Suj and James review all the football from Gameweek 18 that included a hat-trick for Kevin Schade against Bournemouth side who look wide open away from home, but it was a largely forgettable week for many FPL managers and now there are injury concerns for many defensive assets. Bournemouth now travel to Chelsea and that could make a move to Cole Palmer appealing but there's caution offered on Chelsea assets following their defeat to Aston Villa who themselves kept themselves in contention at the top ahead of tomorrow's big game at The Emirates. Arsenal won again, but there's now doubts around Jurrien Timber and Ricardo Calafiori, but Gabriel is back and many FPL managers will be seeking a quick resolution to restore The Gunners defender to their teams. Manchester City won too but the majority of well owned assets blanked. Their Manchester rivals United have some appealing assets ahead of playing bottom side Wolves, with defensive assets and Matheus Cunha like to be popular short term picks. They beat Newcastle who may also appeal but aren't in good form. West Ham lost again. But Tottenham won . Suj isn't blind to The Hammers increasingly precarious plight, but neither is James to Tottenham's win at Palace. And Dominic Calvert-Lewin can't stop scoring! In this episode we look back at Saturday's 2-1 win over Brighton which sent Arsenal back to the top of the Premier League. We chat about how the game made us feel, with a single goal lead feeling very precarious in the final stages, and we try and unpack the reasons why that is right now. Then we get into the game itself, the dominant first half performance, Martin Odegaard's goal and other chances to score, before we turn our attention to the second half, extending the lead, conceding a goal, and David Raya's incredible save to keep it 2-1. The first half finishes with reflections on our league position, and not being entirely convincing but still winning, and then in part two we answer listener questions about the striker situation, Gabriel's return, Mikel Arteta's substitutions, Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke's playing time, and loads more.Get extra bonus content and help support Arseblog by becoming an Arseblog Member on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/arseblo Hosted on Acast. Dharmesh Sheth is joined by Mark Ogden, John Cross and Jason Burt to reflect on the weekend's sporting action. We start with Arsenal's hard-fought 2-1 victory over Brighton, sealed by a stunning David Raya save, that kept them top of the league. But are Arsenal beginning to feel the pressure? The focus then shifts to The Ashes, where England finally claimed a Test win in Australia—but John believes it was a hollow victory played out on a dreadful pitch.Next up is Aston Villa's superb run of eleven consecutive wins. A 2–1 victory at Stamford Bridge has moved them to within three points of league leaders Arsenal—but with Unai Emery's side consistently outperforming their xG, can they keep this run going? Finally, we turn to Liverpool's 2–1 victory over bottom-of-the-table Wolves. With his first league goal of the season, we ask: has the real Florian Wirtz arrived in the Premier League?Sunday Supplement is a Sky Sports podcast.
