Jabra Nicola, Matzpen and a Socialist Perspective on Israel/Palestine, w/ Moshe Machover Jabra Nicola (1912-1974) was arguably the most far-sighted Palestinian marxist of the 20th century. He was an important influence on Matzpen, a socialist group of Jewish Israelis and Palestinians whose analysis of Zionist settler colonialism had an international impact much greater than the group's very small size. This episode is an interview with Moshe Machover, the only founding member of Matzpen still alive, about Nicola, the politics of Matzpen, and their relevance today. Host Joseph Backholm is joined by The Washington Stand's Sam McCarthy. Educators and schools have a powerful influence on what the next generation values and believes. Children spend close to 16,000 hours in the classroom so what are they absorbing? Sam & Joseph discuss the importance of parents instilling critical thinking and morality within their children. Patel is a Growth Coach & Soul Mentor for High-Achievers. Business Owners, Founders, Spiritual Leaders, and celebrated Artists come to Jaymin after they've explored all the other coaches and want to explore their EDGE. In addition to being a (TEDx) speaker who has delivered 500+ paid talks and being an author of 8 books, Jaymin is a highly sought-after, heart-driven, no-fluff, intuitive coach who has been hired by powerful leaders in the spiritual & transformational communities as well as top leaders of corporations around the world like Kraft, Unilever, and Citibank. Jaymin has been invited to speak at prestigious stages like Harvard Business School, The London School of Economics, ASAE, and has consulted for high level strategy programs for national governments globally, most recently Saudi Arabia. Most importantly, Jaymin is a dad of two incredible kids and shares a beautiful conscious relationship with his wife, Eri. He and his family are currently living on the tropical island of Bali. Here are the highlights of this episode: Jaymin ideally loves to work with business owners or those who have reach some level of success in their lives and started to wonder "what's next?". They also felt like something is missing or they are not as passionate as they thought they would be when they reach that point. Jaymin wants to help these high-achievers to feel that connection of excitement for being on that place every day. The mistakes that these folks make is they would think that they need to 'create more' or 'do more' and 'do more' in order to be fulfilled. They think doing that thing that got them from where they are is going to lead them somewhere new but it doesn't. It's adding fuel to that fire to keep them in that rat race instead of leading them to a place that unlocks them to their greatest potential. People wonder "Why is it that success isn't satisfying for long" and Jaymin said that success is one of the components, so is impact, and happiness. And if you'll make that one component your full or only goal, then you're leaving so much of that full picture. And it won't be satisfying for long because your soul would be wanting to experience what life has to offer. When you see that everything relates in life and put them together, then you will reach that goal of living a life that's fully lived. Jaymin's Valuable Free Action (VFA): Two questions to ask yourself: First Who are you being as a partner, as a parent, as a friend, as a business owner or anything that defines your top 5 roles of your life. "Who are you being right now?". The second question to ask yourself is "who do you need to be for miracles to occur as a partner, as a parent, those 5 roles of your life. When you tune in to who you are now and who you need to be for those miracles to occur, you will then reconnect to that feeling that everything is possible.

