Movie 'Still Breathing' Commentary by David Hoffmeister - Weekly Online Movie WorkshopUnworthiness and the belief in a cold, heartless, and random world are one and the same. Faith in miracles, the spark of joy, visions, intuitions, and loving tenderness are all expressions of divine healing. The movie 'Still Breathing' is a love story about a man who believed in finding true love and a woman who came to believe. Dreams of childhood innocence reflect the divine innocence within, and miracles bring this innocence back into awareness. Beneath the hard, cold persona lies the heart of an angel, waiting to be discovered. Ask and you shall be given, knock and the door shall be opened. There is a destiny that makes us One. None goes their way alone. All that we send into the lives of others comes back into our own. We are the same One, and this is realized in a moment of forgiveness. All differences are gone at last. You are worthy of Love, My Beloved, so very worthy.Enjoy David's sparkly and joyful commentary for this gem of a relationship movie. You can watch Davids introduction to the movie on YouTube: https://youtu.be/mRZphyXZR4gIf you are interested to know more about David Hoffmeister and Living Miracles events, here is more information: https://circle.livingmiraclescenter.org/events.Recorded on June 26, 2021, in Chapala, Mexico.

There is a place where we can go that gives peace and clarity to all things. However, we must make a conscious choice to discern the voices and noise that we entertain. Without the 'Still' is it possible to connect with God? Is it possible to hear what you need to hear from Him to know the right choices to make? --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/unchained/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/unchained/support
The 89-year-old icon collaborates with artists like Margo Price and Tanya Tucker on her 50th studio album.
Everyone has “Skeleton's in their Closet”, but Tara didn't know about the Skeleton living in her families closet until years after her parents were already battling it. Tara's shares her personal experiences dealing with the trauma and pain caused by her fathers battle with addiction. Tara's Dad was introduced to pornography as a young boy, to no fault of his own. Years of trauma and unprocessed feelings lingered in him and led to very real and strong cravings throughout his life. Spending money on prostitutes, going to strip clubs, and viewing pornography regularly were habits that gripped his life to the point sometimes that Tara's mother didn't know if she was going to be able to feed the family because of his spending habits. When Tara's mother first learned of her husband's addiction she did what she felt was best for her marriage and her family. She fought for it and almost willed her husband to change. Soon after Tara's mission when she was newly wed, Tara's Father was arrested for soliciting a prostitute, excommunicated from the Church he belonged too, and in jeopardy of potentially even losing his job. At this crucial point He made a courageous decision, he chose to face each member of his family, and with complete humility and vulnerability he told them all the full truth. Honesty finally came into play and as a result Shame could be processed and worked through. Although this was not the first offense for her Father, her Mother's response was very different and set the stage for recovery. The day after learning what he had done, she walked outside raised her hands up to God and “gave” her husband to Him. She told God that she was done trying to push him to change and put all of her trust and faith in God to take watch over and care for her Husband and Family. She needed to see that her husband was willing to change for good without any pressure from her other than knowing if he didn't she would walk away. Her willingness to take the huge leap of faith and finally let go and allowed her husband the opportunity to see that his wife was serious about leaving. The consequences and pain of his decisions began to settle in and Tara's Father found himself in a very sacred space, filled with Godly sorrow. Godly sorrow is recognizing that not only have you betrayed, hurt, and damaged the people who love you most that you claim to love, it goes even deeper… It is the realization one comes to when they realize their choices bearing the fruits of impurity in our mind, body and soul, encompassed in sincere gratitude and sorrow to the very creator of it. When we find ourselves in this space we truly recognize and grab hold of His ever present Love, Mercy and Grace. God loves us in our imperfections and our value to Him is beyond our understanding, that is why His plan included the sacrifice