This is the episode we've been waiting fifteen years to make. The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania has reportedly issued subpoenas to the Philadelphia Police Department, the Medical Examiner's Office, and other agencies—including the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office that Josh Shapiro ran when the case sat on his desk for four years.Sources tell the Philadelphia Inquirer this isn't about how Ellen Greenberg died. It's about whether the people who handled her case committed federal crimes.Ellen was found with twenty stab wounds, ten to the back of her neck, a knife lodged four inches into her chest. The medical examiner ruled it homicide. Then police objected. Then the ruling changed to suicide. Then the crime scene was cleaned—with police permission—before detectives could process it. Then James Schwartzman, Samuel Goldberg's uncle and Chairman of the Pennsylvania Judicial Conduct Board, removed laptops and phones from the apartment. Those devices later became the basis for the official suicide narrative—even though the original report said no suicidal searches were found. Now federal prosecutors want to know what happened. The statutes they're working with carry penalties up to life in prison. Deprivation of rights under color of law. Evidence tampering. Obstruction. Conspiracy.Governor Shapiro has presidential ambitions. His former spokesperson now works for Philadelphia's mayor. Schwartzman sits on the bench as a Pennsylvania judge. None of them have been charged—but all of them may have to answer uncomfortable questions to people who can compel the truth. The Greenbergs waited fifteen years for someone outside Philadelphia to take this seriously. Someone finally is.#EllenGreenberg #FederalInvestigation #JoshShapiro #JamesSchwartzman #PhiladelphiaCorruption #TrueCrime #HiddenKillers #CoverUp #ObstructionOfJustice #JusticeForEllenJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Subpoenas are going out. The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania is reportedly investigating whether people who handled Ellen Greenberg's case committed crimes — not whether she was murdered, but whether the investigation itself was corrupted. Robin Dreeke, former FBI special agent and behavioral analysis expert, explains the federal playbook: what simultaneous subpoenas to multiple agencies signal, how investigators identify who's likely to flip first, and what behavioral patterns emerge when institutions are hiding something. The crime scene was cleaned before detectives could execute a warrant. A politically connected family member removed electronic devices. The medical examiner changed his ruling from homicide to suicide after police pressure — then recanted that ruling under oath fourteen years later. Josh Shapiro's Attorney General office held the case for four years before discovering an "appearance of conflict" with connected families. Robin breaks down what that language actually means, why institutional silence from every agency is telling, and what the Greenberg family's attorney calling this "a dream come true" reveals about where the investigation is headed.#EllenGreenberg #FederalInvestigation #RobinDreeke #FBI #Philadelphia #SamGoldberg #TrueCrime #CoverUp #JusticeForEllen #HiddenKillersJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? State Attorney General Dave Sunday and the Bureau of Consumer Protection are warning scammers might take advantage of the recent winter storm and current cold weather. The snowstorm dumped anywhere from 9 to 15 inches of snow across Pennsylvania. This may come as a surprise today, but winter is still the fastest-warming season in the Philadelphia region. That doesn’t mean we can’t get serious cold snaps. An inmate at the state prison at Camp Hill has died. The state Department of Corrections has identified him as 46-year-old James Campbell, who was found unresponsive in his cell on Sunday. Outraged critics are accusing Donald Trump of “whitewashing history” after the National Park Service last week removed an exhibit on slavery at Philadelphia’s Independence National Historical Park. The Pittsburgh Steelers and Mike McCarthy have reached a verbal agreement for McCarthy to become the club's next head coach. McCarthy, a Pittsburgh native, it set to succeed Mike Tomlin, whose surprise departure created just the third job opening in Pittsburgh since 1969. Josh Shapiro told "CBS Mornings" "this mission is broken" when asked if the Trump administration has made enough changes following the latest fatal shooting by federal agents in Minneapolis. Parts of northern Mississippi are still covered by more than an inch of ice following the weekend's winter storm. Hundreds of National Guard soldiers will be deployed to help with recovery efforts in the state. Meanwhile, in Nashville, the ice storm also caused downed power lines and snapped trees across roads. Kati Weis has more. For the first time, Southwest passengers will have assigned seats -- a major change for the airline's longtime customers. The new policy also meant changing the cabin layout of every plane in the Southwest fleet to add new extra legroom and preferred seating sections. A 