Three things we bring to every relationship. Energy Time Resources Energy Definition - The strength and vitality required for sustained physical, emotional or mental activity. Tailor your life to things that express and create passion. Be aware of obsessions and obligations. Synergy comes from energy. Rest is a big part of creating energy. Ask the question, ‘Is this energy producing or energy draining?' Every yes is a no to something and every no is a yes to something else. Time By being intentional with our time we can direct the intensity of our relationships. When we set boundaries with our time we honor others and ourselves. Time is a language it is meant to help us with connection. It is not meant to create stress and obligation. (There's never enough time) This is a reflection of our priorities, the amount of time in a day. Let's talk about our culture's relationship with time: Time is money. What time is it? How much time do we have left? Do you have time for this? Where did the time go? Spending quality time. Time Flys. Time waits for no one. I'm just killing time. Two words for time in the ancient Greek language Chronos - the kind of time measured by a ticking clock or turning the pages on a calendar. It is the time we use as we try to meet deadlines. We cite it in numbers. Kairos - represents time in the moment that is opportune. It is mystical time that is experienced in festivals and fantasies and cannot be controlled or possessed. giving everything into that moment and receiving everything it has to offer. It is here we are to be truly present, not rushing toward the next thing. Are you present in your time. It is important to determine where we want to be effective and where we want to be efficient. Effective in the inner relationships, efficient in the outer relationships. Every yes is a no and every no is a yes. Time Budgeting: For awareness of where our time is going we encourage people to look at their time like they look at their budget. A couple of key components we can borrow from a healthy budget are: Know where our time goes. Pay ourselves first. What we do with our discretionary time is crucial. Invest in long term. The key is not spending time, it's investing in it. -Stephen Covey- Everyone has the same amount of time. 1440 minutes every day. And you get another 1440 every day but you have to spend it today. By being intentional with our time we can direct the intensity of our relationships. When we set boundaries with our time we honor others and ourselves. We can serve time which sounds more like a prison sentence or allow time to serve us. Questions to Ask Self: Do I know where my time is going? How much do I pay myself first with my time every week? How am I spending my discretionary time? Who or what am investing in long term? If I were invest my 1440 minutes today, how would I spend them. Resources There are two types of resource, tangible and intangible. Tangible - Money, cars, houses, Intangible - Personality traits, gifts, temperaments There are three categories of resources Status - Give us value in the appraisal of others Stress - Give pressure for ourselves and from others Service - Give us pleasure for ourselves and to others Explore what it is like to live a life where resources serve to grant pleasure instead of create pressure. Pleasure for self to be shared for the pleasure of others. Excess turns all gifts into curses Be present in the purchase. Ask why? Do my relationships serve my resources or do my resources serve my relationships?
Episode 33: New Wine New Wineskin is a testimony about restoration and the goodness of God. God loves us so much that he hates sin. Sin separates us from God and hurts those around us. It is his will that we turn from our sin and toward him, run into the arms of our Father, and receive restoration and wholeness. The work on the cross is a finished work; embrace what God has given you, and sin no more. A message from our special guest speaker Mrs. Paula Loucks, daughter of the King. Emily chats with Ph.D. Research Fellow, Daniel Ranson (@mrdanielranson), who is now a convert to mindfulness as a coping mechanism for anxiety, in addition to therapy, medication, and insight from a mental health practitioner. Dan opened up previously, in episode 4, about perfectionism and OCD tendencies that progressively worsened from his undergraduate degree, onwards. TW: Anxiety and a suicide attempt This episode touches on medication and its side effects, the principles of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and how Dan found his therapist, how to get past the negative connotations of ‘therapy' eg. treating CBT as a gym for your mind, insight from having a mental health practitioner in the home, helping Dan's family understand how to interact with someone who is mentally ill, the power of company, taking charge and making decisions for someone that is mentally ill and struggling to make their own eg. Let's go get a coffee, breaking down the barriers to embracing mindfulness – Dan never thought he would use this approach. He used to see it as some form of ‘Buddhist chanting', not opening up to anyone in academia, we are the next generation – we should model it for the way we want, what we think a PhD is going to be like and what it is are often very different things. Resources: There are a variety of apps (often free!) available to help people manage mental health. Dan recommends Headspace, Calm, Buddhify Matt Haig books ie. ‘Reasons to stay alive' PhD: Addicted to Research podcast (available on iTunes, Spotify, Acast