PORTA INTE MINA PORT PIPES! Vad är ett nyeksfat andra gången det används? Bra fråga! Men har vi ett bra svar? Vi kör vidare med lagring och koll på tunnor av olika storlekar. We had a great private weekend class, with good and generous friends. We came home with a large bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label, and some 12 year Redbreast. We talk about long range shooting, wind calling, knifes and knife sharpening... and more. :)

This week on Whiskey@Work, it's part two of our Tequila@Work series, and Rob and Mark dive into the world of Blanco tequila with a surprise guest—Teramana, courtesy of Dwayne The Rock Johnson. They break down Highland vs. Lowland agave, explore the magic of copper pot stills, and discover that maybe tequila has been getting a bad rap all along. There's also big whiskey news: Buffalo Trace is underwater, Maker's Mark is trying something totally new, and Wild Turkey brings an 8-year legend back to the U.S. Plus, someone drank Mark's prized bottle of Redbreast from Ireland… and we're not letting it slide. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Martelle, Mike, and Randy kick off the episode with a pour of Jameson Black Barrel before diving into a rich and complex Redbreast 15. As the whiskey flows, the conversation shifts to horror movies—breaking down some favorites, hidden gems, and the ones that still haunt them. Recorded on 03/16/25, this episode is all about good whiskey, creepy stories, and the perfect pairing of sips and scares. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Get $25 off your order of $100 or more at Two Bitch Bourbon! Az outlaw country emlematikus alakjait bemutató sorozatunk második részében ezúttal ismét egy összetéveszthetelen kulcsfigurával foglalkozunk. 2024-ben lett 91 éves Willie Nelson, aki továbbra is aktív, fellép, legutóbbi lemeze ősszel jelent meg Last Leaf On The Tree címmel, melyet fia producerelt. A meglehetősen kalandos életű zenész életéről Redbreast Wilson mesél. Műsorvezető: Bihari Balázs A Wanted podcast adása az NKA Hangfoglaló program támogatásával készült.

Itthon leginkább filmszínészként ismertük - Konvoj, Csillag születik, Penge-filmek stb. - vagy éppen Janis Joplin legnépszerűbb dalának az íróját, pedig a country műfaj legfontontosabb dalszerző-előadója-megújítója is egyben a nemrég 88 éves korában, maui otthonában elhunyt Kris Kristofferson. Rengeteg sztorival megsépekelt adásunkban egyik nagy tisztelőjével, az outlaw country hazai nagykövetével, Sam Redbreast Wilsonnal tekintettük át Kristofferson szerteágazó munkásságát, Texastól Hollywoodig, katonaságtól oxfordi egyetemig, onnan egy nashville-i stúdió takarító állásáig, a nagy kitörésig, alkoholizmusig, háború-támogatástól a pacifizmusig, miközben felbukkan Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Chet Atkins vagy éppen Barbra Streisand. Tasting Notes: As we approach St. Patrick's Day I can't think of a better premium Irish Whiskey to take another look at today. Made with a portion of unmalted barley, as well as a portion of sherry cask aged whiskey, Redbreast is the superlative Irish whiskey. It somehow manages to pack MASSIVE flavor, but retain a lightness and drinkability that almost no other whiskey can claim. Sweet grass and hay aromas along with light oak, citrus and tropical fruit dominate the nose. One the palate, the combination of rich malt, light citrus, and gobs of delicious fruit with a sherry-inflected finish is all the celebration you need this St. Patirck's Day. Midleton Distillery on the southern coast does it right and has been for a long time.
Ben and Kyle have a very different type of Proof Positive this week with an aged single pot still Irish whiskey Redbreast 12. Redbreast 12 Year Old boasts the complexity and distinctive qualities of pot still whiskey. Matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks, with the distinctive Redbreast sherry style. Please subscribe and review on all your major social media and streaming platforms! Cheers!
We go back to our roots with this overlooked gem of classic British folk horror, Robin Redbreast. Contains some progressive perspectives current society seems to have retreated from and enduring the life lesson that you should never sleep with boring men, however pretty they are.

Eric had the pleasure of chatting with the incredibly talented Madison Smith about his acting journey, his love for hockey, and the sunny Vancouver weather. We bonded over our shared Canadian roots, and he even whipped up a signature cocktail for him called the Psycho Killer. Madison also revealed his favorite football team, The Seattle Seahawks, while Eric professed his devotion to the Detroit Red Wings. We delved into the world of costumes and wardrobe as Madison shared insights into his character Robbie's look in the movie Nicky & Nora and his work on the Hallmark series. From tactical vibes to casual styles, we explored how costume designers helped shape the characters Madison portrayed. We also touched on fan reactions to his acting, upcoming projects, and of course, the much anticipated Hallmark Mystery prequel, Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: A New Begining! But our conversation wasn't just about acting and costumes - we also talked about our favorite ice cream flavors, the importance of Hawaiian pizza, and Hollywood crushes. We shared stories about golfers Taylor Cole and Brooke Burns, reminisced about the Backstreet Boys, and even discussed the perfect walk-up song for Madison's character, Robbie. Don't miss this entertaining and insightful conversation with Madison Smith that covers everything from acting, costumes, and fan reactions to food, sports, and beyond!Signature Cocktail: Psycho KillerComes from the famous mixologist Jillian Vose of New York City's famed Irish bar, The Dead Rabbit. This is probably not a cocktail most people will be able to make with the booze they have on hand, but it is a delicious complex cocktail that is worth a trip to the liquor store. Ingredients:2 ounces Irish whiskey (The Dead Rabbitt uses Redbreast 12-year-old)3/4 ounce cocoa nib-infused Campari*1/2 ounce Marie Brizard white creme de cacao1/2 ounce Banana Liqueur Giffard Banane du Brésil2 dashes absintheDirections:Add the Irish whiskey, cocoa nib–infused Campari, white creme de cacao, banana liqueur and absinthe into a mixing glass with ice. The battle of two great Single Pot Still Irish Whiskeys: Redbreast 12yr and Green Spot. In this episode, my guest Noob, Bryce, and I walked through a a blind tasting of these whiskeys to see which we liked more. As is often the case with blind tastings, we learned a lot about complexity, flavor profiles, and our own personal preferences. Need MORE Whiskey Noobs in your life? Tasting NotesSingle pot still Irish Whiskey, a style unique and legally bound to Ireland uses at least 30% unmalted barley in its grain bill and is typically triple distilled to achieve a uniquely pleasant grassiness combined with citrus. Add to that ageing in sherry casks and you get Redbreast 12, one of the most elegant and drinkable premium whiskies in the world. Spice, citrus, and fruit dominate the nose. On the palate, red fruit and citrus, then candied lemons, orange creamsicle, light earth and a perfectly spiced finish.
Renfri has arrived! We celebrate what's one of The Hexer's strongest episodes to date (but keep in mind that's a VERY relative term), by unbottling one of Tim's favorite whiskeys, Redbreast 12 Year Old Single Pot Still, which we drink straight up—you know, in much the same way that our girl is now a straight up villain. We also question the practicalities of impalement, wonder whether the episode's message of “lesser evils” still makes sense when one of the parties is violently killing refugees, and take time to appreciate that Geralt actually asks Jaskier to play for him. Geralt? Being a friend to Jaskier? Yes, and for once, it's not the whiskey talking!
