In this week's edition of the Healthcare Experience Matters Podcast, we take an in-depth look at some of the (often overlooked) benefits of medical scribes and their positive impact on the patient experience. We are excited to welcome Dr. Christine Meyer, an internal medicine physician, back to our program for today's episode. This is the second appearance of Dr. Meyer on our weekly podcast series. In addition to her being a passionate advocate for driving excellent patient experiences, she is the founder of Christine Meyer, MD, and Associates (CMMD), a practice with over 20 providers, 20,000 patients, and two buildings in the Philadelphia metro region. As mentioned, in her previous podcast interview episode with us entitled, Driving Excellent Patient Experiences by Improving the Little Things, she attributes the success of CMMD to the emphasis her team has placed on ensuring a top-notch patient experience for everyone who walks in the door. The growth of CMMD is not because of traditional advertising or marketing campaigns, but due to the positive word-of-mouth generated by patients at her clinic. Medical Scribes in Primary Care *Research on the use of medical scribes in the primary care setting has linked medical scribes to heightened productivity and efficiency, elevated healthcare provider satisfaction, and, in numerous instances, increased levels of patient satisfaction. This sentiment is corroborated by the stories told by Dr. Meyer in today's podcast. She joined our show to shed light on the often-underestimated advantages of incorporating medical scribes into the clinical setting. Medical scribes at CMMD not only document patient visits in real-time but also serve as an extension of the clinician, allowing Dr. Meyer to maintain eye contact and enhance the overall patient-provider interaction in general. Medical Scribe Logistics The discussion touches on the logistical aspects of hiring medical scribes, revealing that CMMD often hires pre-med or medical students seeking valuable experience during a gap year. Dr. Meyer emphasizes the dual benefits of this arrangement as patients receive more personalized care and detailed post-visit summaries, while clinicians experience a significant reduction in workload and stress. The conversation extends to the unique relationships formed between patients and scribes, where patients of CMMD often reach out to scribes for clarification on post-visit instructions. Dr. Meyer acknowledges the costliness of implementing such a system but highlights its impact on both patient satisfaction and clinician efficiency. As the discussion unfolds, Dr. Meyer addresses the misconception that medical scribes must have a traditional medical or patient care background, revealing that individuals with diverse healthcare-related degrees, including healthcare business, can excel in the role. This insightful conversation explores the multifaceted benefits of medical scribes, showcasing how they elevate the patient's experience while gaining invaluable patient care knowledge inside the clinic. For any medical student or aspiring medical trainees in the eastern Pennsylvania region who may be interested, Dr. Meyer invites you to reach out and join her expanding team. Dr. Christine Meyer's negative experience working as an employed physician in poorly managed medical practices motivated her to become an independent doctor and launch her entrepreneurial career with her husband. The pair believed that they could provide better patient care through their own venture. “I think the movement towards value-based care in medicine has been tremendous and so enjoyable. I know a lot of people feel like it's a grind, and it's so hard to meet these metrics and earn these incentives. But what it has done for our practice is truly improve the quality of care that our patients receive,” Dr. Meyer says. In this episode of the Prosperous Doc®, host Shane Tenny, CFP®, welcomes Dr. Meyer to discuss the preservation of independent medical practices and the alarming changes in the medical landscape over the past decade, with many private practices disappearing or being acquired. In 2022, the American Medical Association found that wholly physician-owned practices had dropped from 60% a decade ago to just above 45%. Despite the challenges of running an independent practice, Dr. Meyer can attest to how rewarding it can be. In its early days, the practice was just her, two examining rooms, and a couple hundred patients. Today, her practice includes five physicians, 15 advanced practitioners, and a team of 55 with multiple buildings to support the more than 20,000 patients they are responsible for. “People probably think they need to have some sort of a business degree to run a successful medical practice, and you really don't,” Dr. Meyer says. “I think it goes back to the patient experience. If you're a physician and you went into medicine to provide patients with an excellent experience, you can run a successful medical practice.”

