Tim Morgan has been on the tournament angleing scene for a very long time and has a very successful track record to show for it. When he's not fishing tournaments his role as Product Manager at Rapala Australia ensures he's well across developments in the tackle industry that can give him a serious edge. In today's interview, ALF resident bream fancier Andrew Death chats with Tim about his bream on lures experience and gets into some seriously cool tips. Full show notes for today's episode are available at https://doclures.com/tim-the-bream Don't forget, for pro tips and hacks, members-only tackle deals and plenty more, support the ALF podcast by joining TeamDoc Lures at https://team.doclures.com
This is was another great round from the Abt Daiwa bream series. With six angler interveiws over two parts, this is one not to be missed. This round was sponsored by Rapala, and marks the recent lauch of the Crush City range of soft plastics designed and developed in Australia. Each angler was given a mix of different soft plastics at the briefing on Friday night. Tune in to see how this affected the results! First up we have Jordan Armstrong who placed third in the Non - boater division. I must say it was an absolute pleasure to speak with Jordan. Jordan was paired up whith two awesome boaters. On day one , he fished with Steve Wilson and was able to to catch his three fish many times over. Then on day two he was paired with Anthony Wishey. I spoke with Jordan at length about fishing with Anthony and I was so impressed by what Jordan had to say, I recorded an angler interview with Anthony that will be aired on The Australian Lure Fishing Podcast tomorrow. Make sure you listen in to hear what Jordan has to say. If you are on the fence about fishing an ABT round, this may push you over the edge. Next up I spoke with Joel Mckenzie. While Joel has not been on The Bream Fishing Project previously, he has been mentioned before. Back in episode 22, I spoke with the non - boater winner Lance Marsh who is Joels father in-law. If you have not heard this interview I encourage you to go back and have a listen. The other interesting thing about this round is that Lance and Joel were paried with the same boaters. Joel had Tim Morgan on Saturday and Mick Horn on Sunday. Lance had Mick Horn on Saturday and Tim Morgan on Sunday. For anyone who doesn't know, both Mick And Tim work for Rapala who sponsored the round. In his interview Joel run through the lures and techniques he used to fill his bags. He also spoke about the how the sounder helped them to locate bream. Then in first place in the Non - Boater division we have Peter Clark. This was another great interview. As you will hear in the interview , Peter travelled up to the Gold Coast, with his mate Andrew Stubbs to try and secure a top ten finish and secure a spot in the Grand Final. He did better than that, he won the event. If you tune in an d listen through to Peters inteview, you will hear how he channelled some sponsor karma using one of the new Rapala lure he was give at the briefing. Peter did eventually need a couple more lures and Tim The Bream Morgan came to the rescue with a few extra soft plastics. I did read a comment from Tim saying that Peter had showed him that these particular lures worked well on bream. Next week we will have Part 2. This was a special win, and is not to be missed

In 2017, frustrated with security, policy and regulatory/compliance tools that did little to actually help reduce risk, co-founders James Dirksen and Tim Morgan set out to create a product that would provide a comprehensive picture of an organization's threat landscape. It had to be quick, efficient and accurate, and make it easy to communicate risk to regulators, auditors and non-technical executives.

