Lukechapter 17:1 begins with, "Then He said to His disciples."Jesus is teaching His disciples some powerful lessons, first about forgiveness,faith, and obedience in these opening verses. But now, in verses 7 through 10,He's teaching a lesson about faithfulness. My friend, when you live a life offorgiveness, faith, and obedience, doing what you're supposed to do as abeliever, you will be faithful despite what's going on around you, and you'llbe faithful for the right reasons with the right motives. Thispassage of Scripture warns to beware of offenses, they're going to come. Thegreatest offenses that come to you and me don't come from the outside worldthat hates Jesus, hates us, and hates the gospel. No, the great and painfuloffenses come from those we go to the house of God with, those we worship with;another pastor, another believer, another co-worker. That offense happens andgoes deep into our hearts, sometimes from a family member who's abusive or sayssomething hurtful. Those are the offenses we have to deal with, and many times,they cause us to quit. We throw in the towel and say, "If that'sChristianity, I want none of it." So,the Lord has a powerful lesson in verses 7-10. Youknow, so often I find that many believers, because of their past sins andoffenses toward God, and the sense that when they realize God's forgiven them,they are grateful and thankful. But they do what I call religious compensation—theytry to pay God back for His goodness. My friend, you can never pay God back,and to serve trying to pay God back is not the right motive to serve the Lord.The main motive to serve the Lord is because you love Him. "If you loveMe, you will keep My commandments." The main purpose and motive inserving the Lord is to glorify Him. When you're doing everything, whatever youdo, you do it with all your might and to the glory of God. You don't do it toget a pat on the back. Somany believers, so many Christians, serve to be recognized by somebody else—bythe pastor, some leaders, or to work their way up in leadership and be somebodyimportant. My friend, those are the wrong motives in service. Jesus makes itreally clear because here is a servant who's serving, watching sheep, plowingin the fields. Jesus used those illustrations often because we are like sheep.We're shepherding sheep as pastors, ministers, and co-workers with the Lord.We're plowing fields, working in the fields, sowing in the fields, trying toreach the harvest fields for Christ. So He says, "You're working in thefields, and you come home—do you expect a pat on the back?" No, He says,"Sit down and make me a meal." JesusHimself set the great example. He said, "I didn't come to be served; Icame to serve and to give My life a ransom." He set the example. He becameobedient to death, obedient to the death of the cross. He made Himself aservant; He humbled Himself. Humility is involved here because if we're notcareful, as workers and co-laborers with God, with faith to cast mountains intothe sea, we might get proud, and God's going to have to bring us down somehow.  So,Jesus is making it very clear here: serve with the right motives, serve for theglory of God, serve because you're simply being obedient. As you're living alife of forgiveness, handling those offenses that come, and living a life offaith, you will be faithful despite what's going on around you for the glory ofGod. Beencouraged today to be faithful. It's required in a steward that he be foundfaithful (1 Corinthians 4:2).

Mark lists what he refers to as Harrys 'sackable offences during The Masters'.Nick raises the Monday Q Twitter page and how he loved following it during the tournament. He recommends that if you're not following it, get on board!Rory's shot on the 15th in the final round. Nick calls it the 'sexiest shot in golf'. Mark makes the claim that given the circumstances, the pressure, what was on the line, it was the greatest shot ever hit in golf.We discuss Justin Rose's performance, which obviously is overshadowed by Rory, however was brilliant. Nick and Mark full of admiration for Justin.Mark loved the commentary and was so pleased it was the traditional commentators.We discuss the footage of Rory in the Champions Locker Room for the first time. Beautiful to watch.Nick asks Mark how Rory will go over the next few tournaments, we discuss what they are and how he is placed.Nick says the round of the tournament was from Nick Dunlap, and explains why.A great Top 5 from Mark today, he lists what he feels are the Top 5 Mens Major Tournaments in the history of golf. Severe thunderstorms and flash flooding are likely from parts of theOzarks to the Tennessee Valley tonight before the severe weather threatshifts south on Thursday toward the Southern Plains and Southeast......Heavy mountain snow and and moderate lower elevation rain graduallywanes across the Northern Rockies on Thursday......Above average temperatures remain across southern Texas and theSoutheast, while warmth also begins to build into the Northwestlate-week...Active weather is ongoing and expected to continue through tonight acrossparts of the middle/lower Mississippi valleys, Tennessee Valley, and intothe southern Appalachians. The atmospheric setup includes an upper lowover the Northern Plains with associated troughing extending into theSouthwest, allowing for moist southerly flow into the Mid-South. Aquasi-stationary boundary extending into the Ohio Valley and detachedoutflow boundary in the Tennessee Valley will provide a focus for stormsto develop and track along. Numerous thunderstorms are expected to becomesevere and possibly contain very large to giant hail, damaging wind gusts,and some strong tornadoes possible. The Storm Prediction Center has issueda