Kinder? Heiraten? Nein, danke! In this episode, Niall tackles a divisive topic: Does the number of past sexual partners—often called “body count”—really matter when it comes to choosing a long-term partner? The conversation stems from a listener's email detailing tension with his girlfriend after learning about her sexual history. He admits feeling shocked and “appalled,” and wonders if he's too old-fashioned or justified in his reaction. Some callers argue that a high body count signals potential issues with commitment or stability, suggesting that everyone has the right to set their own standards in a relationship. For them, knowing a partner's sexual past is relevant to their comfort and sense of security going forward.Others reject the idea that body count should matter at all, insisting that past experiences shouldn't define a person's worth. They emphasize that what matters most is honesty, respect, and who a person is today, not how many partners they had in the past. Judging someone based solely on their sexual history, they say, is outdated and unfair.Niall concludes by examining the complexity of personal preference, societal expectations, and the double standards that often influence how we judge others' pasts.
Meet Ryan Mouque, Golf Coach and Caddy helping develop players to play to their potential. Ryan produces a mass amount of online content that is generated through the lens of educating and empowering his clients and followers. He possesses a unique depth of knowledge and experience about not only the swing, but how to play outstanding golf. In today's episode, you'll: Learn how adopting a growth mindset can redefine mistakes as opportunities, helping golfers improve and stay motivated. Discover the three essential types of practice - block, random, and competitive - and why each is crucial for building a well-rounded game. Understand the importance of refining your swing path, clubface control, and setup for better drives and fewer penalty shots. Learn the benefits of focusing on off-the-ball drills and slow-motion swings to develop muscle memory and ingrain better movement patterns. Explore why most amateur golfers don't practice enough to justify getting frustrated, and how shifting perspective can actually improve performance. Discover Ryan's “Goldilocks training” method, using extreme opposite movements to enhance awareness of the ideal swing pattern. Get your pencils ready and start listening. More About Ryan Ryan works with players to develop a plan that matches their time availability and learning style, and help them to achieve their goals. Work with Ryan. Key Takeaways: A growth mindset sees failure as a learning opportunity. Asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Many golfers struggle with misconceptions about their swing. Intentional practice is crucial for improvement. Transitioning from high scores to low scores requires focus on technique. Common struggles off the tee often stem from poor technique. Improving ball striking is key to lowering scores. It's important to structure practice sessions effectively. Learning through exaggeration helps in skill acquisition. Online coaching allows for more frequent feedback. Off-the-ball training prepares the brain for movement. Muscle memory is a myth; the brain must learn movements. Key Quotes: “Well, I think, you know, insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.” “As a coach myself, I see the value in coaching and I've worked with enough golfers to know that those who don't get coaching are just super confused and it doesn't take much to actually get them on the right track.” “You don't practice enough to get that upset about playing poorly.” Subscribe to the More Pars Than Bogeys Newsletter.

Scoring is up, but how much higher can it go? Adam Murray and Andrew Riche, Place To Be Nation's NBA-Team, will discuss if we are on the verge of an 80 (or even 90?!) point game soon. The team also discusses trades involving Pascal Siakam and Terry Rozier, the Bucks hiring Doc Rivers after a quick ouster for Adrian Griffin, wild finishes, and more! So suit up and take it out in episode 296 with the NBA-Team!
Billy Mitchell's disputed high scores for Donkey Kong and Pac-Man have been reinstated by Twin Galaxies as part of a legal settlement. Apparently, they're attributing the gameplay anomalies to aging board components... or something? The scores will be reinstated in the archives, however, and NOT on the current leaderboard under the current owner. Justice or not? What's your opinion on the Billy Mitchell situation? ➡️ Tip Jar and Fan Support: http://ClownfishSupport.com ➡️ Official Merch Store: http://ShopClownfish.com ➡️ Official Website: http://ClownfishGaming.net Additional Context: Billy Mitchell, a well-known figure in the world of competitive arcade gaming, has had his high scores for games like "Donkey Kong" and "Pac-Man" reinstated by Twin Galaxies after a protracted legal and public dispute. This reinstatement comes as a result of a confidential settlement between Mitchell and Twin Galaxies, which was reached before the case was set to go to court. The dispute began in 2018 when a Twin Galaxies community member accused Mitchell of achieving his scores on a modified arcade board, which would be a violation of the organization's rules. Twin Galaxies conducted its own investigation and initially concluded that the images shown in the videos of Mitchell's games could not have been produced by an unmodified arcade board. This led to Mitchell's scores being removed from the Twin Galaxies website, and he was banned from competing on their competitive leaderboards. Mitchell's legal battle to clear his name involved the enlistment of Dr. Michael Zyda, an Emeritus Professor of engineering practice and the founding director for the Games Program at the University of Southern California. In November, Zyda provided an expert opinion stating that the video tapes could depict gameplay on original Donkey Kong hardware despite the anomalies depicted. This, along with other evidence presented by Mitchell, led to Twin Galaxies reinstating his scores. Twin Galaxies has now added Mitchell's scores to its "official historical database," which is a newly added section of the website that displays leaderboards as they appeared in 2014, before the site was acquired by its current owners. This database remains static and sealed, with no new submissions or alterations allowed, only retaining original scores and titles as they existed in 2014. Mitchell's scores are visible in this historical database, but they do not appear on the live version of Twin Galaxies' Donkey Kong records. Mitchell expressed satisfaction with the resolution and looks forward to the next chapter of his gaming career, stating that he has a few announcements coming later in the year. This development marks a significant moment in the competitive gaming world, where the integrity of records and the processes for verifying them are of utmost importance. I want to share a really cool story on how in the last 5 classes, 3 were won by the newest or the student with the least experience. We have a top gun hat awarded in each class. This goes to the highest scoring shooter. I wanted to reflect on my thoughts on how this is possible, as it has been something I have been thinking heavily about over the last couple weeks. From the trenches. Now and then I want to add a segment for small business owners or for those running them on some tips, tricks and simply a tilt of the hat out of respect and wonder on how any exist at all. It's not easy, so we want to share some encouragement and some food for thoughts from time to time. In this episode, we want to keep encouraging you to stand back up and get back into the fight. We announced that in 2024 we will only be offering 13 classes with 5 students in each. So 65 seats will be available and are looking forward to having you all here in 2024. For those that can't attend our in person class, our online courses in moving forward with over 16 hours of content and growing.