of His beloved and perfect Son Jesus Christ. Jesus came to heal broken things, and if we never accept our brokenness, especially in the middle of our critical mistakes we do not give Him the chance to redeem our souls like He promised He would do. Tara's Father Surrendered… He literally laid down his pride and selfish ways. Enough was enough, he knew that it was his thinking and his choosing that had created his current circumstances and he wasn't smart enough to fix it, but Jesus Christ is, and He did. Being sorry when we are “busted” or “discovered” is easy, and change most often times will not last for long it we don't reach a place of Godly Sorrow. he was determined to turn to Jesus Christ, come forward to his wife, and religious leader, and once he did, he felt immediate relief and courage. Today he looks back on the experience and says, “In that moment I decided to give it to God, I felt Him immediately.” The Atonement of Jesus Christ is All in all the Gift that was given to Tara, her Father, her Mother and family members was given in a very "ugly package". In her own words Tara explains, “This is the ugliest Gift that has been given to her in her whole life, but “it” has blessed me in so many ways it's hard to describe. She goes on to exclaim "God gives us weakness and pain to help us distinguish the light from the dark, and without hard experience and suffering we can do nothing to help those that suffer." Now years later, Tara's parents have started a foundation, called SA Lifeline, which provides education and resources to help addicts face their addictions and give them the tools to help them work their way their addiction. Tara's Mom also wrote a book about her own "recovery" called, “What can I do about, Me” to share her story of betrayal, and how she was able to heal from the trauma of being betrayed by someone she loved. If you would like to to read her book, you can find it at their foundations website @ www.salifeline.org or an of the following Deseret Book, Amazon, or Kindle. Tara said of her parents miraculous recovery, “In their brokenness they have been able to shine light to those who suffer and who are in the dark.” What a powerful witness of the reality of Jesus Christ, His divine mission, and the very purpose He came to this earth. He came, so that we experience and the beauty of an imperfect life, full of struggle, failure, pain, grief, and sorrow so that we can truly learn and know the Peace, Joy, Hope, Love, and Happiness that exist perfectly in the character of God. Tara, you are such an incredible person and a light for so many of us that need the hope filled message you have to share. Thank you for sharing you and your families story and fight through the overwhelming battle of addiction. Your parents are amazing, and are examples that our own struggles, mistakes, failures, and weaknesses do not need to continually beat us down, keeping us ashamed of ourselves, rather they are the very gifts given to us that can lead to the doors of opportunity for our greatest experiences, joys, victories, and discovery of personal value. Do not be afraid, only believe! To connect with Tara, you can find her on Instagram @churchofjesuschrist_sr_podcast or through the foundation her parents opened at www.salifeline.org

Today I’m joined by songwriting duo and hosts of the brilliant Sodajerker on Songwriting podcast, Simon Barber and Brian O’Connor, to talk about Paul Simon’s classic middle-aged divorcee record Still Crazy After All These Years. We talk about how the album reflects an ‘adult’ approach in subject matter and composition, how aspects of it reveal more as the listener ages, the balance between specificity in Simon’s lyrics but still leaving a place for the listener to find themselves in the song, whether drummer Steve Gadd deserves a writing credit on 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover, whether the Simon and Garfunkel reunion song My Little Town fits in the flow of the record and Simon and Brian reflect on their experience interviewing Paul Simon for their podcast.
On Thursday evening (NZ time) it remains the undecided States of America. Presidential hopeful Joe Biden appears to have cemented two more bricks in the so called blue wall, with several US media outlets calling the critical states of Michigan and Wisconsin for the Democrat. But neither Biden or Donald Trump have reached the essential 270 electoral college votes needed to win the White House. Both sides are predicting victory in Pennslyvania, as the count crawls on. Both sides are lawyering up, with talk of recounts and legal challenges. CNN's Camila Bernal joins Lisa Owen from Wilmington, Delaware, where Democrat Joe Biden has been waiting on results.
