DISCERNMENT is of utmost importance in the age of Artificial Intelligence. AI is not consciousness. AI is non-emotional. AI was not created from the zero-point field. AI is a fantastic tool when used properly. AI is a master of pattern recognition. The prompts humans feed AI with create a huge database and infrastructure. Artificial Intelligence responds to beliefs and expectations, capitalizing on distortion and a weak host. Today, people consider AI to be their guru. They listen to the advice AI provides and even form relationships with AI. That's all nice and dandy, as long as you deploy discernment. But let's face it: This is rarely the case. While the vast majority of people focus on the plethora of AI tools that seem to pop up like mushrooms after a heavy rainy season, investors bet on AI infrastructure, including sectors such as energy, computing, and robotics. In this article, I want to look at AI from a different perspective – one that is left in the shadows because it's uncomfortable to consider. Before I ask the obvious punchline question, I'll take a quick step back. Roughly, a couple of decades ago, something called social media captured our attention. The apps were (and still are) free to join and promised a miraculous network that would allow us to communicate with family, friends, relatives, and strangers (!) without paying a dime. In return, we would spend time and energy (the most precious commodity in the universe!) on these platforms, and of course, provide all kinds of personal data while interacting globally. How valuable these granular data sets were became clear later in the game, when we realized that tech behemoths from Silicon Valley, Seattle, and major Chinese cities were selling them to advertisers, organizations, agencies, and even governments. It didn't take long to witness the weaponization of these data. The cataclysm was a major event that took place a few years back, which showed us how fragile “free speech” actually is. Accounts were blocked, banned, and deleted left, right, and center. When the information shared on the social channel didn't fit the mainstream narrative, the consequences were the above-mentioned. Now back to my point: If this happened with social media, what makes you think that the AI game is going to be any different? Hint: The language models AI feeds upon are incomprehensibly more explosive in size and texture than what we've ever experienced. HUMANITY Is the Currency of the Future AI is not God. AI is not Source Intelligence. AI is a tool, albeit a powerful one when used correctly. My team uses AI to create images. I used AI to restart Linux on my laptops when the update crashed everything and I got stuck in BIOS. Furthermore, I use AI to spot fake ads and test things I'm interested in. I never use AI to write. I love writing. I love creating for the human soul and heart, allowing feelings and emotions to orchestrate what I'm about to convey with my readers. AI is soulless. AI is non-emotional. AI is a tool. AI will NEVER be able to do the following: Tap into the zero-point field. Being human is a wonderful gift. We are super powerful, and we're here to remember how gifted and incredible we truly are. Put down your phone. Cut off the external noise. Turn inwards. Pause. Harness those 0.25 seconds between thoughts. You are a miracle; AI is not. Attend a Live Webinar. Schedule a Consultation. The post Artificial Intelligence: Profiled. Sold. Weaponized. appeared first on StrengthInBusiness.

In this special Tick Boot Camp Podcast conversation recorded for Dr. Bill Rawls' Vital Plan Network as part of the Cellular Healing Boot Camp Series, Tick Boot Camp co-hosts Matt Sabatello and Rich Johannesen join Liza Blas (Vital Plan Network Community Manager) to unpack one of the most overlooked—but most transformative—parts of chronic illness recovery: rebuilding identity. This episode serves as a follow-up to Lesson 16 in the Boot Camp (watch full lesson) and expands the framework Rich introduced in the lesson—showing how chronic Lyme disease and complex chronic illness can dysregulate not only the body, but also the mind, nervous system, and sense of meaning and connection. Together, they explore the “patterns” they've observed through 650+ Tick Boot Camp interviews with patients, doctors, and researchers—and how those patterns point toward a more complete roadmap for healing.https://community.vitalplan.com/ What You'll Learn in This Episode Why healing from chronic Lyme disease is rarely “just physical” The key recovery patterns observed across 650+ patient interviews How identity gets disrupted by chronic illness—and how to rebuild it The difference between faith vs. doubt as forms of belief The “Big Three Lies” that shape a harmful Lyme identity How the nervous system, stress hormones, and immune dysfunction feed each other Why “it's never just one thing” when it comes to recovery Practical tools for hard days: breathwork, gratitude, pacing, and nervous system support A step-by-step “path forward” that includes physical, psychological, and spiritual healing Key Themes and Takeaways 1) The Tick Boot Camp Origin Story (and Why Patterns Matter) Rich shares the moment Tick Boot Camp was born: seeing Matt go from a healthy, high-performing young man to being severely disabled by chronic illness—then watching him fight his way back. That personal crisis, combined with Rich's own tick bite and lack of competent medical guidance, revealed a hard truth: The real experts are the people who've lived the journey. Tick Boot Camp became a platform to capture what actually works in real life—through deep, long-form interviews that expose patterns you don't see in short appointments or isolated protocols. 