Poświęciłem im odcinki 20 i 21. Najwyraźniej widać to w historii winnicy Nabota, gdzie to właśnie Izebel podejmuje decyzje i działa w imieniu króla.Gdy po śmierci Nabota prorok przekazał Achabowi wyrok Boży, król okazał skruchę. W 1 Księdze Królewskiej 21:27 czytamy: „A gdy Achab usłyszał te słowa, rozdarł swoje szaty, wdział wór na swoje ciało i pościł, i sypiał w worze, i chodził przygnębiony”. Gdy zabrakło wody, szukał jej, by ocalić konie — kluczowy element swojej siły militarnej. Odkrycia archeologiczne potwierdzają istnienie tzw. „miast rydwanów”, m.in. w Jizreel i Megiddo, gdzie znajdowały się stajnie i zaplecze wojskowe. W 1 Księdze Królewskiej 22:30 czytamy: „Król izraelski rzekł do Jehoszafata: Pójdę do walki w przebraniu.

The war for Ta-Wer. The Thebans had seized the sacred city of Abdju (Abydos) in the district of Ta-Wer. The northern rulers, from the House of Khety, contested this violently. Inscriptions and art reveal the movements of armies, the clashes on field and river, and the sieging of major towns. Soon, things going downright apocalyptic. Also… dogs! How is the intersection of technology and human experience reshaping our workplaces? In this episode, we explore the dynamic evolution of work environments, where technology and human-centric practices are becoming increasingly intertwined. You'll hear about leveraging technology to create more inclusive and equitable workplaces, simplifying work processes through AI, and shifting the focus from productivity to impact. Stela Lupushor is the founder of Reframe.Work Inc. She is also Program Director for the Strategic Workforce Planning and Talent Management Councils, as well as the Human Capital Analytics Institute Senior Fellow shaping the research agenda of the Conference Board. She offers a unique blend of expertise in her latest co-authored book, "Humans at Work: The Art and Practice of Creating the Hybrid Workplace." If you enjoy the show, please rate it on Spotify or iTunes. Your ratings help more people like you discover the podcast! Episode Highlights Insights on technology's immediate impact in today's work environment. Strategies for effective, real-time workplace measurements. Tips on reducing workplace friction to boost productivity and well-being. Understanding the importance of everyday moments in employee retention. Recognizing the power of addressing small, individual workplace challenges. Balancing employee privacy with organizational needs. Redesigning workspaces for mental health and improved focus. Stela's view on the greatest unmet wellbeing need at work today “From a well-being perspective, [it's] the need to interact with an organization that is not designed to work around us. We look at the technology stack as something that IT managers manage, and it's all about cost containment and making it secure. And that comes at a cost of a lot of compliance training, not to say that none of that is necessary; it's very important. But it's more compliance-driven than experience-driven. When we think about the physical workspace, it's again designed to minimize the costs and maximize the number of people that can fit within a square foot. And not necessarily designed to have the environment work around us for what we need, whether we have a permanent or temporary disability, whether we need quiet space at that specific time of the day. And with the combination of both digital world and physical world, we increasingly live in that in-between, regardless of what work you do, there's bound to be technology involved. So, redesigning that experience, to allow us to seamlessly move through it without having context switching and friction points and forgotten passwords, inaccessible devices, will reduce the mental health impact, mental taxing in dramatic ways and really leave space for us to do the focused work or whatever it is that makes sense for us as humans at that time.” What "working with humans" means to Stela “It is about creating the environment where people can truly maximize their human potential at work. I don't believe that there are bad people for jobs. I don't believe there are bad jobs for people; I believe there's a mismatch. So, the more we can think through the lens of what are the superpowers of this individual, or what are the superpowers they would like to have, and how we can create that environment for them to thrive? I think that's when organizations succeed. That's when individuals are loyal and bring their full potential. That's when the economy benefits, and that's when families at home benefit as well. So, it's a net positive.” Resources Follow: Stela on LinkedIn Read: Humans at Work: The Art and Practice of Creating the Hybrid Workplace For more episodes that give you fresh perspectives and actionable ideas for making working with other humans better for everyone, visit our website at https://en.peoplefocusconsulting.com/resources/podcast/ ©Michael Glazer
