Send Cathy a text:)Ready for a fresh start? After more than 260 episodes and navigating through some deeply personal caregiving seasons, I've taken a much-needed pause to reimagine what this podcast can be for you. Now I'm back with renewed energy and a powerful focus: your wellbeing as a caregiver.Season One, "What's in Your Cup," is entirely about you—your health, identity, energy, and emotional wellbeing. Because here's the truth that often gets overlooked: caregiving is not just about what you give; it's about how you refill, protect, and care for your own cup. As Emma Hemming Willis wisely notes in her book "The Unexpected Journey, "Caregiving asks everything of us, yet somehow we must find ways to keep something for ourselves."   When nearly 60% of caregivers report their health worsening due to caregiving responsibilities, this conversation isn't just important—it's essential.Every Tuesday from October 7th through December 8th, 2025, you'll receive six core episodes filled with real talk, self-discovery tools, and practical strategies, plus bonus content including mini pep talks and journaling prompts between episodes. We'll kick off with "Refilled and Reimagined: What's in Your Cup Today," setting the foundation for your journey back to yourself. Whether you're new here or have been listening since day one, this season is your invitation to pause, breathe, and reconnect with what makes you whole. Because when you show up as your best self, you become a stronger caregiver, advocate, and healthier human being. Mark your calendar, grab your favorite drink, and let's rediscover what belongs in your cup—together.Support the show

Today on Your Cup of Joy, I'm welcoming back my dear friend, Marissa Teeter, executive coach, business advisor, and former senior wealth executive, for her second time on the show. Our last conversation was so rich that I knew we had to do it again, and this time we're diving deep into a topic that so many of us avoid: money.I'll be the first to admit that finances have always felt a little uncomfortable for me, and maybe you feel the same way. But in this episode, Marissa makes the topic approachable, empowering, and inspiring. We talk about why money is still such a taboo subject, how women can start building healthier relationships with it, and why open conversations are the key to creating more freedom and opportunity in our lives. Marissa shares practical advice on budgeting, saving, and negotiating, and she reminds us that financial well-being isn't just about investing, it's about aligning money with your values, relationships, and goals. We also dive into how we can model better money habits for our kids, the importance of generosity, and the power of women supporting women by sharing their financial experiences openly. Money touches every part of our lives and the more we talk about it, the more confident we all become. Please leave a review and pass this episode along to someone in your circle so we can keep building a community of women who lead with openness and confidence.Connect with Marissa:Website: https://www.marissateeter.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/marissa.m.teeterPodcast: https://www.instagram.com/teetertalksCheck out Marissa's previous episode on the podcast:   https://www.buzzsprout.com/2363173/episodes/16032671Ariana's Links:Website Instagram: @‌ArianaJoyChristie @YourCupofJoyPodcastTikTok: @‌ArianaChristie