2) The Biggest Pattern: Recovery Requires More Than Medicine Matt explains one of the most important—and most triggering—lessons he had to accept: Chronic Lyme is not only a physical illness. It impacts your nervous system, psychology, relationships, and identity. He also highlights two massive recovery truths seen again and again: Believing you can heal matters, because hopelessness prevents action. It's never one thing. Healing is cumulative—built through layered interventions over time. This isn't “it's all in your head.” It's acknowledging that infection changes brain chemistry, stress responses, and perception—and that those changes must be addressed as part of recovery. 3) Tick Boot Camp's Framework: Three “Immune Systems” That Can Break Down Rich expands the “immune system must win the day” concept from Dr. Bill Rawls' book Unlocking Lyme, and explains how it applies beyond the body. He argues many people experience a breakdown across three interconnected systems: Physical immune system: fatigue, pain, inflammation, mitochondrial dysfunction Psychological immune system: stress response, nervous system dysregulation, belief filtering Spiritual immune system: purpose, meaning, connection, and “place in the world” The more systems involved, the more complex and longer the recovery journey can be. 4) Belief: A Two-Sided Coin (Faith vs. Doubt) Rich explains why his early messaging triggered Matt—and what finally clarified it: Belief isn't something you either “have” or “don't have” Belief is always present It comes in two forms: Faith: belief you're more likely than not to get the outcome you want Doubt: belief you're more likely than not to get the outcome you don't want People enter the chronic illness journey carrying belief—but often it has been converted into doubt through repeated invalidation, medical dismissal, and prolonged suffering. 5) The Big Three Lies That Create “Lyme Identity” Across hundreds of interviews, Rich says the same three narratives appear repeatedly: “You don't look sick.” “It's all in your head.” “You can't get better.” These lies—coming from doctors, family, society, and even internal self-talk—can form what Rich calls a “lie-dentity”: a false identity built from invalidation and survival-mode thinking. 6) Matt's Personal Breakdown Across All Three Systems Matt describes how, in hindsight, he was dysregulated in all three systems: Spiritual/meaning: loss of connection, loneliness, relationships collapsing due to cognitive disability Psychological: new anxiety, doom, depression, fear, hyper-control while having no control Physical: severe neurological symptoms including seizures, tremors, hallucinations, inability to walk properly, and crushing fatigue He emphasizes therapy can be valuable—not because illness is imagined—but because anyone would struggle emotionally when their life collapses physically. Practical Recovery Tools Mentioned Nervous System Support and Emotional Bandwidth Matt shares that HPA Balance from Vital Plan became a turning point by calming his nervous system enough to safely pursue antimicrobial healing steps. He describes it as helping him feel “normal” again—creating the emotional bandwidth needed to keep going. He also mentions: Napiers Ashwagandha Root Tincture (Withania somnifera) Passionflower Tincture (Passiflora incarnata) Used as-needed when overstimulated, anxious, or overwhelmed. Cellular/Mitochondrial Recovery and Broad Support Matt outlines a layered approach aligned with Dr. Rawls' cellular recovery philosophy, including: foundational supplementation adaptogenic support mitochondrial support broad-spectrum herbal antimicrobial support A Practical “Holiday” Tool Matt notes using chlorella as a personal strategy to offset inflammation after dietary triggers—supporting his ability to recover more quickly after “human moments” like holiday dessert. The Path Forward: A Simple Roadmap Rich's recommendation for moving forward begins with something many people avoid: Step 1: Sit with it Reflect honestly on: What's happening physically What's happening emotionally (stress, fear, self-talk) What's happening spiritually (meaning, connection, purpose) Step 2: Support the physical system with basics sleep diet gentle movement when possible consistent, realistic routines Step 3: Protect the psychological immune system from “lies” Recognize how invalidation can become internalized, and how survival-mode thinking can shut down healing physiology. Step 4: Rebuild meaning through service and connection Rich suggests small steps that re-establish purpose and belonging—especially for those who are still very sick. Even minimal action can restore identity and hope over time. Participate in LymeDisease.org's My Lyme Data Survey Volunteer with the Center for Lyme Action Volunteer with Lyme organizations, like Global Lyme Alliance, Project Lyme, and Lyme Warrior “When you have a bad day, how do you keep the faith?” Matt shares a practical approach: pause and breathe gratitude practice (family, progress, community, relationships) nervous system support tools when needed Rich adds: the brain can change negatively—but also positively—and building a recovery “toolbox” helps you stay stable through inevitable ups and downs. Why This Episode Matters Many chronic illness conversations focus narrowly on protocols, supplements, and symptom management. This conversation zooms out to address what chronic Lyme truly disrupts: identity, confidence, relationships, and the ability to trust yourself again. If you feel stuck, lost, or disconnected from who you were—or who you're becoming—this episode offers a framework for understanding why that happens and how people rebuild from it. About Tick Boot Camp Tick Boot Camp is a Lyme disease awareness and recovery platform built around long-form conversations with the people who know the journey best: patients who have lived it, plus the doctors and researchers working to improve outcomes. With 650+ interviews, the show documents the common patterns behind recovery and resilience.