In this weeks episode I chat with two fellow gardeners Stela & Julie-Anne all about, The Best Christmas Gifts For Gardeners. Having covered this episode before on Master My Garden podcast John was delighted to be joined by the ladies and to hear the types of gifts on their lists suitable for gardeners. One of the overriding themes from all was to buy quality gifts that would stand the test of time and focus on sustainable gifts for the garden. Included on the lists were lots of really interesting gifts such as: Felco secateurs Gardening clothing such as beautiful and practical aprons. Hats to protect from sun and gloves designed for specific tasks. A pass to every open garden in Ireland was Julie-Anne's "money no object gift" while Stela opted for a beautiful glasshouse. Both would love plants or seed but only if they offered a special connection such as snowdrop's which remind Julie Anne of her grandmother and Stela who has a beautiful rose which was gift from a family member who visited after covid having not seen each other for some time. Garden seeds were high on the lists but again should also only be gifted with a little insight into the person who will receive. Also supporting local seed companies was very important for us all. Gardening courses both in person and online were something both would like and many courses and providers were mentioned. John also mentioned his first online course to go live which is his "Grow Your Own Food Course" which teaches people to grow their own food from scratch. You can find out more here https://mastermygarden.com/courses-2/These are just some of the superb gifts on the lists. Our special guests, Stela and Julie-Anne, are here to guide you through a wonderland of gardening delights - from practical tools to comfortable attire. It's time to ditch the gift cards and surprise your gardening-obsessed loved ones with something they'll really appreciate!I hope wherever you are gardening that you find some of these super gifts under your Christmas tree this year.
For as long as work has existed, new technologies have been a double edged sword for the workforce, making some jobs easier to do and making others obsolete. With data collection, computer processing, automation, and generative AI being implemented daily within our workforce, this issue has never been more apparent than today. Educators and authors Dr. Anna Tavis and Stela Lupushor are at the forefront of the fight for human capital, to make sure that technology is set to enhance the worker experience, not to replace it. Dr. Anna Tavis is Clinical Professor and Academic Director of Human Capital Management Department at NYU School of Professional Studies, Senior Fellow with the Conference Board, and the Academic in Residence with Executive Networks. She is a former Executive Editor of People+Strategy Journal, a publication of SHRM's Executive network and is currently an Associate Editor of Workforce Solutions Review of IHRIM. Stela Lupushor is an Adjunct Faculty Adjunct Faculty at the NYU School of Professional Studies. She is also a Senior Fellow in Human Capital Center and the Program Director for The Conference Board Strategic Workforce Planning Council, and leads Reframe.Work Inc. where she consults on how to create inclusive workplaces through the use of technology, human-centered design, people analytics, and future-thinking. We had the pleasure of interviewing Stela Cole over Zoom video.Singer/songwriter Stela Cole recently released her anthemic new single "Rhapsody In Pink" via Ultra Records. An audacious pop-come-hiphop interpolation of Gershwin's "Rhapsody In Blue," the track is all about knowing your self-worth and truly solidifies Stela as one to watch as it spotlights her incredible versatility and fearless authenticity. Check out the music video for "Rhapsody In Pink" https://youtu.be/e7f5-AjjbdQ Explosive, elegant, and irresistibly larger-than-life, Stela's music radiates the kind of unbridled confidence that leaves a long-lasting impact. The bold energy of her immaculately composed pop comes from years of fighting for her vision and refusing to compromise the elaborate depth of her artistry and she is now set to deliver her most extravagantly realized music yet beginning with “Rhapsody In Pink.” The track landed Stela on the cover of Filtr US' Up Next playlist in addition to support on their On Fleek and Pop Matters playlists and was featured on Spotify's New Music Friday in 9 different countries. "Rhapsody In Pink" is Stela's latest single and the first since performing on NBC's American Song Contest earlier this year where she represented the state of Georgia and broke the show's season record for week 1 streaming with break-up single "DIY," co-written by Tele (Lizzo's “Truth Hurts”). Building an audience that has grown with her every step of the way, throughout her career she has released two EPs [Throwing Up Butterflies (2018), Woman Of The Hour (2020)] and a string of independent releases including hit single "I Shot Cupid," the raw and rapturous "You F O," and the sultry "Love Like Mine," racking up over 80 million global streams and support from the likes of Refinery29, HuffPost, PopDust, Just Jared, and Digital Journal among others. We want to hear from you!
