Misschien heb jij ook weleens dat je bij de marketing van een Nederlands bedrijf denkt: "Wat zit er nou toch voor een raar smaakje aan?."Als je dan kijkt wat ze over zichzelf zeggen, dan is het net alsof je een bakje havermout eet waar niks lekkers in zit. Wat chocola of wat cranberry's of zo, een appeltje. Het is een bakje beton.Zo komt de marketing van veel Nederlandse bedrijven over. Want het is machteloze marketing.Zometeen geef ik een aantal leuke voorbeelden.Nederlandse bedrijven die niet weten wat ze over zichzelf moeten zeggen omdat ze niet zo goed weten wat ze nou uniek maakt in hun markt, die kunnen alsnog wel stoer doen of vrolijk doen in hun marketing - als je hoort lijkt het alsof ze weten waar ze mee bezig zijn - maar als je goed luistert dan merk je dat ze geen idee hebben wat ze moeten zeggen.Een goed voorbeeld daarvan is:"… die bij je past"Dat hoor je heel veel in Nederlandse marketing. Zo'n typischNederlands zinnetje."... die bij je past" is iets wat je over jezelf kunt zeggen als je niet precies weet wat jouw aanbod uniek maakt.Ik zal je een aantal voorbeelden geven van MKB-bedrijven die dat doen. Een van de meest voorkomende is: "Een baan die bij je past."Alle recruiters en detacheringsbureaus gebruiken die zin. Zevinden voor jou een baan die bij je past.Maar wat ze nou precies onderscheidt van andere bureaus dat maken ze niet duidelijk.Er is een vergelijkingssite die belooft dat je een "aannemer die bij je past" vindt.Maar wat maakt deze site nou anders dan andere sites waar je een aannemer kunt vinden?Andere voorbeelden:"Zorg die bij je past""Een pup die bij je past""Een politieke stijl die bij je past""Een baardstijl die bij je past""Een asielhond die bij je past""Bruidsmake-up die bij je past""Een veiligheidsschoen die bij je past"Ik heb ook weleens gezien: "keepershandschoenen die bij jepassen".Dat is machteloze marketing door bedrijven die niet wetenwat ze precies moeten zeggen.Voor klanten is dat alsof ze een bakje havermoutbeton teeten krijgen.En je laat zien dat je eigenlijk niet weet wat je nou betermaakt dan de andere in jouw markt.Ik heb een grote tv-campagne gezien van een mode-webshop die tientallen keren voorbij kwam op tv met ik geloof "shirts en schoenen die bij je passen". Een peperdure reclamecampagne gemaakt door een reclamebureau en ze wisten niets beters te verzinnen dan:… die bij je past.Als je marketing machteloos is dan heeft iedereen haarfijndoor dat jij niet weet wat je nou eigenlijk toevoegt in die markt.Dan kun je beter even je mond houden totdat je hebtuitgedokterd wat je superpower is als bedrijf.Voordat je die superpower hebt ontdekt heeft het weinig zinom geld uit te geven aan marketing of om daar veel tijd in te steken.Maar zodra je weet wat je superpower is, dan is het opeensheel duidelijk wat je moet zeggen in je marketing want dan ga je het daarover hebben.Dan hoef je geen bakje met havermoutbeton meer te maken,maar je marketing is een gerecht dat ze nog nooit geproefd.Als je superpower-marketing doet dan wordt eindelijk jouwunieke talent gezien, of de unieke waarde van je bedrijf.In de ogen van je klanten ben jij een soort superheld.En als je kijkt welke 20 Hollywoodfilms de hoogste omzethebben gedraaid, dan zie je dat 17 van de 20 gaan over een hoofdpersoon met extreme of bovenmenselijke vaardigheden.Daaraan zie je dat mensen gefascineerd zijn door mensen dieergens verschrikkelijk goed in zijn. Dat is het geheim van Hollywood. Met de nieuwe mobiele betaalterminal Tap wil Mollie de strijd aangaan met de betaalbare en toegankelijke mobiele pinkastjes van Sum Up. Mollie is vooral bekend van online betalingen, maar poogt met de Tap voor het eerst een betaalbare mobiele terminal te maken voor de MKB'er. De Tap is een groot zwart apparaat met 6,1 inch scherm en Android 15 als besturingssysteem. Je kan er niet mee bellen, ondanks de vergelijkbare vormfactor met een smarthpone. Op het apparaat kunnen we apps van derde partijen draaien zoals bestelplatforms waarmee Mollie een partnersamenwerking heeft. Mollie kan dus apps integreren met de betaalterminal, waardoor het een multifunctioneel systeem is. Voor 95 euro koop je de terminal zonder maandelijkse kosten. De transactiekosten liggen dan met 1,5% wat hoger. Betaal je 20 euro per maand, dan zijn je transactiekosten nog maar 0,3 procent voor binnenlandse betalingen en is de Tap voor 45 euro te krijgen. Vergeleken met Sum Up zijn de kosten anders opgebouwd, maar loopt het pas bij opschaling van het aantal transacties op. Een miljoen woningen van hout levert 100 miljoen Megaton CO2 reductie op. Het uitgangspunt ‘Een beter milieu begint bij jezelf' – is pertinent onjuist. Stikstof is al vijftig jaar een probleem. We zitten op slot omdat we het bestaande niet durven te veranderen. Als de ongeveer 400 piekbelasters zouden stoppen dan zou een groot deel van ons stikstof probleem er niet meer zijn. Vandaag het gesprek met Sandra Nap. Sandra is Circular Hero 2022 en werkte onder andere voor de rijksoverheid, NGO's en voor (MKB) bedrijven. Vijf jaar geleden won zij: “kraakdecrisis” met Holland Houtland. Biobased bouwen met stro, hennep en vlas als oplossing voor de energie, klimaat, stikstof economische en water crisis. Oftewel: boeren blijven boeren, bouwers blijven bouwen! Inmiddels maakt materiaal efficiënt bouwen, dus het beter benutten van de bestaande bouw door optoppen, aanplakken, transformeren en splitsen een belangrijk onderdeel van haar werk. Met Stichting Kies Biobased organiseert zij trainingen, biobased isoleren en renoveren voor het MKB. Voor de zomer start de Woonverdubbelaar, de meest energie en materiaalefficiente manier om extra voordeuren te creëren.
