For the transcript and full story go to: https://www.drmanonbolliger.com/liz-fisher Highlights from today's episode include: Liz Fisher And it's, it's hard to get to the main, the root of the problem without being specific. So the more you know about the condition, or you know, the better it is. Liz Fisher That's very specific part of me feels like I can't let go of this. It feels like a good friend. It feels like something I've known my whole life, it would be very uncomfortable. Okay, so we can tap on that. But that might not clear the problem. And how that works is we would know if that's the main core issue, or if there are other aspects that come up around that. Liz Fisher There isn't a, you know, the same answer for everyone. But it works kind of in layers. It's like peeling an onion. So whenever comes up, then we work on it. It might take four sessions for someone it might take, you know, a year, everyone's different. In today's episode, BFFs Krista + Olivia Amitrano, aka Organic Olivia, dive into the intricate web of codependency. Together, they unpack the reasons why we seek external validation and inspire us on a journey towards awareness and breaking the cycle. Ahead, Olivia opens up about her childhood and the experiences that led her down the addictive path of codependency. She explains how this pattern can affect our health, likening the Chinese Medicine concept of 'dampness' to our emotional and spiritual challenges with codependency. Krista + Olivia remind us that true independence and self-regulation come from within, and the real work is finding peace and a stable sense of self without relying on others. If you're struggling to break free from codependency, you're not alone, and healing is possible. In this episode, I had the honor of chatting with a brilliant teacher of mine, Medical Herbalist & Horticulture Therapist, Chanchal Cabrera MSc, FNIMH, RH(AHG) , who's spent years exploring how herbalism can coexist with modern cancer care. Chanchal began her journey in herbalism and took that deep plant wisdom right into cancer research and care. We talking about how herbs can play a crucial role in supporting patients through their cancer journeys, from reducing treatment side effects to helping those in end-of-life stages find peace. We also get real about the politics of food, and how the system is set up to keep us sick. Good nutrition should be a right, not a privilege, ya know? It was truly a beautiful and inspiring conversations to have.In a world where health care is often a maze of complicated decisions, Chanchal shows us how herbs can offer patients not just physical relief but emotional and spiritual comfort as well. Whether you're an herbal enthusiast, someone touched by cancer, or just someone interested in alternative healing paths, you won't want to miss this one. Chanchal has an excellent new book out, Holistic Cancer Care, where she brings together her decades of research and hands on practice helping those with cancer care, and end of life times. Grab the book here.Be sure to find Chanchal online here, and follow her on IG. If you're super lucky, you'll get to spend some time touring her magical botanical healing gardens Innisfree Gardens. Have you explored the herbal lineages of your ancestral lines? Most of us come to plant medicine learning either the plants around us (which is a wonderful way to begin!) or studying a particular tradition (western, Chinese, Ayurveda, or a specific regional medicinal practice). But at this point in history, most of us have become pretty disconnected from our ancestral homelands, especially if we live in industrialized countries full or immigrants, colonists, or a history of forced migration. Because of this, many of us have lost our relationship to our personal ancestral plant traditions, and in that process, completely lost connection to the wisdom from our womb lineages as well. Before the individualized, industrialized, global-centric world we live in today, all of our ancestors had a relationship with plants as both food and medicine. And especially those in our womb lineage would have carried and passed on much of the home and family herbalist traditions, and midwives would have been carrying the wisdom of cycles and seasons of our lives. In simpler words, we all have womb lineages. And those lineages were often medicine carriers. Your cells hold this memory, and your wombspace does, too.Today's episode offers a glimpse into how you can begin to explore reconnecting to these lost parts of yourself, with your womb and the plants at the center. The idea of Spring Cleaning actually goes all the way back to ancient Egypt. We'll take a look at why Spring has become the time when we Clean House. And, while House Cleaning IS TERRIBLY, BORINGLY mundane, it does have magickal implications, and so we'll talk about some ways we can bring our Magick into our chores in some very powerful ways. While we're clearing out our attics, let's look for Crafty Ways to Rummage and Recycle. Afterall, "Repair, Re-fashion and Recycle" should be the watch words of the modern Pagan, right? But in the midst of all that work, we should take the time to stop and smell the flowers. So we'll talk about some Pagan ways for "Herbalism and Herbal Healing". Be well. Do good. Enjoy the show!

It's time for Spring Cleaning! And we'll also listen to Morganna Davies, with her story, "The Little People and the Hawthorne Tree"

She was mistaken for Mica, which is totally toxic and should be avoided. These are not the same thing. One is magical and the other is dangerous.
Blessings and welcome to the sonic sacred circle, Witches! So glad to be back in the Grove with all of you beautiful souls - I missed you! This episode I was asked some delicious questions, including who my favourite witch from history is - and I share my love of Tituba from Salem, Elizabeth Woodville, Anne Boileyn, Princess Diana (really) and more. Then we look into one of the most expensive tarot decks ever to go under auctioned - and why it was so prized, and ponder the ethics of practitioners claiming to remove covid from people’s bodies…usually after a hefty payment. Then I share a beautiful story with you all for Blessed Being - that of Airmid, the Irish Goddess, the shining one, the daughter of the Tuatha de Danaan, from whom our knowledge of herbs comes. I share her tragic (but very magickal) backstory, and include Airmid’s healing blessing for you all to work with. With music inspired by herbs, gorgeous sponsors Kohli Tea, Primal Healing and Blue Angel Publishing, this return of the Witchcast is a magickal sanctuary where you can come, be enchanted, and explore the worlds between the worlds with me.Lush, Pagan-tinged or fully-magickal herbal music by Simon and Garfunkel, Spell Songs and the Lost Words, and The Dolmen.
