Rafi Anteby is my guest today. Rafi is known as the “conscious traveler” and that has never been more so than right now. He set up the REloading Life Gala to benefit Australia’s wildlife. The gala will be hosted by Jamie Foxx and Renee Bargh on March 16 in Los Angeles at the Vibrato Grill. The proceeds from the event are to benefit an emergency triage for wounded animals on Kangaroo Island. This triage center will become a protected wildlife sanctuary that will help heal the animals of Australia. In addition to Rafi’s help with the Australia wildfire damage, he is also known for his jewelry design companies, Bullets 4 Peace and The Domino Effect. He is proof positive that if you put out good vibes you will receive good vibes back. We talk about his travels and how he combats jet lag and the importance of giving back to the communities we visit while on our own work/business trips.Rafi has a passion for animals and nature and focuses much of his philanthropic efforts on animal rescue and nature preservation. Through his worldwide travels, he has visited some of the most beautiful unknown places and met incredibly special people. However, traveling to these underserved communities also opened his eyes to the overwhelming needs of the people, animals and our sacred habitats around the world. His goal in founding Reloading Life is to bring awareness and to help those in need by uniting passionate people with a common cause of making the world a better place for all. In Hollywood, he is known for his charitable jewelry lines Bullets4Peace and Domino Effect as well as his award show official gift lounges where he curates luxury lifestyle goods and exotic travel experiences for the entertainment industry’s elite. He uses his influence in Hollywood to rally entertainment’s most influential people to raise awareness and funds for various important causes around the world.Intro song "Road Trip" by Robin Tricker

Steve Stevens is my guest today. Steve shared stories and advice from the road. His guitar playing background started at the age of 7 and five decades later he is still rocking out on a regular basis with Billy Idol. Spending nearly 40 years, off and on, with Billy Idol has given him some rare insight to the music industry. Steve worked on albums with Michael Jackson, Ric Ocasek, Vince Neil, soundtracks for the movies “Top Gun” and “Speed”, and more recently supergroup Deathland Ritual. He won his Grammy for the “Top Gun Anthem” and we talked about the possibility of the song making a comeback for this summer blockbuster follow up “Top Gun: Maverick”. He sees a need for the continuation of rock music and live performances but he also spoke about the growth of electronic music and the recent boom of Billie Eilish.I was completely blown away getting to spend so much time talking with Steve and thankful for his wife, Josie, for setting up our time to chat. They work well together and we spoke about the positives of having your spouse with you while traveling for work.Steve will be playing with Billy at their new residency at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas over the month of March. Make sure to follow him on social media to see where and with whom he will be playing with for the rest of the year.Intro Song "Road Trip" by Robin Tricker
Danielle Lewis is my guest today. Danielle is an airline pilot for a major commercial airline. After years serving in the Air Force as a C130 pilot, Danielle was part of the 6% of female aviators in the US military. She was the first female hired to fly a civilian version of the C130 in Africa into the Congo. She has some great stories of zebras and life in Africa. We chat about her struggles being recognized as a pilot and the fact that women only make up 3%-4% of commercial pilots. Amazingly to me she still has to convince some male passengers that they will be okay with a female flying their plane.I asked her what was the biggest change was for her going from military flights to commercial flights. Her response:“It’s boring and I love it. Boring is relative, right. No one is shooting at you. At all of the other jobs, even in Africa people were shooting at you.” Danielle talks about her favorite places to fly to and visit. She also shares some great tips for flying into and out of various US airports. I am so thankful for her going out of her comfort zone and being gracious to share her time and stories. She is an inspiration to the girls she mentors and hopefully she gets the chance to reach more girls. They can see a great example of being focused and determined to succeed in a field that is male centered.Danielle is the first guest on my show that initially said “No” to being a guest and then decided she would like to be on the show. She reached out to me several months after my initial request to explain that the girls she mentors asked her what she has done to be out of her own comfort zone. She remembered being asked by me to be a guest on the podcast and turning it down. It was a reminder to her that even as we get older we need to push our own comfort zones.Intro Song “Road Trip” by Robin Tricker

Courtney Rich is my guest on today’s podcast. It was great hearing from Courtney how she has built up her cake business while raising her children and being a wife to her husband. I enjoyed hearing some stories of travel and how she and her husband are able juggle their work schedules, kid’s school and activities schedule and date night schedules. I never would have thought, prior to my podcast, about needing to travel for work because of a bustling cake business. Her cool designs and cake tool kits are very practical and make cake design much easier. She also works at a culinary art center in her hometown of Salt Lake City, Utah so if you are ever in the area look her up and see if you can take one of her classes.Courtney has a great social media presence for her fans and friends so make sure to follow her and see when she is visiting your neighborhood. Christina Papavlasopoulos is my guest this week. Christina is the co-founder of the luxury boutique travel planning company, Shefari. I was excited to speak with Christina about her company beginnings and where they are headed. As the father of two daughters, I was happy to hear from other women looking to expand their circle and help empower women. Make sure to look at the bottom of this page for their upcoming woman empowerment trip, She Succeeds, to Greece this October.ABOUT CHRISTINAAdventure has been instilled in me since childhood. We moved often, and though good-byes were difficult, there was always excitement for the faces and places that lie ahead. My sense of adventure continued in college, where my interest in art history and fashion sent me on a study tour to Paris and London. I admired the intricate architecture, the chic Parisian style, and delighted in calling my parents from an infamous red telephone booth to wish them a Happy New Year. A week in France and England led to a semester in Italy, and then work in Greece – each its own glorious adventure. Besides travel I love musicals, bold colors, artichokes, and leather-bound books. I want to learn the cello and become fluent in five languages. I adore wit and creativity, and I’ve never met a latte I didn’t like. When I’m not planning your next Shefari, I can be found painting, drawing, and jogging (fine, walking) to throwback hip-hop. Though planes take me all over the world, my favorite destination is home to Florida, sharing wine and stories with my family. The Shefari “aha” moment came with an international phone call. My aunt announced that she was coming to Greece, explaining life was too short not to experience it to the fullest and see the places she wanted. She already had her sister, mother, and cousins on board. At her request, we planned the trip of a lifetime for seven of my favorite women, and our first Shefari was born.SHEFARIWe are a new generation of travel planners.
