Episode 49: How to improve your sales mindset to convert more sales calls to paying clients, with sales mindset coach Ruth Alade

Play Episode Play 60 sec Highlight Listen Later Oct 8, 2020 45:29

I was super excited, possibly the most excited I've ever been, to be interviewing sales mindset coach, Ruth Alade, who teaches female coaches how to sell and get more “yeses”.Usually we've had experiences with sales in the past that have stuck with us, which isn't great. We've also heard people talk about sales in a negative light, and we don't want to become one of those “bad sales people”, like the Wolf of Wall Street. We don't want to be that salesperson that is trying to force something down people's throats. So we have all these beliefs like: I don't like sales, I hate sales, sales is bad. When we show up to calls with these thoughts, what happens is that we're not able to actually dig deeper, because we're going to start thinking that if we ask a certain question, we're going to come across as pushy.Or if I say this, maybe this person isn't going to like it. So we tiptoe and people please. And at the end of that call, guess what you're going to hear?“I need to think about it”, “It's too much money”,“I need to speak to my husband, partner, cat, goldfish” etc, you get the picture! When we come to calls with better-serving beliefs, we're able to dig deeper into their objections to really find out what their situation is, what the real truth is. The problem is that many times when people say that that they “need to speak to their partner”, that's not actually the real reason. Most coaches will be afraid to dig deeper to find out whether it is genuinely the real reason or not.But they may have just said it because they knew that if they say something like that, it works and you let them off.The first thing for digging deeper is to look at yourself, look inwards. Whatever objections that you're getting, you need to ask yourself, what do I believe about this? When people say that they need to think about it, what do you believe about it?Are you someone that always thinks about things too? Are you someone that always has to speak to their husband? Are you someone that always has to meditate on it first? Because if you are that kind of person, then of course you are going to agree with their objection. You need to look inwards and then decide if you want to carry on. I believe in these objections. And then also, if it is something that you're doing, you have to decide if it's something that you want to carry on doing for yourself. If you're someone that doesn't like spending money on things, when people tell you that it is too much money, then of course you're going to buy into it. So in that instance, decide if you want to carry on being someone that doesn't spend money, or if you want to change that. It's going to take you practicing whatever it is that you're choosing to believe about sales. Yeah. Whenever you find yourself going down that path of all these thoughts that aren't serving you, then you can decide, I am not going to go down this path.Ruth could tell you what to say and give you a script word for word, but it's not going to work because then you're going to show up with an energy oozing uncertainty, and people can sense that. So, the way to go about changing this starts with you changing the way you are thinking about sales.Always be curious with people's objections. When you get curious, you're giving them that chance to talk about their situation, to talk about the problem that they want to solve. You really need to take a good look at your money story. What are all the beliefs you have about money? You can choose to believe that money is everywhere and that people can create money. So, it's a constant work in progress. Always identifying those thoughts that aren't serving you and choosing what you really want.Otherwise your brain would just default to all those beliefs and thoughts that aren't going to take you anywhere.

Episode 48: The 5 steps to convert people on sales calls to paying clients (solo episode)

Play Episode Play 60 sec Highlight Listen Later Oct 5, 2020 12:39

The 1st step is to have a pre-qualifying question, so whether people book through Calendly or Acuity, you need to have a question that says: “Are you ready to make a serious investment in yourself?”.As you don't want to waste your time on sales calls with people that aren't ready to make a serious investment in themselves. Remember that time is our most precious asset, you can get back money but you can't get back time. For people that say they're not ready to make a serious investment in themselves, you send them a freebie or a low-priced offer to get them in your funnel, and they can get in contact in future when they're ready to invest. The 2nd step is to get crystal clear on what their pain-points are. Do you remember before when I spoke about setting up market research calls? They're the perfect opportunity to pitch your services. You know that person's pain-points, problems and challenges from a market research call, so whenever they come to you with an objection, you can say: “Do you remember earlier when you said how much you wanted to change this, and how much you were struggling? What's happened now? What's changed your mind?” and this will challenge them as they can't go back on what they've said. This isn't being mean or trapping them, this is purely coaching them on the call. Coaching starts on a sales call. You need to challenge them on the sales call. I know it's scary and uncomfortable, but this is how you build a resilient sales mindset and make MONEY in your business. I'm being deadly serious. The 3rd step is to identify how committed they are. You need to ask them: “How committed are you on a scale of 1-10 to investing in your future and changing/improving your situation?”. You can even say here: “I only work with people who are 100% committed because that's how I show up for my clients. I don't settle for any less and I wouldn't want you to settle for any less”.Once you've got their commitment number, later on with any objections they have, you can say: “Do you remember when you said you were an (insert number) on the commitment scale? What's changed that?”. If they say they're a 7 or 8, you can even ask them: “What's would get you to a 10?”.I actually had a sales call with a prospective client the other day who said she was a 7 on the commitment scale, and only after her doing some digging, I found out her ACTUAL reason was that she wasn't even entirely sure that she wanted to become a coach. Before, she said that she couldn't do the program as she couldn't afford it.BUT, we know that objections can often be a smoke screen for something else. That's why the coaching starts on the sales call. You have to dig deep and ask the right questions. As uncomfortable as it feels at first, it gets easier every time. From my experience, when you dig deeper, you find out the real reason why somebody doesn't want to sign up for your offer. You can take a horse to water but you can't make it drink, so when you realise that the person may not be the BEST fit, after digging deeper, simply let them go. I only accept prospective clients' objections ONCE I've dug as deep as I possibly can.The 4th step is to wait for them to say that the program is EXACTLY what they need. The 5th step is to then talk about the investment, and you have to wait for your prospective client to ask you how much it is, as this shows that they're interested. Then, once you mention the price, you simply SHUT UP, you don't say anything, and you definitely DON'T offer discounts. If you're not making sales in your business, you don't have a business, you have a very expensive hobby. Meaghan J. Smith is a money mindset and empowerment coach for women, where she helps you to create the extraordinary life you want to live on purpose.Meghan is also a fellow podcast hot and runs the Money Mindful Podcast, where she recently interviewed me all about money mindset. You can listen below:https://moneymindful.com.au/ep37/.Decide to take ownership of your financial destiny. You can't bury your head in the sand when it comes to money and expect to create more of it, or bring more money into your life.Whether that's how you manage the money that you earn in a 9-5 job, or how you go about creating value to make more money in your business.Give your money some love. Pay attention to your money. Keep track of your money. Respect your money and your money will respect you.Be grateful for your bills because your electricity bill enabled you to run your business from home, your water bill enabled you to wash, and your WiFi bill enabled you to watch your favourite show on Netflix!Gratitude is the basis of abundance and manifesting more money. If you're not already grateful for what you have, how the hell can you manifest more? You can't manifest more from a place of lack. Money is amazing as it gives us options, it's a tool that we can use in exchange to have other services and things in our lives. You can't create a new result in your life if you keep doing the same thing. If you keep thinking the same thing and doing the same thing, you live your life on repeat. The way you think has created the results that you have in your life now. If they're not the results that you want, you need to think differently and be willing to be wrong.Nothing changes until you change. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results. What you don't change, you choose. We are always choosing what we receive, through our subconscious mind, our thoughts and our belief systems. We can actually learn new ways to do things when we're open to it. Now, obviously if you've got like a deep rooted belief that you have to work hard for money, you're going to create that result for yourself when you keep looking at it.But you can change that too: I'm learning how to make money without working hard, like just cracking the door, opening yourself to the opportunity for change. You can think about your goals, but at the end of the day, you've got to take action, and that can feel uncomfortable. But you've got to step out of your comfort zone. It's looking at different ways that you can earn money and actually learning those ways and then actioning them.So if you're in business, invest in your education about how to make money in business. If you're a business, you need to know how to market your business, how to create value and get clients. If you're given two options, always pick the harder one because that's the one that you need. That's the one that's pushing you outside of your comfort zone. And as we know, you don't thrive in your comfort zone, you survive in your comfort zone.Do you have the capacity to hold money? Can you have money in your purse without spending it? Can you just be at peace with money?Money creates more money. It's this ability to be at peace with having money and not needing to do anything with it.Meaghan recommends to do a thought download, where you write down all the thoughts in your mind, and then ask yourself: what are the facts and what are my thoughts? A lot of thoughts we have, we think they're facts. Thinking you're not good with money can't be proven so it's just a thought.Check out Meghan here: https://www.instagram.com/moneymindfulpodcast/.

Episode 44: How to go from feeling stuck to living with more intention and joy, with life coach Laura Holmes

Play Episode Play 60 sec Highlight Listen Later Sep 17, 2020 76:32

Laura loves to talk about facts versus feelings because our fear response is the thing that's often stopping us and that's an emotional response. There's a part of our brain called the amygdala, which signals fear. So when there's anything unknown, even if it's a really positive, exciting thing for us, that part of our brain flares up.This triggers those thoughts and behaviours that stop us or inhibit us from actually going ahead with a strategy. You can have the best strategy in the world but if you don't have that confidence behind you and that emotional regulation, that resilience, then it's probably not going to be as successful as it could be.Emotional resilience is self-compassion. It's accepting your emotions and your circumstances for what they are in that moment. For me, I was running away from my dark thoughts and feelings that were trying to rise up to the surface, and physically running away from them because I was running for exercise.I was using it self-medicate, and I realised that throughout my life, I've been using distraction to self medicate. When I first started working straight out of uni, I was still partying because I didn't want to become an adult and face reality. Then when I met my boyfriend two years ago, I was self medicating through codependency. I was relying on him for my happiness, which meant I was in a job that I absolutely hated. Then in my business, I was relying on over-exercising and over-working to self-medicate and distract myself. It was all because I didn't want to face my inner demons and all of these emotions.Laura suggests viewing failure as feedback, rather than the end result. Ask yourself, what could I learn from these lessons? If we're thinking positively, then we're going to feel more positive and then more positive things are going to happen.Laura believes that listing down the things you're grateful for when you're feeling down is distracting you from facing the real problems at hand. It buries it, and then that manifests in your mood, so you might be quite snappy with your partner or your loved ones, or you might be less motivated, or you might struggle to sleep or struggle to wake up, or you might feel trapped, lost, or confused. We need healthy strategies rather than coping strategies, as coping strategies just mask a bad smell and act as a bandaid. Sometimes sticking in your comfort zone or sticking to what you know is the worst block.Laura is all about living intentionally. She likes to encourage everyone to live more intentionally, because the whole point of life is to live a fulfilled life with purpose and to feel happy. Be conscious of how you're feeling and be conscious of what you want.A lot of people have said to me recently that money and love are at the same frequency. So how I feel in love is how I want to feel in money. If I can feel the same way in love as I feel in money, then I'm going to manifest money. That's just the way the energy and vibrations work. Practice the frequency until choosing those feelings come easily. But if you're just attached to a monetary figure, you're not going to manifest it if if you're not truly motivated by it. Motivation is the key to change a behaviour. It's the key to overcoming your fears. For any goal, don't just think that you want to get there. Or you want to work out three times a week. Ask yourself, why? How is that going to benefit feeling at the end of doing that? Because if you're not actually motivated, if you haven't given any thought to it, then that's going to be way less likely to be a successful goal.Book recommendation.Follow Laura on Instagram.Join Laura's Facebook group.