We are delighted to welcome Christine Meyer, a parishioner at the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola in New York City and a member of their Ignatian social justice committee. Christine came to visit Brownsville in January 2022 with other members of the parish, and the experiences of that visit transformed the group. She shares the ways that she has gotten involved locally in New York City with migrants arriving in the city and facing numerous obstacles as they get settled. As stories of migrants arriving in New York City have dominated the news recently, Christine offers insightful and moving reflections from her on-the-ground perspective, while lifting up the stories of some real heroes. Brian and Joe share stories of resilience in the midst of adversity. Joe talks about a food shortage at a shelter in Mexico and how he turned to his prayer squad for help. Brian shares the story of Alejandro, an older man from Venezuela, who was in a place of real despair. He needed a reminder of all the amazing ways God was working through him at the shelter, including his self-appointed role as photographer for every Mass! He might go a little overboard with the amount of photos and videos he takes, but there is no doubt that he has taken on the job with great pride.
Mange tror at bybane-striden skyldes bergenske kranglefanter.
Josh and Brian are joined by Dr. Christine Meyer and Casey Korba to discuss Hill Day and how to advocate for value-based care to legislators.

You've probably heard me say that medicine is a business. It takes work to run a successful business. There are good days and bad days. And, no matter how hard you try, like all business owners, you'll make mistakes. That's the truth. But with mistakes comes experience. The key to running a successful private medical practice, or any business for that matter, is to learn from missteps. Ideally you learn how to grow from other people's mistakes rather than have to make them yourself.Today I chat with Dr. Christine Meyer of Christine Meyer and Associates about her journey from being an employed physician to starting her own practice and ultimately growing it to the 19 providers she has today. While I want you to hear that it is really possible to have a phenomenally successful practice, the real goal of this episode is to talk about the mistakes she and I have both made along the way.Dr. Meyer and I discuss everything from hiring providers, to figuring out space requirements to managing staff, how and what to delegate and more. You'll hear about the common pitfalls that many practice owners experience and how to avoid them. One of the most important takeaways from my conversation with Dr. Meyer is, no matter what stage you are at in starting, running or growing your private practice, you need to be actively involved in the management and learn from every experience.More about Dr. Meyer:Dr. Meyer was born and raised in New Jersey to first-generation Egyptian parents. With the failure rate for New Year's resolutions estimated to be 80%, with most people giving up by mid-February, there's a high likelihood you may have already hit a wall of discouragement. Whether your resolution was to hit the gym, start that new YouTube channel, or find your dream job, many of us who resolve to change and fall short are left to question "what went wrong"? In this conversation, life coach and master of career pivots, Christine Meyer breaks down why we should not consider an abandoned resolution to be a failure. Is it you falling short or is the flaw in the tradition and mindset of a New Year's resolution itself? Christine also sheds some valuable light on how to redesign your approach to constructive, realistic and sustainable change through new year intentions versus resolutions! Christine Meyer is an executive life coach and author of "Keep It Simple, Smartypants! Stop Overthinking. Start Aligning. Live Happy". Since 2002 it's been her mission to empower, educate and uplift. She coaches the ultra successful people (who you'd think wouldn't need a coach) to dream even bigger, reach beyond their limitations and know themselves from the inside-out, which allows them to move through life confidently and happily, while making the impact they want to make. Her clients include Obama speech writers, impact-driven serial entrepreneurs, Emmy Award winners, best-selling authors, multi-million dollar investors, founders of profit and non-profit companies, popular radio personalities and leaders of change. A sought-after podcast guest and founding member and regular contributor to the Forbes Coaches Council, her second book will be out in 2024.

"Obesity is not the consequence of bad behaviors it is a disease that finally has effective, safe, lasting treatments. Patients with obesity have been marginalized long enough. We, especially health care providers, have got to start taking down barriers for these patients — not adding to them." Christine Meyer is an internal medicine physician. She shares her story and discusses her KevinMD article, "A personal mission to get obese patients on GLP-1 agonists." The Podcast by KevinMD is brought to you by the Nuance Dragon Ambient eXperience. With so many demands on their time, physicians today report record levels of burnout. Burnout is caused by many factors, one of which is clinical documentation. Studies indicate physicians spend two hours documenting care for every hour spent with patients. At Nuance, we are committed to helping physicians do what you love – care for patients – and spend less time on clinical documentation. The Nuance Dragon Ambient eXperience, or DAX for short, is an AI-powered, ambient clinical intelligence solution that automatically captures patient encounters securely and accurately at the point of care. Physicians who use DAX have reported a 50 percent decrease in documentation time and a 70 percent reduction in feelings of burnout, and 83 percent of patients say their physician is more personable and conversational. Rediscover the joy of medicine with clinical documentation that writes itself, all within the EHR. Your life is as simple or complex as you let it be. Your life is always as good as you allow it to be. Our work together is easy and life-changing. Let's be honest: life can feel pretty random. When things go well, it's because you're managing (read: controlling) them. But when one thing goes wrong, it seems like all that goes out the window. https://selfdiscoverymedia.com/?p=98316

