In this episode, we talk about the issues fans have with the FIA and F1 in light of the Susie Wolff and Mohammed Ben Sulayem news. We also talk about the Australian GP and Williams' decision to ground Logan Sergeant this weekend in favor of Alex Albon. If Formula 1 is the “pinnacle of motorsport” then how is it acceptable for teams to be so unprepared by not having critical components such as spare chassis? Perhaps, instead of pushing the issues with the spending cap, the series focus its attention on mandating a spending floor. On this episode of Nailing the Apex, Carlos Sainz will be back behind the wheel of the SF-24 for this weekend, how tough has his recovery from appendicitis been, and will he be fit enough to do a full Grand Prix distance on a street circuit (1:20). Red Bull will always be the favorite coming into every race this season, but Ferrari's SF-24 seems far more competitive than what it was in 2023, and there are some who believe that the Scuderia can catch RBR and put pressure on them later this season (9:03). It's a jam packed mid-field. RB is not as competitive as a lot of us thought they would be to start the season, why is that (15:55). On Wednesday Susie Wolff announced that she has taken legal action against the FIA following their conflict of interest inquiry into her back at the end of 2023 (19:28). Nico Hulkenberg has said that Ollie Bearman's Saudi Arabian Grand Prix F1 debut will be “forgotten” if he is not able to perform in F2. Is he right. There were unsportsmanlike accusations against Kevin Magnussen for what he did during the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, was he playing tough defense to get his team the last point, or was he being unsportsmanlike. J of WPP and Tasha host of the QSTF! Saturday show discuss some hot things happening in Formula 1. The FIA have decided to take a shot at the Queen of Mercedes, Susie Wolff and it doesn't go well. Logan Sargeant gets another shot at his Formula 1 career and it could go more south than the Florida tip. Tasha ranks three teams for 2024 and gives an explanation for their performance to come.
This week our hosts are ashamed to admit that at every race start we hoped SOMEONE would crash into Max and force him to retire the car. Not to cause him any personal injury mind you, just to give us an interesting race for once! Perhaps with Lewis getting a win? We were ok with Alonso, that dumb-dumb-boy Lando, or even Lance Stroll, ANYONE besides the Dutch menace. We watched Charles get crushed by the weight of his own expectations, Yuki come to life in a garbage car, and even the bittersweet return of Daniel Ricciardo. Erin and Brennan break down their feelings for each team and driver, hate on Las Vegas (duh), and give their predictions for the future of F1. Don't mess with Susie Wolff, she's the best!

From the age of 8, Susie Wolff dreamed of making it in motorsport. Formula 1 was her goal. In 2014 she got her chance – driving for Williams in Free Practice at the British Grand Prix, becoming the first woman to drive in an official F1 session for more than two decades. She tells Tom Clarkson how she earned her F1 opportunity through making life-changing decisions and dedication to her dream. She proved her speed in karting, where she raced Lewis Hamilton, in Germany's DTM touring car championship with Mercedes and in several F1 runs with Williams. Today, Susie is pushing to create opportunities for women who want to follow her path, and has valuable insight and advice to share. She's also a leader, as CEO of the front-running Venturi Formula E team, and she lives the highs and lows of the Mercedes Formula 1 team through husband Toto.