I wanted to share this with you…Like I assume for a lot of you, this lockdown has given me some much-needed time to reflect on what's serving me and what isn't.I recently had the BIGGEST epiphany that I was using exercise and over-working to self-medicate, and push down my inner demons that were trying to come to the surface. No wonder I had been so burned out!!!I then realised that I've always been self-medicating, when I was in my first job, I self-medicated through partying, my 2nd job was through co-dependency in my relationship (relying on it for my happiness), and now with my business, I've been self-medicating through over-working and over-exercising.What I've realised is that I was actually running away from my problems, as I was absolutely terrified of sitting in the pain, as I knew it would be extremely uncomfortable.Which is why I always made myself guilty for taking time off or for exercising, as I was scared that these dark thoughts would come to the fore, so I would distract myself.Anyway, long story short, I had an injury in my left knee (your left side is your inner which is obviously no coincidence!) a month or two ago, which forced me to stop running or doing intense cardio. I also burned out from all this over-exercising and over-working that I couldn't work as hard anymore. So I couldn't the two things that I was doing to avoid being with my thoughts, over-exercising and over-working, which of course meant that A LOT of my inner demons bubbled to the surface.I've been allowing my inner demons to come to the surface over these past few weeks and it has been PAINFUL AS HELL! But now that I've healed my wounds and inner child, I have SO much more self-compassion and emotional resilience to get through ANYTHING the universe throws at me.The thing that's the most bizarre is that I have this chest tightness since I was about 19, so 6 years, when I developed anxiety at university. But since allowing my inner demons to come to the surface, and confront them gently, the chest tightness has just gone away. No word of a lie!So trust me when I say, what's on the other side of pain, pressure and darkness, is freedom, flow and light. I've genuinely never felt so at calm or at ease with my life, for the first time ever! The reason why I'm sharing this is to say, whatever you're going through, at the end of the darkness, there is light, even if you can't see it right now. And of course, I'm always here, so feel free to reach out!I also wanted to say that you don't need to push to get what you want people, especially when it comes to your mindset! You have to let whatever wants to flow in, flow in, and sit with it. No matter how painful it is!Guilt and pain dissipate, they're painful as hell at first, but they will go away. The first cut is the deepest and the first hurdle is the highest. And all of the pain you're feeling is preparing you for something greater, at least that's what happened for me. In fact, from my experience, the more painful it is, the bigger the breakthrough is going to be.I'd also like to talk about resilience very briefly, as I feel that a lot of people have the wrong perception of resilience. They think it's all about pushing, but it's actually the opposite. It's about allowing, and allowing is actually more painful than pushing.Resilience is emotional self-care and self-compassion. If you practise these things, no matter what happens to you, you will always come out the other side stronger. This alternative way is what I coach my clients on, so if you want to find out more, why not book in a FREE 1:1 1 hour coaching call with me? It's worth £297, so amazing value! So I'm curious… Have you ever had a spiritual awakening? Or, maybe even during l

Play Episode Play 60 sec Highlight Listen Later Sep 9, 2020 19:51

I want you to grab your notepad and pen, and ask yourself:Are you making fear a habit? Are you choosing to be in fear?Whatever we don't change, we choose and we choose how we react to situations. We can't choose situations. We can't choose how other people react or respond. We can only choose how we react or respond.Jen says that we've not only made a habit out of smearing our fear, worry and doubt all over each other, but we pat ourselves on the backs for it, because we believe that it shows how much we care. But when people put their fears on you, take a step back, have that pause between the stimulus and the response, which is so powerful and ask yourself: Is this coming from a place that's serving me? Is it coming from that place of fear? Is it coming from their belief that they're trying to impress on me? Should I take it on board or not?It really is your decision, but it's important to take a minute to pause and to question what they're saying, rather than just taking it on board as gospel. Be respectful, of course there's no need to be rude or anything.Fear lives in the future. We worry if we'll ever marry the person of your dreams, if our career will be successful, or if our kids will grow up to be successful. But ask yourself, is it healthy for me to be scared of things that haven't even happened yet? Fear itself is made up because it hasn't even happened yet.All it takes to turn the fear factor around is learning to be comfortable in, instead of terrified of, the unknown. This is done through faith. Is your fear greater than your faith in the unknown? While you're asking yourself this, here's an empowering quote from Helen Keller: “life is either a daring adventure or nothing. To keep our faces towards change and behave like free spirits. The presence of fear is strength un-defeatable”.On the other side of your fear is freedom. When you push yourself outside of your comfort zone, freedom is on the other side. But you've got to get uncomfortable in order to get comfortable. You don't thrive in your comfort zone, you survive in your comfort zone. So you have to decide, do you want to thrive or survive?View fear from your rear view mirror, no matter how intimidating your next great leap forward seems at the moment, it will be a pipsqueak when you look back on it someday. So, why wait?! Why not look at it through pipsqueak coloured glasses right now? Envision your challenges from the future. Look back on them from a place of victory, and they will lose much of their power to paralyse you.Do you remember how nervous you were for your driving test? Or for your first day at work? Or a job interview? Or when you left your job to start a business?Whatever it was, think how terrified you were and how that's now just a drop in the ocean. So, what you're scared of right now is going to be a drop in the ocean in the future.I know I talk a lot about being present and mindful, but it's important to put things in perspective and remember that, in the future, it probably won't really matter. As Mel Robbins says, don't spend more than five minutes worrying about something that you won't care about in five weeks, five months, five years etc.Our greatest fears are our greatest waste of time.Remember that your fears are just in your mind, and they lose the power over you. How amazing would it be to not be paralysed by fear? When you find yourself letting fear push you around, look at it from a different perspective, start by breaking it down, finding out what it is that you're really afraid of.And then flip it round to make it work for you. Not against you. Show it who's boss, feed your fear a suck it sandwich! Break your fear down so you can really look at and diffuse what it is about a situation that's scaring you.Fear is all about how you choose to look at things.

Episode 40: The BIGGEST mistakes service-based entrepreneurs make, with marketing coach & strategist Ashley Mae Fernandez

In this episode, Ashley talks about the BIGGEST mistakes she sees her clients make. The first is thinking that giving value is all about sharing “tips” or “information”...The people who are reading content for tips are people who only want tips. They aren't there to invest, they're there for the free information. The BIGGEST value you can give someone is a mindset shift, because that's where it all starts. You could have the BEST strategy in the world, but if you don't have the mindset for it, you won't achieve the results you want. The next mistake is focussing on the "FLOUR" (what they need, but aren't aware of), instead of the "CAKE" (what they wanted and would do almost anything for)...Ashley once worked with a client whose offer messaging was to help people overcome childhood trauma, but she wasn't getting any clients. So she asked her, what is their childhood trauma costing them? And then, what is the desire that they want? She was attracting women whose childhood trauma was costing them intimacy issues in their relationship. So they had a desire to be more intimate with their husband, but they didn't understand what was holding them back.So she repositioned her offer to target women who wanted to know how to be more intimate with their husband. These women didn't actually know that they had childhood trauma to overcome, so it's no wonder that Ashley's client wasn't seeing results, as these women couldn't relate to her messagings.Helping her clients to overcome childhood trauma was the FLOUR, but improving the intimacy issues in their relationship was the CAKE.Where Ashley sees most service-based entrepreneurs go wrong is creating a “whopper offer”, where they offer 50 million different problems and solutions into one offer. It's not specific enough. The client we discussed earlier is a prime example.Ashley helped her to identify her favourite clients who got the best results, and then they dug into who they are and specifically how she helped them.Ashley thinks that people don't actually mean to create a whopper offer, it's just that they haven't really established who their ideal client is and what they really want (the CAKE). So they make their offer more wide than deep. The next mistake is focussing on the know, like, and trust factor over actually building relationships and selling...People think that if they act the same as the gurus, people will know, like and trust them, and therefore buy. Then they end up acting and pretending to be somebody they aren't, which is the least authentic thing we can do.By following this know, like and trust factor, people end up creating content that doesn't even speak about what they do or how they help people, and then they start to get burnt out.It comes from fear of rejection, judgment and criticism. But, what if fear wasn't a factor? You can even journal this, and you'll find that the reason you don't have what you want is because of fear.Dan Sullivan talks a lot about how a lot of people want confidence to take action, but he says, that's not how it works. You first have to make the commitment, and when you make the commitment to a goal, that's when your primitive brain starts to freak out.You made that decision in your prefrontal cortex, and then your amygdala, or primitive part of the brain, freaks out.The next step is courage, you have to be courageous, not confident because courage means you're doing something, even though you're scared. Then, when you actually have the courage to step out and do it, you do it over and over and over again, then you become capable. Because you're building your skillset and your resilience ultimately. The more you get rejected, with sales for instance, the more capable you become, and confidence comes from knowing and feeling like you're capable.

Most entrepreneurs start their business to have time and financial freedom, but end up burning themselves out because it's their baby and they want it to work.Plus we think we have to work hard to be successful. I definitely had that limiting belief myself, which has been really hard to shift and I'm still trying to shift it.When I burned out, it felt like I had no energy and no motivation for my business. Things just weren't as fun anymore. I wasn't enjoying moments of my life as much. I just felt totally out of alignment. This is why it's so important that if you don't feel in alignment to return to self to get back in connection with self, which can be done through meditation and other forms of self-care.We should have an element of self care and every day, even if it's a minute of gratitude, even when you're in the shower or in bed. We can literally be grateful for anything in our lives! We can also quieten our mind through meditation and journaling. I find journaling a really cathartic and rewarding experience, which I recommend to my clients and they get tons of results from it.The amazing thing about journaling is that you can do it intuitively, so whenever you're feeling overwhelmed or just have too many thoughts racing around in your head, just grab a note pad and just freely write down whatever's coming to mind. The big thing for me in overcoming burnout was the idea of surrendering and having willingness. Returning to self, practising self-compassion, following my intuition and going with the flow. It's a shame that we sometimes have to reach rock bottom to climb back up again. The scariest part is that most people don't even know that they're burned out! They think that they're just exhausted or tired. A lot of people fail to realise that it's from their own doing, and they've actually chosen to invite and welcome burnout out into their life, as brutal as that sounds. There's still a lot of shame around admitting to burnout. I had shame around being burnt out myself! Because I thought, have I even worked hard enough to be burned out? Do I deserve to be burned out?Society has conditioned us to work hard, which is why many of us have the limiting belief that you have to work hard to be successful, and I'm certainly still overcoming that belief.Business doesn't HAVE to be hard and you don't HAVE to make sacrifices to succeed! We need to change our approach. When you work a 9-5, there's a defined boundary between work and play, which is what we need to apply to our businesses.Don't take it as far as thinking that your business is entirely separate to your relationships and my health, because you should be talking about your business with your friends and your family, celebrating your wins with them and sharing your struggles and challenges. It doesn't just have to be with people in the entrepreneurial space. It can be with your friends and family.Surrender is my mantra, but many entrepreneurs don't feel comfortable surrendering control because their business is their baby. But, in order for your business to grow, you have to ALLOW it to grow.I help my clients stay in their zone of genius and leverage it, because it's so easy to get distracted and I've wasted a lot of time and money on coaches or programs, or ads and funnels that weren't aligned with me and my business.Even though the way I was doing things before was working perfectly. So why didn't I just stick with that? Because I was comparing myself to what everyone else was doing it. I just wish, wish, wish that I knew all of this at the start of my business, and that's why I'm so vocal and brutally honest about it because people need to hear this stuff. The gurus shout so loud about what they do and what you should be doing, and “should” needs to be banned as a word anyway! But, you've got to do what's in alignment with YOU!

It's because you don't really believe it is possible for you.You believe (deep down) that it's too hard, or it's just out of your reach, so you don't really try. You don't really go all in.Because deep down…You believe that, for you, it is unlikely to work. Your poisonous beliefs mess up all areas of your life. Hidden from view somewhere in your subconscious. Which is why you can't see them. And once you do see them you can't do anything about them because you're attached to them.So you can sit and dream about living in your dream home & living your dream life. But it will remain a dream.Because… Deep down you don't really believe it could be anything. And you will sit and dream about running a successful business doing what you really want to do. But it will remain a thought.Because…Deep down you don't really believe you can actually have that level of success.Hell you struggle to get a few clients right now.And that's because…Deep down you still believe no one will be interested in what you have to offer or that what you do is that needed. You don't really believe that there are thousands of people that need exactly what you have. And you can sit and wonder about how you can 10 X your income. But you will stay wondering.Because…Deep down you still believe you have to sell your soul to make that happen. You don't really believe that you can have what you really want.Because…Deep down you still believe that it has to be hard and you can't do it. You know you want to have more, but you just don't know how.Because…Your beliefs won't let you.Because…Deep down you believe you're not good enough or clever enough or qualified enough or interesting enough. You will sit & think about all the ways you can create a better life for yourself. But you won't take the actions that will turn that thought into a "thing".Because…You don't really believe that you can do it, you don't want to fail and you don't really want to succeed either because what will people say or think? You know what will happen if you do actually make it?You MIGHT actually be happy!!! But the problem is… Your comfort zone is just too comfortable. You actually don't like being in it but you know it so well, that same existence, it's comfortable. Boring as hell but comfortable. Limiting as hell but comfortable. Restrictive as hell but comfortable.Unlike the unknown. The unknown where your big dreams live. But you don't really believe that you've got what it takes. All these other people do. But you don't.Because…Deep down you don't really think that highly of yourself exactly as you are now. You don't really believe that things can change significantly for you.Because…Deep down, for some reason, you think that you aren't worthy or deserving of an amazing life. And this is why changing your beliefs and aligning yourself with what you DO want is absolutely vital.Until you get rid of these doubtful, pessimistic, unproductive beliefs, completely, it will be near impossible to change your circumstances. It is NOT enough to attempt to change things outside of you WITHOUT doing the work to change your beliefs and perceptions about yourself and the world. The world that sits inside of you.The internal work is far more important than any other work you will do externally, if it is change you want. You can attempt to change and fix external circumstance. But that will make very little difference to how you feel inside, those external changes can't affect the deeper beliefs and feelings that are creating the most havoc within.

