Kenny and Mike discuss and spotfaith in the film and stage adaptations of Harper Lee's classic novel, To Kill A Mockingbird. The film version was released in 1962 and stars Gregory Peck as Atticus Finch and Mary Badham as Scout. The stage production, written by Aaron Sorkin starred Jeff Daniels as Atticus opened on Broadway in 2018. The 2023 touring production stars Richard Thomas with Mary Badham playing Mrs. Henry Dubose, and Melanie Moore as Scout. Faith Spotted: The film and stage production depict Atticus as a Christ Figure in his willingness and courage to do the righteous thing in representing Tom Robinson, knowing he and his family will suffer for it. The place and audacity of evil as personified by Bob Ewell who abuses his own daughter, blames Tom Robinson, taunts the Robinson family, and the Finch children. In the face of such evil, and in contrast to the example of Christ as seen in Atticus, the temptation to go along, to remain silent and fail to stand up for righteousness. The gift of grace to do what is righteous even if it is not in line with the law as depicted by Sherrif Heck Tate when he declared Bob Ewell fell on his knife during his attack on the Finch children.
This is Atticus Finch as we've never seen him before so I hope you get to experience To Kill a Mockingbird firsthand. Richard Thomas (Atticus) reveals what's new and different about this story we all know so well, Yaegel Welch (Tom Robinson) talks about embracing what's unique about you, and Melanie Moore (Scout) shares what it's like to be all grown up & playing a child on stage.

Today's episode of the podcast is an interview with Melanie Moore who is the UK's leading vision board expert and award winning coach who inspires her clients to tap into their vision. Melanie is on a mission to help millions of people dream bigger, think bigger and act bigger. We talk all about creating your vision, the tools you can use to do this and the law of attraction/action. KEY TAKEAWAYS COVERED IN THE PODCAST You have to create a vision for what you want. 4 pillars – abundance, health, relationships and environment. Your vision is always the destination. Tapping keeps us in alignment, motivates us to take action and you can use it on ANYTHING. We can rewire our conscious brain and clear past traumas with tapping. EFT is a cross between acupuncture without needles and modern day phycology (NLP and CBT techniques). The key to manifestation is to focus on what you want, rather than what you don't want. You need to start thinking that you are lucky and good things do happen to you. Start by getting clear, then let go and finally look at your vision. You have to start with the end goal in mind then work backwards. The more you focus on something, the more the universe knows you want it! THE ONE THING YOU NEED TO REMEMBER ABOVE ALL ELSE… Life is a beautiful journey – we have good days and bad days, good chapters and not so good chapters. There are sometimes lessons we have to learn. All of us have big dreams but most of us are not really clear on what we want. We all reach crossroads in our lives and you just need to either take that leap or stay where you are. Imagine if you have complete clarity around your vision and manifesting what your heart truly desires, what you want will become a possibility. The universe listens. Melanie Moore, who is a big vision coach is my guest for this episode of Live Your Dreams Awake and she will share with us how to call in your big vision into your life and the right way to create your own vision board. Enjoy listening! REMEMBER - “Be clear first on what you want your vision to be.” This week's tip is super easy, and it's about really calling in all your dreams to your life. We can think about and imagine and dream about what we want. First, putting it down on paper will make a huge difference, writing it in the present tense. I am grateful for my loving relationship. I am grateful for the exotic travels and places that I've been to, be as specific as you possibly can and writing down placing those affirmations or those intentions that you want to call in in an envelope and putting them underneath your bed mattress, you will be able to dream into your reality. WHAT WE COVER DURING THIS EPISODE: Melanie Moore’s background and what she does now. How did Melanie start to support people with their bigger vision? How is the process of visioning? (...And what are the four pillars of Big Vision?) What's the funniest thing Melanie has done on one of her vision boards? How to do Tapping? (...Why is it called the