Peter's mother passed when he was 7 and his father passed when he was 17. His resulting fear of loss, especially in relationships, was triggered by his first romantic relationship ending. Peter faced many sleepless nights worried about his future until one night he realized the answer to all his concerns was to be found in three words: I don't know. In that instance, he realized that the nature of life is uncertainty. He went on to explore how the mind influences our lives through his work with professional athletes and sports teams, entertainers, and global organizations. Peter is a writer, speaker, and thought leader in human awakening and potential. Peter Crone, the "mind architect," works with everyone from world-class athletes to stay-at-home parents to redesign the subconscious mind. We exist within limiting mental constructs that dictate our thoughts, feelings, actions, and the results we experience. Peter helps people and groups step outside of the world as they know it by identifying mental constructs that have been holding them back. Peter's work explores the fundamental issues that affect us all to foster a deeper understanding of our common humanity. Everything is energy. E-motions are energy in motion. But what happens when that energy is stuck, clogged up, blocked? What do you do about that? For me the intention is to live the best version of me, that means fulfilled, spent, expanded, like I did it right and I got it. Victimizing myself does not empower me. Living my truth empowers me. Listen to this episode as we navigate together through my mini-journey back into healing.

We talk to Efren P Deleon who owns and operates two businesses popular with Asian Americans from the Philippines, Amazing Grace, a resturant and backery as well as small grocery store near 69th and Roosevelt Ave in Woodside. Efren and his staff were among the very few Filipino businesses who remained open during the pandemic and served the community often helping in ways only a provider of food and spot to meet could amidst all the requirements and hardships. But his business has seen a rise in crime. A wave of it hitting near and around his business. First we listen to Senators Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio on the next wave of migrants along with Iowa Senator Joni Ernst whoi describe the wave to come with as many as 3 million illegal border crossers of which some two million will seek asylum in obvious abuse of a system designed to create chaos across the USA. The Tsunami at the US Border of migrants both classic illegal border crossers, and asylum seekers who many say will hit two million arrivals soon are all economic refugees. Then there are the purely cartel related called 'got-a'ways' who have no intention to legalize their status. The Tidal Wave, has hit hard in NYC, crime statistics are through the roof, is causing a flood of crime in New York City. Many Migrants who are working off debts to cartels come to the city - some who have been here before are using the current flood to cash in working criminal gangs and political organizations, Not really much difference some might say? With a goal to change the Big Apple rotten til its core. In the Borough of Queens, one of the hardest hit by the pandemic in the #USA where small businesses like stores and restaurants as well as laundrys and groceries all say a double wave of poverty and crime has hit the Woodside area very hard. Part of the that wave is caused Warren Wilhem Jr. aka Bill De Blasio, yeah that's Mayor has two names by cops who no longer respond on orders of Bill De Blasio's, real name again at birth was Warren Wilhem Jr. who has become some allege the defacto protector of criminal gangs. How? By his role in defunding police and also with his turning away from any effort to stamp out crime. All that has been created is a Nirvana of abuse of a community long in need of real leadership and enforcement of laws. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/mike-k-cohen/support

Sloane Stephens was bounced in the third round of the US Open on Friday. Instead of simply taking the loss and moving on...Sloane Stephens used this as an opportunity to victimize herself by sharing hateful messages she received on social media. We share some of the messages Sloane Stephens received...and explain how it's wrong and unfair for complete strangers to abuse athletes. However...right or wrong...this is also part of being a public figure. We also explain how victimization with athletes always happens after losing...not winning. We compare Sloane Stephens to Naomi Osaka...Gwen Berry...and others who have chosen to play the victim after embarrassing losses.

