Raj is a local Dubai Entrepreneur, he's a Speaker, DJ, Producer and CEO of Creative Content Agency and also founder of My Friends Your Friends, connecting business owners in Dubai. He’s been in the creative game for 20 years, and he runs a content creation agency that helps create and facilitate content for business to business brands. Fatman Scoop is a two time Grammy Award winning recording artist, promoter and radio personality. He has done over a 100 live shows all across the world, from club shows to major tours. After the hit of the pandemic, travel hit a stop for Scoop, and he had to come up with a unique way to keep in touch with his fanbase. From a traditional recording artist, he had to pivot rapidly, turning to Instagram collaborations and a boost in content. Since then he’s seen a nearly 20% rise in his following. Raj and Scoop met over a decade ago and reconnected a few years ago in Dubai and collaborated on a podcast called Other People’s Podcast. They now work together to convert Scoop’s conversations with artists such as Missy Elliot, from his Instagram content into a podcast itself.

I started this whole podcast just so I could share this episode.  Back in 2009, when Gary Vaynerchuk bragged about answering every email, I had to give it a try.  He replied, we built a studio in his hotel breakfast room and the following conversation changed my life. We spoke about a digital evangelist writing a book, an influencer starting an agency called VaynerMedia and touched on the philosophy of the internet.  The best phone at the time was an Apple iPhone 3GS.  Most "vloggers" used a Flipcam.  The iPad was meant to take over the world.  And there was no Instagram or Snapchat.  That's what makes this conversation SO evergreen.  Everything Gary Vee spoke of can still be applied today (you'll still hear it echoed on The GaryVee Audio Experience podcast).  And I did apply it.  On the show you'll hear about the lessons I applied and how I build the Creative Content Agency with the very lessons and strategies shared with me in this podcast.  If you listen to one of my shows, make it this one.   For more content from Raj Kotecha head to www.RajKotecha.com/podcasts, including his show "OPP - Other People's Podcasts", co-hosted by Grammy Award winner Fatman Scoop. Raj Kotecha has spent over two decades creating content, building audiences and gathering communities around the subject of media, entertainment and entrepreneurship. In the mid-2000's, a time when he was best known as an international DJ and party promoter, Raj acted quickly on the opportunity to create video content exclusively for YouTube.  Focussing on his passions, Raj amassed a library of exclusive and unheard content created with artists, entrepreneurs and business leaders. Raj Kotecha's podcast, That's a Great Question shares both new and previously unheard content from Raj's world.  In the second half of every episode Raj reviews and reflects on the content, the lessons he learned and how he applied them.  He also shares how he hustled his way into making the content happen. In this final episode for Season One, Raj and Scoop chop up a huge interview with the internet's golden child, Kevin Rose, interviewing the real-life Tony Stark, Elon Musk (Tesla, SpaceX, PayPal, the man's winning list goes on).  They talk about Elon being a visionary but how the space launch that happened in Dec 2017 was just too much for Scoop.  Raj also tries to calm Scoop down on Elon interfering with the "people" of Mars.  Jewels include the value of having loss leaders in your business, being resilient when people turn you down and becoming the thing that people don't believe you can be. This episode is too much.  After several false starts, including Scoop getting his hosts mixed up, we finally get into a podcast starring two great alpha males.  Entrepreneur and social media mogul Gary Vaynerchuk interviewed by the OG of podcasting and renaissance man Joe Rogan on The Joe Rogan Experience Episode 910.  We talk about Gary buying Facebook stock from Mark Zuckerburg's parents, Scoop visiting Gary's multimillion-dollar agency in New York, VaynerMedia, drinking the "Vayner Water" and how basically every tough guy wants Joe Rogan's actual life (by the way, his Netflix special is phenomenal).  Even though Manchild The Producer was on his phone (aka Tinder) during the podcast, which led to a solid cussing, we also talked about robotics and if they'll end up killing all humans.   Please subscribe and give us a 5 star rating and leave a comment wherever you see this podcast, but especially on Apple's Podcast store.  OPP - Other People's Podcast is a show dedicated to reviewing and reflecting on the best personal and professional development podcasts available online today.   The show is hosted by Fatman Scoop and Raj Kotecha.  The show is Produced and Edited by Arjun M Shah and Executive Producer Raj Kotecha.  Any third-party content featured in OPP is purely for the purpose of promoting the excellent podcasts and people mentioned by the show and is not intended to infringe on any copyrights.

One of tech's nicest founders, HootSuite CEO Ryan Holmes was interviewed by one of podcasting's' most positive people, Lewis Howes, on The School of Greatness podcast.  We talk about when Raj met Ryan many years ago and got hit with the Canadian kindness, how Hootsuite might have gotten to a billion dollars and Scoop's love for the concept of Good Hustle Vs Bad Hustle.  We also talk about the P Diddy / Puff Daddy effect of overworking and how great business ideas come when you scratch your own itch (aka offering the market a solution based on a problem you once solved for yourself).  We also get into how being a generalist can get you to a billion-dollar company - if you're good.   Please subscribe and give us a 5-star rating and leave a comment wherever you see this podcast, but especially on Apple's Podcast store.

It took Scoop a while to get into this one by his own admission, but he drops some real gems of his own after listening to marketing OG Ryan Holiday (former assistant to Tim Ferriss) chatting with one of the podcast Kings, James Altucher.  The chat is around perennial (lifelong) selling, the main subject that Altucher and Holiday discussed.  Scoop goes into the idea of building things that are timeless but eventually the conversation becomes about your next door neighbour turning into an alien with green stuff leaking out of their nose.  The show also gets a very rude interruption by one of Jeff Bezo's inventions and Raj rants a bit on the ever present conversation of stoicism in personal development podcasts.  Also, did you know Scoop was the first ever black podcaster?  Find out more in this episode.

In this episode, both Scoop and Raj have hardcore fanboy moments for the legendary business consultant Jay Abraham, after he appeared on a podcast with The Terminator of self-development, the icon, Tony Robbins.  They talk about giving away all of your upfront profit in return for a customer's lifetime value, how to leverage undervalued aspects of a business to make more money and the upside of sharing audiences.  We also have a realisation that OPP is much about having a post-game barbershop style review of a podcast, as well as helping you figure out which podcast to listen to.  This episode is really special.   Please subscribe and give us a 5-star rating and leave a comment wherever you see this podcast, but especially on Apple's Podcast store.