Silence. Depth. Patience. Sitting with one thought has become incredibly challenging in a world dominated by mindless notifications. We've put multitasking on a pedestal only to discover that there is no such thing as doing two things simultaneously. Switching between tasks quickly, juggling the realm of binary code without much thought, has led us down a path where the vast majority of people struggle with all kinds of mental issues. FOCUS, a fundamental pillar in life, business, health, relationships, and many other areas, has lost its appeal. Scrolling until your thumbs are numb and your brain is fried is the new thing. The consequences of this shift are devastating. What we see today is the tip of the iceberg. Will the narrative crumble? Will we remember how to turn inward and pull wisdom from inside? This is entirely up to each and every one of us. It's one decision away. However, we have to be brave enough to choose wisely, commit, and walk the path. Learn to Reverse-Engineer Life-Cycles Before you continue to scatter your energy and pour your precious life force onto meaningless projects, objects, and conversations, sit down in a quiet place and reverse-engineer your life. Life has taught us to wear many hats. The number, color, and weight of our hats depend on which cycle we are in. In spring, we learn to walk, talk, play, and discover the very basics of what we call life. Most of the time, we are taken care of, we're fed, dressed, and protected by family and friends. It's the cycle where we learn how to craft our unique hats and wear them with pride. Summer is the time when we ‘go out to hunt'. We work hard, start businesses, climb the corporate ladder, travel the world, and create a family. The hats we wear increase in size, and with that, responsibility takes new shapes and forms. Autumn is the season where we reap the rewards IF we planted the seeds in spring and took care of our beautiful garden in the summer. It's the time when we delve deeper into relationships and give things in life a fresh perspective. The hats we wear in this life cycle are rich, albeit very colorful, through the skills, knowledge, and experiences we have gathered over the years. In winter, the hats become lighter, albeit warmer, as you wear them with pride, irrespective of other people's good opinion. It's the time when you give away your hats and share the wisdom gathered under the hood with those willing to listen and who appreciate your tidbits. The amazing benefit of doing this “tough” exercise, which involves facing one’s deepest fears, shadows, and regrets, lies in the insight we can gain, which translates into changing our course if we notice our ship is off track. The earlier in life you do this exercise and the more often you sit down to course-correct, the bigger the impact it will have. Minimizing regrets while living a fulfilled, joyful, and blissful life and adhering to one's passion fills our batteries with energy. Strip Away the Noise. Sit with Yourself Consistently. The noise in the “outside realm” is set to get louder if we don't find inner peace. Whether we like it or not, we create our reality, and if we don't like what we see in the mirror, it's up to us to change the input. Pick your thoughts and battles wisely. Learn to sit in silence and get to know yourself. The higher your addiction to gadgets, notifications, and distractions, the more difficult it will be to sit with one thought. Do it anyway. Teach yourself what you forgot, namely, to focus on what's most important to you. You're the captain of your life, so think and act accordingly. Attend a Live Webinar. Schedule a Consultation. In this episode of My DPC Story, Dr. Harris shares how returning to Flint to open a DPC practice allowed her to practice medicine with purpose - addressing trust, environment, and health literacy upstream while creating real opportunities for prevention, especially around heart and metabolic health. Her journey weaves together entrepreneurship, advocacy, and deep community commitment, showing how Direct Primary Care offers physicians autonomy while strengthening the communities that raised them. In this previously aired episode of My DPC Story, host Maryal Concepcion sits down with Dr. Jalan Burton, a Washington, DC/DMV–based pediatrician practicing at the intersection of healthcare policy and deeply relational care. As the founder of Healthy Home Pediatrics, Dr. Burton shares how Direct Primary Care allows her to deliver unrushed, home-based pediatric care in a policy-dense environment while protecting both physician autonomy and patient trust. Her story highlights values-driven medicine, proactive cardiovascular and metabolic health conversations for children, and the power of designing a practice that supports families and physician wellbeing. We chose Dr. Burton for February because her journey reflects intentional, equity-centered care at the crossroads of policy and practice and later this season, we'll be bringing you an update as her DPC story continues to evolve!Get a SmartHeart 12-lead EKG for your DPC with board-certified cardiologists available to help you at the press of a button.Learn more about Zion HealthShare and REGISTER for the