An album pin is a lapel pin with artwork inspired by a specific album or song from an album. It could be the actual album artwork or it could be inspired by a specific track on the album. The best album pins stand out on their own. They appeal to more than just your fans. It is simple, bold, and visually engaging. However, what truly makes it an “album pin” is that the purchaser also gets a digital album with their pin. I have an entire blog on my website with details including templates for you to make your own album pin jacket.

Davida emailed about Patreon: "Hi Marc, I have been a listener of your show for several years and really love it! You do such a fantastic job of bringing us varied and beautiful music, I can't thank you enough. I listen to it while I'm knitting old and new Scottish patterns. I don't think that I have any Irish or Celtic ancestry, but I've felt the music since I was a little girl. I have been supporting you on Patreon, but I just received a notice that they are changing the monthly donation to only one dollar. I remember hearing you say that donations could be made a different way and it would be more beneficial for you, so can you let me know how that would be? It doesn't make sense to me to give you less money! Thank you so much and again please know that you do a fantastic job." Sean Malloy of Band o'Brothers emailed photos from the studio: "Merry Christmas Marc!  And thanks so much for including "Christmas Time Again" in Episode #690, "Light a Candle in the Window." We're honored to have our music played alongside all the wonderful musicians on your podcast. When I saw the title of this week's podcast I thought perhaps you had included our song "On Christmas Day," which begins with the line "We light a candle in the window for weary travelers to find their way."  But I was pleasantly surprised to hear that you also have a tune featuring the Irish Christmas image of a candle in the window.  I find it to be such a lovely symbol of hope, hospitality, and mindfulness of people who are not with us but hold important places in our hearts. We've been spending some time at Bonehead Studio in our hometown of Cheshire, CT lately (pictures attached) and we hope to have our new album ready by February  -  so new music in time for St. Patrick's Day.  You'll be among the first to know when we release it. Thanks again and Merry Christmas," David Tustin had a song request: "Marc, You asked an interesting question. Don was a God loving person, loved his family and encouraged cat and dog rescues. He also enjoyed Scotch Whisky! The best song could be one of your cat drinking songs or maybe you know of something better for your podcast. Taing mhòr!

I just got back from another trip into the wilds of Northern British Columbia. It snowed last week while I was driving up but cleared up in a couple of days leaving everything very wet and sloppy. There must have been over 100 pounds of mud on my vehicle. The bears are out and I have seen a couple of black bears along the roads. The bush is very dry this year and one place where I normally see trumpeter swans and other aquatic birds is completely dry. I will include a couple of photographs from this time last year. There is great concern about the potential wildfire situation this summer. I truly enjoy listening to the podcasts while I drive. Unfortunately, I have been unable to download the last couple of them. Has there been a change in the way they are posted? Please give my warmest regards to your family. I regret that I was unable to journey to the states this spring as there have been a number of changes on behalf of some of my clients.” Carl C emailed: “I'm disappointed you needed to do this after all these years. It detracts from the quality of the podcast.” Thank you Carl for writing. I really appreciate the feedback. As I emailed when you wrote, I am still testing the ads. I have decided I don't prefer them at the beginning of the show. So at present, at least, I'm not doing that. As I continue to test, I will only have them at the end of the show. Right now, I am leaning on the idea of keeping those on the show. Because even a little bit of money helps with finances. But I will make a final decision in July or August when I should have some better understanding of the results of my tests. Timothy Potts of Clay Babies emailed a photo: “Hi Marc, You played one of our songs last year on your show. We just released a NEW ALBUM of CELTIC FIDDLE TUNES!!! We are very excited! We recorded the whole thing live on New Year's Eve as if we were playing at a session. Here is a link to the Bandcamp page: If you play any of the sets, I'd recommend track one or track three. On November 1st my wife gave me a Celtic Podcast shirt, pint glass and some recordings for my birthday. I've been enjoying them (see attached pic)!”

Brandi Carpenter emailed from Spokane, WA: “Hi Marc, I've been listening to your podcast for many years now and love it so much!! My family has switched to Spotify and I'm wondering why I can't find your Irish and Celtic Music Podcast on it...will it make it on there eventually? I don't have an Apple phone so I'm sad that my current podcast hookup (Google) is closing down. Thank you for all your hard work!” Ben Q emailed: “Hi Marc, Big fan & patron with an Android problem  -  Google Podcasts has gone away, annoyingly (just a few short years after they killed Google Listen and forced everyone to migrate there). I see that the "Listen on Google Podcasts" button on celticmusicpodcast.com now redirects to podcastaddict.com, so I guess that this sunsetting of that podcast app is probably not news to you. However, I've tentatively replaced Google Podcasts as my podcast app, not with podcastaddict, but with what Google / Android suggested as a replacement, YouTube Music. I imported all of my podcasts, and they are all working the same way as before the change, except for The Irish & Celtic Music Podcast. Searching YouTube Music for "irish & celtic music podcast" on YouTube Music brings up these search results, of which one looks like the right one, this result. However, that podcast doesn't seem to have the correct shows  -  the most recent one is from 2023; I'm not able to listen to Red - Haired Bully Boys #657 or Plant Your Boots For Freedom #656 at that link. I'm sure you're busy, but just wondering if you had any insight into this. It's worth mentioning that, if I understand correctly, this app doesn't require people's podcasts to be hosted on YouTube  -  I'm listening to the Savage Lovecast, for example, just as I usually do, and I don't think Dan has moved his show archive over to YouTube; I'm just using YouTube Music to listen to his regular, free podcast XML feed like usual. Anyway, thanks for taking the time and for all the work that you're doing.” Daniel Morrison emailed: “Hi Marc, I am finally making my first trip to Ireland. My Grandparents of both sides are Ireland. Castle Bar Mayo, Tuam Galway for Dad's my Grandparents. Kenmare Kerry for Ma's my Grandparents Going on Package deal for 7 days. Your Podcast has inspired Me so much to make the trip.” Christine Manbeck emailed a photo responding to my St Patrick's Day question: “Guinness Chocolate cake; parade; Screaming Orphans concert”

