This week on Disasters in the Making, Brad and Paul take on Champagne and Bullets, the 1993 indie action oddity also known as GetEven and Road to Revenge. Written, directed, produced by and starring John De Hart, with Wings Hauser, William Smith and Pamela Jean Bryant, this revenge thriller somehow mixes disgraced cops, corrupt judges, satanic cults, country singing, awkward romance and enough B-movie chaos to make the popcorn file a workplace complaint.

Mortal Kombat gets a second chance as the sequel to 2021's forgotten pandemic-era reboot attempts to right the wrongs of its predecessor. For one, thing, this Mortal Kombat actually has Mortal Kombat in it. We discuss the history of the franchise, the ills of the first film, and our split-down-the-middle opinion of the new sequel. Do we have another good video game adaptation in the books? Or is this one another one to chuck into the acid pits?

80's Action movie Draft is here, and this week Born to Watch flips the script with something completely different… and completely unhinged.Instead of breaking down a single film, the boys jump into a full snake draft to build the ultimate lineup of 80s action movies. It sounds simple. It absolutely is not.Whitey, Dan, Bones and DJ Glaz enter the draft with a clear plan… which lasts about 30 seconds.The rules are straightforward. Every pick must be an action movie released between 1980 and 1989. The draft runs snake style, meaning the order flips every round. You get limited time to make your pick, justify it, and then immediately deal with the fallout from everyone else.And there is plenty of fallout.From the opening pick, it's clear this isn't just about building the best list. It's about blocking each other, ruining strategies, and making sure no one else gets the movie they really want.There are early shocks, questionable decisions, and a few moments where you can feel the panic set in as certain films start disappearing off the board quicker than expected.What makes this episode work is the mix of chaos and nostalgia.As each round unfolds, the boys dive into what made 80s action so iconic. We just watched the original Sisu from 2022 and our minds are completely blown by this absolute rollercoaster of a film! Basil and Keo are here for a new Flix and Giggles review to break down this masterpiece that essentially drops a ruthless protagonist right into the middle of World War II. We talk about the insane cinematography, the incredible performance by Jorma Tommila as the unstoppable gold miner Aatami Korpi, and the sheer creativity of the incredibly brutal fight scenes. The man simply refuses to die, and the practical effects alongside his pure determination had us cheering at the screen the entire time. This film perfectly sets up a gritty, unforgiving world, and it is easily one of the most wild and satisfying movies we have covered on the channel, leaving us absolutely hyped and counting down the days until we can watch the sequel.
