His parents decision to move their family from Colombia to the United States set the tone for the opportunity Fab was ultimately able to experience, but this was not achieved with ease. From being held back in a new school to being threaten with his own life, these were the building blocks that ultimately led to Fab's outlook on life. He believes that you never start from zero, but the your prior learnings can be an incredible foundation for future success. Fab talks about the ideas that so many of us have and how they are a gift from God. When you have an idea, that means you are ready. If you encounter headwinds on your journey to pursuing your idea and you find that you don't believe in yourself, Fab is convinced that using the belief of others is a great way to gather momentum. Subconscious dynamics are simple procedures designed to communicate in ways that enhance your chances for getting more positive and permanent results, directly to the deeper recesses of your mind. Hypnosis & Hypnotherapy: essentially tells your consciousness to take a backseat and lets you turn your attention inward to that deeper sense of the unconscious self, temporarily suspending the mind's critical faculties. Just like how you can zone out and daydream without actually seeing what's going on, hypnosis allows you to direct your thoughts without actually engaging your mind. Past life regression is a technique that attempts to use hypnosis in order to recover memories from previous lives. SHOWNOTES Welcome to this week’s episode where we talk to renowned acupuncturist and chiropractor Dr. Cathleen Gerenger to find out her approach and the tools she uses to become a leading practitioner in health and wellness. Cathleen has developed a wellness routine that she uses every day. Her day starts with a 9 minute meditation, exercising her body and soul before work, going to work in her clinic and cooking nutrient dense food when she comes home in the evening. Cathleen has a kitchen in her clinic where she teaches about nutrition to help with wellness Cathleen combines her Eastern Chinese upbringing and Western background to bring together a holistic approach to health. As a result of an accident she had in college, she was prescribed tablets to help her with headaches and back pain. She had a remarkable interaction with a chiropractor who adjusted and aligned her and found she was pain-free. He also taught her about inflammation and nutrition. This in turn led her into a career into health, wellness and led her to become a chiropractor herself. Cathleen recognises the importance of gut health to regulate and promote better health and how educating kids at a young age to be proactive helps Cathleen’s consults starts with a 30 minute patient questionnaire about all aspects of their health. If anything suspect comes up she recommends certain tests to see if there are any sub-clinical levels. The underlying problems can then be addressed and the body then can therefore begin to heal itself. Cathleen’s definition of happiness is about the little things. Cathleen’s happiness is part of her routine from her morning coffee ritual, her work, and her cooking. Cathleen’s favourite meal is snapper, ginger, garlic and veggies. Cathleen’s favourite book has a personal connection from the author to her sister and how you can voluntarily change someone’s life. Cathleen’s focus in October in November is to focus on brain health Cathleen talks about how testing your pH will give you a useful outlook to your health to ensure it’s 7.5-8.0. Cathleen’s role models include her father and Elon Musk – she talks about how she admires his persistence. Cathleen talks about her setbacks which was the pressure of perfection and how you can feel unbalanced. The importance of embracing vulnerabilities and letting go of any guilt, resentment, anger and learning to let it go as it sits in the liver. Cathleen makes herself laugh and finds joy in the little things. Episode 24 – Priscilla Stephan discusses creating what you desire in your life. What if you don’t know your desires? Priscilla has tips for helping you figure that out as well as how to live your personal and professional life holistically. Priscilla share the reality that we are either moving in the direction of our dreams or moving away from them. It’s important we consciously build evidence on why you can create your dreams (rather than why you can’t) and that takes practice and making a commitment every day to do that. Priscilla believes one of the hardest things we get to choose is giving ourselves permission to follow our own path and to stop apologizing for our desires. Listen in on today’s show and discover how to get clear on what constitutes a rich life for you. For example, what if you imagined your career as a lifestyle? Are you being externally driven by society and what everyone is telling you to do or are you allowing yourself to follow your own inner guidance? Priscilla discusses the importance of being intentional about what you want and how to go about creating it.
