Es geht weiter auf dem friedlichen Intrigenplaneten, diesmal im Gespräch zwischen Alex und Ivy. Es bleibt weiter aufregend, nicht nur Crichton entrinnt einem Mordanschlag, auch die ortsansässige Prinzessin. Scorpius bringt zusätzlich Verwirrung in die Angelegenheit. Die Lösung für das ganze Chaos ist Crichton in Stein. Und Moya trifft auf ihre Erschaffe und muss sich für ihren Nachwuchs verantworten. Die auf dem Planeten eingesetzte Peacekeeperin hat anscheinend zuletzt nicht viel aus dem Sebarzianerreich mitbekommen. Sie kann Crichton nicht so richtig einordnen und ihr Auftrag wird auch nicht so ganz deutlich. Auf uns wirkt sie eher teilnahmslos und zu sehr in ihrer Tarnung versunken. Was hat es nur mit den 80 Zyklen im Stein auf sich? Wie soll das gehen? Hintergrund soll wohl sein, dass die eingefrorenen von ihren Vorgängern lernen sollen. Ginge das nicht auch ohne in Stein zu verweilen? John der Informationen vom Prinz gewinnen möchte, verhält sich wie ein verkappter Schulhofbully, was soll das nur? Das kommt natürlich auch seiner Verlobten nicht gut an, wenn der eigene Bruder bedrängt wird. Zhaan, die auf Moya geblieben ist, hat derweil eine interessante Begegnung. Im All materialisiert sich Kahaynu, einer der Erbauer der Leviathane. Uns erinnern seine Augenbrauen etwas an Londo Mollari. Das römisch dekadenten passt auch sehr gut zu dieser Interpretation. Der Darsteller Jonathan Hardy spricht übrigens ansonsten auch Dominar Rygel, also macht es Sinn, diese Episode mal in Englisch zu schauen um dies ausreichend würdigen zu können. :-) Sein Ansatz, dass die Leviathane für den Frieden erschaffen wurden gefällt uns ja ganz gut. Aber dass er Moya ausser Dienst stellen will, weil sie Tallyn geboren hat, ist unfair. Denn sie hat es ja nicht freiwillig gemacht sondern durch eine Manipulation der Peacekeeper. Und so kämpft Zhaan mit allen Mitteln, nicht nur argumentativ gegen Kahaynu sondern auch im direkten Gespräch mit Moya, die von Kahaynu erstmalig eine eigene Stimme verliehen bekommt. Denn Moya kann und will sich nicht ihrer Gottheit widersetzen. Zhaan hingegen hat keine Aktien mit den Erbauern und will es so nicht hinnehmen. Wir fühlen uns durch den Klang von Moyas Stimme übrigens an die Stimme der LEXX erinnert, wem geht es noch so? Die Erbauer halten übrigens scheinbar nicht viel von Piloten, denn auch die Bitte von Zhaan, wenigstens den unschuldigen Pilot zu retten, wird von Kahaynu rigoros abelehnt. Das zeugt nicht gerade von ethisch einwandfreien Gottheiten, also haben sie auch jedes Recht verwirkt, göttlich behandelt zu werden. Zhaan tröstet Pilot und wir erleben ihn als sehr gefasst und ruhig, weil er eigentlich das große Ziel seines Lebens, durch den Weltraum zu fliegen, bereits erreicht hat und er somit in Frieden sterben kann. Die Szene gefällt uns. Aeryn, Chiana und D'Argo sind natürlich auch noch da. Aeryn ist unglaublich genervt und stellenweise wütend über die Entwicklung. Chiana versucht zu klären, wer hinter dem Giftanschlag steckt. Sie versucht den Scaraner zu bedrohen um etwas über die Hintergründe des versuchten Anschlags zu erfahren. Der geht allerdings davon aus, der Prinz wäre der Übeltäter. Wir sind verwirrt, die ganze Aktion passt eher zu dem Scaraner oder zu Scorpius. Jetzt wird auch klar, dass Scorpi doch mehr mit John angestellt hat, als bisher bekannt war. Bei der Aktion im All sorgt er dafür, dass Johns Selbsterhaltungstrieb aktiviert wird um ihn überleben zu lassen. Beunruhigend, dass John ab sofort wohl regelmäßig mit dieser fremden Stimme im Kopf zu tun haben wird. Wie albern kann ein Film sein? Antwort von Roland Emmerich: Ja. Und dennoch machen wir es uns zu einfach, wenn wir „Moonfall“ nur als bescheuerten Katastrophenfilm abtun. Das ist er natürlich, aber wir sollten die ideologischen Implikationen keinesfalls übersehen. Die Erde ist wieder einmal bedroht, diesmal rast nicht wie in „Don't Look Up“ ein Komet auf die Erde zu, sondern gleich der Mond. Nicht Wissenschaftler wie bei Adam McKay, sondern ein Nerd entdeckt, dass sich die Umlaufbahn des Mondes plötzlich geändert hat. Erst will ihm niemand glauben, die staatlichen Forschungsinstitutionen sind mit der Lage überfordert. Es werden Außenseiter sein, die die Mission zur Weltrettung anführen. Dieser Nerd hat zugleich noch ein privates Problem: Er will endlich die Anerkennung seiner Mutter gewinnen. Außerdem müssen einige zerrüttete Patch-Work-Familien wieder gekittet werden – mit