How do you know the tray you just opened is truly ready for your patient? This conversation with Kevin Anderson highlights why tray assembly is about far more than checking off a count sheet. From instrument function testing and damaged equipment to borescopes, insulation testing, and missing items, this episode reveals the science behind building a dependable tray. Tray Streeter grew up in Syracuse, Utah. Like many children, he spent much of his childhood drawing, though he was especially interested in still lifes. That fascination with technique deepened in his teenage years after he received a set of oil paints for Christmas, leading him to study the works of John Singer Sargent and Caravaggio. Portraiture became his passion, one that continues to influence his work today. It was not until adulthood, when he began working digitally, that he turned his attention to sci-fi and fantasy art. The genre offered him the freedom to create artworks that exist beyond reality. Influenced by artists like Frank Frazetta and Alex Ross, he aims to combine both the drama and technique of classical painting with the sleek, contemporary possibilities of digital art. Currently, Tray is attending Weber State University, pursuing a BFA in Art with a 2D emphasis. After graduation, he hopes to continue his studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Ultimately, he aspires to illustrate for Dungeons & Dragons, work on cover illustration for comics, and develop his own original concepts. Joseph Sidari lives in the Boston suburbs with his wife and a delightfully spoiled labradoodle named Chloe, who takes him for walks twice a day. As a practicing physician, he works hard caring for his patients while trying to kill off his protagonists. He is a current member of the Grub Street Writers Group of Boston and a former member of the Spacecraft Writers' Group. He's been a lifelong fan of reading speculative fiction, but only started writing it after flipping his bicycle during triathlon training. Typing at his computer felt like a less risky hobby, so that summer, with his wrist on the mend, he wrote a novel. Then another. On his third attempt, he found an agent who suggested that writing short stories could help build his reputation while the book was being shopped around. The manuscript never sold, but he realized short stories were fun, too. Since then, he has earned multiple honorable mentions in the Writers of the Future contest and two Silvers, while publishing several short stories—though not enough to “pro out." Send a textThis week's enterprise software headlines highlight a market simultaneously accelerating into agentic AI while still wrestling with the structural and legal fallout of past transformation failures. On the innovation front, Genstore's $10M seed round, Tray.ai's launch of the Tray Agent Hub, and new agentic releases from Mendix and OutSystems underscore how aggressively vendors are repositioning around autonomous workflows and AI-first orchestration layers. ServiceNow's unveiling of its AI Experience and Plex's connected worker integration push the same narrative into IT service management and manufacturing operations, signaling that agentic concepts are no longer confined to experimental edges of the stack. At the same time, a parallel storyline of governance and execution risk is playing out, with Zimmer Biomet's $172M ERP lawsuit against Deloitte, Europe's continued delays fixing a troubled Oracle system, Daedong USA's faltering ERP injunction, and the EU Commission's investigation into SAP's practices reinforcing how fragile large-scale enterprise transformations remain. Together, these developments paint a bifurcated 2026 landscape: rapid platform innovation driven by AI ambition on one side, and unresolved accountability, regulatory scrutiny, and implementation risk on the other. In today's episode, we invited a panel of industry analysts for a live discussion on LinkedIn to analyze current enterprise software stories. We covered many grounds including the direction and roadmaps of each enterprise software vendors. Send us a textThis week's enterprise software news highlights a widening gap between glossy innovation narratives and the hard operational and governance realities shaping buyer risk. On the innovation side, BlackLine's launch of Verity for the Office of the CFO, Tray.ai's Agent Hub, Genstore's $10M seed round, and Blue Yonder's new TMS features underscore the accelerating push toward AI-enabled automation and orchestration layers across finance, integration, and supply chain. Versori's partnership with Fluent Commerce and Acumatica's 2025 R2 update further signal growing emphasis on ecosystem connectivity and incremental platform modernization. At the same time, the darker counterpoint is impossible to ignore: Zimmer Biomet's $172M ERP lawsuit against Deloitte, a major European city council's continued delays in fixing a failed Oracle system, and the EU Commission's investigation into SAP's practices reinforce how execution risk, vendor governance, and regulatory scrutiny are now front-and-center issues for enterprise buyers. Taken together, these developments reflect a market bifurcating between rapid AI-driven experimentation and escalating consequences for large-scale ERP missteps—raising the strategic stakes for both technology selection and transformation leadership. In today's episode, we invited a panel of industry analysts for a live discussion on LinkedIn to analyze current enterprise software stories. Billie Asmus was tired of plastic paint liners, half-used trays drying out overnight, and trying to save paint with foil and plastic bags, so she started messing around in her basement to see if she could make something better. That curiosity turned into a reusable paint tray, a lot of Google searches, a year of prototyping and manufacturing, and eventually a moment standing in the Shark Tank longer than expected, fighting for the right partners. In this conversation, Billie walks through what it actually looked like to build the RePaint Tray from scratch, what surprised her most about running a product-based business, and how listening to everyday painters shaped both the product and the community that grew around it.Billie Asmus is the founder of RePaint Studios and the creator of the RePaint Tray, a reusable paint tray designed to make painting less wasteful and easier to pick back up. Why are so many companies spending billions on AI, only to see their most ambitious projects stall out before they ever impact the customer experience? Agility requires more than just a fast-moving marketing team. It requires the foundational ability to connect disparate systems and data sources, allowing new technologies like AI to be implemented and scaled, not just piloted.Today, we're going to talk about the single biggest, and often overlooked, blocker to enterprise AI adoption: the integration layer. While everyone is focused on the models and the applications, the legacy infrastructure underneath is preventing companies from moving beyond small-scale experiments. We'll explore why a modern, integration-first approach is no longer a 'nice-to-have' for IT, but a strategic imperative for any brand that wants to turn AI hype into a real competitive advantage. To help me discuss this topic, I'd like to welcome Stephen Stouffer, Director of Automation Solutions at Tray.ai. Why are so many companies spending billions on AI, only to see their most ambitious projects stall out before they ever impact the customer experience?Agility requires more than just a fast-moving marketing team. About Stephen Stouffer Stephen Stouffer is Director of Automation Solutions at Tray.ai, bringing over a decade of experience in markops, revops, and digital transformation.
