Henry Lee Lucas blev ökänd när han erkände hundratals ouppklarade mord. Vad var egentligen sanningen?Wikipedia säger sitt om The Confession Killer. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
In 1983 a transient man called Henry Lee Lucas was arrested for the murder of an elderly woman called Kate Rich and as he stood in court for his crimes he asks 'what about the rest of the people I killed?' Beginning a frenzy throughout law enforcement across the country. He would go on to confess to over 600 murders, but how many people did Henry Lee Lucas REALLY kill?
Shim Kiseop wrote "For me, the emotions I can feel towards humans have dried up. I don't feel any emotions of guilt, nor any emotions of sadness. I didn't feel anger. I praise your courage to look me straight in the eyes until the last moment. Thank you. Your eyes made it clear that you were not afraid." ___ If you enjoy True Crime and Korea, give a rating, a follow, and some feedback! It helps me continue to improve the show. One was known as The Confession Killer, the other The Cannibal Kid. Although they committed murders together, they also committed them apart. One would become well known in criminal history, the other not so much. One thing's for sure, they didn't commit all the crimes they tried to take credit for, but they both tried to take the credit for a bunch. Listen in as we discuss this serial killing duo.

In a groundbreaking development, authorities in Texarkana, Arkansas, have finally cracked a chilling cold case that has remained unsolved for over four decades. DNA evidence has led them to identify Weldon Alexander, the father of the victims, as the prime suspect in the 1981 murder of his own children, Karen and Gordon Alexander. At a press conference held on October 19, Texarkana Police Chief Michael Kramm announced the major breakthrough. He revealed that Weldon Alexander is believed to have fatally stabbed his 14-year-old daughter Karen and 13-year-old son Gordon in a horrifying incident that shook the community. Tragically, the suspect, Weldon Alexander, passed away in 2014, leaving unanswered questions surrounding the brutal crime. The tragic events unfolded on April 8, 1981, when local authorities discovered the siblings in their Texarkana home. Gordon was found lifeless in the kitchen, while Karen, though grievously injured, was still clinging to life in the living room. Shockingly, the murder weapon was identified as a common butter knife retrieved from the crime scene. Karen was rushed to a local hospital, where she fought for her life in a coma for three agonizing days before succumbing to her injuries, as documented in a 1981 United Press International news report. Gordon, at the time of the brutal attack, was confined to a wheelchair, making the crime even more heart-wrenching. Initial investigations unveiled a horrifying truth; Karen had suffered sexual assault in the 48 to 72 hours leading up to her death and had likely endured this horrific abuse for around six months prior. Authorities disclosed these disturbing details during the recent press conference. One of the perplexing aspects of the case was the absence of signs of forced entry into the Alexander family's home. At the time of the murders, Karen and Gordon's mother, Vera Alexander, was hospitalized for mental health issues, while their father, Weldon, was working an overnight shift at Copper Tire and Rubber. Weldon's account of the events added to the mystery. He claimed to have arrived home from work shortly after 7 a.m. that fateful morning, finding both the screen door and the wooden front door slightly ajar. Inside, he discovered his son deceased in the kitchen and believed his daughter might still be alive in the living room area. Shockingly, he reportedly removed a kitchen knife from Karen's body and placed it on a nearby bookshelf before the arrival of law enforcement. Over the years, detectives tirelessly pursued leads and interviewed numerous individuals associated with the case. In 1983, Henry Lee Lucas, a notorious serial killer known as the "Confession Killer," falsely confessed to the murders. However, lack of concrete evidence prevented any charges against him, and the case eventually went cold. In February 2022, the case received new life when retired Capt. Calvin Seward, who had been a patrol officer at the time of the murders, reopened the investigation. Over the next 18 months, he meticulously identified, interviewed, and re-interviewed individuals connected to the original case. Crucially, he submitted DNA profiles into the Combined DNA Index System (CODIS) from individuals associated with the initial inquiry. In a pivotal turn of events, DNA extracted from the victims' fingernail tissue in 2022 yielded results indicating a familial relationship with Weldon Alexander. Furthermore, Weldon's semen was discovered on Karen's bedding. Investigators also uncovered evidence suggesting that Gordon had died hours earlier than initially believed, as his body was cold to the touch when officers arrived at the scene. Capt. Seward, speaking to reporters, suggested a horrifying sequence of events, stating that he believes Weldon attempted to assault his daughter, prompting his son to intervene, resulting in a brutal attack on both siblings. In a press release, Texarkana police stated, "It is our hope that the friends and remaining family of Gordon and Karen Alexander may find some peace in knowing that scientific and circumstantial evidence has been revealed sufficient to resolve this 42-year-old case." Miller County Prosecuting Attorney Connie Mitchell expressed confidence that Weldon Alexander is the sole suspect in the murders. She stated that if he were alive today, she would be seeking an arrest warrant for two counts of capital murder. Want to listen to ALL of our podcasts AD-FREE? One night while her husband was away at work, she was brutally stabbed 17 times in the carport of their home. Many suspects were investigated, but no one was charged. The team created a investigative file many times larger than the original police file. The goal was to create a web that the killer could not escape.Silent Silhouette is an in-depth look into the work that was done, complete with full interviews of every key player in this real life tragedy. One thing became clear as the investigation unfolded. This case is solvable and it's only a matter of time before this killer is behind bars.