sandwich process?) Some tapping exercises with Patricia - One manifestation you can do while doing the tapping: "Even though I am not really of what I want and I am lacking in clarity in my vision and What my heart really desires, I am acknowledging that and I choose to love and accept myself anyway." Envisioning the life you want can be daunting and can even generate self-limiting thoughts. But what if I told you that there are tools to quiet that voice inside your head and that it's possible to have the courage to start manifesting your dream and make it reality... would you do it? Would you be open to change and to taking the actions necessary to make your vision come to life? This episode is all about tapping (also known as EFT or Emotional Freedom Technique). Tapping is a very powerful stress relief technique. You can tap for abundance, anxiety reduction, gratitude -- there are so many possibilities to “tap” into. Tapping grants us the power to change our mindset so that we can reach for our true potential and make the goals we want to reach possible. When I started to introduce tapping into my life I had no idea what I was in store for. I began to realize the self-limiting beliefs that held me back from doing my best. Tapping is a way to help support the positive belief in ourselves and our desire to create the future we want. I can tell you from personal experience with tapping that it is a simple, but fascinatingly powerful tool!My guest for this episode is Melanie Moore. She is a mindset and manifestation coach who uses the power of tapping to help her clients change the trajectory of their lives. Before she got started in this line of work, she worked in the corporate world. However, once her children were born and still young, she realized she didn't want to go back; Melanie wanted to start her own business. She always had an interest in holistic therapies, where she eventually came across tapping/EFT. Now, she's helping her clients get clear on their vision by helping them commit to their goals by taking action and creating their dream lives through a range of different tapping techniques.I can't wait for you to learn more about this powerful stress relief technique. I hope it helps you gain clarity on how you want to live and how tapping can transform your life. Visual artist, animal lover, Enneagram type 4, and Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation Education Director Melanie Moore joins us on the Hello Frances Podcast to discuss overcoming creative blocks. As an Enneagram type 4, Melanie is naturally creative and her career requires consistent optimal creativity. Melanie shares what does (and doesn’t) help cultivate creativity including meditating, stepping out of your comfort zone, and Zentangle, a method of pattern drawing that promotes mindfulness and relaxed awareness. For those who don’t consider themselves to be creative, Melanie encourages listeners that creativity can be cultivated and improved upon if you intentionally practice. Shantelle and Melanie discuss how overstimulation and stagnation both affect creativity. When certain concepts work for us, sometimes we overuse them making it hard to come up with new material, and on the other hand, when we look for inspiration elsewhere we end up creating work that looks like everyone else’s. Tune into this insightful chat to hear more of Melanie’s thoughts on overcoming a creative rut. You can follow Melanie on Facebook and Instagram and email us any questions for her at hello@francesroy.com.

Welcome book lovers back to our first episode of Season 3. I was away on vacation so Carrie teamed up with former guest and Ohio friend Giselle Spurgeon, to co-host this week to interview a fellow Ohioan Melanie Moore, owner of the Cincy Book Bus. When you see an old rusty truck, the first thing that pops into your head is probably not “book store”. Melanie though had other ideas. Her dream of opening her own bookstore after retiring from 25 years of teaching was hampered somewhat by the heavy burden of all the things that go along with having a brick and mortar shop. That is, until she read a book written in 1917 called Parnassus On Wheels about a horse-drawn wagon filled with books driven around the countryside of England by a woman looking for adventure. When Melanie looked out her kitchen window and saw her husband's old mint green VW truck, she knew the path her bookstore future would take would have fenders and chrome. Pre-Covid, book lovers could find Melanie and her Cincy Book Bus popping up all over the greater