etc). Daniel is part of his own podcast! What You’ll Learn From This Episode:How to attract new clients in a simple and effective wayWhen NOT to use the 'essential model' in marketingWhat 'power offer' is all aboutRelated Links and Resources:There's two resources; they can go to www.joelerway.com they can see all my brand-building content, free content, we are on the stage of trying to scale. Second place that you can go, is they can go to www.newwaytolaunch.com and that's going to teach all about this model.Summary:People call Joel Erway “The Webinar Guy” but that’s a tiny slice of his expertise. Joel’s a master at selling high-ticket products. And, after trying and failing to grow his business using paid traffic, he innovated 3 game-changing concepts: The Power Offer, the Mini Webinar, and the Perfect Expert Model. They’ve made him and his client’s $50+ million over the past few years. He’s also a long-time podcaster and the host of Sold with Webinars and Experts Unleashed. Here are the highlights of this episode:1:38 Joel’s ideal Client: My client is a coach or a consultant, somebody who considers themselves as an expert. They got a high-ticket offer; they've got a customer-based and they can serve them at a top level. They have tremendous results but they have a hard time packaging their information, and packaging their expertise in a way that attracts new clients consistently.2:19 Problem Joel helps solve: The main problem that they're struggling with is that they are too close to their own business; meaning they just want to serve their customers but they don't know how to attract new clients in a simple and effective way. And so, the main problem that I help them solve is solving that messaging issue, helping them craft their message that attracts new clients consistently without any sort of long, complicated funnels or brand dynamics.3:21 Typical symptoms that clients do before reaching out to Joel: Feelings and emotions are frustration, confusion and overwhelmed; those are the main three. They've been studying marketing for some time, they understand that they need marketing, they're probably relying on networking or referrals. They've probably been told they need to constantly post on social media, maybe direct message people. That's an arduous task, that's the hassle mentality. Does it work? Yes. Is it scalable? No. As solopreneurs or people who operate with small teams, no more probably an assistant or maybe a couple of subcontractors, they need to be able to fill-up their pipeline without some crazy complex funnel that digital marketers love to sell. I'm not throwing stones at different marketers; I am a digital marketer myself but there is a simple and easy method out there that people can follow without being overwhelmed of the tech or all the complex marketing sequences that are being slang out there by most Internet marketers.4:58 What are some of the common mistakes that folks make before finding Joel and his solution: The biggest mistake that they're trying to do is that they're trying to follow the typical 'essential model' which is put out free content, whether it's a lead market whether it's an E-book, whether it's any number of free types of resources out there. Then, build that relationship with the client or with that prospect then eventually down the road, you'll be able to sell them something. Does that work? Yes, it does but for many people who are stuck in like 'need-clients' now, that's the last thing that you should be doing. Because building your list, building your audience with freebie seekers is going to make you feel warm and fuzzy because you have a large list now, you have a large audience but, they're not going to be paying you. I've seen it happen time and time again. That's called the essential model, you give something for free, down the road, they eventually pay for your stuff. What we do, is that we do the exact opposite. We lead with an offer. meaning like we're just focused on crafting our offer first,
What You'll Learn From This Episode:How to attract new clients in a simple and effective wayWhen NOT to use the 'essential model' in marketingWhat 'power offer' is all aboutRelated Links and Resources:There's two resources; they can go to www.joelerway.com they can see all my brand-building content, free content, we are on the stage of trying to scale. Second place that you can go, is they can go to www.newwaytolaunch.com and that's going to teach all about this model.Summary:People call Joel Erway “The Webinar Guy” but that's a tiny slice of his expertise. Joel's a master at selling high-ticket products. And, after trying and failing to grow his business using paid traffic, he innovated 3 game-changing concepts: The Power Offer, the Mini Webinar, and the Perfect Expert Model. They've made him and his client's $50+ million over the past few years. He's also a long-time podcaster and the host of Sold with Webinars and Experts Unleashed. Here are the highlights of this episode:1:38 Joel's ideal Client: My client is a coach or a consultant, somebody who considers themselves as an expert. What You’ll Learn From This Episode: How employees help in driving profitability in the organization The mistake of business operators assuming employees understand financial implications Why sharing company's financial status to everyone is beneficial Related Links and Resources: There's a book that I just published which is called "The Baker's Dozen Rules of Highly Successful Business Operators." You can contact at neville@bizwisdom.com and put the title "Free Baker's Dozen" and