2025 YouGov poll shows nearly 40% of adults are estranged from an immediate family member. Dr. Sue Varma, a board-certified psychiatrist, discusses why we're hearing more about family estrangement, what factors play a role and what to consider before making a decision. Natalia Lafourcade is the most awarded woman in Latin Grammy history with 20 awards. This year, she's up for best Latin pop album at the Grammys, which would be her fifth Grammy if she wins. Excited to bring you this week's podcast which you can access here.We are now travelling to New York for the rehearsals for OCTOBER 7, our verbatim play, which will be performed at the Trump Kennedy Center on January 28. It's an amazing show. Please go to October7thePlay.com and buy your tickets (also linked below). Right after the October 7 massacres we went to Israel and interviewed the survivors, the bereaved, the heroes who fought back, and turned their pure testimony into the verbatim play that you need to go and see.We toured it Off-Broadway and at various college campuses across America where anti-Israel protests and anti-semitism became the norm. The New York Post said that the play was “spellbinding…powerful and a sanctuary for truth.”The mainstream media have threatened us with bad press if we didn't follow the flock of wannabe rebels who canceled their performances at the Trump Kennedy Center due to the name change. We have let them, and now you know, that we're not going anywhere! Please come to the Kennedy Center next week, we look forward to seeing you!The performance will be a staged reading, but with a twist. This week we talked to Jeff Gurner, the director of the Kennedy Center performance and as an actor did an amazing job playing the role of Zaki during its Off-Broadway run.Watch the scoop here to find out what's so special about this performance. And speaking of anti-semitism… Josh Shapiro, democrat Governor of the swing state, Pennsylvania, was considered but stupidly overlooked for the role of Vice President by the Kamala Harris campaign. He would've been the democrat party's best chance to look normal/not deranged and he was a popular governor in a crucial swing state. But he was rejected for TIM WALTZ!!! And now he is revealing it is because he was Jewish. You won't believe the questions he faced. And does the Abortion Pill harm women? The Senate finally begins to ask this question. Last week their hearing, “Protecting Women: Exposing the Dangers of Chemical Abortion Drugs,” probed the issue and the lies around it. Our second guest this week helped shift the narrative on the danger of the abortion pill when his findings revealed data that could not be ignored.Watch this week's scoop to find out the future of abortion (we hope lack thereof) in America. And please consider making a donation to the Unreported Story Society so that we can keep bringing OCTOBER 7 the play to audiences around the country, and hopefully around the world. We currently have a matching challenge going on so any donation that you make right now will have double the impact. Please use the link below. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit so your donation will be tax deductible. Please subscribe to our channel and leave a comment wherever you get our content. You may end up getting a mention on the show. And if you have finished watching the latest Scoop, bought your theater and maybe airplane tickets to come watch OCTOBER 7 in DC, and just don't know what to do with yourself in the meantime, subscribe to our Stories.io substack where we post news and views beyond the weekly show. The Greenland situation continues to look more theatrical than existential. To me, leaked private messages from Emmanuel Macron, public frustration from Donald Trump, and hurried diplomatic calls ahead of Davos all point to the same conclusion: this is pressure politics playing out in real time. Trump's irritation appears rooted less in Greenland itself and more in confusion over European military commitments and mixed signals from allies. That kind of misunderstanding is combustible, but it is also solvable, especially when everyone involved is about to be in the same conference rooms in Switzerland.Europe's response, though, has been pretty revealing. Ursula von der Leyen's declaration that the “old order is dead” was less a threat than a signal of insecurity. Europe wants leverage, and hinting at closer ties with China is one way to gesture at it. My priors remain that this all de-escalates quietly. The United States and Europe trade too much, rely on each other too deeply, and share too many strategic interests for this to spiral beyond bruised egos and tough talk. The laws of economics tend to win these fights.Politics Politics Politics is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.Immigration Enforcement and the Internal SplitBack at home, the most interesting fight is not between parties, but within the Trump administration itself. Tom Homan publicly arguing for better messaging around ICE operations is a tell. He understands that enforcement without a moral argument collapses under public scrutiny. His claim that roughly 70 percent of those arrested are criminals is clearly