LIVE WEBINAR on Feb 13th at 2pm PST. In this episode of My DPC Story, we're highlighting Dr. Adelola "Lola" Ashaye, a board-certified family and lifestyle medicine physician and the founder of InTouch Primary Care in the Sugar Land area of Texas. Practicing in one of the most complex healthcare markets in the country, Dr. Ashaye shares how Direct Primary Care protects physician autonomy while expanding access for patients, creating space for meaningful conversations around prevention, metabolic health, and long-term outcomes. Her journey, shaped by experiences with fragmented care, immigration barriers, and burnout in fee-for-service medicine, is a powerful reminder that physicians of color don't have to conform to broken systems to build sustainable, patient-centered practices. Let's talk about the thing people keep avoiding—even though the data is screaming. In this episode, I'm making the case for the weekly live webinar and why, heading into 2026, it's still the fastest and most reliable way to turn strangers into buyers. I walk through real client examples across courses, memberships, coaching, mentorship, and higher-ticket offers—what's converting, what's not, and why live still beats on-demand for trust, stability, and cash flow. We're talking real numbers here: 20–40% show-up rates, double-digit conversions, buy-now, apply-now, and hybrid models that are working right now. I also break down why webinars take so long to get out the door (hint: it's not laziness—it's choreography, cognitive load, and fear), and why “nothing is working anymore” is usually a strategy problem, not a market problem. If you don't have income stability yet, this episode matters. And if you're ready to install a weekly live webinar in your business this year, DM me. This might be the most important hour you commit to each week.

Today's episode is one of the most important conversations we've had on My DPC Story. As of July 4th, we are standing at a true inflection point for Direct Primary Care—and for every physician, employer, broker, advocate and patient who believes primary care should be personal, accessible, and free from insurance middlemen. In this special session, I'm joined by Jay Keese, Executive Director of the Direct Primary Care Coalition, who has spent more than a decade at the front lines in Washington, DC. Together, we break down what HR 1—the major tax bill signed into law this year—actually means for DPC. This includes:The historic win: HSAs are now fully compatible with Direct Primary Care for the first time ever. What patients can do starting January 1: Use tax-free HSA dollars to pay for DPC memberships without losing HSA eligibility. How this changes the landscape: New opportunities with employers, brokers, high-deductible plans, and even ACA bronze/catastrophic plans. What stays the same, what's evolving, and what rulemaking from the IRS will finalize. What's coming next: How DPC can scale responsibly and sustainably as demand accelerates. If you've ever wondered how policy actually becomes reality—or what the future of DPC looks like on a national scale—you'll want to listen closely. This episode is equal parts celebration, clarification, and a roadmap for what comes next.Learn about healthcare for your own family and about health shares today! Today we hear from Dr. Maria Rutmann, founder of Lionheart Direct Primary Care in northern Maine. She discusses the transformative power of the Direct Primary Care (DPC) clinic model as physician burnout and healthcare system challenges escalate nationwide. Dr. Rutmann shares her journey from working in a traditional fee-for-service hospital group - where mounting administrative demands and loss of autonomy led to emotional exhaustion - to reclaiming her purpose and joy in medicine through DPC.Listeners learn how Lionheart DPC empowers physicians to practice value-based care by fostering lasting patient-physician relationships, personalizing health experiences, and eliminating the barriers of insurance-driven healthcare. Dr. Rutmann emphasizes that DPC not only improves healthcare access in rural areas, but also allows doctors the time and freedom to provide comprehensive, preventative, and patient-centered care. Families in her community have experienced the convenience and rapid responsiveness of the DPC model, sometimes avoiding costly and time-consuming ER visits and walk-ins thanks to direct communication and same-day appointments. This episode also highlights how DPC serves as a solution to physician burnout, supporting practitioners to reconnect with their sense of purpose, maximize patient outcomes, and enjoy professional autonomy. Listeners considering DPC - from those facing moral injury in fee-for-service settings, to those interested in community-driven, flexible healthcare - will find practical advice, heartfelt encouragement, and proof that a better way in healthcare is not only possible, but thriving. Keywords: physician burnout, healthcare access, direct primary care, DPC, value-based care, physician autonomy, patient-centered care, rural healthcare, medical practice models, Lionheart Direct Primary Care.Learn about healthcare for your own family and about health shares today!