I will be happy to send you a free digital copy. Summary: Neville Joffe is regarded as a world authority on the subject of “bridging the gap between corporate financial goals and employee performance. Neville has trained internationally with many of the world’s leading companies and has also worked extensively with entrepreneurs and especially those in growth mode. He has been featured in various news publications and several industry-specific newspapers and is a sought-after speaker. He has written and published several textbooks that accompany his patented teaching method for use in community colleges and universities. Neville’s creative style of education has won him numerous awards, including the conversion of his system into Braille for the visually impaired. Here are the highlights of this episode: 2:24 Neville’s ideal Client: My ideal clients are scaling entrepreneurs who are likely going to hit the cashflow wall at some point during the growth experience. 2:46 Problem Neville helps solve: Business operators both in large and small businesses cannot do it alone. They need the employees to help them drive profitability in the organization. In fact, I would like to frame it like this: the employees are the custodians over the company's profits. And it's bridging the gap between objectives and performance. 3:26 Typical symptoms that clients do before reaching out to Neville: First that comes to mind having being an entrepreneur for a quarter of century is the absolute frustration that people make decisions that appeared to be really stupid, but they're not really. They just have limited frame of reference, and that changes your numbers in isolation. This is a huge frustration for mostly business operators. I wish that they think like a business owner. 4:11 What are some of the common mistakes that folks make before finding Neville and his solution: Business operators tend to assume that the employees understand the financial implications of operational behavior. The reality is a lot of employees think that revenue are profits, and that profits means cash in their banks and they seem to think that the owner is making billions of dollars out of their business. Without realizing that there's only a 'fraction' of revenues left at the end. So again, I use the term that they tend to look at numbers in isolation without really understanding the financial implications of trade meth (method), like how much volume are you selling at a discount. These are kinds of problems that arise that are so frustrating to business operators at a daily basis. 5:14 Neville’s Valuable Free Action (VFA): That's an easy one Bill; just share your numbers. You cannot reasonably expect your employees to perform and to manage expectations when they are totally naive of the financial implications of what they do. They're living in a vacuum. Share your numbers and never assume that they understand basic trade methods and understand the whole notion of revenue versus profit versus cashflow. Don't assume it. 6:10 Neville’s Valuable Free Resource (VFR): For those of you who can see this, there's a book that I just published which is called "The Baker's Dozen Rules of Highly Successful Business Operators." Very exciting, the chapters are about to evaluate the numbers on isolation, revenues or vanity, profits or sanity, cashflows' reality..there are so many wonderful chapters in this book. We've probably all heard of biases, but what are they? In short, they're the lens in which we view the world. But where do our biases come from, how do they take shape, and how do we pursue viewing things differently if those lenses no longer serve us?Resources:There are so many good books on the bias so we are not going to recommend one, but we suggest you do a search on Amazon and choose the one that you need for you right now.Don't forget to Subscribe!

And then the second thing is going to my website, www.MarkVictorHansen.com. We've got a couple of free resources. Summary: Mark Victor Hansen is widely known as an American inspirational and motivational speaker, trainer, author, serial entrepreneur, and member of multiple board of directors. He is best known as the founder and co-creator of the “Chicken Soup for the Soul” book series, with more than 500 million books sold. In the area of human potential, no one is better known and more respected than Mark Victor Hansen. For more than 44 years, he has focused solely on helping people and organizations reshape their personal vision of what’s possible. His powerful messages of possibility, opportunity, and action have helped create startling and powerful change in thousands of organizations and millions of individuals worldwide. With his open, honest, endearing charismatic style, Mark captures his audience’s attention as well as their hearts. With his one-of-a-kind technique and masterful story-telling ability, he is one of the most dynamic and compelling speakers of our time. Mark is the founder of MEGA Book Marketing University, MEGA Speaking Empire, and MEGA Marketing Magic, and Enlightened Millionaire Institute. Here are the highlights of this episode: 2:09 Mark’s ideal Client: Somebody that can think; usually my books are predominantly sold to women (87%) and I think women are the visionary leaders of the future; leaders that can lead because they are more likely trained as comprehensivist. I think they are the most comprehensive, thoughtful, great leaders, great thinkers, analyzers, and they get their multi-tasking par excellence. 