If you have to build a keynote presentation, or any presentation for a large audience, what are the key areas to focus on? It can be hero/villian, preacher approach (tell, tell, tell), an analogy, partially educational. Lots of different approaches work. Put yourself in the audience's shoes. Who are they? Would they want to hear your story? What does the audience get out of your talk? THE KEY AREAS TO FOCUS ONAre you bringing the right level of energy for the room? Are you educating, or motivating, or introducing new ideas? Are you bringing empathy for your audience, or are you trying to portray confidence/leadership?Are you at the right level for the audience? Technical vs. Business. Prior knowledge required? What about a mixed audience? How are you interacting with the audience? Do they provide any feedback (raising hands, laughing at jokes, applause, etc.)?Plan for 2-3 minutes per slide. Try not to waste any slides. If you're introducing new ideas, don't make people listen AND read at the same time. Keep the visual simple and easy to view. “Sell” the important parts. Emphasize them. Alter the pace to ensure people get it. Use data (stats, graphs, charts) that make concepts easier to understand, or better emphasized.Use comparisons - especially with new ideas. Where you focus your visibility goals depends on the stage your business is at, what your priorities are, and where your target audience happens to be. Although our focus, both on the podcast and at the Podwize Group, is on pitching clients for visibility through podcast guest appearances, I've always been clear that the basics of pitching are the same, no matter the opportunity. Today's conversation with Shawn Fink touches on an opportunity I know many of us would LOVE to have: a paid keynote speaking opportunity. Shawn is a business design strategist who helps female entrepreneurs and creators cultivate brand demand. Tune in to hear how Shawn was able to connect with a warm contact at her target organization and provide clarity around her topic and its potential impact. I hope you'll be able to use some of that advice in your own pitches! Topics covered include: A little about Shawn's background and the concept of the Brave Yes Mindset Shawn's first attempt at pitching to the organizers of this particular group How a little research helped her to make a second pitch How the presentation went, the feedback Shawn received, and the unexpected opportunities that came from it Why taking risks can level up your business Full show notes and resources: https://thepodwizegroup.com/paid-keynote-presentation

S2_E50. The Well Keynote Day 2 – Four Clever Ways to Employ Visual Images that will Instantly Increase the Power of Your StorySupport the Show on Paypal@Missionranchfilms! EPISODE DESCRIPTION – There are things that we can do as a Christian community to up our game as storytellers and to not rely so heavily on message. Simply put, we must begin using visual images to convey deeper levels of meaning in our stories. We elevate the craft of writing and take our skills to the next level when we master these techniques. We will be able to accomplish Maya Angelou talks about, where our stories "slide past the brain and go straight to the heart." The way to accomplish this is through the employment of visual images, but how do we avoid drawing attention to our techniques? We want to engage the heart. And employing visual images helps us to accomplish this, but what exactly does that look like? Tune in to this keynote and you'll find out. In this special keynote presentation, Zena discusses key mistakes that faith-based writers make, which alienate audiences rather than give them life. Certain storytelling techniques bring "death," because they make readers feel judged, isolated, misunderstood, and hopeless. For storytellers who have a "message" for their readers, Zena shows a better way. Rather than preaching directly to the audience, Zena shows how to employ a story within the story in a way that allows the audience to eagerly receive. This episode will be of special interest to anyone who has personally struggled with trauma. Zena shares parts of her own story in a transparent, authentic way so as to unravel the concepts of which she speaks, including how we must enter into the "spiritual" realm through the muck and mire of humanity. After all, Christianity does not trump humanity. It is only through our humanness that truly spiritual things can be grasped.Support the show

