"The Blame Game"

There would be no more to prove in a court of law down here on Earth who's right or who's wrong there won't be any more pointing of the fingers who cause this catastrophe, whose negligence cause the life of all these people. Who is responsible for a pandemic, like covid-19 that we just recently went through. Government might turn their face, and their true blame may be hidden from Men, but God sees, and God knows who did that horrific act against humanity and that will be included in the judgment. As with the action of Nero, with Hitler, Caesars, with many kings/dictators who have carried out the atrocities for the enemy Satan. They will all be brought into judgment even to the very group of Roman soldiers who crucified our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ it will all come before the white throne judgment. How do I know that? Because the Lord says so in his word every eye shall see him, let me read it: "He is coming with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all Kindreds of the Earth shall wail because of Him. even so, Amen." (Revelation 1:7) read it. So as you can see from Adam the first man, to The last Man standing on Earth we all shall see Him. For He is: "Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, say the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty (Revelations 1:8) read it. We also have guardian Angels who have walked with us from the moment we are born until the day we die, and they will be witness to our right or wrong. So my brothers and sisters the blame game will be complete.Contact: heavensprayerlink.com, we love to pray with you, God bless you.

With a territory covering Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand, and encompassing 5 different languages, District Grand Master of Eastern Archipelago, RW Bro Dato Jeyaraj Ratnaswamy shares his thoughts on how Freemasonry unites Brethren from diverse cultures. "...we are also of all Nations, Tongues, Kindreds, and Languages, and are resolv'd against all Politicks, as what never yet conduc'd to the Welfare of the Lodge, nor ever will." (The Constitutions of the Free-Masons, 1723) RW Bro Dato Jeyaraj Ratnaswamy was born in Kuala Lumpur, attended the University of Sunderland, England and then the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia where he received a Masters in Finance. He was initiated in Freemasonry in 1986 and was installed as the RW District Grand Master & Grand Superintendent by the Assistant Grand Master Sir David Hugh Wootton, on 20th February 2016. Revelation Chapter 2Welcome back for a bit of review of Revelation Chapter 1If you were to share chapter 1 with a friend how would you tell them about it? Do you remember what or who the book of Revelation is revealing and how did this bit of History get to us?It might help us remember if I repeat the step by step process. Actually just thinking of steps will help us burn an image in our minds eye. The Apokolyspos (Apocolypse meaning Revelation) Which came to us in steps throughout History began with:God to Jesus to The Angel toJohn to The seven churches toYou and I today. John then wrote down the things which he sawThose who read, hear and keep the things that are written in the Book are blessed because…THE TIME IS AT HAND.Conveying the sense that nothing more has to happen before the next item on God's calendar occurs, that being…..the RAPTURE. Yes, I know the word Rapture is not in the Bible. But the word Harpotso (Snatching away) is, in the Greek, so instead another word in our language conveys the snatching away of the Church. I mean can you imagine people standing around wondering where so many people went. Yes, that will be a tragedy!I can just see those that were left behind trying to remember that Greek word and trying to tell their neighbor, I think they were Harpooned, or Harpotzed, no Harpotsoed. And their neighbor asking, what's that? Raptured will be something that those left behind have heard something about by this time in History. But more on that later. John then continues to greet the churches in the Ephesus area, Asia Minor. Paul was now dead and Jeursalem had fallen by the hands of Rome in AD 70. So John, as he pastored the churches in that area, told them of the message he now had from the Angel of God, of the... Faithful witnessThe first born from the deadThe Prince of KingsThe One who loved enough to die to forgive sins and wash them away with His perfect sacrifice. ( Zechariah 12)The One that “ WILL BE COMING IN THE CLOUDS” and every eye will see Him, and all those who pierced Him, and all the Kindreds of the Earth will WAIL when they see Him. Who? The Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending as described by the first and the last letter of the Greek Alphabet) Jesus and the Outline of the Book:Which wasWhich isAnd which is to come. Just in case you still don't recognize who that is, John makes it clear again…..The Almighty! Then John described a Vision of the Son Of Man…Jesus.Remember John is using words in his vocabulary that attempt to describe things no one had ever seen before… and was told to write about it. I know that when I am writing, whether it be a short story or a novel or a letter, I stumble over my words and struggle to find just the right ones to convey the message that needs to be etched into the readers mind or heart. So let's give Pastor John a break as we read the things he shares in this book. Revelation, like other books of the Bible, have a historical, geographical, time and place. However, these times and places span thousands of years of History. In the Old Testament the prophets tried so hard to understand the times in which it looks like we are living, but the words that were given them by God, did not allow for them to see the future clearly. Sometimes the time lines fo History overlapped, or stretched out beyond the days of Abraham and jumped ahead in History and yet the words that were shared seemed to cover both of...