meant to counter the perception that ICE is acting indiscriminately, especially after the fatal shooting of Renee Good in Minneapolis. What stands out is who is not making that case. Kristi Noem, who has leaned heavily into the aesthetics of enforcement, has ceded the substance to Homan, and that imbalance matters. When enforcement becomes spectacle, it invites backlash. When it is framed as governance, it can sustain itself politically. The friction between Homan and Noem is, to me, the most important palace intrigue to watch in Trump's second term.Britain, Chagos, and Playing to the FutureSpeaking of our relationship with Europe, Trump's sharp criticism of the United Kingdom over the Chagos Islands is best understood through a political lens, not a strategic one. The deal to transfer sovereignty to Mauritius while leasing Diego Garcia back for 99 years is not new, nor was it opposed by Washington initially. Trump's reversal feels less about the base itself and more about aligning with figures like Nigel Farage, who benefit from confrontation with current European leadership. This is Trump playing a long game with the people he thinks will be in power next, not the ones currently holding office. Whether that gamble pays off is unclear, but it explains why a relatively obscure British territorial issue suddenly became Truth Social fodder. It is coalition maintenance, not military planning.Netflix, Warner Bros., and the End of Cable GravityFinally, Netflix's revised all-cash bid for Warner Bros. Discovery does a great job highlighting just how badly legacy media wants scale — and how selectively Netflix wants assets. Netflix does not care about cable networks. It wants intellectual property: Batman, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones. Paramount, by contrast, wants the whole thing in order to fight back against Netflix, and is willing to fight in court to get it.Hovering over all of this is CNN, which Netflix has no interest in owning and Paramount views as distressed but strategically important. Trump's recent reposts criticizing Netflix's cultural dominance suggest he may no longer stay neutral, which adds another unpredictable variable. This fight is not just about entertainment. It is about who controls narrative power in a post-cable world.Chapters00:00:00 - Intro00:05:47 - Justin and Kirk Bado on Republicans, Greenland, and Trump00:32:59 - Justin and Kirk Bado on Democratic Midterm Primaries00:49:20 - Justin and Kirk Bado on Josh Shapiro and 202800:59:51 - Steelers Talk01:13:25 - Update01:13:48 - Immigration01:16:30 - Chagos Islands01:21:16 - Netflix, Paramount, and Warner Bros.01:25:06 - Interview with Juliegrace Brufke on Congressional Vibes01:58:28 - Wrap-up This is a public episode. Josh Shapiro.First, they unload on the lunatics from the Racial Justice Network who barged into Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota, claiming one of the pastors also works for ICE. Jim and Greg chronicle the chaos, explain why the stunt was a blatant violation of the church's constitutional rights, and examine how far Don Lemon has fallen in attaching himself to this kind of spectacle.Next, they report on the head of Iran's judiciary declaring that demonstrators opposing the regime are “terrorists” who will be sentenced and punished swiftly. Terrorism is punishable by death in Iran. There are also multiple reports of rising death tolls. Will evidence that the killings have not stopped have an impact on President Trump? Finally, they react to Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro claiming that the Harris campaign asked him whether he was an Israeli agent or had been in contact with one. This is just the latest revelation demonstrating that one of the weakest presidential candidates in recent memory was even worse than we thought. Please visit our great sponsors:Protect your family with Ethos Life Insurance — get your quote in minutes at https://Ethos.com/3MLProtect your future with Noble Gold Investments — visit https://NobleGoldInvestments.com/3ML to download your free Gold & Silver Guide and learn how to build lasting financial security. Stay consistent with your skincare and save 15% with OneSkin — use code 3ML at https://Oneskin.co/3ML and let them know we sent you!New episodes every weekday.

Broadcasting live from the nation's largest Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service at Temple University, Michael Smerconish explores what's really driving America's political divide — and how we might begin to heal it. In a wide-ranging conversation on polarization, media, technology, loneliness, and the loss of common experience, Michael argues that the real problem isn't red vs. blue, but our failure to mingle. Joined by MLK Day of Service founder Todd Bernstein, Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker, and Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, the discussion focuses on civic engagement, volunteerism, political violence, and restoring shared purpose in American life. A powerful reminder that service, connection, and showing up for one another may be the most effective antidotes to division. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