If you ask me how I am doing? I am standing next to many of my brother and sisters with a shovel in our hand ready to bury our next brother or sister. As victims and survivors try to go on with our daily lives we can experience triggers that can cause re-victimization. Lost of sleep, nightmare, lost of appetite and more. It can also make us so angry we can become abusers. lets support each other. On April 20, 2021 a cold hearted white former police officer I do not want to say his name. In today's Mormon Stories Podcast episode legendary Utah journalist and investigator Lynn Packer discusses his recent investigation into possible fraud perpetrated by Utah Mormon Tim Ballard and Utah Mormon Attorney General Sean Reyes - as part of Operation Underground Railroad (OUR), which has raised over $30 million claiming to rescue children from sex trafficking. Packer has raised concerns about Tim Ballard and Sean Reyes being involved in the following: - Stockpiling $30M in donations that are not being used to save children. - Excessive compensation to Tim Ballard (over $300k/year). - Unethical accounting that now is likely hiding Tim Ballard's total compensation. - Lavish expenditures (e.g., first class flights, 5 star hotels, dramatic helicopter appearances) with no financial accountability about how funds are used. - Using false statistics to over-state the prevalence of child sex trafficking worldwide to lure donors. - Using excessive emotion and religious manipulation to lure donors, including claims to be called of God, and to be protected by God in OUR's work. - Using affinity with Mormon celebrities like Mormon apostle M. Russell Ballard, Glenn Beck, and Elizabeth/Ed Smart to lure donors. - Claiming credit for raids that they were not involved with. - Engaging in illegal and unsafe raids (jump teams) that often yield no positive results. - Alleged unsavory behavior of jump team members, including illegal drug use during raids, sexual assault, etc. - Drawing money and attention away from legitimate charities who are meaningfully providing solutions to the problems OUR decries. - Victimizing and politicizing the suffering of children for political gain (Sean Reyes). - Associating with and taking advantage of known false conspiracy theories like QAnon. - Using the LDS Church's law firm (Kirton & McConkie) to intimidate and silence whistleblowers. - In summary, manipulating wealthy donors through religious and patriotic emotion and misusing or misallocating funds, all on the backs of a very vulnerable population. Lynn Packer is best know for accurately exposing Mormon General Authority Paul H. Dunn for lying to Mormon church members about made-up World War II heroics and about playing professional baseball, all of which led to Elder Dunn being prematurely fired as a General Authority (and which the Mormon church tried to cover up through intimidation). Please join us if you have comments or questions for Lynn. NOTE: This podcast is not asserting that any of these allegations are true. Only that Lynn is claiming to have gathered evidence in support of these positions.

Self victimizing...or is it? In this episode I share thoughts on what it means for me to unpack our truths involving trauma. Recorded after speaking on some long held on hurt with my own step mother and father, including addiction and dysfunction through my childhood. Whether your emotional trauma is a spill over from a birth experience, a relationship, childhood, or other-speaking on, releasing, and beginning to appropriately place our emotions is how we can reclaim our inner peace as power. It is how we begin to move through codependency behaviors, playing small, and begin owning our healing from. Later in the episode I share what it means to cut energetic cords and then offer a quick, simple, yet beautifully meaningful way of severing cords of attachment, that often lock us into toxic interactions. There are people all around us who are suffering silently because their children have either been sexually abused by another child, or are doing the abusing. This is a subject that requires very real empathy for everyone involved. No one wants to talk about this growing problem because there is so much shame and stigma and hopelessness attached to it. I hope this episode changes that.

What exactly IS victim mentality? Do you have it, do I? What is the definition of a victim? On this week's Coming Up for Air podcast, Laurie and Annie compare experiences of family and friendship that involved injury, disappointment and opportunities to stay down on the low road and wallow. Those along with experiences with a Loved One's struggle with SUD that are not personal, planned out attacks can tempt a person to feel defeated and suffer longer than we have to. One might get thrown under the bus, but we don't have to lay under it forever. We hope you will enjoy to this week's podcast conversation! As fallout from the subprime lending crisis continues a number of remedies have been proposed to deal with it. One is legislation to curtail predatory lending which is generally thought to be a factor behind the issuing of so many subprime loans to borrowers with poor credit. What qualifies as predatory lending? And what are the conditions that make it flourish? Wharton finance professors David Musto Philip Bond and Bilge Yilmaz analyze predatory lending in a new paper titled ”Predatory Lending in a Rational World.” See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