Episode 36: Life as a carer and how to overcome emotional exhaustion & burnout, with Stallion Minds founder Heena Patel

I was super excited to interview a very good friend of mine. Heena Patel, who is the founder of stallion minds, where she's also a mental wellbeing content creator. In the episode, we spoke about overcoming burnout and what it's like to be a carer from a young age.Heena has been a carer since she was four years old, so she had to adult at that age:"Being a carer conditions you always put yourself second and so I never experienced being a priority.I loved making other people happy, and I used to pride myself in saying that my happiness comes from their happiness, and you expect this love to come back from the same person."You are more prone to burnout later on in life if you go above and beyond for other people. It's so important to be aware of this because it can typically lead to people taking advantage of you or you might end up undercharging in your business.Heena talks about her dad working 14-16 hour days and my dad was the exact same. He had his own business and he's been able to retire aged 55, but he worked evenings and weekend. My dad taught me 2 things: you have to work hard to be successful and crying is a sign of weakness. But there's a ladder of emotions and anger or crying is a level up from misery or depression, because you're controlling your emotions and offloading them.Heena ended up so burnt out one day that she couldn't move her arms and legs, but she kept going because she's ambitious and passionate, and had a deadline to meet. She was suppressing her emotional response to burnout but we can never suppress the response from our body.So often we put others before us but we have to be selfish and we can't pour from an empty cup. If you're so burnt out and exhausted, you can't help anyone else.If you can't even help yourself, you certainly can't help anyone else, which is why it's so important for mums to have that balance, those boundaries and have time out and self care too. In order to serve their family and their kids and anyone else in the best way that they can.My burnout manifested in my body through an upset tummy and feeling sick. As I always say, when your body is reacting, that's when you've taken it WAY too far. Your body is communicating to you, but so often we ignore it because our mind is so much stronger than our body, but our body is so much more important than our mind. This can be extremely difficult because our minds are amazing at sacrificing our body but they're amazing at doing that. This why it's really important to have a positive and uplifting support network around you.Treat yourself to a “fat” day where you go with the flow and have a really satisfying day where you don't look at the clock AT ALL! Time is a made up concept anyway! Also don't forget to set boundaries with others, which may be difficult, you might even lose some people but it'll be worth it.Create that space rather than getting frustrated, don't become somebody else's doormat and practise self-respect.Those of you that have never wanted to challenge themselves for the first time who are easily triggered, don't worry too much about trying to move from negative to positive or try the thing in the middle, which is nothing.Make yourself unavailable through blocking out time that you work, so have sales calls on certain days and client calls on other days. This is a simple productivity hack but it's so effective! Also turn your blue ticks off on WhatsApp!In the meantime, feel free to join me at my masterclass “How to scale your business, whilst leveraging your zone of genius, to prevent burnout” on Wednesday 12th August at 6pm BST!

As you'll be doing things YOUR way, and doing things YOUR way is hell of a lot more sustainable than doing things somebody else's way!Don't get me wrong, the gurus are extremely inspirational but inspiration doesn't pay the bills or get you results, and it certainly doesn't scale your business, empowerment does! For so long, the gurus have been “inspiring” us to do things THEIR way because it worked for THEM. You know what I'm talking about, funnels, ads, webinars, the list goes on and on! Well, NEWS FLASH!!! What works for somebody else might not work for you. Ever experienced that before? So, what if we politely rejected the gurus and took our lives and our business into our own hands? Hmm… That sounds more empowering right?! Well, that's what I'll take you through in this program so prepared to feel more empowered than you've ever felt before! This masterclass will also help you to scale your business in a way that, best of all, doesn't burn you out.I hate to “guru bash” again, I don't but I'll be polite, but the “gurus” have also created a “hustle pandemic”, yes I'm going to call it a pandemic as “hustling” is causing people all over the world SERIOUS problems in their health, family life and so much more. This is why I've started the “Anti-Hustle Revolution”, which I'd love for you to be part of - no pressure though of course! In case you don't know much about my personal story, I've burned out MANY MANY times before and it's therefore become my mission to help women all over the world to scale their business in a way that's in alignment with what they want, leverages their zone of genius and gives them a work-life balance. We become so passionate about our businesses that sometimes we forget why we started it, which is usually for the time freedom, but we end up working more hours on our business than we did on our 9-5. How crazy does that seem now?!But, there is another way…There's a way to be passionate about your business and make it a great success without burning yourself out, through never having time off, not spending as much time with loved ones and not having enough time for yourself and self-care.The alternative way that will serve you better 1 billion percent is what I will take you through in this masterclass, so strap yourself in because you're in for one hell of a transformation my friends!I can't wait to see you on Wednesday 12th August at 6pm BST!

I wanted to share my experience with you guys as I know so many people out there are struggling with burnout. I literally saw a post on Facebook just yesterday where somebody said “I took a break and didn't feel guilty!”, which shocked me.You really can't pour from an empty cup and I've learned this the hard way. Being a coach is the BEST job in the world, hands down, but it's also extremely mentally and emotionally draining, especially as an empath as I take on other people's emotions and struggles as my own.As women, we are such care givers and need to learn to be a bit more “selfish”. It's ok to take time out for yourself, in fact you NEED to and you MUST!Let's take away the “NEED” and “MUST" to work, and apply the “NEED” and “MUST” to take breaks and practise self-care.If you feel guilty for taking breaks, ask yourself “why do I feel guilty?”. As you know, I absolutely love journalling and it's something that I recommend to all of my clients as you can uncover the beliefs that are leading you to feel guilty through journallingI'm definitely still struggling with the belief that you have to work hard to earn money and be successful because I saw my dad working super hard throughout his business career and he was able to retire aged 55 due to this.My dad worked evenings and weekends and so I assumed if you have a business, this is how things “SHOULD" be, again another word I absolutely detest and think should be banned, oops I said should!!But guys…It doesn't HAVE to be this way, you really can choose another way, but it's up to you. Business doesn't have to be hard and a slog, it can be fun and flow with ease!I also had another belief because I live with my boyfriend who works a 9-5, and so thought that I have to be working 8 hours a day, which doesn't have to be the case.I started working in my business so that I could work the hours that I want to work so if I want to work 4 hours a day then I will. It's all about listening to your intuition and asking yourself, “why am I behaving in this way?” and “what belief is this coming from?”, as thoughts always stem from beliefs.Like I said, I had my dad's belief, so do you have a belief from your parents that you're holding onto that's no longer serving you?We have to be kinder to ourselves, especially during this time. So definitely carve out your personal and self-care time before scheduling in your business calls and meetings. As I said, it's a shame that I had to hit rock bottom in order to find out that how I was working wasn't sustainable but I'm glad that I can now look back on it and be grateful for the experience and the journey I'm on.I know there's going to be a lot more bumps in the road but now I'm prepared for them and I'm 100000% going to make more time for myself and prioritise my personal needs over my business needs.I've also learned to remind myself that my business doesn't define me and that our physical and mental health is the most important thing. So, if you're wanting to create more balance in your life, look after yourself, set boundaries and be more productive with your time, please do book in a FREE 1:1 1 hour coaching call with me here: https://calendly.com/findyourmojocoaching/free1hourcoachingcall.

Episode 33: How to overcome imposter syndrome and get visible (solo episode)

Play Episode Play 60 sec Highlight Listen Later Jul 28, 2020 10:58

As women, we tend to care more about what people think and are more reluctant to push ourselves outside of our comfort zone.I do actually have a theory about this that isn't proven but it's just something that I've been thinking about a lot recently. Now I don't know whether it's true or not but I'd love to get your view on it so let me know!I believe the reason why women tend to be more susceptible to imposter syndrome and more reluctant to push themselves outside of our comfort zone is because...Primitively in our cave people days, men were forced to push themselves outside of their comfort zone, where they were the hunter gatherers and literally had to go out for the kill.Whereas, women were the care-givers looking after the children and the home, and as such, they weren't really forced to push themselves outside of their comfort zones. Our brains are millions of years old and haven't really evolved since our primal days, which this is why we have to give ourselves credit for the idea of doing new things feeling scary and HARD.I always ask my clients who are scared to get visible and put themselves out there: "what are you afraid of?" and I dig deeper through asking them "why?" over and over again, until we get to the root cause. You can do this exercise on your own through journaling, keep asking yourself "why do I feel this way?", it might take 3 why's, it might take 10 why's, but you will finally get to the "bottom why", which is your limiting belief that's keeping you safe, telling you it's BETTER to be comfortable and not get visible. This might be fear of judgement of what other people think as you've always been criticised, or negative self-talk that you're not good enough as this is what you've always been told. It's really important for us to understand why we're behaving in a certain way, because beliefs become thoughts, thoughts become behaviours, and behaviours become actions.Unfortunately, a lot of our beliefs aren't even ours as we're conditioned from the age of 0-7, where we're absorbing everything our parents tell us and accepting it as the truth and fact.So ask yourself: "what is holding me back from getting visible?" and/or "what's stopping me from putting myself outside of my comfort zone?"Once you have that awareness, you're half way there.I've found with a lot of the women I work with that the fear of getting visible roots from feeling like an imposter or a fraud, but what I tell them is that everyone is faking it and nobody is 100% confident. Even Hollywood stars like Emma Watson have been vocal about suffering with imposter syndrome! So don't beat yourself up for feeling like an imposter or a fraud, it's perfectly normal and to be honest, it would be abnormal if you felt totally confident in yourself!Ask yourself: "what is it that I'm afraid of?". Are you afraid that people are going to find out that you're not perfect? Well... NEWS FLASH!!! Nobody is perfect! We're all just winging our way through this crazy journey called life, so we need to be kinder to ourselves and remind ourselves that nobody is expecting us to show up as perfect! In fact, if you share your mistakes, struggles and challenges, people will be more likely to relate to you and want to invest in your services, so it's actually better to show up as your authentic self!People buy from people who offer a solution to their problem. So if you offer a solution to your client's problem and they connect with you as a person, that client is pretty much in the bag.People want to know who you really are, deep deep down, so stop pretending to be somebody you're not and start showing up as your true self.In regards to fear, instead of asking yourself: "what's the worst that could happen?", ask yourself: "what's the best that could happen?!".

Episode 32: Stop listening to the gurus and create a morning routine that works for you (solo episode)

Frankly, I've had enough of the gurus telling us what we should and shouldn't be doing. No morning routine is prescriptive and you have to find what works for you. It's all about trial and error.I've tried the 5am club and it did NOT work for me! I felt sick every day, and I would be exhausted by 3pm and think "where the hell is my bed?! I'm so tired!!". My conclusion from this is that you have to do what works for you.Very recently, I've not been setting an alarm and it's the BEST thing I've ever done! If you think about it, it's so unnatural to wake up to the sound of an alarm. Your body almost goes into shock mode, and are you really going to start your day being in shock mode?!Sometimes I wake up at 6am, sometimes 7am, sometimes 8am! I'm not putting pressure on myself to wake up at a certain time, I wake up when my body is ready. So often we listen to our mind, listen to the gurus and don't listen to our body, and it's our body that rules over everything else! If our body doesn't operate properly, we're screwed! We need to take care of our body more than our mind.If you can, try not to set an alarm and try to wake up at the same time every day, including on the weekend. Especially if you're dealing with insomnia or sleep deprivation.Once I wake up, I don't look at my phone, I go straight into our spare bedroom where I have my yoga mat already laid out, and I do Tony Robbins' priming technique every single day WITHOUT FAILURE. This gets me in the right mindset and gives me the energy I need for the day.Definitely listen to the 30-minute priming technique video. I love it because Tony Robbins gets you to dance around, which we don't do enough, and it's the perfect way to get you pumped for the day!Bob Baker's affirmation videos are also AMAZING! You can practise affirmations about gratitude, positivity, abundance and so much more! I'll also do a visualisation, which again you can get off YouTube. I've also been loving manifestation and mindset expert Mary Kate's videos recently! It's also important to get your body moving, I don't necessarily do yoga but I do some gentle stretching. Although I would highly recommend Yoga with Adriene! After I do my meditation and movement, I then journal. I'm a chronic over-thinker and have always been a high achiever so I'll write down all my thoughts and to do list for the day, so that's it out of my mind as this can overwhelm me.I also write down affirmations because if it worked for Jim Carrey, I'm going to give it my best shot - fake it 'til you make it! The more you tell yourself something, the more it's likely to come true. After journaling, I drink a lot of water and run 10k every other day. Running is amazing - getting outside in the fresh air, being in nature and seeing some cute little doggies to brighten my day! I also hate the gym so I do weekly pilates and ballet barre. In short, be open to trying new things, stop listening to the gurus, don't force yourself to wake up at 5am or to drink apple cider vinegar, and just do what works for you!If you're wanting help to create a morning routine that works for you, book in a FREE 1:1 1 hour coaching call with me here!