2:43 Problem Mark’s helps solve: I've been in 80 countries with my wife and we discovered great people that are professional, educated, smart, but the difference in those who succeed little and those who are vastly successful in fulfilling their destiny have one thing only - they have the power to ASK. They are what we call 'Master Asker'. So, we created it for free: askthebookclub.com, and once a month, Crystal and I talk to everybody. 3:45 Typical symptoms that clients do before reaching out to Mark: Because our book is sort of brand new called 'Ask! The Bridge from Your Dreams to Your Destiny' we got 121 letters and generally we wouldn't have taken time to read them. But we started to read them and they said "look, I've been in the pits, I've been despondent, disconsolate, depressed. I was going to commit suicide" Someone else said you're doing this thing and you're telling me Socrates said 'the unexamined life isn't worth living'. I need to discover who I am, who my friends are, who I am in God's beingness and territory. So, we teach 400x that before you go to bed, you ought to ask yourself "God, what is your destiny for me?" and that illumination will come prior in the middle of the night. We tell you to pre-alert your spouse or sweetheart. That notepad that you're going to wake him up probably and write "Holy cow, I know what to do next" because so many people are having to pivot, reinvent and reorient themselves. Because somewhere around 30 to 50 percent of people are going to be unemployed or underemployed after the Covid. 5:12What are some of the common mistakes that folks make before finding Mark and his solution: We say there are 7 self-sabotaging detours in asking, and the first one is a sense of unworthiness. The next one is a sense of fear, false evidence appearing as real. The third is disconnection, where you just go "wait, I can't do anything about it" and for that one we're saying "look,

How are you? Those three words seem so simple, so short, combined in the right order to make a really simple question that should be easy to answer. When the world turns upside down, whatever the inflection we use when we ask this question, the longing we feel for one another remains. In unfamiliar times, when the world turns upside down, we find ourselves in a Waiting Place, a place after what we had known to be but before we feel confident in our life once again. That Waiting Place is a time of not knowing, the place of not yet. It is a place that has been with humanity since the beginning. Life can get busy. Period. It just does. It gets hectic, even. And all of us have heard that refrain about the benefits of having a quiet moment for mindfulness. Call it meditation or call it prayer, it can sometimes be difficult to find those moments of quiet. When we’re lucky (or blessed, depending on your perspective), we can find those quiet moments and gain some quiet space in our minds and hearts. But, just outside the door to that quiet space, the concerns of the day, the week, the world, our lives can sometimes loom in our thoughts, filling our quiet time with static.I have to think I’m not alone in this experience. So, what if we try something a little different. Rather than naming it “meditation” or “prayer”, what if we Just Breathe… What could happen then?Links & Resources: There are some wonderful, supportive resources online. This week we explore how to work with the manifestations of trauma in your body, and coming out of your head and into your body, and doing what you love as a rich way of healing yourself. We talk about different forms of therapy for treating trauma in the body. Check out Peter Levine, a leading light in trauma therapy and a very nice man. We talk titratation - releasing trauma responses bit by bit - and pendulation - moving back and forth between resourced experiences and touching on traumatised parts of yourself in a manageable way. We wang on about yoga, societal bamboozlement and addiction and our stand-up comedy nightmares. Reminder: Trauma is not who you are. It is possible to heal, and it can be a lot quicker than you think. NOTE we mention Bruce Lyons. JUNO wears many hats in her music career, and in this episode of the podcast we dive into how she got her start in music, her experiences touring the world with amazing musicians, her album Help Is Not on the Way, and JUNO's Guitar School. We have a great discussion about the Black Lives Matter movement, how important it is for everyone to educate themselves, and how JUNO uses her voice and her guitar school to create positive opportunities, to bridge the gap with mentorships and community. JUNO has some incredible stories to tell with an empowering message, so be sure to listen to this episode from start to finish. And be sure to give her album Help Is Not on the Way a listen! Quotes that Stood Out:“I think a lot more women need to step up and own their music and learn the instrument, learn how to use logic and Pro Tools, learn how to edit yourself. You know what I'm saying? Because we don't need all the stuff we have. And I think that's what the quarantine has really taught us.”“You know, but telling a story, to me is the most important part of my music, because I feel like everything else is just making noise. But when I'm telling a story, I feel like I'm leaving something behind that's valuable.”“Playing for celebrities has been awesome. But it's not the most valuable thing I've done. And I always tell people that because it's important. Your goal if you can be whatever you want to be right in your community that will expand and grow.”