He has extended that report's focus on housing in Black neighborhoods to include other assets such as businesses, schools, and banks. Host of Small Biz Florida, Tom Kindred interviews Dr. Andre M. Perry on his findings in his pioneering work on asset devaluation and keynote presentation at the Florida SBDC Network Annual Conference. For this episode of the Planet MicroCap Podcast, I spoke with Mark Jones. He is the Fund Manager at Pragmatic Capital Management. I recently came across Mark's interview with SumZero and, somehow, missed his fantastic interview on Toby's Acquirer's Podcast back in March 2019. I listened to both and thought this person needs to be on more shows to share his insights, and let's start here. I mean, he was talking about GameStop and AMC before it was in vogue. A true contrarian to the core and so excited to share our conversation. Not only that, I'm so stoked to announce Mark will be giving a Keynote Presentation at our upcoming virtual, the SNN Network Summer Virtual Event 2021. What’s something you wished you had done early on when building your thought leadership platform? What role has speaking played in developing your platform? Do you ever get vulnerability hangovers? If so, what strategies do you use to work through them? About Our Guests/Panelists: LuAnn Nigara is the host of the top-rated interior design podcast, A Well-Designed Business®, which recently surpassed 600 episodes and 3 million downloads. We all know that 2020 wasn't the best year, but it certainly had its fair share of great memories. We have been with our podcast for 3 years, but 2020 was the official year we began running Fempreneur Secrets as a business. Here's a tribute to our 2020 In this episode, you'll hear about: Our honest truth about running Fempreneur Secrets this 2020 Some of our future plans for Fempreneur Secrets Here's a tribute to our 2020 After I recorded this episode, my team and I went through the year's statistics to see how we can grow for 2021. As this was undeniably our very first official year, we did not expect a lot of big numbers. To our surprise, we had great results this year. While we honestly can improve in our revenue generation, we always remember our MISSION and seeing these numbers are truly inspiring for 2021. 420 Entrepreneurs Groomed We didn't want to leave our business future to chance. We went out of the way to reach out to organisations who wanted to support entrepreneurial movements. We were blessed with the contract to train self-employed persons who wanted to improve their business. Throughout the year, we have collectively groomed 420 entrepreneurs (men, women and others). 140 Hours Spent Training Entrepreneurs The 420 entrepreneurs above spent more than 140 hours with us, gaining clarity in their business, planning a strategy for their digital marketing efforts and even learning how to collaborate with one another. We've also spent time flying from Singapore to Brunei to train qualified leaders in their companies to be better marketers with “intrapreneurship” skills within them. 5 Media Mentions For a company as young as ours, we never anticipated having had multiple media mentions. In March, we were interviewed by Borneo Bulletin and Progresif Radio. In May, we were picked up by Singapore media, Detik (under BERITA Mediacorp) with our first TV Interview. Just a few weeks after that, we were interviewed by Marketing in Asia as a feature on their online publication. In August, we were picked up by Berita Harian, a local newspaper While these are the 5 media mentions we had, I also had the opportunity to be interviewed on Podcast shows and Facebook LIVEs of fellow entrepreneurs in Singapore and the rest of the world. 15 Women Entrepreneurs Interviewed As you may already know, we began our journey with Fempreneur Secrets Podcast. When lockdown or quarantine or Circuit Breaker was put into force in June, I began Fearless Fempreneur LIVE Show where I picked the minds of talented, skilled and fearless women entrepreneurs in Singapore and beyond. I had a blast learning from each and every single one of them, no matter how long they have been in business. We did interview more than 15 women entrepreneurs, but these 15 were the ones whose episodes were published officially. The rest will be published from January 2021 onwards. 5 Webinar & Keynote Presentations I must say, this was by-far the most exciting experience for me. Beginning Fempreneur Secrets, I knew I wanted to touch as many lives as I could. So, I didn't pass off on any speaking opportunities. I began the year with 2 webinars done for Freminear and WEdu International. I had 2 private webinars which I can't mention, and 1 Keynote Presentation for HultPrize Competition, Rajshahi University. That Keynote just took place last 25 December while we were resting for the holidays. We are not going to stop We know we are on the right track to achieve our mission. That's exactly why we want to invite you to Be part of this amazing community It's time to become the FEARLESS FEMPRENEUR you are meant to be. Stop the dreaming and start the doing.