Episode 31: How to overcome your limiting beliefs and learn to love yourself, with business and money coach Rosemary Cunningham

Rosemary Cunningham helps therapists, coaches and heart-centred business women clear money blocks and attract ideal clients with business and money coaching.Rosemary comes from a healing background and was a nurse before working in complementary therapy for 27 years!!!Rosemary believes that we listen so much to what other people feel or what we think other people think we should be doing when half the time that's not the truth anyway. One of the biggest lessons Rosemary learned from her first spiritual business mentor was judgment starts with us. So if we think someone's judging us it's because we're judging us. Donald Trump's a brilliant example of this, he doesn't accept judgment because he doesn't judge himself.30% of what you feel is you judging yourself and 70% is judgments from the collective. So you can take the 30% and think, I can deal with that and that feels quite good after the hundred percent. You can literally package up the rest of the crap that you've taken on from everyone else, whether it's the news or your neighbours or what you think people think you should be doing. You can almost make it into a lovely parcel. And then take your hands together and say: "I don't want this, thank you. I'm giving this back." One of the most important things in business is to identify who your perfect ideal clients are so you can market to them, and when you're so in your zone, aligned with what they want, and not trying to please everyone, you will start attracting those clients. People say your vibe attracts your tribe, but they don't really understand what it means, and it means what you just said, the energy that you put out is the energy you get back. So you attract people who have similar energy to you, and this relates to money.I recently did an Instagram live with an amazing business and mindset coach called Olesya Oligradska all about sales and money mindset. We discussed the Law of Attraction and that in order to manifest and attract clients that are willing to pay for your services and want to invest in you and your business, you have to believe it yourself FIRST.You have to ask yourself, would I pay for that? If you wouldn't, you're probably going to attract people that wouldn't be willing to pay for it either. You have to be willing to invest in your own services and part with that money in order to attract people that will equally be willing to part with that money too.The reticular activating system in your brain plays snap and looks for situations and scenarios that match and reinforce your thoughts and beliefs. So if you're thinking that business has to be hard and nobody will be willing to pay your prices, that's what you'll attract. Running a business doesn't have to be hard and can be fun, light and easy. So is what you're telling yourself and thinking true? Is it helping you? If not, what could be a better serving thought and belief? What do you want to start attracting into your life and business?Business is 80% mindset after all. You can have the greatest strategies in the world, but if you haven't got the mindset to support that, there's no point in spending that money on Facebook ads or putting all the effort into your strategy as you won't get the results you want.A lot of people think it takes 21 days to create a habit but Dr Caroline Leaf says it takes 21 days to create a memory, and that memory isn't enough. You need another 42 days at least so 63 days in total, to solidify that in your mind, but then you still need to practice it every day. The work is never done, and unfortunately, our millennial generation are very much into the quick-fixes. But you have to work on your habits every single day, and get to the root cause of the problem to make serious and meaningful change.

Have you tried ads, funnels, lead magnets etc and you're still not able to attract your ideal client?Maybe you're attracting clients who aren't willing to invest, or, no clients at all, does that sound like you?Filled with simple steps that can be implemented straight away, this episode will give you results on social media FAST.How do I find my audience on social media?Use a mixture of Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. Pick minimum 2 platforms, and maximum 3 platforms.Utilise Facebook groups to connect with your ideal client, but don't sell in the Facebook group or through DMs as you might annoy the group founder!Post questions and valuable content in the group 3-4 times a week, and engage with other people in the group 4-5 times a week to position yourself as an expert. How do I utilise DMs?DMs are SO powerful! Don't DM people in a copy and paste or spammy way.For LinkedIn, personalise the default connect message so that people will be more likely to want to connect with you.DM 10-20 people with personalised messages every day.Social media is SOCIAL media; not CONTENT media. It's all about connection! Make sure you connect with the person on whichever platform before sliding into their DMs.It's definitely not stalker-ish to follow and message your ideal client on social media, just don't sell to them straight away!Should I use DMs for market research?Yes, but offer something valuable in exchange. If you don't know what to offer, reach out to me!What should I do if somebody doesn't respond to a DM?Most people will, especially if you complement them! But give it a few days before chasing up as people are extremely busy.Should I use paid advertising?Don't invest in paid advertising unless you've spoken to an expert, and definitely don't boost a post! You'll waste a lot of money making mistakes if you don't fully understand how social media paid advertising works, so outsource it when you can afford it and if it's relevant to your business. What should I be posting?Video shortcuts your ideal client through the like, know and trust journey a hell of a lot faster than static images.People also want to know the owner of a small business and whose pockets they're filling.Post at least 2 videos a week on your feed, and at least 1 video on your story every day.Do I need a website?Don't invest in a website until you're completely clear about who you are as a business, such as your mission, vision, values and purpose, as you may need to totally overhaul the website at a later date, which could cost you a lot of money!Start with an impactful social media presence and a landing page if necessary. Why has my engagement dropped?Engage with people as much as you can and allocate 30-60 minutes during the day to like and comment on people's posts.Ensure you comment more than 4 words because the algorithm will penalise you if your comments are too short. The algorithm rewards you for hard work and effort, there are no shortcuts I'm afraid, including posting meaningless comments! How do I attract my ideal client and not attract my non-ideal client? You need to be crystal clear about who your ideal client is and what your business vision, mission and purpose are, to ensure that your messaging is aligned and that there isn't any confusion. This will ensure that the people who engage with you are more likely to be "ideal clients" than "non-ideal clients" as they'll be aligned with your messaging, and will be more likely to value your offering and eventually invest. If you're somebody who needs the accountability to implement these tips, why not book in a FREE strategy session with me? Casey Mason, podcast host and founder of The Real Hair Project, helps women transition from employee to entrepreneur, so they can move from feeling unfulfilled in their job to become a passionate business owner. I've been listening to The Real Hair Project podcast for about a year and it's actually the inspiration behind my podcast!Casey believes that there's no such as failure, it's your first attempt in learning. When you “fail” or make a mistake, you'll be tempted to walk away and think that business isn't for you, but what if you just try it again and did that one thing differently?Or maybe you can learn something from the situation? It's all about a perspective change. We're so quick to look at “I didn't get X number of people at my event” or “X number of people didn't sign up to my course” or “I don't have X number of followers”. When we really should be looking at the quality of people that have showed up for us, or spent money, or followed us, or are communicating with us. We get so fixated on the end goal that sometimes we forget to appreciate the small things along the way and what we do have. It's all about flipping that script on yourself and, and asking yourself: “why even put these ridiculous restraints on myself?”, “why am I doing that?”, “where's that coming from?”, and “is there another way to look at this?”.Accept that it's okay to make mistakes, and it's okay to try and fail and go on a new path. Successful people aren't standing on a mountain of successes, there're standing on a mountain of failures. The difference between a winner and a loser is that winner tries once more.We set such high expectations for ourselves that a lot of the time, we're setting ourselves up for failure.Casey thinks that women struggle to talk about money as there's a lack of communication around it. There's also tall poppy syndrome where people will bring you down if you're doing better than them, but it should be about what everyone brings to the table. People don't want to seem like they're doing better than anyone else, especially women as we all want to feel like we're equal and we're all supporting each other. The more we talk about money, the more we'll be able to remove that taboo side of it. In order to keep the conversations open, it needs to stop being made so secretive and just become another part of your conversation, and if somebody does earn more than you, asking them how they got there.Every time Casey would spend on her credit card, she'd have this sick feeling in her stomach, and she'd put pressure on herself to start earning some money, which would wreak havoc in her mind. It wasn't until she learned that she was operating from a place of scarcity that she could start making shifts. If you feel stuck in that really negative scarcity thought cycle, do something simple like start looking for expensive cars in your area. When you start looking for wealth, you welcome wealth into your life. Casey wasn't where she wanted to be but she started operating from a place where she wanted to be.Casey has struggled with anxiety for most of her teenage years and early 20s, and so was always highly stressed and anxious, and that's who she identified as. But she decided that she didn't want to be that person anymore, and she started to slowly rewire her anxious thoughts and believe that she was capable of more. In those times where you're struggling, that's when you need to dig deep. By asking yourself “why?” over and over again: “why do I feel this way?”, “where has this come from?”, “what would it look like if it was different?" and “what would life look like if I believe the opposite of this?”.If you're wanting to transform your beliefs about money and start attracting abundance, book a FREE 1:1 1 hour coaching call with me!

Convincing yourself that there's something missing when it comes to business growth, ease and money. You tell yourself stories about how you're not good enough, knowing enough, deserving enough to access the level of money and success that you want. You tell yourself that lie repeatedly and it becomes wired in your mind, which becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.Get this...Anytime you say you can't have you want and there's something missing, you're telling a lie that you made up.You've probably been working on your mindset for years. You've played with affirmations, visualisations and journaling regularly. You understand how abundance works, but even so, you can't make it work for you, at least not consistently nor on purpose. You know that abundance is all around you, you can feel it energetically, but you can never really grab it and make it yours. No matter how hard you try, no matter how much you work and no matter how much you throw everything at it.Does that sound familiar?I know this perfectly describes where I was until recently and it shifted only when I truly, deeply, owned the lie I was telling myself. An essential money frequency and attraction truth. There's nothing magical that you need to do to have what you want.Money doesn't come as a result of you doing stuff, money comes as a result of you becoming an energetic match to it.Money responds to your being, it reacts to your energy, and your energy is something you choose. So choose your energy around money that actually works for you, and become an energetic match for more money than you need.If you're wanting to transform your relationship with money and increase your abundance vibration, please book in a FREE 1:1 1 hour coaching call with me here: https://calendly.com/findyourmojocoaching/free1hourcoachingcall, I'd love to help!

Episode 27: The 7 reasons why you're not making enough money in your business (solo episode)

Play Episode Play 60 sec Highlight Listen Later Jun 22, 2020 22:27

Reason 1: You're letting your clients walk all over you.The truth is, you're not in the driving seat right now. Your clients are taking you for a ride, and it's not the journey you want to be on, or should be on.How many times has a client challenged your pricing or said you're expensive, and you immediately drop your prices to cater to THEIR needs? Sounds familiar right?Well, ENOUGH.Enough of your client ruling you and telling you how much you should charge.Enough of you stooping to your client's expectations of how much you charge.Reason 2: You're attracting low paying clients. The truth is, when your prices are average or below average, you're going to be attracting low paying clients into your business. The second, literally the second, you say NO to low paying clients, is the second, you start attracting high paying clients.Reason 3: You're listening to the money stories you were told as a child. How many times were you told as a child that “you have to work hard to earn money”, or “money is the root of all evil”, or “money doesn't grow on trees”? Well in fact, money does grow on trees because it's paper.Without even realising it, these negative and limiting money beliefs are following you around every single of minute of every single day.Reason 4: You're living in a lack mindset. This is where people go wrong, they live in a lack mindset of thinking about the opposite of what they don't want. So, they end up attracting more of what they don't want.Any time that we challenge our ego, such as by rejecting a client, back to reason 2, we go into panic mode as our subconscious mind believes this to be making us unsafe. It's the same chemical reaction as being chased by a tiger, but we aren't being chased by a tiger, we're simply rejecting a client.See how un-scary it is now? The ego is addicted to certainty but everything you want is on the other side of safety.Reason 5: You don't believe you're worthy of wealth.Back to reason 3, because all of us have been conditioned to think a certain way about money, a lot of us don't actually think we're worthy of money.Controversial opinion but I personally don't believe in affirmations. Frankly, I think they're BS.As I'm feeling generous today, I'll give you the confirmation (yep, not affirmation) that I give to my clients...“My money mindset is something I'm working on and I look forward to bearing a fruitful future”.Reason 6: You're not positioning yourself as an authority in your market. These 6 reasons are what will stack up to you becoming the most recognised expert and authority in any market:1. If you dominate one social media platform before you move to the next.2. If you are focused on a clear niched down service or product that resolves your ideal client's problem in the best way possible.3. If you are using your own methodology that allows your client to get out of pain and into a pleasure quicker than the old methods.4. If you are leading with your client's results so people can see clearly that your method works.5. If you are charging above the rest which allows people to know you are the best at what you do.6. You are positioned as an expert in your industry because people want the best and will pay for the best.Reason 7: You're hanging around with the wrong people. The truth is, what has held you back up until now are beliefs around your possibility that aren't even yours. You have borrowed them from someone else. The question is, are you ready to let go of them now and take your business and life to a completely different level? If you lack in personal belief then you must borrow someone else's until you start seeing it as a possibility in your life. That's where I c