The start of September always feels like a shift, and this year it's marked by big changes as I notice my kids step into new stages of independence. It's a mix of emotions, and today I'm reflecting on the start of this new season, from back-to-school routines, the surprising ways community has been showing up in my life, and the little rituals that remind me to keep filling my own cup, too. I share stories of our first real bus rides, the little but impactful ways neighbours have become friends, and how something as simple as baking with another mom turned into a joyful new ritual. I also dive into the gentle balance of routines, why they matter, how they've reshaped my days, and how they've given me space to rediscover the things I love doing and want to do more of. Think of this episode as your seasonal check-in, a reminder to slow down and notice the small, precious moments that often get lost in the chaos. Like me, you might find yourself needing the permission to step back and ask: what truly brings me joy and how can I choose more of it? Thank you so much for tuning in today. If this episode encouraged you, it would mean so much if you rated, reviewed, and subscribed to Your Cup of Joy. Ali unpacks how discovering our type can transform the way we lead, parent, and even love. Clutter isn't just physical, it's emotional. In today's episode of Your Cup of Joy, I'm joined by Britt Gaudio, professional organizer, decluttering coach, and the heart behind Well Nested Living, to explore what it really means to create a home that supports your nervous system, not just your to-do list. Get ready for a chat that goes far beyond tidying up. If your home has been feeling more overwhelming than grounding, this conversation will ease the pressure and remind you that the goal isn't perfection, it's creating a space that feels safe and supportive.Britt shares how burnout led her from the corporate world to entrepreneurship, and why supporting busy parents through clutter is about so much more than organization: it's about reclaiming peace, energy, and presence in your life. We talked about what clutter actually costs us, how overstimulation shows up in motherhood, and why a “perfectly tidy” home might not be the goal we truly need.Together, we explore how to let go of the emotional baggage tied to our belongings, the magic of 15-minute resets, and why it's okay, and even beautiful, to ask for help. Britt reminds me (and I hope she reminds you, too) that our homes are meant to be lived in, that we don't have to chase someone else's aesthetic to feel good in our space, and that letting go of the physical often helps us begin a new emotional chapter, too. This episode is your gentle permission slip to slow down, declutter with love, and consider that calling in support is one of the most powerful acts of self-care we can offer ourselves. As always, if this conversation resonated with you, please share it with someone who you think needs it. We talk about what no one tells you about extended feeding, how breast milk adapts to your baby's changing needs, and why listening to your intuition matters more than any online advice or cultural expectation. She also opens up about her own recent experience becoming a mom, and how it's transformed the way she supports other mothers through simplifying plans, embracing rest, and trusting that growth (in babies and in life) is never linear. This conversation is for every mama who's ever felt overwhelmed by conflicting advice, doubted her decisions, or just needed to be reminded that she is doing enough. Today I'm doing something I don't often do on Your Cup Of Joy, recording solo! I'm opening up about something I've never fully shared before: how I found my way back to myself. For years, I believed that being a good mom meant putting myself last. That selflessness somehow made me better. But what I learned the hard way is that losing yourself in motherhood isn't noble,it's painful.I'm sharing what postpartum really looked like for me and how, in the midst of all the rage and anxiety, I lost sight of who I was outside of motherhood. When I finally took a good look in the mirror, I barely recognized the person staring back at me. That moment became a turning point and the start of an intentional journey to reclaim my joy.I'll be getting into the shifts and mindset changes that slowly brought me back and helped me move out of survival mode. I'll touch on how through movement, food, community and choice, I started filling my own cup—not just for me, but for the people I love most. This episode isn't a weight loss guide (although I will be discussing my weight loss), but it's a reminder that self-care isn't selfish. That joy doesn't arrive all at once, and that even when it feels impossible, you can begin again. If this episode resonates, I'd love to hear from you. In this week's episode of Your Cup of Joy, I'm joined by educator, speaker, and author Andryanna Gonko, host of The Juggle is Real Podcast. A mom of three, she knows firsthand the weight of mom guilt, shame, and anxiety, especially when juggling perfection, never-ending to-do lists, and the pressure to do it all.She opens up about the moment she realized she was on the brink of burnout back in 2017: the warning signs she missed, the toll it took on her body and mind, and the wake-up call that finally made her say, enough is enough. We unpack the myths around hustle culture, the danger of “no pain, no gain” messaging, and the power of learning to say no.Now on a mission to help others recognize and recover from burnout, she shares the key lessons she's learned. From why self-care goes beyond the bubble bath, to how small daily shifts can help you reclaim your energy, and the essential first step if you're feeling overwhelmed. We also dive into her Authentic Self-Care Planner & Activity Book for Busy Women and the five pillars that serve as a reminder that your needs matter too.If you've ever felt like you're running on empty, this episode is your permission slip to slow down, give yourself grace, and start prioritizing yourself—without guilt. What's In Your Cup? #RTTBROS #Nightlight "What's in Your Cup? The Truth Spills Out!"Bible Verse: "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh." — Luke 6:45 (KJV)Imagine this: You're holding a cup of coffee, and someone bumps into you, causing the coffee to spill everywhere. Now, why did you spill the coffee? Most would say, "Because someone bumped me!" But the real reason? You spilled coffee because coffee was in your cup. If it had been tea, you would have spilled tea.The truth is, when life shakes us—through stress, trials, or unexpected challenges—whatever is inside us will come out. We might appear patient, kind, and joyful when everything is going smoothly, but when we are rattled, the reality of our heart condition is exposed. So, what's in your cup? When pressures rise, do you overflow with bitterness, anger, and frustration? Or does your life spill out kindness, gratitude, and faith? The good news is that we get to choose what fills our cup. Just as we intentionally pour coffee or tea into our mugs, we must also be intentional about what we pour into our hearts. The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:8 to think on things that are true, honest, just, pure, and lovely. When we fill ourselves with God's Word, prayer, gratitude, and love, those things will naturally spill out when life shakes us.Today, take a moment to reflect:Are you filling your heart with faith and positivity?Or are you unknowingly storing up resentment and negativity?Let's commit to filling our cups with joy, forgiveness, resilience, and love—so that when life shakes us, we spill the goodness of Christ everywhere we go!#WhatsInYourCup #FaithOverflow #SpillTheGood #FillUpWithJesusBe sure to Like, Share, Follow and subscribe it helps get the word out.https://linktr.ee/rttbros

Welcome to Connections Church Online! Pastor Rob Byker joins us with a message from Psalm 16, titled “Taking Christ as Your Portion and Your Cup.” Sometimes evangelists sharing Christ on the street will cry out, "Have you taken Christ as your personal Savior?" It's an unsettling question and a blunt approach. And yet, it is also a key question every heart must wrestle with. But there is second question every Christian must ask, "Have I taken Christ as my Portion and my Cup?" That's the question we will explore this morning. David says in Psalm 16:5 "LORD, you alone are my portion and my cup". This means David ranks the LORD as his top joy and his great hope. David's choice inspires his worship, informs his service and secures his heart amid the troubles and threats he faces. Every Christian who takes Christ as their Portion and Cup will experience a similar blessing. Visit our website: https://myconnections.church/

In today's discussion, I want to revisit an earlier episode, Episode #45, titled "What's in Your Cup?" In that episode, I explored the idea that as we journey through our daily lives, we carry within us a multitude of emotions and experiences. Some of what's inside us is fragile or delicate, while others are joyful or satisfying. However, there are moments when the contents of our internal cup spill out, often triggered by life's unexpected challenges. This phenomenon often leads to the typical expression heard in grief: "I don't know why I'm crying." I believe it's important to revisit this timeless concept, especially as we approach spring and upcoming holidays like Mother's Day and Father's Day, which can amplify feelings of grief. Whether you're hearing this analogy for the first time or could use a reminder, join me as we explore "What's in Your Cup" once more and discuss strategies for navigating difficult days ahead and beyond.