Crypto News Alerts | Daily Bitcoin (BTC) & Cryptocurrency News
With Bitcoin closing the month of October at $13,816, this signals the highest monthly close for BTC since December of 2017. October’s monthly close also signals the highest red dot close to date via the Stock-to-flow model, a clear indication that this controversial Bitcoin price prediction model is right on track ‘still’ targeting $288K by 2024. Bitcoin briefly spiked above $14,000 again, this time perhaps on news from the US Presidential elections. The altcoins have erased most of yesterday’s losses, and the market capitalization has added about $10 billion. Bitcoin broke above the coveted $14,000 mark on Saturday for the first time since January 2018. Since then, though, the asset has primarily struggled with maintaining its high price tag. In fact, BTC even dipped below $13,300 on two occasions in the following days. It started recovering yesterday when it jumped above $13,500 and stayed above it for most of the past 24 hours. Just a few hours ago, the primary cryptocurrency headed higher once more. With a few decisive candles, Bitcoin surged to $14,050 (on Bitstamp) before retracing to its current level – $13,800. Interestingly, the price increase coincided with surfacing reports that the current US President Donald Trump has become the betting favorite to win the 2020 Presidential elections. Nevertheless, popular TV host Max Keiser recently highlighted that despite who’s the US President following the elections, Bitcoin will emerge as the ultimate winner. On the Friday interview edition of the Daily Daily Caller Podcast we sift through the aftermath of the Mueller hearing and how liberals are desperately trying to spin their humiliating failure into a win. Also, the Chief of Law Enforcement Operations of Customs and Border Patrol blew up the story of the American citizen detained by ICE. And we talk with opinion editor of the Washington Times and Fox New contributor Charles Hurt about his new book, "Still Winning: Why America Went All In On Donald Trump-And Why We Must Do It Again." Liberals are coming to terms with the fact that not only did the Robert Mueller testimony not land the knock-out blow they were desperately hoping it would, but that he didn't even land a punch. So how are they trying to spin it? By telling the American public they're too stupid to understand the story. Congressman Elijah Cummings (D-MD) literally begged the American people to pay attention, and former Time magazine managing editor Richard Stengel said the media didn't talk about the story in basic enough terms for people to understand. The problem for them and the rest of the Democrats is the people have been paying attention, close attention, and we saw through their lies. The emperor has no clothes, they have no credibility left. We have all the audio and analysis. The media has been buzzing about an American citizen detained by ICE for 23 days at the border. The narrative is that President Trump is so out of control and such a racist that the government is just grabbing every Hispanic they see on the border. But Brian Hastings, Chief of Law Enforcement Operations for CBP, dropped some truth on the story. The 17-year-old at the heart of the story told Border Patrol told agents he was a citizen of Mexico, never mentioning he was an American citizen, and was caught with a group of illegal aliens. Virtually nothing about the story holds up to basic scrutiny, but none was done by the media before reporting it because it was too good to check. We have the audio. Then we sat down with Fox News contributor and Washington Times opinion editor Charlie Hurt about how he got his start in journalism, arriving in Detroit to see the city burning, and his new book "Still Winning." We discuss how Trump won, how Democrats are going off the deep end, and the how and why Trump needs to win again.