How to start feeling worthy of money. ALWAYS.When you decide you are deserving right now as the current version of you just because you are.Money follows immediately without any need for MORE hustle, or hard work. Here's the worthiness distortion you've been buying into since it's floating around in the collective consciousness. We are educated to believe that we need to DO something in order to be worthy of deserving anything. And this very belief is so f..ed up, right there.Because we get to assess our worthiness on exterior factors. That will never make us be worthy enough.Because nothing can make you be what you already ARE.You are deserving just because you breathe in this world, you are good enough just because you are, you are worthy of it all just because you are and you get to receive just because you are.Besides this absolute truth about YOU, here's another one, about money:Money is not a separate intelligence, outside of you, judging you, assessing if your work is worthy, if you are worthy, if you finally qualify for receiving… money is just responding to you.So you if you're not getting the money results you want in your life right now, it's time for you to choose to see things differently, choose to release the limiting stories, choose to release the limiting emotions, choose to assume new thoughts, feelings and vibration.AND become an energetic match to receiving it all. Episode 25: Stop listening to the gurus and follow your own intuition (solo episode)

Yep, that's right. I'm not going to name any names, but these gurus have a whole team working behind them. I am going to name a name, actually. So we all know Gary V, and Gary V says we've got to push out all this content, content, content, because content is king. But if there's only one of you, it's important to remember that he's got a whole team of like 20 people, maybe more, and millions of dollars marketing budget.Stop comparing your chapter one to somebody else's chapter 50, and stop letting the gurus force you to do stuff that you don't want to do.You really have to lean in to what feels good for you, and by feeling good, I don't mean holding onto things that keep you inside of your comfort zone. I mean asking yourself what's going to be serving your clients? So that's why people recommend to only pick to social media platforms because you don't want to overwhelm yourself and you're still serving those clients on those two platforms without overwhelming yourself with having to deal with five different platforms. You have to interpret what the gurus say and apply it to your life, and sometimes it's not going to be the exact same, and a lot of the time, the results aren't going to be the same because there's a lot they don't tell us.It's kind of like the iceberg analogy that there's so much going on underneath and so much that's happened before that they don't even tell us about. This is really what I want to focus on in my podcast, and that's being really truthful, honest and raw with you guys.I guess I'm pulling back the curtain on what the gurus are saying and what is right, what is wrong and what you should be listening to and what you shouldn't. For instance, I read everywhere that you should be waking up at 5am, as it's what all the billionaires do, and I think the advice came from men. This is where we have to appreciate that male and female energy is very, very different. As women need more sleep than men, according to studies. So see what works for you! Try it out, if it doesn't work, don't feel bad or beat yourself up about it.I tried the 5am club and I was so tired to point where I felt sick for the whole day and I just wasn't productive.I know people wake up at 5am to have a more productive day, but what works for me in times of productivity is to time block.I would suggest to time block every half an hour of your day, which really helps to keep laser focussed and get stuff ticked off your to do list.Gurus are there to help and to inspire, they're not there to be mirrored, mimicked or competed against. You have to interpret what they're saying in your own way.See what works for you and if it doesn't work out, please don't beat yourself up about it because the gurus have probably had years and years of trying. What you see isn't always what you get.Like I said before with the ice berg analogy, there's so much going on behind the scenes. Things that have happened before that they haven't even told us about, so I would definitely be aware of this and pay attention to it.I hope this hasn't been too much of a rant, but I hope it's been uplifting and helpful. And feel free to contact me as always if you have any further questions and I hope you look forward to the next episode.

Lotte is the founder of Top Sales Amsterdam where she's a sales consultant for B2Bs, as well as being a successful keynote speaker!Lotte helps companies who sell to other companies with improving sales results, sales processes and sales people, through consultancy services, training and coaching. So usually clients come to her with a sales related question or goal. Such as, how can they get new customers? Is their sales strategy still relevant? Or they attract new customers easily but they also easily leave, so they ask what they can do to increase the retention rate.Lotte has been in sales since she was 17 and used to sell lottery tickets via telephone! She then worked B2B for a big data company within the financial industry. But she realised she wasn't happy in her job. So she started investigating her purpose, actively finding out what she wanted to do in life, and what was going to make her happy. Where she found that she wanted to build her own sales consultancy business, and this was just 6 months ago!Lotte has been through quite a journey where she was feeling anxious in her job and so started investigating where this feeling was coming from, and then thought maybe this was because she wasn't living her purpose, and missing something. What she needed was a higher goal in life that she could actually live for and work on every day.She wrote down everything that makes her happy, what doesn't make her happy and where does she see herself, and then realised she wanted to be on stage, but she wasn't a good singer. So what could she do on stage? So she became a keynote speaker of course! If you start writing down all your thoughts, at some point you can connect the dots. As Steve Jobs says, you can't connect the dots going forward, you can only connect the dots going backwards. To become a keynote speaker, Lotte started doing research through looking into potential partnerships with speaker agencies. She started following other speakers on Instagram and took every opportunity to speak, even if it was in a smaller community. She even started through speaking and pitching in front of her friends. She got comfortable with it.Lotte thinks that women typically struggle with sales more than men because women have traditionally not been in charge of their own money or making money. We've seen our mothers and grandmothers behave differently around money, and now we're in transition, which is inevitably going to feel uncomfortable. It almost hasn't become normal yet for women to be in charge of making money for the family. If clients spend money on your business or service, they're going to make money from it as well. It's an investment and an opportunity to grow. You don't go to a shop and take something without paying it back, so we shouldn't undervalue our services and offer them for free. It's all about mindset. The most important thing is how you speak to yourself, because you need to be very aware of your thoughts and what you're telling yourself. If you really hate sales, Lotte says to accept the fact you hate it and let it be ok. Try to start with little things, if you don't want to call a client, maybe send them an e-mail first and ask them if you can do a follow up call.Even get into your confident "sales" character, fake it 'til you make it right?! When you detach your emotions from a sales call, it'll be a lot easier to stay cool, calm and collected. Don't be afraid to show your emotions but just don't let them get the better of you.Sales is an emotional investment so don't be afraid to show your emotions, the cold, hard "Wolf of Wall Street" sale just doesn't work anymore. We're moving away from this masculine, emotionless, direct selling. People don't want that anymore. People are sick of being sold, they want a fair exchange

You need to have the right strategies to not just have a happy go lucky month, but have a proven system to sustain this. You don't have to have everything figured out. You don't need all the systems and if you want to scale and have consistent income, find a way to hire the best coach to get out there to make it happen. Get your first few clients but then make sure you level up through investing in a coach. At the start of each month, Jasmin recommends to ask yourself: what am I still tolerating? Am I still doing things I don't enjoy? Am I making enough money to outsource? If you can outsource, you'll have more energy to serve your clients. When Jasmin invested in her first coach, she had to move out of my flat, rent it on Airbnb and stay with friends, because she wanted to pay for a £10k coach. She didn't have a safety net nor have anyone to support her. The biggest steps you make are when you step outside of your comfort zone. You're going to spend money anyway so why not invest in a coach, make money faster and get paid back for your investment? When you invest in a coach and then get clients, you'll be able to pay it back! As you'll have a roadmap to follow and accountability. The only real excuse or objection that anybody has on a sales call is: will this work for me? That's the only reason why people don't buy, if they're not certain about your services. If you don't know how to actually have a sales conversation and show any self-doubt or lack of confidence, your prospective client will sense that and they won't trust you. So they won't have the certainty to get the help from you that they need.Instead of fake it ‘til you make it; face it ‘til you make it! But the thing that was frustrating Téa was that they weren't telling her how to do it and they weren't giving her the tips or the steps that she needed to put in place so she could have this dream life.So that's when she came up with the idea to create something that makes us smarter in our lives. Smart Women Society really focuses on practical and actionable tips, and breaks down really complex tough topics that seem a bit scary to a lot of us. SWS makes them digestible and easy to understand so we can make those strides in our life.In addition to SWS, Téa is a risk consultant for a big four accountancy firm and even runs a marketing and social media business! She manages all three through working efficiently, by cutting out all distractions, having allocated time to check Instagram, and not watching Netflix or watching it in the background while you're doing another task. We all have the same amount of hours in the day. If you want to do something enough, you'll find the time. When you love what you do, it's really hard to switch off because you want to be working on your business at all times, and want to see it grow. But you forget that you have to grow WITH it, and in order for you to grow, you've got to fill your own cup. Téa says if you want to start a business then you should go for it, what is the worst thing that can happen if it fails? If it kicks off, run with it, go for it, and it can grow into the next big thing. If it fails, and it fails miserably, that's also great because you've learned something and you can learn from that failure. So there's no worst case scenario. When you start something new, it's either going to go really well or you learn from it. You're doing yourself more of a disservice not trying something and not going after your passion. So just go for it and don't think that you need to have every step planned out because most people are making it up as they go along anyway!Messy action is better than no action. Also put everything into a calendar and give yourself a 10-15 minute break in between each task or call/appointment. Knowing what's coming up will allow you to get things done far quicker. You'll have days where you're super productive and you get lots done; and then you'll have days where you need to reset and recharge, be kind to yourself and know that you're not going to get that much work done that day. Anna is a spiritual mindset coach who helps 6 figure coaches to create more IMPACT & INCOME whilst working less than 20 hours a week! She helps them to ALIGN their business with their Higher Self.Anna has a five pillar signature framework where they work on money mindset, in order to develop a CEO mindset and a work/life balance, implement self-care practises and learn how to manifest. We typically end up forcing ourselves to work all the hours because we think that's what being busy is, and what creates success.Anna had real burnout in 2003, just after she started her first business, and it took her five years to recover from it because she got severe chronic fatigue syndrome.Hustling just isn't sustainable. You see the money coming in but it becomes a vicious cycle, but how long can you do that before you crash and burn?Anna was mind blown when she discovered money mindset because it helped her to make money whilst working less. It changed her life and took her to the point where she now has a thriving coaching business and helps her clients to do the same. We're preconditioned in society to work hard and it goes back to the baby boomer generation who had to work super hard, and then we had the 2008 recession where people had to work really hard. Fortunately, we're moving to a society where it is becoming more known and acceptable to work less and earn more. There's also a lot of guilt both consciously and subconsciously when we start to make money easily, which is a huge self-sabotage.People can feel like they're cheating the system when they've made money and not worked super hard for it, then they start over delivering so that they can justify it and feel like they deserve it.If you're burnout, exhausted or have a lack of motivation, you need to work on self-compassion first. We talk about self-love; but if you're a high achiever, you're typically not very kind to yourself. Most people go straight into mindset, but Anna's clients see such huge results because they start with the self-compassion part. If you love yourself, then you can't have a lack mindset. It isn't just about self-love. It's about accepting yourself for who you are. Self-acceptance is more important than self-love. How can you love yourself if you don't accept yourself? We have to wear so many hats as an entrepreneur, and we forget to wear the HR hat. That's why you need a coach or a mentor, because it's so easy to get caught up in your own head. Pushing for what you want is actually counterproductive as you can sometimes push your goals further away from you. Pushing is masculine hustle energy, which is a mix of desperation, lack of self-compassion, lack of self-love, and it's achievement oriented. Anna helps her clients to connect with their feminine energy, because that's what self-compassion is. We think that we need to push for sales; but if you start with the feminine energy (flow and intuition) and then bring in the masculine energy (hustle) to close the sale, you'll be far more likely to close a sale. Luckily, we're moving towards feminine oriented sales, where it's more about connection and relationship.Anna helps her clients to shift their mindset in sales. It's not about taking someone's money; it's an opportunity for them to accept your service and be helped by you, and they have to give you money otherwise there's not a balance in the energy exchange.People struggle to manifest because they've got an invisible block in their subconscious mind that's stopping them from thinking that it's even possible, and even if you've got 1% doubt about something you, you won't be able to manifest it. Shel helps female business owners craft their proprietary money maker, whilst infusing intentionality and structure so they can build their legacy, without burning out!I was so excited to speak to Shel as she's a fellow Gemini (it's my birthday on Tuesday and hers on Monday!) and she's an INCREDIBLE business coach!Forgive yourself for whatever season you're in, maybe you'll have a season where you're hustling and super busy; and then another season where you need to take a step back and have a rest.Shel actually shattered her elbow and was forced to heal it for 2 years; but she didn't let it hold her back! She used the time to build a website and start her business. The universe is always serving us what we want and need, sometimes when we don't even know we want or need it ourselves, and it can be “good” or “bad”. Although there really isn't such thing as “good” or “bad”; it's the meaning we give to it. This healing time gave Shel the opportunity to start the business of her dreams! How's that for turning a “negative” instead a “positive”?!Shel started journaling to get her through the experience, she called it her “can do journal” and wrote in there whatever she “could do”, she would then pick one of the things she “could do” to move her forward without feeling too much pressure.Whenever you face a challenge, ask your highest self what she would do. Ask yourself, what is my minimal viable output? What do I feel good about doing each day? What is the one thing I want to do? Who am I committing to be today?Niching down might not be the best thing for your business…There's always one way of doing something. Don't let your fear of not having a niche hold you back from taking action.Just show up as you are and you will attract the right people who are meant to read your message. At this point, niches are becoming over-saturated anyway!Instead of meeting your audience where they're at, why not challenge them to think differently? Show them something that's going to transform their life. Also, how can you know who your niche is if you haven't even spoken to anyone? You don't decide who your ideal client is; your ideal client decides if they're right for you. You can't identify who your niche is before you put out some sort of messaging, and listen to your intuition to decide what this messaging should be.Shel recommends to use Instagram “saved collections” where you save the most recent post from the people who follow you to see the consistencies between them and allow this to become your “niche”. Don't decide on your niche before you've explored and tested the market. I draw similarities and differences between my clients to get real clarity on who I'm attracting, and then tailor my messaging to these people to attract them.Always remember that no market is too saturated when you start being yourself. The more that people undercharge, the more it becomes the industry standard, and it brings down everyone's vibrations. Always charge at least 20% more than you think you should! When you charge more, you don't need as many clients, so you can give each individual client more attention, focus and value. Acknowledge your inner care giver but also remember that you have to take care of yourself first, so raise your vibrations through raising your prices.Wouldn't you rather give a nice, warm hug to a few people, or high fives to loads of people?People who say that “you're too expensive” or “I can't afford it” shows you that they're going to need more mindset work, so increase your prices even more for these clients. If you see a red flag from a client but you want to work with them, offer them a coaching session to get a taste, and give them value, and then decide if you want to offer them the entire program.