Cincinnati area including Northern Kentucky at coffee shops, festivals, and small boutiques. Now with pandemic, she has made her presence count online as she has all kinds of ways customers can buy books, many of them hard to find European editions, both with her online store as well as with a bookclub. Oh, and I can't forget to mention that 100% of her proceeds go to buying books for low-income youth. Melanie talks to Carrie and Giselle about why she sees her bookstore on wheels as part of a much larger book community, how her love of the 1930s and 40s fueled the vintage feel of her logo and truck, and how she doubled the number of books she donates to worthwhile children's organizations. Books Discussed in This Episode: 1 - Parnassus on Wheels by Christopher Morley 2- All Creatures Great and Small series by James Herriott 3- Beneath a Scarlet Sky by Mark Sullivan 4- The Invincible Summer of Juniper Jones by Daven McQueen 5- Piecing Me Together by Renee Watson 6- The Thing About Jellyfish by Ali Benjamin 7- Rebecca by Daphne DuMaurier 8- Books by D.E. Stevenson 9- A Month in the Country by J. L. Carr
When Melanie looked out her kitchen window and saw her husband’s old mint green VW truck, she knew the path her bookstore future would take would have fenders and chrome. Oh, and I can’t forget to mention that 100% of her proceeds go to buying books for low-income youth. Melanie talks to Carrie and Giselle about why she sees her bookstore on wheels as part of a much larger book community, how her love of the 1930s and 40s fueled the vintage feel of her logo and truck, and how she doubled the number of books she donates to worthwhile children’s organizations. Well, Friend is this a season for reading, or WHAT?? With all of this self-isolation, I am hearing from many of you that you are reading more books right now than ever before. So am I! In today's chapter of The Booktruck Chronicles, I am presenting you with a conversation I recorded back in February before we knew this COVID crisis was going to become such a foundational change in how we live our everyday lives. It was a pleasure to talk with Melanie Moore, owner and operator of Cincy Book Bus, a mobile bookstore in Cincinnati, Ohio. Melanie is a big dreamer and a woman of wild imagination and a deep appreciation for good books. She supports local schools with the profits from her booktruck by supplying their libraries with new books. She is amazing! Find Melanie's Cincy Book Bus on Instagram & Facebook. In this chapter, I talk about our interest in working with foster programs to provide books for children in care - once COVID is in our rearview mirror, we look forward to pursuing partnerships with agencies in Edmonton who facilitate care and placements for foster kids of all ages. There is no Business Bar today because frankly, the whole chapter is focused on the business side of booktruck life... Stay home, Friend. Read a book. Enjoy your people. The Project EGG Show: Entrepreneurs Gathering for Growth | Conversations That Change The World
Melanie Moore: As one of the UK's leading Vision Board experts, I help impact-driven visionaries transcend their limiting beliefs, so that they can gain the clarity they need to fully commit to their vision and impact their world. I've manifested so much in my own life: an all expenses paid trip to Disney World, First Class travel, a huge game show win, my new Range Rover. But here's my secret: this hasn't come from just creating a vision board (which is important!). It comes from solidifying the vision, creating a vision board, and removing obstacles and mental blocks that keep us stuck! I've learned that tapping into your deepest desires starts with getting clear on what it is that will really light you up and bring happiness. Only then can you start to really visualize your dreams. Previously on Drunk Mythology… Krista and Christian were joined by Melanie and Steven Moore on a journey to Jeju Island for a soju-driven dive into a Korean Creation Myth. And then we lost half the episode. But we dug deep and got drunk all over again on somek and with all four of our brain bits we were able to recant the tales of the victorious Cheonjiwang and his ridiculous, good and bad, Jack and the Beanstalk climbing up to heaven sons, Daebyeol and Sobyeol. This part 2 features twice the sons, twice the moons, twice the suns, and this time the stories are even more… AMAZING. Drunk Mythology is a podcast created by Krista and Christian, recounting the feats and failures of world Mythology, with a few drinks along the way.