A Bit About Christine I'm Christine Meyer, and I help successful, influential, passionate thought-leaders fearlessly create their life through a masterful understanding of their own empowerment. This coaching is about you hooking into your power. It's about motion-forward and drawing you into a resonant place so you can be ready for what you want. It's about achieving the mastery of energy alignment rather than banging around in struggle. It's not about fixing things that are seemingly broken (including you because you're not broken)—it's about you tuning into your soul so you can lead the adventurous, fun, aligned, and inspired life you want to live. I'm a life coach, but in the 16+ years that I've been doing this, I've also been described as a thought coach, a transcendence coach, a chiropractor for the soul, and a chiropractor of reality. Call it what you want, what I do is “adjust” you through a skilled combination of teaching, deep listening, and guiding. I lead you to the expert of you - which is you. I present intricate information in simple and practical ways. The pace is based on you, your energy, and the balance of your desires to your beliefs. The results are life-changing as you implement a new approach to being and experiencing your world. I know there are lots of things that matter to you, and I know you can have what you want. Life is simple, there's no reason to make it more complicated than it has to be. LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/christinemeyercoaching/ Website: https://www.christinemeyercoaching.com/

It started on a snow day. Dr. Christine Meyer pays her staff even when the office is closed, so she was trying to find something for them to do, and she figured -- why not just help people find vaccines. So she posted on Facebook for people to email her office if they needed help finding a vaccine. She got 1200 emails in 2 hours and the email server crashed. Fast forward a bit, and the PA CoVID Vaccine Match Maker Facebook group has more than 55 thousand members and has helped thousands of people get vaccines. Dr. Christine Meyer joins KYW Newsradio In Depth to talk about the story behind the Facebook group and what's gone right (and wrong) with getting vaccines into arms.
Episode #14 Are you the type of person who overcomplicates things? Did you know that you can still get to your destination while living playfully and joyfully? As humans, we have this sense of accomplishment, looking for acknowledgment from others and prove our worthiness. This is what complicates things. There is always a joyful or playful approach to life. It does not mean you're wrong or unworthy, we just have to accept that it's what we can live and intended for when we were born. Stop contradicting, along the way you're getting indicators, you just have to acknowledge them and follow them. If you're resistant out of nature and you're doing out of proving, you'll just keep repeating that pattern. Everything is responding to the theme of your thought. It's not about the action, it's about coming into alignment with what you desire, finding a way to feel better than you are, and feel good consistently. You can be tired sometimes but it is not what you want to keep focusing on, you have the choice. Life is a journey of new discoveries.

Finnes egentlig reell objektivitet? T A K K for at du hører på oss!
SSB-direktør Christine Meyer blir skulda for å la sitt politiske syn farge jobben ho gjer og kva statistikk SSB gjev ut. Ho svarar i dagens politiske kvarter. Programleiar Astrid Randen.
Is your doctor right for you? Figure it out in 90 seconds.Finding the right doctor can be challenging. While your insurance company may provide search tools to find a physician that meets searchable criteria, you have no guarantee that the doctor you find will be a good fit for you. Word of mouth can help narrow the field. Still, you may not know if you’ve found the right doctor until the first office visit is over. Here are some tips to see if your doctor is right for you in the first 90 seconds of your visit.First impressions are important. What is your gut feeling when you walk into the office? It should be clean inside and easy to reach. You should feel comfortable in the space. The staff reflect the doctor's attitude. Are they pleasant? Do they greet you with warmth? What's your first impression of the doctor? Doctors have busy lives, but they should be well-groomed and wear clean clothes. Your doctor should wash her hands when she enters the room and at the end of your visit. You should receive a handshake and eye contact from your doctor.Your doctor should sit down when it's time to talk so you don't feel like a commodity. A great doctor will let you talk for the first two to three minutes and listen to your concerns. Does your doctor take notes about your condition? You should be able to ask your doctor about anything. That doesn't mean she'll have the answers on procedure costs and insurance coverage, but she should be able to direct you to someone who can help. Most importantly, if you can't talk to your doctor about your deepest health worries, then it's time to find a new doctor.Listen in as Dr. Christine Meyer shares how to find the right doctor for you.You can also check out Dr. Meyer's newest book, The Longest Mile: A Doctor, A Food Fight, and the Footrace That Rallied a Community Against Cancer.
No haglar kritikken og skuldingane. Programleiar Astrid Randen.
