In episode 76 of the We Hack Purple Podcast host Tanya Janca brings Anshu Bansal, the CEO of CloudDefense.ai, back onto the show for a second time to discuss “solving problems in application security”. Tanya and Anshu have worked together quite a while, as Tanya has been an advisor at Cloud Defense since it was a drawing on the back of a napkin! We choose this topic because Anshu recently spoke at the OWASP Bay Area meetup chapter, and he told Tanya his talk was about "solving the AppSec problems”. Obviously, she had to hear more about this. They dove into Anshu's definition of false positives (the traditional meaning, plus legit vulnerabilities that aren't reachable or otherwise do not cause business risk), as well as how to prioritize issues in way that makes more sense for the business. He simplified a lot of ideas that sometimes technical folks struggle with, such as how to get your message across to the business so that they agree to fix what matters most.More Anshu!Anshu generously offered to connect with any of our listeners on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/anshubansal/He's part of the Cloud Defense blog https://www.clouddefense.ai/blogThey also have a Newsletter https://www.clouddefense.ai/contactVery special thanks to our sponsor: Semgrep!Semgrep Supply Chain's reachability analysis lets you ignore the 98% of false positives in open source vulnerabilities and quickly find and fix the 2% of issues that are actually reachable. With me on the air today I have Michael Lange - a Technical Director, vMix Op, and Broadcast Solution Architect, the owner of Lange Productions, based in Madison, Wisconsin, helping production companies solve live stream challenges by utilizing cloud solutions, with an expertise in live Sports/Entertainment broadcasts. Michael has been in the broadcast industry for over 13 years, working on commercial production, news production, live sports, and corporate events. He's also currently providing cloud streaming facilities with AWS, which replaces a traditional remote broadcast truck. As with many of the event production experts and event specialists you've met on previous episodes, I have met Michael on LinkedIn, and have been fan-ing his super helpful and relevant posts to the event productions and broadcasting industry. And while I don't call myself a broadcaster by any stretch of the imagination, I feel like after hundreds of well-executed virtual events, traditional broadcasting basics have been incredibly helpful and necessary to make these events successful. Today we're going to: demystify the world of Live Sports Broadcasts, how have Covid and the Cloud changed broadcasting events, what does a Technical Director do in a Sports Broadcast, and how does one stay fit and healthy while on the road? --------------- Connect with Mike on these channels: @tvguy2 on YouTube @mlange221 on Twitter Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/langetv/ --------------- Explore AWS Skill Builder courses here: https://explore.skillbuilder.aws/learn --------------- “Events: demystified” Podcast is brought to you by Tree-Fan Events and your Podcast Host is Anca Trifan, CMP, DES.

Was meinst du damit? Patrick and I talk about all the Swift at IBM projects. Unfortunately, we don't get to learn about his personal story because there was so much Swift@IBM stuff to talk about. But, if you're interested in server-side Swift and considering using Kitura, then you should definitely listen to this episode. We break down all the projects, what they are, why and how to use them, and how they all fit together. If you want to get started with standing up your own web service using Kitura, or even just learning about it, Patrick recommends getting started by downloading the Cloud Tools for Swift app for macOS (see link below), then sign up for a BlueMix account through that app, and then checkout one of the sample projects like BluePic (link below).