I was super excited to interview Jenna Black on the podcast, as I've been listening to her podcast “The Jenna Black Show” for about a year, and am OBSESSED with it!Jenna actually inspired me to become a money mindset coach and start a podcast myself, so I have a lot to thank her for.Journaling is really powerful to allow us to dive into our money blueprint. Your money blueprint is made up of your beliefs about money, and these beliefs are instilled in us aged 1-7, as this is when we're absorbing everything our parents say, including about money. The way we interact with money is dictated by our beliefs, which most of the time aren't even ours. So it's up to us to create our own beliefs that are true to us about money.Jenna had the belief that "I have to work hard to earn money", and I had the same belief, because our parents and ancestors have all had to work hard to make a living. But there's so much power in saying "the cycle will end with me" or "I return this belief that's not mine back to origin, with consciousness and love", which will stop that belief from being passed down to future generations.Jenna also recommends to re-write your reality through writing affirmations as if they've already come into fruition (in the past tense). This will reinforce those new beliefs in your subconscious mind, raise your vibration, and over time, you will feel and believe that your new beliefs are your truth. Your subconscious mind accepts what you tell it, so the more you reinforce our new belief, the more it becomes your new truth. As women, we struggle to put ourselves first and ask for the money we want. Women also typically get more emotional about money than men, as our feminine energy and emotions comes into play.Anytime you have a block about money, such as struggling to ask for money or having guilt about spending, ask your subconscious mind (through journaling) where this block is coming from. Did it come from a parent? Or from society more generally? When it comes to pricing, Jenna recommends to not compare your pricing to your competitor's, as it'll take you away from your intuition. If you have any resentment towards your pricing, and you feel like it's not a fair energy exchange, that's your intuition telling you that it's time to increase your prices. If you're wanting to increase your prices, give yourself the space to listen to your intuition and listen to that whisper telling you how much you should charge. Visualising the impact you'll add to your client's lives (for years to come) will help you to realise the value that you're adding, encourage you to charge more, and you'll feel confident charging more! Just say the price, and detach the emotion. It's not our job to assume how much money people have to spend or whether they're ready to invest or not. If somebody wants to invest in you, they will make it happen. So remember to stand your ground and be really anchored in your power and value. It doesn't matter how much experience you have in your profession; you have a life's worth of valuable experience, and you are your own testimonial! With sales, instead of coming from a place of fear or scarcity, remind yourself that you won't be for everyone and you don't need to "convince" people. Believe that your clients are intuitively attracted to you, it may take them a while to reach out but they'll get in contact when they're ready. If you're not sure whether to invest in a coach, look for a sign from the universe. Jenna asked to see an orange bird and saw a graffiti'd orange bird on a skatepark where she lives in Sydney, and so invested in the coach.Remember that the scariest part is before you do the thing but once you've actually done i

I'm super excited to announce that I've gone international with the podcast for the very first time!Marjolein is a Money Coach from The Netherlands and is the founder of Intentional Millennial. Marjolein helps time-poor Gen Y and Gen Z women to create SIMPLE financial freedom strategies. She also helps them to get ahead financially without sacrificing what they love! In the episode, we spoke about how to change your mindset around money, how to take control of your finances and how to live a fulfilled life whilst saving. The common question Marjolein gets asked is how to manage your money, especially from people who earn a good income but have no idea where their money is going. So many of us are living from paycheque to paycheque. Being intentional with our money would mean we have more money at the end of our month; as opposed to more month at the end of our money! Money gives us choices, and it's up to us to decide how to spend it. Is what you're spending money on in line with what you want in life? Remember that money is a tool; not a goal. It's not a bad thing to spend money, but it's about prioritising what you spend your money on. It'll be far less painless to eliminate spending money on things you don't really want, rather than going cold turkey and not spending money on yourself at all. Give yourself the best chance of progress to prevent relapsing!Ask yourself, what is it you really care about? What could you sacrifice without missing it too much?Anything you buy, invest or spend money on, make sure you enjoy it to its fullest! Otherwise what's the point?! If you have guilt and remorse, lean into this and ask yourself, "why am I feeling this way?".You don't need to buy things to fit in with the status quo. Instead, spend money on things that YOU enjoy! Not everyone gets the same value from the same purchase anyway.Become aware of the motive behind your purchasing, is it for external validation? Is it to fill a void? Could that void be filled by doing something that doesn't cost money? You don't need to become obsessed with your financial situation, Marjolein recommends to set it and forget it. Once a year, she sets a yearly budget and splits her money into different bank accounts, which ensures that she stays on track. If your grocery bill has gone through the roof during this time, like it has for Marjolein and I, stick to a list of your regular food items. Also, don't get tempted by discounted items as if you bought something you didn't need, you didn't actually save any money, you spent money! If you're getting inundated with emails from clothing, food or homeware companies, or even coaches and gurus offering their amazing programs, unsubscribe so you don't get tempted! When setting financial goals, think about why you want a certain amount of money. The motive behind it is probably the lifestyle it'll provide rather than the actual money, because money is just paper. So ask yourself, could I tap into that lifestyle today? If it's freedom that you want, I'm pretty sure you could tap into this today, even in a really small way.Surround yourself with people who have a similar budget, not income!Podcast recommendations –Journey To LaunchPositivity and ProsperityBook recommendation –Your Money Or Your LifeMindful MoneyStart Now, Get Perfect Later

My beautiful client Elin started her 18 year journey in self-employment back in 2002 when she was made redundant and actually pregnant with her 1st child! She felt extremely creative whilst pregnant and started doing graphic designs on t-shirts. People then started complimenting the t-shirt designs, which was her first business: "Funky Mama".She then went through a divorce part way through this business, and as a result has built up resilience and tenacity to overcome anything that life throws at her. Elin says that whenever you get rejected, remind yourself that there are better things to come. She also says that if you're going to become an entrepreneur, you've got to do something you're passionate about, which is why she founded Norsk Nordic Walking through her love for health and fitness.Elin then later moved to Spain because she wanted to live in a sunny location. This is why entrepreneurship is so incredible, as it gives you the opportunity to work from anywhere in the world! Before moving to Spain, Elin cut down all her expenses, such as subscriptions and didn't buy herself any non-essentials, as she was so committed to achieving her dream of moving to Spain. She also wanted to have the reassurance that she could support herself when she arrived in Spain. It all started with a vision board and a 90 day plan, and then she was in Spain! Elin recommends sticking to a 90 day plan for anything in life, as with discipline and commitment, you can achieve anything you want!Elin suggests that you have to have true clarity on what you want in order to create a vision board. DREAM BIG! Imagine if money was no object and you could have whatever you wanted, what would you put on there? Where do you want to travel to? Where do you want to live? What sort of person do you want to be?Put your A2 vision board where you can see it every day, and look at it every morning or evening, and notice what is coming into fruition. You shouldn't put a time limit on your vision board as you manifest what you want when you detach from the outcome, and release all expectations. Trust in the universe that it will deliver you what you want, you can even say: "I release this to the universe and trust that it will deliver it to me in divine timing". Sometimes the universe brings to you what you want in weird and mysterious ways, and also when you least expect it!Sometimes the universe even brings you what you didn't think you wanted or needed, but what it delivered you was actually perfect for you at that time. The way the universe works is that when you become so attached to the outcome and expectations, it just gives up and leaves it to you to sort out. That's why detachment is so important. Also, the clearer you are on what you want, the more likely the universe is to deliver you what you want. You also have to be aware of your thoughts because when you say you "don't want" something, the subconscious mind doesn't hear "don't", it just hears "want". So by saying you "don't want" something, you're actually inviting what you don't want into your life.In terms of money mindset, Elin recommends to charge you're actually worth; rather what you think you're worth, which takes a lot of awareness. You can really do anything you set your mind to, become the person you want to be, and live the life of your dreams! As entrepreneurs, we can literally create our own reality and also create our own career if it doesn't exist already!Have a strong belief in yourself and never let anyone stop you for pursuing your dreams. You are good enough as you are and you deserve to live a fulfilling life.If you've got 2 choices in life, pick the harder one as that will be what you need.Elin's first book will be coming out this year: "I'm not here to be average. In this episode, we spoke all about figuring out your vision, how to be more mindful and kinder to yourself, and how to live life on YOUR terms.Christina has been on a 10 year journey of self-discovery to find out what her vision is, and says you shouldn't worry if you haven't got it all figured out. Forgive yourself for not having your vision figured out yet, and give yourself some space to connect with your higher self. Also, notice the things that really light you up and spark joy, and journal these down. It's also incredibly important to be mindful of your "inner critic" and inner dialogue. How are you speaking to yourself? Is this how you'd talk to your best friend or loved one? Once you're aware of these thoughts, use Emotional Freedom Technique to release these thoughts, and speak to somebody about how you're feeling.Don't be afraid or ashamed of your journey and your emotions. Whenever it's your time to shine and roar, take it, because it's your time. Never be somebody you're not, always be yourself! Only change for yourself; don't change for anybody else. If you're not happy, it's probably because you're not being your most authentic self, at work, in your relationships, with your family and friends etc.Our thoughts are justified by our beliefs, and a lot of our beliefs are only there to keep us safe, which means they're stopping us from thriving. Most of our beliefs aren't even ours, they could be our parents, or evolutionary, so pay attention to your thoughts, because they will be dictated by your beliefs. We are vibrational beings and whatever we feed ourselves, we vibrate and circulate around our body.Christina says the reason why women don't typically make the income they want to make is because we don't want to offend people. Women have been socialised to not go out and get what they want, and often get called aggressive if they do. Women want to be liked and validated, and having conversations around money is uncomfortable for women, as we've been trained to not talk about it. But, we MUST start talking about money and income to change this!We are breaking the cycle of evolution by talking about money and putting ourselves out there. It's against our very nature to put ourselves at risk through doing things that scare us, such as going live on social media, or talking about how much we charge. But we MUST get comfortable with the uncomfortable in order to thrive.Instead of thinking what's the worst that could happen; think what's the best that could happen. Ask yourself, what am I giving attention to? When you say “I don't want to be poor”, your subconscious mind doesn't hear “don't”, all it hears is “I want to be poor”. So pay attention to what you're saying, because you could be inviting more of what you DON'T want into your life.Book recommendations:The Power of NowPodcast recommendations:Positivity and prosperity podcastThe Teatulia PodcastTim Cooper AcademyJake Woodard - The Awake With Jake ShowBrendon Burchard - The Brendon ShowOprah - Super Soul ConversationsLee Harris - Impact the World with Lee HarrisDr. Adi Jaffe - IGNTDDavid Axelrod - The Axe Files with David Axelrod