I am so excited to introduce you to Melanie Moore on this week’s Organize 365 podcast! As many of you know, I’m running a series of the top 5 people who have helped shape and define me over the last decade and Melanie definitely qualifies. Melanie is the Director of Training & Development at CinchShare, a social media scheduling software that helps entrepreneurs, business owners, and anyone using social media to spend more time doing what they love rather than being tied to a computer. We use CinchShare at Organize 365 and I’m delighted that CinchShare is sponsoring the Organize 365 National Convention on June 7-9, 2018 in Texas. Melanie is going to be the Master of Ceremonies! How I Met Melanie The first time we spoke, I was in Walmart when my cell phone rang. The lady on the end of the phone sounded so enthusiastic that I pretended to know exactly who she was (even though at that stage I didn’t!). At the time, Melanie organized events where companies would come together, share ideas, and take them back to their own teams to grow their businesses. She asked if I would be a speaker and I couldn’t wait to jump in and say yes. I’d always wanted to be a national direct sales speaker and this was the perfect opportunity to learn and develop. She couldn’t pay me, but asked if I had a book I’d like to sell at the end. I said, "Yes." The speaking opportunity was in 2 weeks so I had 2 weeks to write a book... which, of course, I did!! :) Be An Action Taker After several meet-ups, we realized that we were both action takers. Being an action taker is a lot of fun. It opens up time to spend on things you enjoy rather than deliberating over things that don’t hold so much significance. For example, when something breaks, I’ll buy a new one right away. I won’t take hours pondering it. If the new one doesn’t work out, we’ll try again. Why Melanie Is An Inspiration To Me Melanie’s enthusiasm and expertise is infectious. And we both talk as fast as each other! I love that we both see the bigger picture in life. We’re able to both draw on our direct sales experience and see what’s working and what isn’t. The opportunities for both of us that arise from this are just super exciting. Organize 365 National Convention in Dallas Tickets are available NOW! Click here. Describing this convention is something I am having a hard time articulating. It’s a convention that meets a retreat with a splash of the group activities you did on school field trips. Think of it as a chance to meet and hug me (I’m a big hugger!). It’s all about getting like-minded people in a room together and learning so much from each other. Prepare to meet new friends, enjoy new experiences, and open your mind to a world of possibilities that you never thought possible. Give yourself the time to take a step out of the real world and purposefully plan your next year. I promise you, you’ll walk out of the convention as a new person. As Melanie says, “You’ll be a new person on a new mission. You’ll see clarity like you’ve never experienced. Clarity alone will bring you back every single year.” Rise – YOU Are Enough I want you to leave the conference believing in YOU. The convention will give you the resources you need to continue on your organizational journey and open up time in your calendar and space in your life for the future you want to happen. The more organized you are, the better your personal and professional life can be. I have a burning desire to see people thriving and living a relaxed life where they can live out their free time. The Organize 365 community is super awesome. We all learn from each other, including me! For example, thanks to a suggestion from someone in the group (thank you!), I now peg my jeans instead of hanging them so I have a designated space for each TYPE of jeans I wear. The peg is a brilliant idea! Supporting each other also brings us to synergy and the idea that 1 + 1 = 3 (or for me and Melanie, 8 million!). It’s important to get off technology and see people face-to-face. Melanie is such a wonderful example of this and I’m so happy that our paths crossed. There’s so much value in speaking to people. If you dream it and believe it, you can achieve it. As Melanie says, she can’t wait to see my dream of running a national convention actually come to fruition… and neither can I! We’re super excited to meet you all. There are only 160 tickets available. Once they’re gone, they’re GONE! Join us for some big surprises, be ready to be inspired, and take action. Come to Dallas and rise with us. Grab your tickets here. View the complete post here: https://organize365.com/215

Episode 3 of The Curriculum, our brand new podcast, is available now. Once again, we have Melanie Moore, Curriculum Director at Cornerstones, and Catherine Scutt, one of our Senior Curriculum Consultants, on board to continue the discussion about broad and balanced curriculums. And this time the focus is on planning. How do you get started when it comes to building a broad and balanced curriculum? Can you just get cracking or should you put some thought into what you want to achieve first? And then what impact do your decisions have on both long-term and medium-term planning? We tackle these questions and more using real-world, practical examples.
This second episode of The Curriculum podcast features Melanie Moore, Curriculum Director at Cornerstones, and Catherine Scutt, one of our Senior Curriculum Consultants. They discuss a current hot topic in the education world – the concept of a broad and balanced curriculum. This is the first in a short series of episodes on this subject. We'll be offering some tips and advice on how to build a broad and balanced curriculum, but for this episode we focus on what that actually means. What does it look like in practice? Why is it important? And why is the broad and balanced concept such an important topic right now? Go grab your headphones and settle in as we try to answer those questions and more.