“It's not about me, and that's the point. If everyone can say that, “it's not about me” it's about the whole. And if we can all get on...how can we be on the same level? Today's episode is all about Marketing your practice. I share some of the hurdles I have had to jump in order to help my business grow. And after a decade, I still have more work to do in this area! I share the construct that I use to frame "marketing" in a way that has helped me to embrace it versus fear it. No matter how you feel about marketing, I encourage you to find one approach the clicks with you and your comfort zone and steadily inch forward until the fear is comfortable. Are you a lightworker or an empath. In this episode I explain what lightworkers are and the role they play in healing and in raising our future vibrations. There is a reason so many celebrities, healers and spiritual teachers are Lightworkers...they feel good to be around. They also help others dig through their own shadows to find the light and love, ignite self healing, and are powerful manifesters. I will also discuss Empaths, and their ability to feel the pain and emotions of others and transmute it. Even from simply over hearing an argument or watching a violent movie. If you've ever been told “You're too sensitive,” or feel ill or extremely tired around toxic people or situations, then there is a good chance you're an empath...Fear not, it's a special gift when understood and embraced. I will also mention: How to stay clear of toxic relationships (Abusers love lightworkers and empaths) Tips to replenish your energy from emotional vampires How to heal and let go from past pain How to embrace your light and share your gifts Resources: There are so many different resources, pick what resonates https://foreverconscious.com/10-signs-you-are-on-the-lightworker-journey (https://foreverconscious.com/10-signs-you-are-on-the-lightworker-journey) https://www.thelawofattraction.com/lightworker-7-signs/ (https://www.thelawofattraction.com/lightworker-7-signs/) https://sarahprout.com/signs-you-are-a-lightworker/ (https://sarahprout.com/signs-you-are-a-lightworker/) https://artoflivingretreatcenter.org/blog/empath-self-assessment-quiz/?utm_source=Google&utm_medium=Search&utm_term=&utm_campaign=Google_Search_DSA&utm_content=3Q&gclid=Cj0KCQiA4sjyBRC5ARIsAEHsELGawLN28biVkfJ0ugIcbWd74DbpJeqiuX9u_mU7GYetW5WCE3J0yrgaAsu-EALw_wcB (Empath-self-assessment-quiz) https://www.buzzfeed.com/whitneyjefferson/are-you-an-empath-quiz (Are You an Empath Buzzfeed) *Namaste: “The Soul [divine] in me, bows to the soul in you.” A beautiful salutation in the ancient language of sanskrit to say, “I see you.”
Summary: Brett boldly initiates an unscripted, unplanned, honest conversation about his friendship with Jake and various things getting in the way of their fellowship. Key points: - Brett apologizes for not being a good friend as of late - Suggestions and interpretations can given from the evil one - We can harbour negative interpretations and reactions that aren’t good for relationships - Deep brotherhood is unfortunately uncommon - The interpretation(s) we make of someone’s actions, or lack thereof, are very powerful and potentially damaging - There is great value to acknowledge if something seems off in an important relationship and talk about it - Addressing the reality of a relationship can be scary - We can just let the weeds take over a relationship - We have to fight for the things that matter - “A faithful friend is a sturdy shelter: he that has found one has found a treasure. There is nothing so precious as a faithful friend, and no scales can measure his excellence. A faithful friend is an elixir of life; and those who fear the Lord will find him.” (Sirach 6:14-16) - It’s important to acknowledge and address our “brother wounds” - Generally, there are two types of wounds: A - absence of something that should have been there, B - some bad that happened - The intensity and duration of wounds are other factors that matter - Dr. Bob Schuchts is a great Catholic psychologist who offers healing retreats Discussion Questions: - What struck you from this episode? - What gets in the way of your friendships with other men? - What friend might you need to repair with? How can you do that? Resources: - “There is nothing on this earth more to be prized than true friendship” (St. Thomas Aquinas) - Dr. Bob Schuchts

Hey Mama! And welcome to episode #115 of The 6-Figure Mompreneur Podcast! I'm so excited for this new shift and direction in the podcast and I hope you are too! To celebrate the new focus, today's episode revolves around the action behind becoming a 6-figure mompreneur. With every single coach I've ever worked with I've always wanted to know the action behind their success. What do they do daily that contributes to their success? What habits do they have? What do they actually do in their business? What does their life look like? All of these things contribute to their success and after years of researching, interviewing, and asking 6-figure mompreneurs about these things, I've discovered some commonalities, that are not what I thought I'd find! So in today's episode I'm sharing with you what I've learned over the past 3+ years regarding what it actually takes to create a 6-figure online business. I'm sharing the habits, the focus, and the purpose behind the action that 6-figure earners create in order to chase down the type of success they are striving towards. In this episode of the Mega Marketer Coach Cast Justin Jacobs and Melissa Broadus discuss the benefits of being an ACCA member. Find out why