This is part one of a case about a man who becomes known as the Confession Killer. Before we get into his murder spree and his many many confessions we will discuss his childhood abuse he endures at the hands of his mother and her pimp. We will talk about the struggles of this boy through his teen years and the loss of his father. After murdering his manipulative, violent mother he travels around the USA until he finds himself in a Florida soup kitchen line where he meets a man who eventually becomes his partner in crime. We will briefly discuss this second man's turbulent childhood, which is quite similar to the other man's childhood. They both suffered sexual abuse and physical violence at the hands of the people who should have protected them. The men we will be discussing today are Henry Lee Lucas and Ottis Toole. Next week, we will discuss the violence that ensued once these two men pair up. Give this episode a listen, see if you think these two men were born monsters or nurtured into monsters... It's time to get comfy, cozy AND cool with some seriously DARK cults! This week Ashley is BUSY GETTING MARRIED so Lauren is joined by a very special surprise guest-- our resident CULT expert and fashionista- you remember him best from the Queen Mary investigation- TYLER SCHUELKE! This week Lauren and Tyler have some VERY disturbing, creepy, crawly, sick and twisted CULTS. Lauren brings us a somewhat well known man, with a possibly less well known cult. Henry Lee Lucas, also known as The Confession Killer, who CLAIMED to have taken the lives of over 3,000 people was ALSO involved with a cult that... may have never existed? It's kind of like ANTIFA.. a lot of people have stories to tell.. but theres no... actual.. proof. And Tyler bring us the story of the Cult of the Black Jesus out of Papua New Guinea! It never had an official name but the leader, Steven Tari, referred to himself as black Jesus.. so what else would we call it? This monster was a Lutheran bible student who not only said he was Christ, but murdered, raped many women he kept as sex slaves, and was even accused of cannibalism before his grisly end... but I'll let Tyler give you the creepy deets. They wrap up the episode with a really compelling conversation about the value of a show like Netflix's DAHMER but also the cringeworthy-ness of people who treat serial killers like celebrities.
Deborah Sue Williamson was a newly married young woman living in Lubbock Texas on Aug. 24, 1975. One night while her husband was away at work, she was brutally stabbed 17 times in the carport of their home. Many suspects were investigated, but no one was charged. The case went cold until the mid-1980s when Henry Lee Lucas, a man notorious for admitting to murders he didn't commit confessed to her murder. It was profiled in the Netflix doc series The Confession Killer. There was only one problem. He didn't kill her. Her mother and stepfather proved Lucas didn't end Debbie's life and the case went cold once more.True Crime Author and investigative journalist George Jared teamed with his friend and former Army counterintelligence officer and university professor Jennifer Bucholtz to study the case in-depth. The two became acquainted while trying to solve the unsolved murder of Rebekah Gould. In that case they were able to lure the man, now charged with the 22-year-old woman's slaying, onto a Facebook page. Their interactions with him prior to his arrest garnered national attention. Their goal was to do the same in this case.Follow their year-long journey that took them from the mountains of Colorado to the deserts of West Texas. Their investigation led them through row crop fields of the Mississippi Delta and into the rolling Ozark hills in Missouri. The tandem was able to track down nearly every witness, person of interest, and suspect in the case.Along the way they created a massive team of citizen detectives that have brought resources to bear on a case that is now 47 years old. The team created an investigative file many times larger than the original police file. SILENT SILHOUETTE...WHO KILLED DEBORAH SUE?-George Jared