If people don't know you exist then they can't buy from you!You have to balance the getting the systems right and getting clients, because if you don't have clients, then you don't have a business. Journaling or scripting is super powerful because it brings up beliefs you didn't even know you had. Once you've got the awareness, you can begin to take action. Whatever limiting beliefs come up, Renae uses emotional freedom technique to tap them away, and then self-hypnosis, both of which you can do on your own from YouTube. Your mind is very delicate so ensure that you listen to a hypnosis video from somebody you have a rapport with, as this will dictate if you take action from what they're saying. For strategy, try and automate your money as much as you can, such as saving or investing on a direct debit basis. Esther is a Law of Attraction leader, spiritual mentor, success coach, and emotional freedom technique healer. Make sure to check out her YouTube channel. For anybody that doesn't know what the Law of Attraction is, it's all about like attracting like. The energy you put out is the energy you get back. It's kind of like karma. For any of you struggling to manifest, it's probably because you're feeling the lack of what it is that you want showing up in your life. The more that we focus on the lack of it, the more we push it further away because you're focusing on the fact that you don't have it. The more you focus on it not being there and use push energy, the more it gets further away from you.The Law of Attraction isn't about pretending that everything is positive; it's about acknowledging the negative and limiting beliefs in order to release them. Emotional freedom technique is a great technique for releasing subconscious resistance, and when we release resistance, we put ourselves in a position to receive what we want. When we constantly focus on the negative; we communicate to the universe that this is what we want as this is what we're focussing on. So if you have negative thoughts, then you will be manifesting negative experiences.People forget that the power is within them; they get frustrated when it's not working for them, which is counter-productive as they fall into a downwards spiral. They end up self-sabotaging what they want to create. Manifesting what you want is all about feeling good now and being in a state of gratitude. You can't manifest things of abundance from a place of lack, it's a total contradiction. With affirmations, use ‘bridge statements', such as “I'm ready to…” instead of “I am”. Here you're telling the universe that you're ready to move into higher energy and you're setting an intention. Also, record yourself saying the affirmations and listen to them through headphones on a really low volume when you first wake up and just before you go to sleep. As at a low volume, you will be able to interrupt the subconscious mind and reframe those negative and limiting beliefs.Be really mindful of what you're giving your attention to and what you're believing. Becoming aware of your negative and limiting money beliefs means you're half way to finding abundance and prosperity. But don't fall victim to these beliefs, because feeling like a victim will hold you back from manifesting what you truly want.We need to be mindful when we're manifesting that the universe may not deliver what we asked for in the way or time we asked for it. For instance, if you manifest £10k but end up receiving it in portions of £500 over time, you still got £10k but over a period of time, and we have to be grateful for these small wins. We also have to manifest from a place of gratitude, when you're grateful for something, you're going to attract more of that or more of things of a similar energy because you're in that positive and abundant state. The Law of Attraction is all about living a positive lifestyle and being the best you can be, even in the worst situations, because what goes down, must come back up. We all deserve to feel happy every day, we weren't put on this earth to have a rubbish experience, that's not the purpose of life. We have come to find joy and abundance in everything we experience. The Law of Attraction isn't something to believe in, it's like the Law of Gravity, it's around us, we just can't see it. Whether you want to believe it or not, your beliefs create your thoughts, your thoughts create your behaviours, and your behaviours create your reality. So whatever good or bad things that have happened to you up until this point, you manifested that.

You are literally going to love this episode that I recorded with Girls Guide! It is incredible!!!We talked all about coping in self-isolation, developing an entrepreneurial mindset, shifting from fear and scarcity to growth, and harnessing personal power.Girls Guide has been really trying to step up the amount of content they're producing and treating this time as an opportunity to to tap into things they've been avoiding, whether it's bad habits such as negative self-talk, or your health and fitness. This is a chance for us to start taking better care of ourselves, and also to start thinking outside of the box. You can use this time to develop a strong relationship with your clients by showing up for them and by offering a solution to the problems they're dealing with. This will take your clients through the like, know and trust journey, and encourage them to buy from you. Trust is the most important thing in a business relationship. Don't push for clients; let them come to you naturally.Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook and Instagram, is trying to get the platforms back to what they were created for originally: for people to connect with each other and to build communities. You have to play the game, you can't go against the game because the algorithm will trip you up. The more you connect with others, the more likely the algorithm is to show your post. Don't be afraid of failure because it's an inevitable part of the process. Sarah Blakely, one of the first female billionaires, the CEO and founder of Spanx, grew up with a dad who celebrated failure. Every time her and her little brother came home from school, he would ask them what they failed at that day. if they didn't have anything to say, he would say: “If you didn't fail; it's because you didn't try hard enough.”There's always a space between the stimulus and response. You can't change a situation; you can only change your response to that situation. Failure is just a learning curve. Successful people aren't standing on a mountain of success; they're standing on a mountain of failure, and the difference between a winner and a loser is that the winner tries once more. Resilience is the most important characteristic and trait you can develop as an entrepreneur. Resilience is like a muscle that you have to work on. Your happiness in life will be dictated by your ability to handle tension.Make sure to stand your ground when your client challenges your pricing, especially when it gets uncomfortable. You wouldn't settle for a rubbish date; so don't settle for a rubbish client. If you charge below average, your clients might think that your services are below average. When you're being mean to yourself or your inner critic is speaking out, remind yourself that you'd never speak to your friend like that, or even a stranger. In fact, name your inner critic so that you can disassociate, and say “Thanks (insert name), but I don't need you right now”.

Agnese helps female entrepreneurs have thriving online businesses without 24/7 time investment. We live in a hustle mentality where people are expected to work really hard to be successful and have lots of money. This is what Agnese is trying to avoid in her business, and help her clients to actually do less and NOT hustle.Everyone is busy, busy, busy. So Agnese teaches her clients how to manage their business properly, and to “declutter” from all the distractions so that they can have real focus.Task jumping is something that we do to “get things done”, but we actually waste up to 23 minutes when we jump from task to task, as our brain needs the time to re-focus. I got this fact from Rob Moore's “Start Now, Get Perfect Later”, which is the perfect book for you procrastinators and perfectionists out there!Focus is crucial to productivity, and therefore business success. In simple terms, when you do four things, your focus is split into 4, and therefore you can only focus at 25% on each task.Agnese agrees that there's a total misconception around multitasking, where we're often praised for multi-tasking, as if it's something to be impressed by: “you're amazing because you can type an e mail and answer the phone while talking with a client”. Multi-tasking has often been glorified; much like business, and as something to be worn like a medal. This is why so many businesses struggle with burn out and overwhelm as they think they have to be everywhere for everyone. Most of us create a business and leave a 9-5 to have freedom and go for mid-week lunches and coffees; but then we end up working double the hours we worked in our 9-5.  We think that multi-tasking equals productivity; but it's actually counter-productive. So bare that in mind next time you jump from writing social-media posts, to doing admin, to doing your accounts, in the same half an hour slot.On this note, task batching is another extremely effective way to get more done in a shorter period of time. As opposed to jumping from task to task; sticking to one task for as long as 50 minutes, which is what the Pomodoro technique recommends, increases productivity due to being laser-focussed when doing the task.Starting a business is of course extremely scary, and because of this, we typically operate from a scarcity mindset. We throw everything at our businesses as we want it to work SO badly. We try to be everything for everyone, and as a result are reluctant to find a niche because we want to help everyone, which sounds great but is physically impossible. We also think that in order to make a big impact; we have to invest a lot of time on social-media and stressing ourselves out. That's why having clients on automation is so powerful and stress-reducing, because you can earn a passive income from an online course that you created once, but that keeps generating you money as people sign up. Time is our greatest asset and something we can never get back, so if we can utilise our time better and earn a passive income, it's a win win! Entrepreneurs think they have to compromise on time in order to be successful, but it's better to compromise with money, such as investing in a coach, as money is something you can get back.Agnese says that if you're overwhelmed in your business, then you're doing something wrong, and you need to find what that is. You create a business to design your own life, to work on your terms and to have freedom, so why do we allow ourselves to fall into the trap of burn-out and overwhelm?!Entrepreneurs can also have a fear of routine because they want to get away from their 9-5 routine so desper

Charelle Griffith is a digital marketing consultant who helps solo service-based business owners, who are typically DIYing their marketing, to build successful businesses. She is also an award-winning blogger and founder of the PropelHer‘s Book Club.Charelle focusses on content marketing; rather than paid advertising, and encourages business owners to show up online as the experts they are.Charelle says that consistency is king when it comes to social media; and this doesn't mean showing up every day; it means showing up when your clients expect you to. It's not about posting every day for a couple of weeks, and then disappearing. You need to keep the momentum going. So if you can't sustain posting every day long-term; then it's best not to start. Picking the right platform is also key; rather than trying to be anywhere. When you're a service provider, it's important to pick a platform that allows you to shine, as people buy from people, and therefore people buy from YOU.Also don't get too caught up on engagement, as getting comments and likes might not necessarily mean that people buy from you, especially if they're not your ideal client.Charelle recommends to create content that brings new people to your business, as well as serving your existing audience/clients. Once you've got people to become aware of you, it's about taking them on the journey to eventually buy from you.Charelle also recommends creating video content, if you're comfortable doing so, as it shortens the like, know, trust factor, and encourages prospective clients to buy from you A LOT quicker. All you can do on social media is show up as YOU. People will not only be buying what you offer; but they'll be buying from you as a person. They might be inspired to buy from you due to your values, your lifestyle or your business approach. They'll buy from you as they see and feel a connection or alignment. Therefore, it's important to share your values and passions through your content, and show some personality! For instance, Charelle attracted female business owners who were single into her business as she was a single woman, and spoke about this on her podcast. That's no coincidence.Put out content that people can relate too, which means being your imperfect self, by the way. Right now, people are going to be relating to other people more than brands, so use this time to share content that's honest, raw and authentic.Of course it's important to be sensitive to what's going on; but if you believe in what you offer, and it's not taking advantage of people's fears; then people might need your product/service more now than ever.People claiming it's unethical to sell is a definite reflection of their money mindset and limiting beliefs around money. As they're plenty of wealthy people around still buying! This pandemic has also highlighted that you can't rely on one stream of income, and that's why Charelle does so many things. If you can move your business online then you definitely should, in order to ensure that your business is diversified.Charelle recommends to keep showing up, especially at this time. Whether that be on social media, on your newsletter, or on your podcast. Being somebody to rely on for your audience/clients at this time empowers you to be their element of consistency, in a world that's ever-changing.It's also well worth using this time to reflect, especially as we're usually so busy and always looking forward. So use this time to review your marketing strategy and your overall business strategy and structure, to see what's working and what isn't. For instance, if you don't really know your business numbers, use this time to understand them better!

