What if the parts of yourself you once tried to suppress were actually trying to guide you all along?My connection with this week's guest, medium Kerstin Caldwell, began with one of the most extraordinary remote-viewing experiences I've ever had.During a development exercise, Kerstin held a place from her childhood in her awareness while I attempted to perceive it without knowing where she had taken me. This is a very personal episode of Soul Sync, recorded on my birthday and at what feels like one of the biggest crossroads of my life.After ten years of building and running my legal recruitment business, I've finally stepped away from the identity that shaped so much of my adult life. What happens when we stop trying to make mediumship happen and begin trusting what is already there?In this solo episode of Soul Sync, I'm sharing what has been one of the most exciting periods of my own mediumship development.Since stepping away from my business and creating more space in my life, something has shifted. My mind feels quieter. My sensitivity feels stronger. In this Remaster episode I talk to Dr. Alan Hugenot. We talk about his Near Death Experience and his book The Death Experience: What it is like when you die. His book describes what you will experience as you die. Giving details of the death process and your journey into the afterlife based on the author's own Near-Death experience where he died, went out-of-body into the afterlife, and returned to a second life in the same body. His experiences are collated with the Tibetan Book of the Dead; the Egyptian Book of the Dead; and current research on the Near Death-experience by the International Association for Near Death Studies (IANDS); Dr. Ian Stevensens's research on Children who Remember Past Lives at the University of Virginia; and studies of After-Death Communication at the University of Arizona. Giving the current science on consciousness survival while explaining quantum mathematics and the afterlife postulated to exist in dark energy located in alternative dimensions. Bio Dr. Hugenot began the study of mediumship more than a dozen years ago strictly as a scientist, intending to establish scientifically that this phenomenon was valid, and that communication with deceased surviving consciousness was indeed possible. Before giving his first reading he trained as a medium for 7 years within the Spiritualist tradition. This included completing the 4 year course with the Morris Pratt Institute, outside Milwaukie, Wisconsin, and also traveling to Lily Dale outside Buffalo, N.Y. to take week long seminars. Finally. he made three separate trips to England attending a total of five weeks of courses at Arthur Findlay College, of psychic science, outside Stansted, Essex, UK. So that today he is a member of the Licentiate Ministers & Certified Mediums Society of the NSAC. Today, we will be discussing evidential mediumship. When you hear the term mediumship, you may imagine communicating with the deceased via a medium. and evidential mediumship emphasizes specific, detailed, and verifiable information—something more evidence-based and concrete, such as physical descriptions, significant dates, and other information that the medium would not ordinarily be able to know. I believe it is impossible to conduct a reading with the spirit of a deceased person without first collecting evidence to support your claims. This is because I must be certain that the person I am connecting you with on the other side of this bridge is, in fact, the deceased loved one with whom you hoped to communicate. People who seek out this mediumship are grieving, and you do not want to play with their emotions by providing them with fraudulent readings because you have not gathered evidence that you are in fact connecting with the correct spirit. It is not easy to conquer the feeling of loss; it requires a lot of effort on your part to move on after the death of a significant person in your life, someone with whom you had both happy and sad memories to share. And because nobody is ever prepared for it when it does happen, the person who is left behind is frequently left with a great deal of unanswered concerns. As we navigate through the complexities of grief and healing, evidential mediumship stands as a source of solace and closure, offering a way to find answers and connection in the face of profound loss. Mediumship has a sordid history. Even today, the practice continues to receive mainstream criticism and stigmatization. As with many spiritual professions, mediumship has weathered the storms of frauds and scams, leaving a stain on its reputation that's hard to remove. But when you really look into it, you have to wonder: why does this antiquated narrative still exist? After all, research shows that mediums are friendlier, more imaginative and intellectual, more confident and emotionally stable, and less neurotic and anxious than “normal people.” It goes beyond ‘energy' too, with brain scans showing that mediums are in a distinct mental state while communicating with the deceased.Study after study consistently reveals that a majority of people have favorable attitudes toward mediumship. While you can acknowledge those feelings on earth, talking to them on the other side gives you somewhere to go, because you can think of them now. If you can find a way to listen to your intuitive voice, you can give your grief a place to go.   [10:53] For people who want to connect spiritually, don't focus on the end result. First start to practice connecting with yourself by quieting your mind and listening to your own inner voice.   [19:51] Only work with a medium if you feel drawn to them. If you're unsure, your intuition is telling you something isn't right, or the timing isn't right. Don't get the reading.    [28:20] People are missing the understanding that we are all connected. We have a direct line to the divine and God. God is running through us, permeating the space around us, and connecting us all. We're a part of that and chose to come here to experience that.
