For years, I thought nutrition had to be all or nothing… you either perfectly tracked your food, followed a strict diet, or you were "failing." I spent so much time overthinking every meal, trying to find the “perfect” way to eat, only to end up feeling stressed, guilty, and frustrated.I thought true health meant rigid rules, obsessive tracking, and pushing myself to stick to the latest diet trend. But the truth? Nutrition should be about fueling your body, building strength, and creating habits that support your life, not controlling every bite.In today's episode, I'm answering your top nutrition questions: from intermittent fasting, to how to actually hit your protein goals, to healing your relationship with food in a way that feels empowering, not exhausting. If you've ever struggled with overcomplicating nutrition, feeling lost with protein targets, or rebuilding trust with your body, this episode is for you!I Also Discuss:(00:00) Nutrition Myths You Still Believe (and What Actually Works)(07:41) How Much Protein You REALLY Need (Without Going Crazy)(16:17) Healing Your Relationship With Food (Without Strict Diets)(18:07) Navigating Sobriety When Your Partner Still Drinks(24:47) Why Broads Is Different: Strength Over ScalThank You to Our Sponsors:Broads App – Get structured, progressive training and a powerhouse community to keep you strong, consistent, and unstoppable. She created “The Mom 100 Cookbook” - 100 recipes every mom needs in her back pocket - as “an answer to the everyday cooking challenges, conundrums that parents face, day-in day-out when they're cooking for their families,” Workman says.   Workman talks about her origin story and food philanthropy work, as well as her love of comfort food and finding your food soul mates. “I love food that the first time that you eat it, you think, ‘Oh, where has this been all my life?'” she says.  Workman also shares her recipe for ground turkey tacos; her family's favorite. https://writersthatinspire.com/4-meal-recipes-made-with-ground-turkey/ 4 Meal Recipes Made With Ground Turkey Ground turkey – Most people either love it or hate it! Because it's a lean protein, it tends to dry out super easy so it's important to cook with it using recipes that use the right spices and employ the right cooking techniques. Keeping your ground turkey moist is key. I've rounded up some delicious recipes using ground turkey that is bound to be enjoyed. PrintCrockpot Turkey Black Bean ChiliIngredients 1 pound of ground turkey 28 oz can of tomato sauce 2 cans of black beans 15oz each, drained and rinsed 1 can of petite diced tomatoes 14.5oz, undrained 1 2/3 cup frozen corn half a 1lb bag 2 cloves of garlic minced 1 tablespoon paprika 1 tablespoon chili powder 2 teaspoons ground cumin 1 1/2 teaspoons ground oregano 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes InstructionsTo Freeze and Cook Later Label your freezer bag with the name of the recipe, cooking instructions, and use by date (3 months from the prep day). Add all ingredients to the freezer bag. Remove as much air as possible, seal, and freeze for up to three months. To Cook Thaw overnight in the refrigerator or in the morning in water. Add to crockpot. Cook on low setting for 6-8 hours. Break apart turkey and stir. Serve with shredded cheddar cheese and tortilla chips PrintMozzarella-Stuffed Turkey Pesto MeatballsIngredients 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes undrained 1 pound ground turkey 1 large egg 1/2 cup basil pesto store-bought or homemade 1/2 cup Italian breadcrumbs 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese 4-5 mozzarella string cheese sticks cut into 4 pieces each 4 oz mozzarella cheese shredded (about one cup) InstructionsTo Freeze and Cook Later Pour diced tomatoes into baking pan. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, egg, pesto, breadcrumbs, and parmesan cheese. Form into 18 meatballs. Press one piece of mozzarella cheese inside each meatball and place in baking pan. Cover with shredded mozzarella cheese. Cover pan with layers of plastic wrap and foil, and freeze for up to three months. To Cook Pre-heat oven to 350°F. Bake uncovered for 90 minutes or until meatballs are cooked through. (You can shorten the cooking time by thawing overnight in the refrigerator.) Serve with spaghetti and a salad.

Cover the bottom of the pot in a layer of olive oil. Place chicken in and brown on all sides. Remove chicken, dice, and set aside. Eating healthy on a budget is absolutely possible. In fact, what I want to demonstrate in today's episode is that you can actually save a lot of money by eating clean, eating for fat loss and focusing on whole foods. Can it be more expensive to eat healthy? Yes.  Can it be more expensive to not eat healthy? Yes. You can do it either way. The choice is yours. But eating healthy on a budget is 100% possible. Eating Healthy On A Budget I've talked before about details like how to save money on proteins and when it's important to buy organic and what items you can save money on by going conventional. You can check out that episode here. In today's episode, however, we're talking about the specifics about how you can eat very inexpensively while focusing on fat loss friendly & whole foods. I have 6 specific recipes you can make for less than 1.99! But before that, let's establish some basics. Complex recipes are going to cost far more than simple meals Eating for fat loss does not have to include exotic recipes, a million spices or special cooking oils Identify your favorite fat loss foods & keep it simple It kinda goes without saying that you're going to spend far more if you shop at luxury grocers like Whole Foods. While that is lovely, it is not necessary You don't have to opt for the most expensive fruits and veggies. Berries cost more than apples, most of the time. Brussels sprouts cost more than cabbage. Choose wisely and emphasize inexpensive staples. Bacon & Egg Sweet Potato Cups: $1.04 per person Salmon Cakes & Mashed Cauliflower: $1.87 per person Bacon, Egg & Veggie Breakfast Bowl: $1.93 per person Spaghetti Squash with Ground Turkey: $1.77 per person Quarter Pound Turkey Burger with Bacon & Avocado: $1.31 per person BONUS (This one is just over $2.00)Baked Marinara Chicken Thighs with Brussels Sprouts: $2.12 per person http://primalpotential.com/eating-healthy-on-a-budget/
