The Giants lose again, Daboll's future in doubt, Dart playing reckless, and Daniels likely done for the season. Jerry breaks down Banks getting trucked, Darnold's 4-TD half, and Lane Kiffin's name tossed into the mix. Gio reacts to the Dodgers' World Series win, we debate Daboll's replacement, and Schottenheimer's house goes wild — owl and snake included. NFC chaos, Panthers surprising, Jets and Giants could be sellers, and free-agent QBs shake up the market. Big Blue's defense can't stop anyone, Flacco and Darnold shine.
“Happy 70th to Phil Simms! We break down Sam Darnold's huge night and the QBs hitting free agency soon. The Jets are favorites over the Browns, and could Zac Taylor end up with the Giants? Jerry's got Tiki's take on Deonte Banks, Dart on the Giants' struggles, and Darnold's perfect first half. Plus, Jayden Daniels' injury, Daniel Jones' turnover montage, and Brian Schottenheimer's owl-and-snake saga. Everything's collapsing for Big Blue — 105 points allowed in 9 quarters.

Post-Dispatch podcasts page: https://go.stltoday.com/0hfn43 Please consider subscribing: https://go.stltoday.com/9aigz5 When the World Series ends, the roster work begins, and the Cardinals have new staff and new leadership in place -- so will it mean new direction? On Oct. 31, the Best Podcast in Baseball drops, fittingly, the 31st episode of this season. And it's not meant to scare fans. Although, the two teams playing in the World Series might cause a shiver through Cardinals Nation about how far away the local club feels from the two tycoon clubs playing this Halloween for the championship. Nathan Mills, an editor at the Post-Dispatch and co-host of the hockey podcast Net Front Presence, joins baseball writer Derrick Goold in a brand new BPIB to discuss how far away the Cardinals are from playing this late into October. Also discussed: What lessons can be taken from a World Series that features two of the top-five payrolls in the game, what pitchers fit the Cardinals needs, and what priorities the Cardinals should set for this winter when splurging and star-chasing seems unlikely. The butterfly effect of new positions and new hires for the front office is detailed, as it whether such moves reinvigorate a fanbase. Many words that begin with the prefix re- are used in the making of this podcast. In its 13th season as one of the first and most widely heard podcasts on baseball and the Cardinals, the Best Podcast in Baseball has reached a new season-high with 30 episodes. Each episode is sponsored weekly by Closets by Design of St. Louis, is a production of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, StlToday.com, and lead baseball writer Derrick Goold.

Ike, Spike and Fritz discuss the probability of each Phillies free agent being back next season.
Pirates insider Jason Mackey from the PG joined the show. Jason is not confident the Pirates will hand out a multi-year free agent deal, which they haven't done in nearly a decade. He expects the Pirates moves to be in trade form, like a Mitch Keller deal or something else with their young pitchers. Jason said the Pirates still probably have some shame in the Tyler Glasnow trade, even though it was under the last regime. Jason doesn't expect Tommy Pham or Isaiah Kiner-Falefa will be in Pittsburgh next season. Jason wouldn't be surprised if the Pirates ‘just run it back with a lot of what they had this past year.'
