MLS clubs. We note that none of them are irredeemable but none of them have really put the full package together either. We also have a look around the league at those making noise and taking space up top in the standings.

Welcome back to another episode of OneNation, our Canadian soccer podcast show hosted by Andi Petrillo and Jordan Wilson, where this week, we recap Canadian club performances as the 2023 Major League Soccer season kicks off over the weekend. The big headline for Toronto FC? On first glance, maybe it'd be giving up a late (late!) goal to lose 3-2 to D.C. United... but the bigger concern is the status of Lorenzo Insigne, who looked distressed as he exited the match with an apparent injury at the half-hour mark. Will he be okay? This team needs him... Meanwhile, the Vancouver Whitecaps struck first against Real Salt Lake as Vanni Sartini's side enjoyed a strong first half... only to capitulate in the second and concede twice en route to a 2-1 loss. But Vancouver fans will leave this match feeling good about the team's overall look, with fitness and consistency sure to come as the season blooms. Finally, CF Montreal kicked off their 2023 season with a 2-0 loss to Inter Miami, as new head coach Hernan Losada returned to MLS action - and he wasn't the only new face at the club making his debut, as former CPL star Sean Rea got his first few minutes in Montreal bleu. This episode of OneNation was filmed ahead of a major news announcement by Canada Soccer. Check back on Feb. 28 for our reaction to Dr. Nick Bontis' resignation as president of the CSA on OneSoccer Today (7PM ET / 4PM PT). 0:00 - How to scrap in soccer 2:53 - MLS is BACK! 3:55 - Toronto FC reaction 12:59 - Whitecaps FC reaction 21:29 - CF Montreal reaction 28:55 - MLS on AppleTV+

Alchemist Nation Podcast With Gualter Amarelo The Real Estate Mentor
Alex has a pretty amazing story from being a tech-obsessed who started coding at 10 years, just loves building and writing code from where he built a really cool tech company in the Real Estate world, eventually selling that company to Lone Wolf and is now an owner in Agent Inner Circle which is a blog site 100% focused on improving Real Estate Agent's careers and helping them become the best agent in their market! As a real estate agent and investor, I enjoyed hearing about Alex's innovative touches he made on many of the United States and Canadian MLS systems! He also talks about he got into the real estate industry when he started a tech company almost 11 years ago when it was just on the cusp of mobile marketing when everything mobile and mobile technology was just coming out and apps were still fresh and no realtors' websites were fully optimized for mobile. He further narrates that it is a period where nobody's website was on a smartphone, everyone that the time wanted apps and this is where they came as a company that can supplement an app company or tech company because they did apps and other mobile marketing components where other tech companies hadn't really adopted yet. So they were appreciated for various works they did where they got contracts of management and maintaining websites, CRM tools, and other related web items which they did over a couple of years. He also says there is no lack of motivation with a Canadian Championship and CCL spot on the line.
Welcome back to the latest episode of the Third Sub podcast! In their 32nd episode, Alex and Sam are back, as usual, this time to talk Vancouver Whitecaps, MLS, Canadian Premier League and CanMNT, in what ended up being a jam-packed episode. First, they take a look at the 'Caps and the latest rumours surrounding DP midfielder In Beom Hwang, who is reported to be on the move to Russia soon. They explore In Beom's time in Vancouver, look at what this move means for both he and the 'Caps, before taking a look at the kind of player the 'Caps should target as his replacement. After that, the talk then shifts to MLS, as they take a look at the league's confusing restart plan, and how they've found themselves in the middle of right and wrong with their decisions so far. With the Canadian clubs currently in scheduling limbo, it's an interesting time to be a fan of a Canadian MLS team, as we've all learned. Next, they switch over to some Canadian Premier League talk, as they give their reviews on the league's away kit launch, and recent 'Island Games' schedule release. They also talk about the tournament proper, and what it can mean for teams, before teasing their plans for a full preview episode of the 'Island Games'. Lastly, they look at the Jonathan David transfer saga, which finally came to an end this week, as he officially signed with Lille OSC in Ligue 1. They look at what this move can mean for his career, and how it's big for other CanMNT prospects playing both in North America and abroad, as Canadians continue to make waves in Europe. Stay tuned for episode 33 later this week as well, as Alex and Sam will dive into a preview of the CPL's 'Island Games', which get going later this week in Charlottetown P.E.I..