anderen Worten: Eine die gesamte Menschheit bedrohende Katastrophe kommt gerade recht. Im All ist jede Menge los; wir bekommen das nur nicht mit, weil wir es gewöhnlich nicht sehen können. Oft sind interessante Himmelskörper Lichtjahre entfernt – zu weit weg für das menschliche Auge. Beim trickreichen Blick ins Weltall mit großen Teleskopen und Satelliten erleben wir ein spannendes Schauspiel: Da explodieren Sterne, neue werden geboren, schwarze Löcher verschlingen alles, was ihrem gierigen Schlund zu nahe kommt. I don't agree with everything that Gary Vaynerchuk puts out into the world, but this Instagram post he did really struck a deep chord:   “You’re addicted: To people telling you you’re pretty. To people telling you you’re talented. To teachers telling you you’re a good student. To opinions. The reason so many struggle with negativity is because they overvalue positive reinforcement.” -Gary Vaynerchuk   The problem is that when we give SO much weight to the positive reinforcement, we’re affected even more deeply when we get negative reinforcement or feedback.  I'm ALL for positive reinforcement and praise.  But it's like anything else: too much and it becomes unhealthy.We need to continue to be motivated by intrinsic praise because when no one is clapping for you, are you going to be able to keep going otherwise?  Are you going to be satisfied with knowing that you did a good job, without someone else telling you? Talking to Anna Renderer, host of a milion POPSUGAR Fitness videos you've no doubt seen and sweated to on YouTube, is a weird cross between feeling like you're being hugged and feeling like you're getting a shot of adrenaline straight to the goal-getting part of your brain. She exclaims, she gushes, she lets you in on her secrets—and you're left with a completely different mindset on your goals on to-do list. I met Renderer in August at the MINDBODY Bold Conference, where we sat for an interview before she took the stage as a presenter. After our conversation, I knew we needed to get her on the #WeGotGoals podcast, and Renderer was more than game, especially once she heard the theme was Better, Faster, Stronger. "I'm ALL about that!" I distinctly remember her saying in a tone of voice that was equivalent to a fist pump. And after hearing more about her background in high performance and the clarity with which she sets her goals, it's clear to me why Renderer is so successful. She told me herself: she's got the hoo-rah, but she's also got the do-rah. What she means by that, she explains, is yes, she's got the strength of a thousand cheerleaders when it comes to enthusiasm for goal-setting and achieving. But she's also incredibly practical when it comes to her own strategies and productivity habits, which she shared with me on the podcast. "If there's one thing you can do with your productivity," she tells me, "focus on the needle movers. Now that I can't do ALL this stuff, what do I NEED to do? Block time to solely focus on action steps that get you closer to those projects getting completed." And like our team, Renderer is a big believer in the power of saying goals out loud—in fact, that's how she heard about the available role with POPSUGAR Fitness. At a Venice Beach barbecue, Renderer was talking about her passion for serving others and how she was setting her sights on working in fitness to help others get more out of their lives. Another attendee overheard her big dreams, and reached out later saying he'd heard about this role as a part-time YouTube fitness host for POPSUGAR and thought she'd be perfect. Three million subscribers later, it's clear that Renderer was in fact the perfect fit for the job—but she never would have gotten her chance if she hadn't been vocal about her audacious dreams. So you've finished the second round of interviewing. You survived going onsite, the good ol' face to face round where you meet with multiple people from the team you're seeking to join. I've said it before, but I will say it again I'm ALL about putting together rockstar follow ups. Doesn't matter which stage you're in, you need a follow-up for all of them people. In today's episode we go over how to leverage the power of follow-up once you've made it past the first couple rounds of interviews. We will touch on some of the tips explained in episode #2 where we spoke about preparing for an onsite interview. Listen in on the show for how you can tie it all together.
