William C. Dear - O.J. is Innocent and I Can Prove It May 1, 2024The shocking truth about the murders of Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman.Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman were brutally murdered at Nicole's home on Bundy Drive in Brentwood, California, on the night of June 12, 1994. The weeks and months that followed were full of spectacle, including a much-watched car chase and the eventual arrest of O. J. Simpson for the murders. The televised trial that followed was unlike any that the nation had ever seen. Long convinced of O. J.'s guilt, the world was shocked when the jury of the "trial of the century" read the verdict of not guilty. To this day, the LAPD, Los Angeles District Attorney's office, mainstream media, and much of the world at large remain firmly convinced that O. J. Simpson literally got away with murder. According to private investigator William Dear, it is precisely this assuredness that has led both the police and public to overlook a far more likely suspect. Dear now compiles more than 16 years of investigation by his team of forensic experts and presents evidence that O. J. was not the killer.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-opperman-report--1198501/support.

Dungeon Masters takes a behind-the-curtain look into the world of Dungeons & Dragons, told through the lenses of the creator of the game, Gary Gygax, played by Wil Wheaton and of private investigator, William Dear, played by Jon Hamm, a swashbuckling tough guy in 1979. Gygax guides the audience through this incredible true story as our Dungeon Master, as we follow Dear on his quest to find Dallas Egbert, a Michigan State student, who supposedly disappeared in the steam tunnels under his University while enacting a real-life version of D&D. What Dear encounters on this journey and ultimately discovers, defies all expectations, and changes the culture as we know it. Written by award-winning journalist and author, David Kushner, based on his interviews with Gary Gygax, his research and writing about Dungeons & Dragons (RISE OF THE DUNGEON MASTER), and the missing person case which inadvertently made the game (in)famous. Produced by Jon Hamm, Temple Hill and QCODE. William C. Dear - O.J. is Innocent and I Can Prove ItMay 10The shocking truth about the murders of Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman.Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman were brutally murdered at Nicole's home on Bundy Drive in Brentwood, California, on the night of June 12, 1994. J. was not the killer.Audio BookBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-opperman-report--1198501/support.
If you're like most people, you likely believe OJ Simpson killed Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman. Private Investigator, William Dear, worked on the OJ case for seventeen years, and he found strong evidence that OJ is innocent, and someone very close to OJ committed the murders. Judge for yourself. Phil M. Williams narrates. If you'd like to hear more stories from Phil M. Williams, his novels can be found here: https://philwbooks.com/ Sources: Dear, William C. OJ is Innocent (Skyhorse Publishing, 2012)
It's a heated episode today as a seemingly harmless baseball movie about a well-meaning child zealot and his friend Tony Danza sparks a debate about faith, the foster system, and the perils of league expansion and realignment. Don't believe me, non-believer? It could happen... especially in 1994's Angels in the Outfield! Featuring Shrishma Naik, Carolyn Naoroz, and Justin Zeppa. Angels in the Outfield was directed by William Dear and stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Danny Glover. We appreciate your support, so please subscribe, rate, review, and follow the show: YouTube: youtube.com/@oldmovietimemachineInstagram: @timemachinepodcasts Facebook: facebook.com/oldmovietimemachine Email: partyline@oldmovietimemachine.com Buy our luxurious merchandise: www.teepublic.com/user/old-movie-time-machine ★ Support this podcast on Patreon ★

We're hopping on a motorcycle with a built-in 8-track player and getting zapped back the wild west for this Patreon's choice episode! Timerider (1982) stars Fred Ward as the lovable if slightly clueless motorcross racer, Lyle Swann, who finds himself transported back in time to 1877, where he falls in love with the fearless Claire (Belinda Bauer) and attracts the unwanted attention of ruthless bandit Reese (Peter Coyote). Directed by Harry and the Hendersons helmer William Dear, and co-written and produced with Michael Nesmith of The Monkees (who also provides a rocking 80s score), it's a notable precursor to a much more successful time travel adventure comedy that would emerge just 3 years later – and is alarmingly similar to one of its sequels! But, does it deserve greater recognition or should it be lost to the mists of time? Find out! Follow us on Tiktok, Facebook, Instagram and maybe what's left of Twitter, if it's still functioning. Welcome back to another episode of the GGtMC!!! This week we pay tribute to Fred Ward with a discussion of Timerider: The Adventure of Lyle Swann (1982) directed by William Dear!!! Emails to midnitecinema@gmail.com Adios!!! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/ggtmc/message
When we sat down to record episode 207, we just wanted to talk about Fred Ward and how much we love him in everything! Several days after recording, the world learned that he had passed away, and we were left with an episode where we talk at length about him, not knowing what was to come. So, please think of this episode as a memoriam for a great actor who was great in every film he was in, with a wonderful smile and a tendency to outshine anyone he was acting beside. What a legend, and what an incredible body of solid work!We start the show off by talking about the 1982 movie "Timerider: The Adventure of Lyle Swann" from director William Dear. Featuring some fairly dark moments for a PG-rated film, it's a fun little diversion with a strong supporting cast including Peter Coyote as the villain. We follow that up with a masterpiece from 1990 called "Miami Blues" from George Armitage. Costarring Jennifer Jason Leigh and Alec Baldwin, it is a very unique blend of comedy, drama, police procedural and character study. This one should NOT be missed! We then proceed to list the various things we've been watching for fun. Please let us know what you thought of the show, and send us some suggestions for future episodes. You can email us at flickersfrom@yahoo.com or flickersfrom@gmail.com. You can also reach us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