(Part 2 of 2) This week's unsolved homicide is about the story of an 18-year-old young woman named Deborah Sue Williamson who lived in Lubbock, Texas. She was stabbed 17 times in her carport. She would die just a few feet away from her front door. Deborah was a newlywed. She had recently married a man named Doug Williamson. She was supposed to meet her husband at the Pizza Inn restaurant he managed. After she didn't show up, he became worried. He tried calling around to find out if anyone had seen his wife. At 1 a.m. he left work and found her lifeless body. Naturally, Doug was the primary suspect since he was Deborah's significant other. However, law enforcement cleared him because he was at work the entire evening and never left. Her case was basically forgotten for several years until a prolific killer named Henry Lee Lucas confessed to killing Deborah. This story was profiled on the Netflix series titled The Confession Killer. Today, the case remains as cold as the heart of the person who killed Deborah. This would change when an investigative journalist named George Jared and his partner Jennifer Bucholtz, a former Army counter intelligence officer took an interest in the case. The crimefighting duo traveled to Lubbock, Texas to find out who killed Deborah Sue Williamson. Their investigation was more thorough than law enforcement's. They visited the crime scene and investigated most of the key people involved in the case. They put their findings together and presented them in a book titled “Silent Silhouette.” George has said the book doesn't name any suspects. He presents case facts from his own interviews and the original police file and allows the reader to make his or her own deductions about what happened to Deborah Sue Williamson. The case still hangs over Lubbock, Texas like a dark cloud. There is still hope that law enforcement can use modern technology to find evidence unseen to the human eye. So who killed Deborah Sue Williamson nearly 50 years ago? If you have any information about this case, please contact the Lubbock Police Department at 806-775-2865. You can also visit the Unsolved Murder of Deborah Sue Williamson (Deborah Agnew) FB page for updates to this case. You can order your own copy of the book titled Silent Silhouette: Who Killed Deborah Sue? Written by George Jared and Jennifer Bucholtz. Vic Feazell was the District Attorney in McClennan County when he received a call from the renowned Texas Rangers. The Rangers had a man in custody who had confessed to three murders in Vic's jurisdiction, and they wondered if Vic wanted to have his picture taken with the Rangers when they closed out the cases? When you are a politician whose political stock was on the rise, of course you say yes to The Rangers. Only problem was, the man who confessed to the Rangers had not committed the murders. When Vic got suspicious, all hell broke loose. On December 6, 2019, "The Confession Killer" was released on Netflix as a five-part documentary. Listen to one of the key players from the documentary.

Despite his prolific claimed body count, criminologist credit Lucas for killing at least (confirmed) victims, including his own mother, Viola Lucas. Lucas received the death penalty, but Texas Governor George W. Bush changed the sentence to life in prison. Lucas died in his cell on March 12, 2001 of natural causes.

Aurora has the incredible tale of a crooked cop turned serial killer in El Salvador. After women's screams were reported by a neighbour, authorities paid a visit to Hugo Ernesto Osorio Chavez. A number of bodies were found buried or partially buried on his property. Word is that Chavez ran an immigration scam to find his victims, but is there more to the story? Always. The murder of Laura Marie Purchase in 1983 was once attributed to notorious Confession Killer, Henry Lee Lucas. But it turned out to be just one of his many false confessions. Angelina is happy to report that thanks to preserved DNA evidence and a dedicated Cold Case Squad in Texas, Laura's real killer, 75-year-old Thomas Elvin Darnell was finally arrested this month -- 38 years after Laura's death.Original music and audio production by Louis Levesque. For inquiries: louis14levesque@gmail.comWriting and Research by Shaina BeshkinCHECK OUT 'THIS WEEK IN TRUE CRIME' ON YOUTUBE F O L L O W U S ! ! !I N S T A G R A M -- @murdermurdernewsT W I T T E R -- @mmurdernewsF A C E B O O K -- https://www.facebook.com/mmntruecrime/T I K T O K -- @murdermurdernewsJoin our Facebook Group | to chat about true crime, and to join our virtual book club!Check out MurderMurder.news for the latest breaking true crime news! For business inquiries: murdermurdernews@gmail.comTo submit a spooky story: https://murdermurder.news/story-submission-form/ ------------- LINKS + SOURCES:https://news.trust.org/item/20210520172344-wo3re/ https://foreignpolicy.com/2019/11/30/el-salvador-gang-violence-ms13-nation-held-hostage-photography/ https://www.bbc.com/news/world-latin-america-57200081 https://apnews.com/article/el-salvador-5dad3f489adb6899093b89c26ff43c9e https://nacla.org/news/2021/03/04/femicides-el-salvador-pandemic https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/may/25/el-salvador-house-of-horror-women-murders https://www.elsalvador.com/eldiariodehoy/psicopata-chalchuapa-plan-control-territorial/840396/2021/https://www.vice.com/en/article/n7bz4k/a-mass-grave-was-discovered-in-a-psychopath-ex-cops-well https://www.independent.co.uk/news/el-salvador-murder-bodies-found-b1851155.html https://www.elsalvador.com/eldiariodehoy/asesino-chalchuapa-testigo-criteriado-con-beneficios-penales/840542/2021/ https://www.telemundo.com/noticias/noticias-telemundo/crimen-y-violencia/hallan-los-restos-de-10-personas-enterrados-en-la-casa-de-los-horrores-de-un-expolicia-tmna3883823 https://www.independent.ie/world-news/latin-america/womans-cries-brought-police-to-home-of-ex-policeman-in-el-salvador-they-found-her-dead-and-at-least12-more-bodies-in-a-pit-40465757.html https://www.seattletimes.com/nation-world/el-salvador-police-arrested-an-ex-officer-for-two-murders-then-they-found-a-mass-grave-of-women-in-his-yard/?amp=1 https://www.chron.com/woodlands/extra/article/County-s-Cold-Case-Squad-opens-files-on-unsolved-3352700.php https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/crime/henry-lee-lucas-murder-laura-purchase-b1851733.html?amp https://www.oxygen.com/crime-news/thomas-darnell-arrested-for-1983-slaying-of-laura-marie-purchase https://dfw.cbslocal.com/2021/05/21/henry-lee-lucas-laura-marie-purchase-thomas-darnell-cold-case-solved/ https://people.com/crime/serial-killer-falsely-confessed-womans-1983-rape-murder/ Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/murdermurdernews)

Take a quick look with us into the life and lies of Henry Lee Lucas.
Comedians Kd Hinken & Nathan Parish talk about true crime stories, conspiracy theories and all things interesting from the mess we call the world and the utter crazy species that inhabit it.This time they kick things off by covering the story of henry Lee Lucas, who went by various names including the "Confession Killer" and the "One eyed drifter." Lucas was a necrophilic serial killer that travelled around America (and other places) with one eye, He would eventually settlw down upon meeting a fellow scummy murder man just like him, but the serenity wouldn't last long...We then completely switch gears as Nathan takes us through the twisted tales of 3 haunted paintings (and a 4th briefly.) The paintings will be available to view shortly via Kd Hinkens instagram account: @kd_thebabyface. These paintings all possess their own equally creepy and intriguing stories, but all of them also seem to share one characteristic in particular. Why are all these paintings inexplicably creepy when you stare at them, without any real reason why? And how do they tie in to sleep paralysis or messages from the other side?Nathan's Post Apocalyptic Metal Treehouse: https://open.spotify.com/show/5UeDcIrwOx89OXPlkJpEPb?si=oGsmmHDgRyKQ4DDvHKIV4wKd's Comedian Quiz-Off, live, every Wednesday, 7pm, on Facebook via "JokePit Connecting Comedy." Welcome back to the Rock 'n Roll Ghost Podcast. On this week's episode, the Ghost speaks with musician and composer Jason Hill about his career dating back to his days in the bands Convoy, Louis XIV and Vicki Cryer. As well as his work with The Killers and producing/touring with the New York Dolls and the recent passing of Sylvain Sylvain. Hill also talks about his late career turn towards film and TV composing. He has worked closely with director David Fincher on projects such as Fincher's Gone Girl and the Netflix series Mindhunter. It's a pretty wide ranging, fun interview with someone I go back nearly twenty years with. Also, starting April 1st, Hill will be hosting Film Composing and Music production masterclasses.
It's a six-pack of DVR clutter this week as I let you know what I'm granting a continuance...or a motion to dismiss. Netflix's latest on Henry Lee Lucas, plus a Frontline on a predator on the reservation, a doc on Oakland PD, the continuing fascination with the murder of Martha Moxley, yet more JonBenét Ramsey theories, and a new hope for the oldest profession. Get ready for some justifiable deletions, people: it's The Blotter Presents, Episode 123. SHOW NOTES A year of Best Evidence is just $52, now 'til 12/15!