Everyone in stock car racing dreams of being on a Daytona 500-winning team, but how about three wins in five years? For Tony Glover, that dream became reality in the early 1990s, and on this week's episode of The Dale Jr. Download, he joins Dale Earnhardt Jr. and co-host Mike Davis to discuss the pieces of the puzzle that made it possible.Glover has been a part of racing his entire life. He attended his first race at three weeks old. Tony recalls his earliest memory in racing, which consisted of his father Gene flying out of Cleveland Speedway in Tennessee. The trauma of seeing his father's crash did little to deter his love for the sport though, and by his teenage years, Tony was cleaning parts and turning wrenches. After spending many years on the road crew chiefing for his father's late model program, which yielded the 1979 NASCAR Sportsman National Championship, Tony accepted a position at Petty Enterprises. Tony explains that the year he spent in Level Cross, North Carolina was the equivalent of a four-year college education. But, when his grandmother became ill in ‘83, he decided to move closer to home to spend time with her. As fate would have it, Larry McClure and Tim Morgan had just bought out G.C. Spencer and established their Morgan-McClure outfit in nearby Abingdon, Virginia and Tony was hired to work as part of the pit crew. Tony shares the story of how he became a crew chief for the team when Spencer, who had stayed on in the chiefing role, quit suddenly during the teching process at an event at Nashville Fairgrounds. This bumped Tony into the position and he remained there for the duration of his time with the outfit. They discuss the revolving roster of drivers Morgan-McClure had during the ‘80s, which included Lennie Pond, Tommy Ellis, Joe Ruttman and Rick Wilson. Tony explains that when Rick departed for RahMoc after ‘89, his choice to fill the seat was the hard charging Ernie Irvan. And while Phil Parsons would start the ‘90 season in the cockpit, after a few failed outings Irvan would eventually get the seat and help put Morgan-McClure on the map.The Irvan-Glover combination was quite successful, bringing home seven Cup wins including the ‘91 Daytona 500, but would only last a few seasons as Irvan would depart for Robert Yates in ‘93. His replacement was a driver Tony was well acquainted with from his years in the late model scene: fellow Tennessean Sterling Marlin. The new pairing won in their first outing, the ‘94 Daytona 500. When they followed up with a back-to-back triumph in the Great American Race in ‘95, they had the entire NASCAR garage looking in their direction. Dale and Tony get into some of the innovation on the plate-track cars in the Morgan-McClure stable. Tony talks about the revolutionary X-pipe exhaust system that was brought to them by Boyd Butler, better known as Dr. Gas. The story of how they kept the technical advantage a secret is incredible, including a non-disclosure agreement and wrapping the car in blankets in the garage. Ultimately a crash photo on the cover of Stock Car Racing Magazine leaked the guarded secret to the world. In ‘97, the desire to move up in rank and a little white lie from his wife convinced Tony to move on from Morgan-McClure and take a management position at SABCO Racing. Tony shares experiences from his years there. After a dismal season in 2011, Tony was released from the team and sought out a position at NASCAR through Mike Helton. In 2013, he became the overseeing technical director of NASCAR's many touring series, a role he continues to fill today. Welche Rolle spielte die Studie des Club of Rome 1972 und das Symposium on the Economics of Exhaustible Resources 1974. Dr. Kimberly Daniels and Tim Morgan join the Water Foresight Podcast to discuss Flooding and Future Scenarios. It's hurricane season and the Podcast is interested in learning about the future of flooding. Daniels and Morgan examined future scenarios of flooding in Houston, Texas, through the lenses of health, poverty, and equity. What are the tools and methodologies available to examine future flooding scenarios? What do the four future scenarios--continuation, collapse, new equilibrium, and transformation--present for the future of flooding in Houston? Are these scenarios possible, probable, or plausible? What policies can Houston-based organizations develop in response to these scenarios? What are the opportunities and risks presented by these scenarios? Are these scenarios transferable to other cities facing future flooding risks? The Podcast wants to know.#water #WaterForesight #strategicforesight #foresight #futures @Aqualaurus

Notable Quotes “I always tried to put myself in situations where I could try to be around a lot of bright people, and hopefully, a little smidgen of that might rub off on me.” “If you do things that make you uncomfortable or challenge your existing skillset, that's how you grow.” “I've also learned as time goes on, it's better as a CEO to express your opinion last, or else early on everybody's just kind of agreeing with what you're saying.” “Your point about these five years of building a foundation of roots for the bamboo to grow. I saw it all sprout right before my eyes, within a very short period.” “You're only able to propel yourself forward in an organization if you're exceeding expectations in the current role that you have.” Greg: “The harder I work, it seems the luckier I get.” “What I try to do as a leader now is that stay with a hundred percent positive reinforcement to the people that you lead, but also hold them accountable to the things that they've committed to.” “I'm a big proponent of asking employees to help us understand where they want to go, what they want to achieve, and then we can help them with the skillset and education if necessary to be successful in those roles.” On transitioning into a CEO role as an internal hire: “Nobody is going to accept you in your new role until you filled your prior role.” “There's an opportunity to not waste a good pandemic by reinforcing your organizational culture and values and how you treat people and how you want to treat people in a period of downturn. So, I think there's also a tremendous opportunity to reinforce the things that you think are most important in your organization.” “This is a competition against yourself and what you can achieve. And you can achieve things without them being at the expense of others.” Learn more about Greg Bell More than just a motivational speaker, Greg Bell is a Portland, Oregon based thought leader, business consultant, and leadership coach.