I've got two gigs on St. Patrick's Day, so I'll be out in the pubs (2 - 5 pm and 8 - 10 pm) in Sydney, NS, and joining a fellow artist (who you've featured recently), Mary Beth Carty, at her session in the morning. That's also how I'm celebrating the culture through music this St. Patrick's Day!  Our focus is more Scottish music, but we'll be throwing as much Irish into the mix as we possibly can...and staying away from green beer and pots of gold and leprechauns... Best of luck on the show(s)! Thanks" Roger replied: "Greetings Marc from Kendal UK  its snowing. been making a Shepherds Pie for tea while listening to the last episode with the odd stop to practise my bodhran against a song... i need lots of practice... keep up your good work. your podcast is essential listening especially if you have a ceiling to wall paper. best regards"

You can find a link to all of the artists in the shownotes, along with show times and chapters for each song when you visit our website at celticmusicpodcast.com. If you hear music you love, please email artists to let them know you heard them on the Irish and Celtic Music Podcast. I was putting together this week's show when I realized the show was very instrumental heavy. Until very recently, the Celtic supergroup, Lúnasa, played entirely instrumental music. So I figured why not just make this episode another fully instrumental episode of great Celtic music. Lúnasa is also performing at IrishFest Atlanta next weekend. The Irish & Celtic Music Podcast is a proud sponsor of this year's festival. Tickets are now on sale for the festival. You can see a list of performance times and workshops on the festival website at IrishFestAtlanta.org. Request for more Audio Intros. What's up to my parsimonious possums and marvelous microscopic macrophage! Welcome to the BNP and thank you for joining. This episode we're diving into the metaphysical realm and unpacking the concept of the Egregore, a semi-autonomous collective thought-form, built and sustained by the attention of human beings. The more attention is freely given, the more potent and powerful the egregore becomes. Egregores may be creations of a small group, or even a single driven and devoted acolyte.  The danger with egregores is they live off our energy, and thus we can siphon off our own individual creative energy in the service of an egregore. So we have to be very conscious of where we are putting our attention. If you must compose an egregore, make sure it's guided by positive intent, and for the benefit of all beings. Make sure you hold on to your own individual creative light- it's unique and important!  Any egregore, no matter how seemingly big and mighty, can be neutralized and deconstructed. All we have to do is stop giving it our attention. Keep this in mind with brands, websites and social media platforms: they are consciously and strategically building egregores through their marketing and public relations divisions. Don't let these nefarious egregores harvest your energy and play you!  Won't you please support the show? Sign up for as little as $1/month at www.patreon.com/noetics and help keep me on the air. You have been, for a while now, asking what we are doing while we listen. I don't have a photo for you, but I am usually grading physics homework. Although they are unaware of it, I am quite sure the students appreciate that my mood is jaunty while I grade their work. Speaking of students, which is my actual reason for writing, during the pandemic, I have been recording and posting my lectures so that students who are in quarantine, are caring for others who are sick, or are simply cautious about bringing the virus home to others can keep up with my class. Inspired by my gratitude to you for diligently maintaining the practice of including timestamps in all of your show notes (I can't tell you how helpful that has been), I started time-stamping my 50-minute lectures. Many students have expressed to me their gratitude for my effort in that regard and I wanted to share that gratitude with you. Your patience and attention to detail has benefits not just for those of us who listen and buy music we hear, but also has secondary benefits to those your listeners also interact with. You are positively impacting in many ways. Speaking of that, I am also grateful whenever you stand up for the women of Irish music, the LGBT community, and your broader support of a variety of people and cultures. Thank you! Happy holidays. I hope you and your family are safe and healthy.”

I've been with you since around 300 and I think you are doing a great job of introducing me to wonderful bands and songs. More rollicking jigs and reels. I work with words while I listen. So I love the instrumentals the most. Once upon a time you did an ALL INSTRUMENTAL show... Loved it. Have you ever found David Clausen from a band called Celtic Stone. He is in Austin TX but does not respond to email." Donna DeMilo emailed a photo: "Congratulations on your 500th Mark !!  I LOVE CLOVER'S REVENGE!! Slainte!!" Sean Malloy emailed: "Hi Marc, Thank you so much for buying our Band O’Brothers album from Bandcamp! I’m so pleased to imagine you listening to some of our songs after we’ve spent so many glad hours listening to yours!! I’m working on putting the promised song stories together for you - I’ll send something your way within a couple days. Thanks again, and sláinte!!!! Lee Harrington joins us for a discussion about sacred kink on episode 108 of American Sex Podcast. If sacred sexuality, ritual, and sex magic aren’t your cup of tea, hold up. Lee explains how the altered states of consciousness and profound emotional shifts experienced during adult play are universal. He teaches us to translate language about these experiences to fit our own personal belief systems. We discuss viewing the sacred through the lens of technology, how to pervert spirituality & identify when that’s appropriate, the practical reality of sex magic we all can benefit from, reconciling your religious beliefs with your kinky desires, feminism and BDSM, combating the “one twue way” thinking in both kink and organized religion, and so much more. Lee makes spiritual concepts mind-blowingly accessible even to those that regard themselves as more science-minded.