Moderate Risk (level 4/5) of severe weather between south-centralMissouri to Middle Tennessee and south-central Kentucky. Additionally, asstorms overlap with saturated soil from earlier rainfall and train behindone another, numerous instances of flash flooding are possible. Thegreatest risk for flash flooding is across southwestern Kentucky andMiddle Tennessee, where a Moderate Risk (level 3/4) of Excessive Rainfallis in effect. By Thursday, the overnight thunderstorm activity isanticipated to sink southward and impact areas from the Southern Plains tothe Southeast. Very large hail appears probable across parts of centralTexas and into the ArkLaTex region, with a broader region of severe hailand damaging wind potential extending through the lower Mississippi Valleyinto the Southeast. Areas of flash flooding are also possible along thiscorridor stretching between eastern Texas and central Georgia. As theassociated cold front continues to push south and east on Friday, thescattered thunderstorms threat is expected to linger, but remain confinedto the Southeast.A long duration heavy precipitation event is also ongoing throughout theNorthern Rockies and parts of the northern High Plains through at leastThursday. The upper low over the Northern Plains continues to funnelmoisture into favorable upslope regions of Montana and Wyoming. Heavy snowremains probable into tonight across the higher elevated ranges, withmoderate rainfall in the lower elevations. As the upper low weakens andbecomes more elongated, precipitation is also expected to weaken whilealso sliding southward into the central/southern Rockies. Additionally,the well below average temperatures are forecast to remain throughout theRockies with a warmer trend beginning by the end of the week.Warm weather for the final few days of the workweek can be expected acrossthe Northwest, Southeast, Gulf Coast, and southern Texas. Locations inthese regions can anticipate highs around 10 to 15 degrees above average,with a few daily record highs potentially being tied/broken. As far asactual high temperatures go, southern Texas will be by far the hottestwith highs into the triple digits and upper 90s. Low-to-mid 90s areforecast across Florida on Thursday, with 80s and 90s throughout the restof the Gulf Coast and Southeast. Meanwhile, the Pacific Northwest willalso need to break out the summer clothing and stay hydrated as highs soarinto the 80s by Friday, with low 90s possible in localized interior valleylocations from central Californ

Winter storm brings heavy mountain snow, widespread damaging winds, andcold temperatures to much of the WestBlizzard conditions expected for the Sierra Nevada and portions of theGreat Basin on Saturday.A coastal storm will bring widespread rain up the East Coast throughSaturday, with thunderstorms across portions of the Southeast throughtonightMuch above average, Spring-like temperatures for the Plains and Midwestonce again heading into the weekend with Critical Fire Weather threat forthe central/southern High Plains.Another significant winter storm is forecast to impact much of the Westheading into the weekend, including dangerous, blizzard conditions for theSierra Nevada as an amplifying upper-level trough forces its way into thewestern U.S.  A multi-day influx of moisture from the Pacific is forecastto interact with a cold air mass arriving from western Canada, resultingin heavy snowfall for many of the higher elevation mountain ranges acrossthe Pacific Northwest, northern/central California, the northern/centralRockies, and Great Basin. Snow totals locally as much as 12"+ are forecastthrough Sunday. In addition, widespread damaging wind gusts of 55+ mph areforecast across much of the region, with even stronger gusts of 75+ mphfor higher elevations and mountain passes, leading to the risk of downedtrees and power lines as a potent cold front pushes through. The mostintense combination of snow and wind will converge over the Sierra Nevada,where a powerful blizzard is expected. Extreme snowfall totals of 5-12feet (locally even higher) are forecast through the weekend, with highsnow rates and winds leading to blowing/drifting snow and whiteoutconditions, making travel impossible. For lower elevations, the systemwill bring moderate to heavy rainfall to coastal locations, with a mix oflight to moderate rain/snow for interior locations, though anyaccumulations should remain limited.Along the East Coast, widespread rainfall and some embedded thunderstormsassociated with a wavy front are spreading northeastward from the centralGulf Coast across the Southeast, southern Appalachians and into the OhioValley.  A low pressure system is forecast to develop along the front andmove up the East Coast on Saturday.  This system is forecast to bring around of widespread rainfall up the East Coast through Saturday before thelow center exits the New England coast Sunday morning.  Some locally heavydownpours are possible, especially north of the boundary in the interiorSouth and along the Carolina coast.  Showers and storms will also lingeracross portions of the coastal Southeast into north Florida and theFlorida Panhandle into Sunday as the trailing portion of the front becomesnearly stationary.Much above average, Spring-like high temperatures are once again expectedacross much of the Plains and Midwest heading into the Weekend. Thegreatest anomalies are forecast for the northern Plains into the upperMidwest on Saturday pushing into the upper Midwest toward the Great Lakeson Sunday.  Highs will be upwards of 25-35 degrees above normal, reachinginto the 60s and 70s in these areas.  Highs Saturday will warm into the60s and 70s for the Middle/Lower Mississippi Valley, with 80s returning toTexas.
