In this episode we break down the five attributes that show up in every great rebounder, and how to build each one in players who do not have length or leaping ability on their side. What we cover: Anticipation. Reading the shot before it leaves the shooter's hand. Understanding that most misses come back long and to the weak side, and how that knowledge gives a player a half second head start on the ball. Toughness and physicality. Rebounding is a contact skill and a decision, not a talent. The willingness to initiate contact and hold ground under the rim is what separates a rebounder from a tall player standing nearby. Positioning and technique. Finding a body, making contact, and going to get it. Hit and go, not hit and stand. Players who box out and then admire their work hand the ball right back.
