In this episode, Andrew welcomes Matt O'Mara, CEO and founder of Whimsy Intermodal and Whimsy Trucking. Matt's journey into the transportation industry began in 1994 when he worked as an owner-operator for a trucking company. When that company was acquired and its drivers let go, Matt seized the opportunity to start Whimsy Intermodal in 1996 and hired many of those drivers. Today, Whimsy has about 50 company drivers, 145 owner-operators, and 150 trucks. Andrew and Matt also cover:Whimsy's organic business growth and unique capability in handling challenging freight, the importance of finding consistency, and Whimsy's focus on execution, including how they add value beyond transportation. The significant challenges Matt ran into of implementing new TMS systems in a legacy company, the importance of team buy-in, and the eventual success of digitizing and going paperless, including leveraging AI for order entry and real-time driver coaching.Treating drivers with respect and providing robust support as the key to retention, highlighting the reason why Whimsy has a waiting list for owner-operators.The importance of transparency, leading by example and avoiding hypocrisy, and the critical role of communication, emotional intelligence, and self-awareness in leadership.Current market conditions, the lack of impact from Chinese New Year, potential tariff effects, and the critical need for robust infrastructure and processes.Follow The Freight Pod and host Andrew Silver on LinkedIn.*** This episode is brought to you by Rapido Solutions Group.

What makes Christian hope "Christian"? And what makes it "hope"? There is one thing that we don't often think of as crucial to Christian doctrine, but as the Apostle Paul pointed out, it is actually fundamental to our hope in Christ and our salvation: the physical resurrection of the dead in Christ when he returns in final victory.Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:12-28Visit us at: https://christchurchbham.comor Connect with us on social:Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/christchurchbham/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/christchurchbham/X: https://x.com/cc_bham/

Welcome to Revive Ministries Podcast. Envision a car ride across the country, and you sit next to a 7-year-old boy in the back seat, constantly asking questions about how long it will take and why. It may seem exhausting, but the curiosity and excitement remain awake. When was the last time I was excited to get anywhere or, better yet, ask myself “why” constantly due to my curiosity and excitement for what is next? This month, we are diving deeper into discovering our “why.” Why may it be important to have purpose when it comes to our daily lives and resilience? “The two most important days in life are the day you born and the day you discover the reason why.” – Mark TwainToday, we have a new guest, Matt O'Neil, to assist us in discussing this area while also sharing their own story along the way. Send us a text - your number will not show, so if you want a response include an emailIn Episode #140, I welcome back Matt O'Neill to discuss my all time favorite topic. The Root of ALL Love is Self-Love: If you don't love yourself, not only will your relationships never reach their full potential, but they may suffer.Celebrate Self-Love in February and Beyond: Use Valentine's Day as a reminder to love yourself first—whether that's through creativity, connection, or simply saying “yes” to joy (all acts of self-care).Practicing Small Acts of Self-Care will Grow Self-Love: Do something fun - yoga, meditate, hike, journal, take a bath, walk on the beach or visit a gallery—small acts that nurture you.Make a Fun List: Reconnect with joy by brainstorming activities that light you up—window shopping, live music, painting classes (axe throwing anyone?).Reframe “Fun” as “What Lights You Up”: Shift your mindset to focus on activities that make you feel alive and glad to be in the moment.Balancing Social Invitations: Evaluate whether going out will energize or drain you. Prioritize spending time with uplifting, inspiring people who recharge your spirit.Say Yes to Life's Opportunities: Inspired by Yes Man, consider saying “yes” to unexpected adventures that can bring growth, excitement, and joy into your life.Combat Isolation Post-COVID: Be intentional about breaking out of Netflix habits by seeking connection and activities that expand your world.Self-Love Through Boundaries: Every time you say yes to someone else's priorities, you could be saying no to yourself. Protect your time and energy without guilt. Pause before saying “yes” and explore if there are alternatives that will honor both yourself and your relationship.Life is the Story You Write: Recognize that every choice contributes to your life narrative. When you say yes to joy and self-love, you're writing a story filled with creativity, connection, and meaning.Connect with Matthttps://www.facebook.com/goodmoodmatt/https://www.linkedin.com/in/matt-o-neill-02528057/https://www.youtube.com/@goodmoodmattGet Matt's Book HereSHOW ME SOME LOVE Donate with PayPal (Expand Your Happy!)Donate with VenmoDonate using a credit card Support the showSupport this free content: https://www.buzzsprout.com/1547113/supporters/new Get The Happy Doc Student Handbook: https://www.amazon.com/dp/0578333732Other resources at: http://Expandyourhappy.com Want to make my day? Matt O'Connor - Honour Health Supplements www.Honour.health Social Media: @Honour.Health On this episode of Over 40 Fitness Hacks, Brad Williams chats with Matt O'Connor, founder of Honour Health Supplements, about the importance of high-quality supplements, transparency in the supplement industry, and optimizing nutrition for those over 40. Key Highlights: Matt's Journey and Honour Health's Mission: Matt shares his background in health, entrepreneurship, and his passion for creating transparent, high-quality supplements after discovering a lack of trust in existing brands. In Australia, regulations don't require full disclosure of additives in supplements, leading Matt to prioritize clean formulations and transparency in his products. Why Quality Supplements Matter: Differences in supplement quality, such as the bioavailability of ingredients, can significantly impact health outcomes. For example, not all magnesium forms are equally absorbed. Supplements should complement a whole-food diet and address nutritional gaps caused by modern farming practices and aging. Vitamins and Minerals: The Building Blocks: Key nutrients like magnesium, vitamin D, and zinc are essential for processes like muscle function, sleep, immune support, and hormonal health, especially for individuals over 40. Brad shares his experiences with supplements, emphasizing their role in improving his blood pressure, energy, and overall wellness. Supplement Timing and Absorption: Matt explains how supplement absorption can vary based on timing, form, and combinations. For example, certain minerals compete for absorption, so proper timing and balance are essential. Tips for the Over-40 Crowd: Start with whole foods, assess nutrient needs using tools like Cronometer, and supplement intelligently. Focus on foundational nutrients, particularly those that decline with age, such as magnesium, vitamin D, and zinc.
