One of the highlights of his time there was designing and leading a very distinctive module for their full-time MBA students, LeadershipPlus. In partnership with the school's career coaches and external consultants, the module was highly experiential, helping each student to explore who they are, to work collaboratively in a team, and to consider how they want to act as a manager and leader. He also worked on modules on Leadership, Management of Change, and Organisational Behaviour for students on WBS's Executive and Global Online MBA programmes. For seven years, he served as a Senior Tutor for half of the final year undergraduates at WBS. This involved supporting students who had mitigating circumstances – sadly, often mental health challenges – which affected their ability to study and complete assessments. He was also for eight years a personal tutor for Foundation Year students, supporting individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds to gain access to a WBS degree programme and hence to widen participation.Prior to joining WBS, he worked for nine years in the Learning & Development team at the University of Warwick. He created and ran the Warwick Leadership Programme for senior academics, administrators and managers. He also established the Warwick Administrative Management Programme for middle-ranking administrators and managers. He created a staff coaching and mentoring scheme, a competency framework and associated 360-degree feedback process, and a workplace mediation process. Before that, he worked in learning and development roles at British Gas, Transco and National Grid. He is accredited to use a number of psychometric tools and 360-degree feedback instruments, including MBTI and Spotlight. His first career was as an economist with British Steel and ICI.Connect with Bob:LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/bob-thomson-coach-supervisor/Connect with us here: Website:https://www.thecoachingcatalysts.comWork with us:Find out more about our supervision service here: http://bit.ly/coaching-collectiveFor ICF mentoring see here:
Investors sometimes ask us what induces us to sell a security. It's usually because relative valuation has made one stock more attractive than another. Williams Companies (WMB) is an example. The company holds a unique position in natural gas pipelines with its Transco network running along the eastern US. They have a heavily fee-based business, […]

FERC recently approved a request by Williams Companies to expand its Transco natural gas pipeline in New Jersey. As is usually the case, environmental extremists have been opposing this and other enhancements to the state's energy infrastructure even though Williams, a commercial enterprise, is presumably meeting increased demand for its services. I’m Logan, the 64th Gear Jammer Skeele. This is toy talk. I've got yet another review today. It's a DCP by First Gear, Freightliner Cascadia with dry van trailer for GP Transco. GP Transco was founded on June 28th, 2006 as GP Transportation Company in Darien, Illinois. It was founded by Gedas Poviliunas while he was still a college major in finance. He is the current president of the company. Today GP Transco is one of the fastest growing trucking companies in the industry. Their fleet consists of 400 tractors and over 550 dry van trailers. They keep the tractors no longer than three years and their fleet consists of Volvo, Peterbilt, and Freightliner trucks, just like the one that First Gear made. Their fleet provides transportation services to all 48 contiguous US States and to Canada. In 2018, GP Transco transported over 2.5 billion pounds of cargo while their trucks drove over 35 million miles. They did it while delivering over 25,000 loads. That’s impressive for a trucking company. Other companies under the GP Transco umbrella are OpenRoad TMS, GP Transco Logistics, and Truck RX. Now let's go on and look at this First Gear piece that they made in these beautiful colors. This is the DCP by First Gear, 2018 Freightliner Cascadia, the redesigned Cascadia, with 53’ dry van for GP Transco. This is a beautiful paint job for a fleet truck. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/logan-skeele/message

An underwater natural gas pipeline running from New Jersey into Rockaway, Queens is under review right now. The pipeline owner and operator Williams Transco declined come on-air to comment. We were happy however that Paul McCay, a spokesperson and researcher at Interstate Natural Gas Association of America, lent his voice on industry safety mechanisms and the reasons why pipelines are dependable and environmentally efficient. Noelle Picone of Surfrider Foundation returns to discuss why the pipeline is a safety hazard and a threat to the environment. This topic is relevant to us all: surfers, beach visitors and anybody who expects gas to come out of a stove or heat a boiler. This week, we spoke with Whitney about the Atlantic Coast Pipeline and the Mountain Valley Pipeline, two pipelines flowing through mid-Appalachian and the mid-Atlantic region on Turtle Island and both connect Transco pipeline in Pennsylvania County, VA. The pipelines are 48 inches in diameter and are made for transporting dangerous compressed and pressurized natural gas through many watersheds, towns and farmlands. In addition to fears of contamination of waterways and soil, through possible leaks and explosions, many people are concerned the pipeline will be carry gas for export , not even for domestic consumption. Whitney is also involved in an upcoming podcast series to inform folks in Virginia about the history and aspects of the pipelines to be released in the run-up to the decisions by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on whether or not these projects can move forward. As of now, there is no website address for our guest's podcast, but their podcast's mission statement is as follows: "'End of the Line' is a pre-recorded podcast created by local Richmonders, following the developing story of two proposed pipelines in Virginia - the Atlantic Coast Pipeline and the Mountain Valley Pipeline. Over the past year, the subject of fossil fuel "pipelines" has reached a high point of saturation in the national consciousness. While the nation watched major milestones unfold around the rejection of Keystone XL by President Obama and Standing Rock's struggle to protect water against the Dakota Access Pipeline in North Dakota, resistance to pipelines in Virginia has been building as well. Residents and landowners in mostly rural parts of the state have taken on an uphill battle to try and stop two high pressure natural gas pipelines from going through their land as well as some of Virginia's most treasured places. Featuring the voices of those directly affected by the proposed infrastructure, this ongoing series will examine every aspect of the local pipeline struggle, episode by episode, starting at the very beginning and working our way to the present. Through voices of those on the frontlines, we will touch on issues such as eminent domain, energy policy, industry influence on local politics, environmental impacts, and the mental health aspect of how residents are coping with this tremendous burden. Our goals are to provide listeners with the stories of Virginians who have been and are currently resisting both proposed natural gas pipelines and build a wider audience of people throughout our region who may not be familiar with all that has occurred since the summer of 2014 when the pipelines were first introduced. The built-in question we will be posing to listeners is the same many landowners are facing, "Are these pipelines a ‘done deal'?" To that end, as our episodes begin to meet up in real time with the decision-making process at state and federal levels, “End of the Line” will continue to report on developments as the pipeline saga unfolds". We will announce a website for this project as soon as we know! ----------------------- Other, regional upcoming events related to the ACP & MVP pipelines may consider attending include the following: Beyond Extreme Energy will be putting on a convergence in Washington DC from April 26-28th. BXE was a co-sponsor of the walk across NC areas that may be affected by the proposed Mountain Valley Pipeline. More info on the conference and other stuff by BXE can be found at http://beyondextremeenergy.org Delaware River Keepers have compiled "People's Dossiers" on shortcomings of studies in the economic and environmental harms of the ACP & MVP by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission or FERC. http://www.delawareriverkeeper.org/ongoing-issues/peoples-dossier-ferc-abuses-economic-harms Another site of interest worth check out is http://www.apppl.org for the Alliance of People to Protect the Places we Live.