This week, the guys welcome back Steve and Izzy of Everything I Learned from Movies to talk about the Richard Grieco-led spy flick - If Looks Could Kill. Is this movie basically Never Too Young to Die or is it... better? Did Linda Hunt's character murder Wonder Woman for her gold whip? Wouldn't you know before going to your own graduation that you failed high school? Was the villain's evil plan to create something that is a real benign thing today? We're entering in the summer blockbuster season of 1987 and that means it's time for some nice, wholesome family entertainment in the form of Harry and the Hendersons. Released June 5th of '87, it's about a family who accidentally run into a Bigfoot. They then abduct him, take him home, name him Harry, and keep causing various hijinks to occur. It was actually way more of a normal kids movie than we expected! Join the Bad Porridge Club on Patreon for TWO bonus episodes each month! https://www.patreon.com/oldiebutagoodiepod Follow the show! Bigfoot is real, and he loves TV! Head into the woods with the Ramblin Boys as they welcome Petros from the Caged In and Coppola Connections (@cagedinpod) podcasts to discuss William Dear's bigfoot family comedy, ‘Harry and the Hendersons', produced by Amblin Entertainment in 1987. Listen as they gawk over great Rick Baker effects, be puzzled by a Purge-esque narrative detour, and consider the shadow of a three-foot ET that weighs heavy over the proceedings. The gang also put Harry's seemingly innocent and cuddly demeanor on trial, once and for all. Follow the podcast on Twitter (@RamblinAmblin) and be sure to subscribe so you don't miss an episode! Get in touch with us either via Twitter or email rambinaboutamblin@gmail.com. Make sure you follow Petros @cagedinpod and catch up with both Caged in and Coppola Connections. Ramblin is created and produced by Andrew Gaudion and Joshua Glenn. A special thanks as always to Emily Tatham for the artwork, and Robert J. Hunter & Greg Sheffield for the theme music.
When James Dallas Egbert III was reported missing from his college dorm - one of America's most flamboyant private detectives was summoned to solve the case. "Dallas" had many of the same problems that most teenagers face - but P.I. William Dear stoked fears that he might have fallen under the evil spell of a mysterious and sinister game.... Dungeons & Dragons. The global panic about the dangers the role-playing game posed to impressionable young minds may seem quaint 40 years on - but again and again we show how fearful we are of creative endeavours we don't quite understand. On this week's episode, the guys go back to school with the spectacularly ridiculous, high school spy comedy, If Looks Could Kill! Why doesn't Richard Grieco just sit these people down and explain the situation calmly? How often were they waxing his eyebrows on set? And how much of this film was stolen by later Bond films—or was it the other way around? PLUS: A big bit of information about our L.A. Podfest appearance! If Looks Could Kill stars Richard Grieco, Roger Rees, Linda Hunt, Robin Bartlett, Gabrielle Anwar, and Roger Daltrey; directed by William Dear.
Within a year of D&D’s first release, the game became the biggest thing in the war gaming community. Not long after, the popularity of the game began to creep into the college world. College kids all over the world began forming clubs and entering the fantasy world of Dungeon and Dragons. What really propelled the game from an activity played by small groups of people to a name that would become familiar to everyone, whether they played it or not, was the unfortunate circumstances of a 16-year-old college student named James Dallas Egbert III. It was what happened to Egbert that began the belief in many that this fantasy roll-playing game was actually a promotion of such practices as Satanism, witchcraft, suicide, pornography, and murder.
