Holding Space? What about Thickening Space?? Inspired by The Muppets, Ani DiFranco, Sinead O'Connor, and Joni Mitchell- queer music icon - B*TCH is here to talk about her musical memoir, B*TCHCRAFT at wild project. Sarah and B*TCH talk about political art, musical theatre, "thickening space" in acting class, violin, One Long Earring, and much much more! B*tch (Creator/Performer) is a longstanding queer music icon who Yahoo Entertainment called “a feminist force that the world needs now more than ever” when she released “B*tchcraft,” her 9th studio album, on the legendary label Kill Rock Stars in 2022. With her signature electric violin and lyrical smarts front and center over huge beats and deep synths, B*tch coined the genre “Poet Pop.” “B*tchcraft is a masterpiece,” said Amy Ray of the Indigo Girls. Both Indigo Girls and Ani DiFranco took B*tch on tour as their opener. Joey Soloway (Transparent) directed the music video for “Easy Target.” B*tch first achieved notoriety as one half of the folk duo B*tch and Animal. The duo had met in acting school at DePaul University (formerly the Goodman School of Drama), where B*tch was the recipient of the Merit Scholarship for two years in a row. They toured with Ani DiFranco, and released two albums on her label Righteous Babe Records, and were nominated for a GLAAD Media award in 2003. In 2004, B*tch went solo, and shared stages with the Indigo Girls, acted in John Cameron Mitchell's film “Shortbus,” co-wrote a song with Margaret Cho, and produced two albums of her elder and folk hero Ferron. Recently, she played a role in the new Audible podcast of Alison Bechdel's “Dykes To Watch Out For,” alongside Jane Lynch, Carrie Brownstein and Roxane Gay. The series was directed by Leigh Silverman (Suffs, Violet, Well), and Bitch co-wrote a song for it with Faith Soloway (Transparent, A Transparent Musical). A LOOK BACK Article Feb. 11, 2015 Beverly Hills California Yahoo Entertainment Regina Swarn Emerges as a Global Mega-Star BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Feb. 11, Thousands of fans worldwide anxiously await Gin's latest endeavor, her show, "Gin Up Close & Personal." Her new show, airing soon on stations worldwide, keeps Gin's fan pages buzzing in The United States, India, Russia, Italy, United Kingdom, France, Greece, Germany, and even the Netherlands. One of the biggest surprises for Gin is the number of admirers she has in India. Her fan base in India is enormous, and for her, it's personal. She admits to loving Bollywood entertainment, which is one of her guilty pleasures. They love her, and it's time for her star to shine brightly. She has worked in the entertainment industry for so many years helping others; now it's her time." As most of her close friends call her, Gin could not have imagined this eighteen months ago. Gin was already well known in the USA and Canada for her work in promotions and film and her childhood singing career, but this level of fame is a whole new experience for her. With so much notoriety, Gin realizes the pressures of being in the spotlight. Gin has fan pages and groups on every social network. Her family, friends, and fans honor her and her life's work on Facebook, Twitter, and more. Recently, Gin discovered that there were fake profiles created by jealous people pretending to be Gin. She laughs it off now and, in a way, is flattered that others want to be her, but Gin is the real deal, and her followers deserve the genuine article, not imposters trying to be her. She now understands how celebrities feel when things like this happen to them. It just comes with the territory. "Sometimes it is hard to keep a low profile," says Gin. "I love normal. I don't go out of my way to draw attention to myself. I can be in the midst of people, and they may never know who I am or what I've done. I'm striving to keep it that way as long as I possibly can." For her protection, she travels with a secret bodyguard at all times. Industry professionals know that if Gin likes it, the public will check it out. And with the power of her huge fan base, if she endorses it, then success is the only word to describe it. Gin promises that no matter how celebrated she becomes, she remains unchanged. "I'm still me, and I haven't let success, fame, or money change who I am. God is still first in my life, and as long as I keep him number one, He will continue to bless me. I'm the same Gin I've always been, and that will never change". You can read about this sensational woman at her official media website and can check out her show, "worldwide. This week on Episode 465 of Priority One --- We ‘Trek Out' Culber's focus on mental health, Goldsman's tease of Picard season 2, Jack Quaid's initiation into Trek-stardom, Gossipy-Gossip, and a teeny-tiny set! Of course, as always, before we wrap up the show, we'll open hailing frequencies for your incoming messages Let us know on social media like Facebook, Twitter, or by visiting our website! This Weeks Community Questions Are: CQ:  Are you excited to see more “Starfleet” in season 2 of “Picard”, or would you prefer the second season to focus on something else entirely? TREK IT OUT by Jake Morgan Wilson Cruz on Culber's Mental Health What would it feel like to be resurrected - Pulled from the clutches of death, returned into the land of the living? The wholly unusual event must be disconcerting - being one of the few people pulled from eternal oblivion. Just ask Spock, McCoy, Scotty, Worf, Wesley Crusher, Janeway, Picard - or Dr.Hugh Culber. Wilson Cruz, the actor who portrays the resurrected Doctor - Culber not McCoy - discussed the effects of breathing again with Yahoo Entertainment's “The Talk”. Cruz told “The Talk” that he didn't originally know his character was going to be killed, but was glad to receive a call shortly