WOW! What an episode! In case you didn't know, Mums in Business Association (MIBA) is the fastest growing business network for mums in the world. Formed in 2017, the network has grown to an astonishing 55,000 Facebook group members worldwide and they are continuing to grow at a fast pace. They also run child-friendly networking events in over 250 countries around the world. They've also written several best-selling books, and the first book went from idea to print in just 5 weeks! They'd never written a book before so Estelle simply Google'd "how to write a book", so the advice there is... If you're don't know how to do something - simply Google it! AND, not forgetting, that they've been featured in the like of Forbes!Co-founder Estelle Keeber has always been hugely inspiring to me as a female entrepreneur who has absolutely KILLED it in her space, and the adversity she overcame when starting out makes her all the more inspiring. So I just know that you're going to love this episode! Before starting MIBA with her sister and co-founder, Leona Burton, who was in network marketing at the time, Estelle was living on the breadline. She left the father of her 2 sons after 10 years together and had to fend for herself and her boys. She was surviving off child benefit and used food banks to feed her family. This motivated Estelle to take her life into her own hands and create some financial stability for herself and her sons.Estelle has suffered with her mental health since her teens and joined a photography evening course as part of her therapy. With this, Estelle started her wedding photography business, and this is where she spent a lot of time learning how to run and grow a business. She had only been running the wedding photography business for 2 years when she started MIBA!During this time, Estelle was speaking to her sister about how difficult it was to be a mum and run a business, and how self-isolating it can be. Estelle and Leona didn't even intend for MIBA to become a business; they merely set up the Facebook group to bring mums together.Estelle is also known as a "social-media queen" and is always offering free social media advice in the Facebook group as well as when you sign up to become a MIBA VIP.Estelle shares some really interesting advice in the episode about how she listens and reacts to the content the MIBA community want, through creating polls and quizzes on her personal Instagram and the MIBA Instagram.Estelle also talks about how to deal with criticism, which can be part and parcel of becoming visible, and getting featured in national and international publications. If you're a mum currently struggling to balance motherhood and business at this unprecedented and uncertain time, Estelle recommends to incorporate elements of structure into your days and weeks, where you can. But not be too hard on yourself when the structure falls apart, and also not to set your expectations too high, as children can be extremely unpredictable! Download the MIBA survival kit here! You can also access up to 50 MIBA mini trainings here. You can also check out the MIBA best-selling books here:Their Mumpreneur on Fire series is a collection of incredible real life stories from inspiring women all around the World. Episode 7: 3 biggest fears you should shift right now

I get it - life as we know it changed overnight. And none of us has any previous experience with a pandemic. And that can be scary. That can freeze actions, businesses and have a huge impact on our lives. So how do we do our part to mitigate that - for ourselves, our businesses, and the communities we are part of?Side note: the online coaching/mentoring industry is one of the few economic areas right now that can actually make money and help this money energy continue to circulate. The responsibility we have right now as mentors, leaders, influencers is bigger than our business. It is a responsibility towards our communities and the world at large. So how do we BEST deal with our fears so we can help ourselves and others? The first step: understand what is under the fear.Feel emotionally and brain paralysed these days, while hitting the refresh button of the news websites consuming the general panic on repeat?Ask yourself:What is beneath the surface? What am I afraid of right now? Most fears go under one of the following 3 categories:1. You are afraid of loss - loss of health, even life, income, business, lifestyle...Check inside and write down what you are afraid of losing. And then look at each item on your list and ask yourself:- Is this a certainty?- What is a more positive story I can tell myself right now? Here's the truth, Elizabeth:You've already dealt with hardship and loss before. And you've made it through, you've always managed your way on the other side.Right now, you can either freeze and shrink down, or engage with the challenge, follow inspired actionand start moving forward.2. You are dreading the difficulties coming upWhile I don't believe that struggle is usually required I also know that once we are presented with an inevitable challenge we better honour it, engage with it and give it our best. You can't anticipate what's going to happen exactly. But there is something you have FULL control over: Your emotions, your strength, and your commitment to moving forward. So how do you choose to show up every day?Decide, step into that energy. And make a daily practice out of choosing and aligning with that vibration every single day.3. You fear what's on the other side - once this is over. Here's a truth about the human mind:We tend to catastrophise everything, anticipating the worst right up to death and complete ruin. This habit has helped us survive as a species. But most of times it causes unnecessary suffering. And binging in that energy can hurt not only your health, but also your business and life in general. So choose to visualise what you DECIDE that the other side feels like for you.Who are you being there? What are you doing? And what does your business/ life looks like?Align with that energy, decide and re-decide it until you believe in your vision more than in your fears. One last thought:The times of uncertainty and general confusion are EXACTLY when the leaders rise above the noise ride it out and show the way.Who do you choose to be?P.S. when you're ready, book in a FREE 1:1 coaching session with me to see if I can help you with any problems you're facing right now.https://calendly.com/themoneycleanse/1hourfindyourpurposediscoverycall

Episode 6: Starting a business aged 19 and empowering women around the world, with Smart Girl Tribe founder Scarlett Clark

Scarlett Clark founded Smart Girl Tribe whilst at university at the tender age of 19!She started SGT because she found that all the media were focussing on was sex, weight and boyfriends, and that wasn't what her and her friends were talking about.Since then, she's built a digital magazine that is the UK's #1 female empowerment organisation, spoken at events around the world, and has become an NSPCC ambassador. As you can imagine, Scarlett faced a lot of criticism when she started her business. People telling her that she was too young, and her university friends not fully understanding why she'd rather set up a business than party all the time. But despite the criticism, Scarlett transformed her adversity to prosperity, and has built the most incredible platform to inspire and empower women around the world. If you're letting your fear and limiting beliefs get the better of you and you're allowing them to hold you back from pursuing your dreams, then this episode is for YOU!Even if you don't deem yourself entrepreneurial; if you have that tenacity and you persevere, anything can happen.Women tend to seek permission or validation, and as long as you continue to seek either of those two things, you'll always be putting an obstacle in your way. What is riskier? Pursuing the dream or not pursuing it at all?Failure is just lessons learned. If you put yourself out there and it doesn't work out; at least you know that you tried. And you never know until you try, so feel the fear and do it anyway.Never forget that successful people are standing on a mountain top of failures, rejection and setbacks, and the difference between a winner and a loser is that a winner shows up one more time.Scarlett is so unapologetically ambitious because she had 100 reasons not to set up SGT but she just went ahead and did it anyway! In fact, she was in Italy the day she launched it, and her phone and Internet connection went down, but she still didn't give up!Scarlett started off her business aged 19 completely broke - in fact she only earned 25p in the first 2.5 years of SGT! She believes that women should have more access to money because as evolution has gone on, women typically haven't experienced money as much as men.In order to improve our money mindset, Scarlett says that we have to arm ourselves with knowledge. She personally has her bank manager on speed dial, and has always gone to her bank for financial advice to understand where and how her money is being spent. As well as, through reading books and listening to podcasts about money.Women are often very conflicted with money because stereotypically we're nurturing, but this means that women are better armed for the direction that business is going in. People no longer want the hard sell; they want to build up a relationship before buying or investing, and it is women, rather than men, who can build these relationships. Also regarding the current situation, Scarlett gives some very sound advice that you don't HAVE to be productive right now, and that if you're hoping to start a business during self-isolation - it's not a race.Scarlett recommends Love Is Not Enough by Merryn Somerset Webb and You Are A Badass At Making Money by Jen Sincero.

Ellie founded This Girl Talks Money in 2019 because she saw that there was a gap for conversation and resources in the money and financial space. She's on a mission to upgrade millennial and Gen Z money mindset and management, so she's basically my ideal guest!!You're going to absolutely love this interview because we talk all things MONEY! Financial advice is something that is very much needed right now in this unknown and uncertain climate, so I really do hope you find it useful.Ellie set up the platform to help women develop a better money mindset, overcome the barriers that they had over thinking about money in a negative way, and manage their money better on a daily basis. She also helps her clients to save, reduce their expenses, and increase their income, without having to make drastic life changes! The sustainable changes Ellie helps you to make are small shifts that create big differences in your bank balance. If you often don't know where your money goes, Ellie would highly suggest opening a Monzo account. Also to sit down and set aside a half hour, and get your past few months' bank statement and colour code what you're spending money on. Such as bills, subscriptions, food, coffee, clothes shopping, "spending money" etc, and then create a pie chart to see how much of it is going into each pot.Ellie's favourite book (which is only £2 on Amazon by the way!): Open Up by Alex HolderHere's some tips from Ellie to help you save money whilst you're in self-isolation, but remember it's important to treat yourself once in a while too (as I say, you can't pour from an empty cup)!:⁣✖️Swap Deliveroo for Ready to Eat:Try swapping Deliveroo for a cook-at-home meal (I'm a big fan of COOK) which tastes delicious, take minimal effort (switch the oven on) and cost at least half the price of a takeaway.⁣⁣✖️Swap online shopping for online conversation⁣:More time at our computers = more time for our minds to drift off into the land of consumerism. The good news is that we're unlikely to be socialising soon, browsing new clothes isn't likely to be the most exciting online activity. Spend time connecting with others, even if it's virtually rather than IRL.⁣⁣✖️Swap exercise memberships for free workouts⁣:The online exercise industry means you can pay for a PT in your pocket. The cost isn't too high, however often you're locked into a contract and the chances of you forgetting to cancel? Pretty high. Resist the temptation and check out the world of fitness influencers such as @aliceliveing and @zannavandijk.For those of you where cash flow is slow, here are ways you can reduce your expenses:⁣✖️Ask to pause memberships⁣:Lots of membership businesses are taking note of the fact we're in uncharted territory and they are in a better position to take a financial hit than their members. If you're part of any, contact them to see if they are offering payment pauses or if it's something they're considering - @the.wing are one example helping members⁣✖️Don't panic buy⁣:It can be tempting in the madness of toilet roll hoarding which is currently going to join in. Unless you're down to the final roll, don't panic and spend more than you need buying premium brand loo roll. Hold your nerve - supermarkets are restocking daily.⁣⁣✖️Ask for help⁣:If you're concerned about tax payments which are due, HMRC have set up a special helpline to discuss alternative arrangements for paying your tax bill - head to the gov.uk website for more information

Episode 4: How to feel positive and how to deal with fear and anxiety

Play Episode Play 60 sec Highlight Listen Later Mar 28, 2020 9:26

It's ok to feel anxious, worried, panicked and afraid. Don't push these emotions away and don't feel guilty of feeling these emotions. It's important for those emotions to be felt and to acknowledge them. But, there's a difference between feeling and acknowledging emotions, and sitting in them.If you're feeling any of these emotions, acknowledge them, but then set them free. Even if that means writing these emotions down on paper and cutting them up.When I talk about positivity, I don't mean pretending that everything is okay, that is not what being positive or happy is about. Being positive or happy is a feeling that comes from deep within.I've always regarded myself as a happy and positive person, so I've naturally always pushed away negative emotions and feelings. So when these negative emotions presented themselves, it always hit me like a train because I'd been trying to avoid them for so long. Sound familiar?I actually had a breakdown just the other week, because I'd pushed away negative emotions for so long and swept them under the carpet.Pretending that everything is okay doesn't give you the opportunity to heal, and positivity has to be authentic. What I do every morning as well as my meditation is to practise affirmations, and I find that Bob Proctor's affirmations on YouTube are AMAZING!So think of 3 things you're grateful for each morning, each evening, and also throughout the day, and constantly remind yourself of what you HAVE, as opposed to what you DON'T HAVE. This is where the growth vs. lack mindset comes in. It's important to create your own affirmations too that really resonate with you, and practise these throughout the day in order to lean into them.Negative emotions are you arguing with what is. There really isn't anything we can do to change the situation with coronavirus, it is what it is, as they say on Love Island! So the question I pose to you is, are you going to resist it? Or are you going to appreciate and acknowledge the opportunity posed to us?Arguing with what is, is stopping you from having inner peace and happiness.Being as we can only go outside for 1 bit of exercise each day? Why not go inside? By that I mean inside our hearts, to lean into how we're REALLY ACTUALLY feeling. This is where journalling is super useful because it allows us to get those feelings and emotions on paper, and with awareness comes clarity and breakthrough. Our brains and our minds can become quite overwhelmed with all these emotions. So when we put them on paper, it's such a liberating and cathartic experience. I honestly couldn't recommend journalling enough!Coronavirus has MASSIVELY given us the opportunity to make a change, choose again, and reset. So, are you going to let coronavirus control YOUR situation, or are YOU going to control YOUR situation? We all have control over our own lives, we can always control our reactions and emotions. So don't waste your time watching the news and stop doing things that are going to make you feel worse about yourself and your situation.Self-care should also never be underestimated, and it's honestly the best way to go to feel better in yourself. So whatever that feels like for you, a bath, a face mask, spending time with your family, watching something on Netflix, eating some chocolate, drinking a cup of tea, do not feel guilty for doing it because then it's counterproductive. As with the oxygen mask procedure, you're instructed to put on yours before putting on anyone else's. You can't pour from an empty cup, so you have to make sure that you factor self-care into your routine. You can book a free money mindset or social media consultation with me HERE: https://calendly.com/themoneycleanse/30minmoneyminds