Black Lives Matter. Right now, police brutality, white supremacy, and state-sanctioned militarism are on full display in this country, and we will not be silent. Not now, not ever. And at Kindreds, we are committed to doing the work of anti-racism-- and dismantling white supremacy--in our own lives, in our work as non-profit leaders, and on this show. Let's get to work.

On Kindreds Picks, we discuss some of our favorite recommendations that we didn’t have time to get to in our regular episode. Ashley’s Pick: Eloheh Indigenous Center for Earth Justice After studying the Lenten guide Drawing Closer to Creator and Creation: And Indigenous Journey Through Lent, Ashley shares about the Eloheh Center, co-founded by Edith and Randy Woodley in 1999 out of concern that neither the government nor the church was addressing the many needs in Native American communities. The Woodleys believe that our response to climate change should be rooted in learning from those who have long practiced a value for creation and listened to the voice of Creator in this area. For decades, Randy and Edith Woodley have cultivated Eloheh as a community, farm, seed bank, and learning center. For over 30 years, the Woodleys have been teaching Native and non-Native peoples to deepen their commitment to preserving humanity’s role as good earth-keepers by understanding Creator’s invitation to harmony and shalom. Through their summits, camps, ceremony, conferences and teachings, the Woodleys offer an opportunity for all to learn a new way to live on the land and respond to the climate crisis. Learn more at eloheh.org. Katey’s Pick: The Intuitive Way by Penney Pierce Similar in style to The Artist's Way, The Intuitive Way is a workbook with lessons and exercises designed to help you hone in in on and develop your inner wisdom. It has questions to journal, meditations to practice, and free writing prompts all around how we experience that sense of knowing. For example, the book asks you to think about the way that you recall one of your favorite experiences in the past. Do you hear it most? See it? Feel it? Even smell it? If you’re looking for something to help you tune into your inner guide, pick up The Intuitive Way.