the ACCA is the place to be for contractors and what resources are available to help you grow your contracting business. Main Questions Asked: What is the ACCA? What are some of the tools are resources you offer? How do you reach out to contractors? What are the largest benefits of going to a conference? Key Lessons Learned: ACCA The ACCA is the Air Conditioner Contractors of America, they are a national trade association and they represent all the HVAC contractors in the industry. They create the standards in the industry that help contractors install equipment the right way and pick the right material to work with. ACCA also acts as an advocate on Capitol Hill to help explain the contractor side of the equation. The ACCA story is the story of contractors. They also offer training in all aspects of the business. Taking the good information that is available in the ACCA forum and duplicating it in your business is a great way to grow and avoid making mistakes. Asking questions will get answers from contractors all over the country and of all sizes. You can get access to good ideas from contractors that aren’t competing with you but have still been in the same position as you. Knowing who to talk to to break through to the next level can be priceless. Every contractor needs to be at the national ACCA conference. It is a contractor lead mega learning event with an expo as well. Learning takes place everywhere. Having a different perspective is a great way to refresh your business. Tools and Resources There is a lot of material available in the ACCA blog, content that is only available to members. The blog is a great way for contractors to get inside info on the industry. ACCA also offers webcasts that bring in experts to share their accumulated wisdom. For the techs in the membership, the downloads that they make available is another great resource. Being a member of the ACCA also gets you on their contractor locator which makes it very easy for customers to locate them. Contractors love to talk to other contractors. The forum gives them a place to connect with other contractors and share what they’re learned. Outreach Contractors are a multi-generational bunch so to reach them ACCA has to use a number of different outreach methods. For some that means the fax machine or direct mail, and for others that can be digital. If you send out a stunning, informative direct mail piece, you are going to see a good return on that. Direct mail works and is worth the time and money. You’re dealing with different people that consume media in different ways. You have to use the different tools available. You have to tell the story, not just asking the person to buy something. Calls to action are important but you have to explain why it’s worth their time. People don’t like to be sold to on social media. 80% of your social media content should be helpful, valuable, or entertaining. Thank you for listening! Dr. Mahayana Dugast is a success mentor, author, and the founder of the NeuroBiology Reprogramming™ -- NBR™. With 30 years of experience, Dr. Dugast aims to help individuals reach their full potential while improving their personal empowerment at the same time and in this interview she helps us take a deeper look at ourselves and how we tick. In this episode, we discussed why people DO things that other people DON’T, and why others DON’T do those things that others would. Dr. Dugast also shares the role of the subconscious mind and how it influences in what we think, feel, do, and don’t do. She also talked about how our businesses are merely reflections of US as entrepreneurs. We also covered how each of us are powerful, and has so much potential that life demands us (by throwing challenges our way ) to expand regardless of where we are right now. Dr. Dugast also reminded us of the words of Albert Enstein that if we want to create something different, we have to think differently about it – and doing so involves tapping into our personal values and belief systems. We also covered NBR™ which she describes as a three step method of the knowledge and application of how an individual function as a being. We also touched on how it is different from NLP which is using the conscious mind; NBR™ is a way of life. She also discussed how there is no general recipe to success, as each of us are different from each other and what works for one may not work for others. We also touched on how it is not ideal to reprogram your conscious mind because your conscious mind – your behaviour, your language is the RESULT of and NOT the CAUSE of the problem. Dr. Dugast talked about EXTRAORDINARY intelligence -- the natural intelligence which is your ability to access your superior mind – this includes inspiration, and innovation among others. She also shares the 3 backbones of NBR™. They are: Modern Mindfulness: Turning adversity to your advantage. Break Down Who You Are: Understand how you tick. The Cosmic Joke: The conscious mind is the last one to know anything - clearing the subconscious is where it is at! Clearing the thoughts that says you can't do it Golden Nugget Round Question 1 – What would you tell your 25 Year Old Self? Life is just about to get more amazing every year and you would not believe what you are able to create in this lifetime. Question 2 – What would you lecture at University today? I would love for there to be a subject to be called Personal Science, which will be about knowing who you are. Question 3 – What was your biggest investment or financial decision? Investing in a mentor and a coach, getting help.