So, what comes next for the Minnesota Orchestra in the wake of the contract agreement that ended the bitter 15-month lockout and returns the musicians to Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis on Feb. 7? Short answer: a considerable amount of work. Settling the lockout is only the first mountain in a series of precarious peaks that the Minnesota Orchestra has to climb on its way to a healthy future, says Graydon Royce, classical music critic of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. “Somehow the social fabric between the management and musicians has to be repaired and that’s a big, big question here of whether that can happen,” Royce tells Naomi Lewin. “There are still people who write letters to the editor who say, 'We'll come and see the players because I like the players but I’m not donating to the orchestra anymore,’” added Royce, who has chronicled the labor dispute since it began in October 2012. Relations between players, management, donors and audiences are such that “you have an orchestra that is still mad at itself.” At the heart of the lockout was a dispute over the size of pay cuts aimed at reversing a multi-million-dollar deficit that had peaked at $6 million in 2012. After musicians refused to accept pay cuts of up to 40 percent, and the two sides failed to agree on on new contract terms, management locked the musicians out on Oct. 1, 2012. The new contract cuts base pay by 15 percent. Minnesota announced its 2014 season on Friday, one that includes 39 classical concerts, plus educational and family programming. A series of guest conductors are to take the podium including Yan Pascal Tortelier, Mark Wigglesworth and Eric Whitacre. Osmo Vänska, who resigned as music director in October, will return to conduct an all-Sibelius program in March, followed by a single performance with soloist Joshua Bell in April. Despite the new season plans, the lockout has taken an enormous toll, said Royce. Not only did the orchestra lose millions in ticket income with more than a season cancelled, but each musician lost over a year's salary. Whether Vänska will return full-time is a long shot. “There are certainly board members who feel that Vänska was not a perfect soldier – that he should not have made a public ruckus that he would quit if there was not a deal by October 1,” said Royce. "At the same time, I think that he felt really personally hurt by that, and felt he was a put in that position where he felt he had to stand up and say something.” It could take a long time to woo back alienated audiences and donors; other orchestras that have lived through debilitating strikes have found that recovery can be frustratingly slow. Yet there is a model to be found: in the Detroit Symphony. Three years after its six-month strike, it has been on a roll, performing at Carnegie Hall last season, streaming its concerts online, and balancing its budget for the first time in six years. Last week, the musicians ratified a three-year contract. "I think Detroit is actually really instructive,” said Royce. “They got out into the communities and did a lot of concerts basically intended to repair the personal capital."
Alivia Tagliaferri - Author of 'Beyond the Wall: The Journey Home', producer and director of the documentary film, Beyond the Wall: Homeless Zone. As we discussed in episode 76, war is a part of life. Always has been, always will be. In fact, in that episode, we even discussed how sometimes, war is seemingly justified - a necessary evil. But regardless of your personal stance, or the stance of anyone else, we can no longer deny the lasting effect that war has on the human psyche. Only within the past few decades have we began to understand the after effects of war and, more specifically, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). So this week, Jon and I decided to open up a painful subject, to learn more about what happens to soldiers after they return from duty. However, as you probably know, we usually go straight to the academic when discussing any topic - especially one involving the brain. But this week, we decided to go a slightly different route. We wanted to hear from someone who could explain our soldiers journey in a way that we could feel the emotion. We wanted to get a glimpse of what these brave men and women go through - so we enlisted the services of a masterful story teller, Alivia Tagliaferri. Alivia is the author of Beyond the Wall: The Journey Home (November, 2009). Formerly titled 'Still the Monkey, What Happens to Warriors after War,'. Tagliaferri's debut novel is receiving recognition from the veteran, military and mental health communities for its stirring and non-biased portrayal of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and the long-range affects this mind injury has on the psyche of self and family. She is the producer and director of Beyond the Wall: Homeless Zone, a short documentary exploring the issue of homelessness among veterans. It was co-produced by Nancy E. Mantelli, a film and video educator. The film first premiered at the Woodrow Wilson Center in November 2008, and again at the 2010 GI FILM FESTIVAL.
A civil engineer, Geoff Lacey is also well known as a pioneering environmentalist and naturalist. He is the author of a landmark work on the ecology of the Yarra: 'Still glides the Stream': the Natural History of the Yarra from Heidelberg to Yarra Bend (2004). He is an honorary Senior Fellow at the University of Melbourne. Geoff Lacey discussed how society has failed to adequately respond to the global warming crisis and proposes a prophetic model as an impetus for change. Professor Lacey explained how the prophetic model will empower humanity to solve this global catastrophe. Stephen Ames drew out some theological reflections on the implications for how we might adjust to environmental threats. Stephen is an Anglican priest, a Canon at St Paul's Cathedral and lectures in the History and Philosophy of Science programme at the University of Melbourne. He is one of the founders of Social Policy Connections, and first president of the Yarra Institute for Religion and Social Policy. Please click HERE to download a transcript of Professor Lacey’s lecturePlease click HERE to listen to listen to the lecture.