December 25 is a special day every year around this time, and so it's fitting that we bring you Episode 25 this holiday season. Our most recent episode features Joe and Katy Kindred of Charlotte's runaway hit restaurants Kindred and Hello, Sailor! Let us first acknowledge the return of Page's favorite podcast intro on this episode. While we will always thank our buddy Penn Holderness for whipping together the intro you've heard over the previous 24 episodes in about 39 seconds, it was the throwaway clip of Jake you just heard that will likely kick things off going forward. We're either terribly sorry, or you're very welcome. Now, on to our guests... Joe and Katy have had a mildly successful foray into restaurateurship. After long, winding careers in the industry, spanning Charlotte, Chicago and San Francisco, and then back to Charlotte, the couple launched Kindred in Davidson. To say it was a rocket ship not only in the greater Queen City-area but nationwide would be putting it mildly. Kindred hit every "Top New _____" list in 2015, and it helped transform historic downtown Davidson in the process. On the heels of this success, the couple turned their attention to Lake Norman, where they took an old, declining shore front restaurant and flipped it into Hello, Sailor. In the span of a couple of years and a few miles, the Kindreds redefined night life in greater Charlotte. Joe's the chef and Katy's the brains behind the look and feel of their businesses and brand. The two talk about how they're raising their three young children as "restaurant kids," about all of the twists and turns they endured en route to their success and about how important it is for couples to continue to date even after marriage. In fact, they were headed to grab sushi immediately following the podcast. We loved them, and we think you will too. We can’t thank Joe and Katy enough for joining us on this episode, and as always, big thanks to Garrett Tichy, Hygge and Richard Brooke for having us as a member of their inaugural Hygge Podcast Residency! Please subscribe, share and comment on this episode. Past shows can be found on jakeandpage.com, iTunes and wherever you get your podcasts. Announcement: Our final episode of 2018 will be our Listener Request Episode, so keep sending us your questions and suggestions for topics you’d like us to address! You can send us a quick email at team@kindredspodcast.com Building on our last episode about money, we're focusing this episode on the big picture of money and the church. Where do our charitable contributions to churches--$83 BILLION every year--"go"? Do we know what organizations and charities our faith-based organizations support? Should we care? We talk about religion disguised as health care (i.e. crisis pregnancy centers), the trouble with disaster relief efforts (Ashley talks about her experience after Hurricane Katrina), and why our contributions of goods can cause organizations more headaches than help. Here are some of our personal tips for giving better: 1. Give to local organizations where you have the opportunity to build relationships with the staff, volunteers, and clients. 2. Follow the local organizers after a disaster. Social media can often point the way. 3. Resist the urge to give stuff unless it’s requested. If you must give, contribute the unsexy stuff--adult diapers, underwear, socks, tampons, condoms, etc. What We're Reading and Listening To Ashley has been devouring season 3 of the Serial podcast and as an accompaniment, she's been reading along with the SerialLand blog, which is researched and written by Rebecca Maurer, an attorney who lives and works in Cleveland. Katey came across the article  “Making Hunger History: Komal Ahmad” in the October issue of Experience Life magazine. Read about Kamal's success in creating effective systems for distributing leftover food to the people who need it. Kindreds of the Moment Circle of Health International (COHI), a nonprofit based in Austin, Texas, aligns itself with local, community based organizations led and powered by women to assist in disaster relief efforts. They are currently raising $50,000 to help with Hurricane Michael relief to: Hire a team of evacuee women to coordinate COHI's relief efforts within the shelters  Provide cash grants to evacuees to cover emergency housing and transportation costs for vulnerable women and children who've lost their homes and vehicles in the storm Provide cash grants to evacuees to cover costs associated with labor and delivery support and medical care for medically fragile kids To donate visit cohintl.org. Why is making friends in adulthood so tough?  On this episode Ashley and Katey discuss the ways that we've tried (and failed) to find friends, how we've learned to change our friendship expectations over time, and some ways that we carved out space for friendship in our busy schedules (even with young kiddos!). If you're looking to make new friends, here are some things you might try: Consider making your home (or a space you like to go) the place where people gather. Invite folks for a potluck dinner, a board game night, or a celebration of a minor holiday. Yes, you'll have to clean up before (and after), but it'll probably be worth it. Ask your friends to connect you with their friends. Think friend blind dates. When an opportunity comes along, say yes. Take the risk and dive in. If you can't get together at the proposed time or if you need to cancel, apologize and make a specific plan to meet up in the very near future.  Err on the generous side. Be the one to invite others. Let go of what others "should" do and do what you *want* to do. Make community happen on your terms. What We're Reading and Listening To  Ashley recently finished Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson about his work at the Equal Justice Initiative, an organization that provides legal defense for people who can’t afford it.  Ashley describes the writing style as "John Grisham-like," which will engross you from the start. Stevenson ends the book by suggesting practical ways for citizens to get involved with ending mass incarceration. Katey devoured an advanced copy of Linda Kay Klein's now-available book Pure: Inside the Evangelical Movement That Shamed a Generation of Young Women and How I Broke Free. She takes on the purity movement in a no-holds-barred-kind of way that Kindreds listeners will just love.