after to reprise the role. During those conversations, Cruz made it clear that he didn't want Culber's death to be meaningless “So many times we see these LGBQ characters, especially gay characters, killed off on our series, and there's no cost. It's as if it never happened. And I wanted there to be growth in this. He needed to learn something from it, we all did. So, I was excited about the epic way he was brought back” Cruz continued, dropping a few hints about what to expect in Discovery's third season ”I'm more excited about how he's grown in season 3 - how he's used this experience to kind of inform the way that he works on the ship. And so, we'll see more of how he works as a doctor, but also how he's taking into consideration mental health.” Akiva Goldsman Talks Picard's Second Season Wilson Cruz wasn't the only Trek-insider to talk about the future of a Star Trek series. Writer, Director, Show runner, and now prolific video interviewee Akiva Goldsman discussed Star Trek: Picard's first season, and what we may expect going forward. Goldsman told IndieWire's Christian Blauvelt that the introduction of Altan Inigo Soong, played by the incomparable Brent Spiner, served a bigger purpose than simply moving the narrative. ”We knew that this Soong character had been in our head canon when it came to the season, anyway. But, you know, we want more Brent, and we wanted to create a platform for which there could be more Brent in ensuing seasons” In regards to the introduction of the Riker-led Starfleet Armada in "Et in Arcadia Ego — part II," Goldsman acknowledged ”We knew that bringing in that fleet was a little bit of a promise, and so we tried to be thoughtful about it”. The video interview ends there, but in the article that accompanies the video, Goldsman is quoted as saying ”Especially as we go forward, we're going to start making statements about really what the world of Starfleet, at least technologically if not socially and culturally … These are the things that are likely to get a little bit more play than they did [in Season 1] in what was essentially a story about somebody who is outside of Starfleet.” For more on the development of Picard's first season, including the inspiration for the 2390's ship design, be sure to trek out the link in our show notes. Jack Quaid Describes “Lower Decks” If you're involved in Trek, no matter what else you are working on or promoting, you WILL talk about your Trek involvement - and Jack Quaid had his first lesson in this. The star of the upcoming animated comedy “Lower Decks” sat down with Entertainment publication Gold Derby to promote season 2 of the popular Amazon Prime series, “The Boys” - and as sure as the sun rises, Star Trek was addressed. Quaid, who plays “Lower Decks” Ensign Brad Boimler, admitted he wasn't sure about a release date, telling Gold Derby ”I don't know when it's coming out. I know I've recorded most of my stuff for it but it's a new “Star Trek” show, it's animated, it's from Mike McMahan, who's one of the writers on “Rick and Morty” and he's frickin' hilarious.” Like the aforementioned McMahon, Quiad stressed the comedy is for both trek fans - like self-proclaimed “trek nerd”, Gold Derby reporter Kevin Jacobsen - and non-trek fans ”If you are a huge “Star Trek” nerd[...]you're gonna get a lot of the references and a lot of the deep cut jokes, but I think even if you're new to it, I think it's something really cool to introduce you to the “Star Trek” universe as well. Me speaking personally, I didn't know a ton about it when I got cast. I had seen the J.J. Abrams movies but now I'm into it.” Kirk-shipping May Be Canon? You want gossip, Captains? You've got it. We head back to the questionable “WeGotThisCovered” for our next story, so be sure not to take this Gossip as Gospel. If you'll remember back in episode 460 of Priority One, we told you about the RUMORED casting of a young James T. Kirk for the upcoming Pike/Spock/Number 1 series, “Strange New Worlds”.  This week, WeGotThisCovered has doubled down on the rumor, claiming that not only are they casting Kirk for the series, but he may be Bisexual. According to the site ”Trusted insider Daniel Richtman has revealed on Twitter that sources are telling him Kirk could end up being portrayed as bisexual in SNW.” https://twitter.com/DanielRPK/status/1271905503678009344 You may be surprised to find out that the Original Kirk - William Shatner - had an opinion on the matter. On June 14th, Shatner TWEETED ”I suppose some of you want my reaction to the article from the “never heard of them before & clickbait rules” site on their scoop on bisexual Kirk? If @CBS,@Alex_Kurtzman & @Startrek decide  to make Kirk bisexual to align with cancel culture presentism; then it's OK

According to them the screenwriter of Alita: Battle Angel, Laeta Kalogridis, is working on a treatment for a film adaptation of the game! The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is defending its use of a previously secret program used to monitor potential security threats at airports and on planes. Al Tompkins (5:44) a senior faculty and journalist at the Poynter Institute of Journalism, who’s been in the business for close to 45 years, comes on the show and gives us his choice to replace Matt Lauer. Then… the new Avengers Infiniti War trailer premiered this week and Adam Garcia (19:18), producer over at Yahoo Entertainment! and a good friend of mine, joins me to breakdown why this new movie will be the epic of epics and why DC is on the verge of collapse. And as usual, our recap of the most highly relevant stories of the week (17:30) and our music recommendations for your weekend playlist (40:16) (Si Alguien La Ve - GioBulla // Baby, You Make Me Crazy - Sam Smith // Ella - Alan Rosales, Chel Maya) Would you like to get in touch with us?
