Grandpa Bill-Talks Meditation, how it is, and can be the energy that is latently there every day, no matter WHAT HAPPENS!. So meditation is just a vehicle, a natural process of contacting it. So by doing it each day you give yourself a chance of contacting this energy and giving it to yourself a little more. Repetition-deep breathing focus heart brain coherence and connection. HOPE YOU CONTINUE TO ANSWER HIS CALL. A Prosperous life is meant for you. As you learn how to walk with God always remember His Kingdom is bigger than the world we live in. Our salvation offers adopts rights and privileges we learn to walk in every day. You are a kingdom citizen. Let your life become kingdomized so you don't just read about the Prosperous life you can have. You evolve, take the limits of off of God, and grow therefore accessing the layers of life God has already granted to you. Grandpa Bill also talks about a nutrient rich Cacao Nibs for health, especially brain fog! More too about our SOON to be new product launch and more about Oversoul and dream maifestation also. All in prep for a soon to be interview, with Guest , Michael King from Vitality Herbs and Cly were we will talk about both of these subjects Join us won't you, and please share us! Theobroma cacao, also called the cacao tree and the cocoa tree, is a small evergreen tree in the family Malvaceae. Its seeds, cocoa beans, are used to make chocolate liquor, cocoa solids, cocoa butter and chocolate. The largest producer of cocoa beans in 2018 was Ivory Coast, with 37% of the world total. Keep on this journey of life. Live life to your fullest. If you describe someone as the black sheep of their family or of a group that they are a member of, you mean that they are considered bad or worthless by other people in that family or group. How Does It Feel Being The Black Sheep Of The Family? It's not that you are necessarily disliked by your family; as the black sheep, you could be incredibly loved or yes, incredibly disliked by everyone who shares your DNA. What defines you as the "odd man out" in your tribe could be traits that endear you to your loved ones. But no matter what, embrace who you are. Being like everyone else is boring anyway. What does the Bible say about the black sheep of the family? Jephthah in Judges 10:1-3 was driven away from home by his brothers because he was considered the black sheep of the family. ... He had to keep his word, and he sacrificed his only daughter because of the vow that would cause his brothers not to think of him as a black sheep.Mental illness in a family can skip generations or even be non-apparent throughout a family, though oftentimes it is kept a secret. When there is a family member who struggles with their mental health in a family who is not compassionate or empathetic toward those struggles, that family member becomes the black sheep Here's the Thing MANY WHO JUDGE are seeing themselves in the mirror, hating EVERYTHING AND EVERYBODY don't judge folks FORGIVE AND FORGET=GOOD MEDICINE for The Mind Body & Soul bhsales.vpweb.com --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/bhsales/message

Boost your brain instead of burning it out.  On this episode of the Making Bank Podcast, Steven Kotler chats about his research and latest book, The Art of Impossible. As a best-selling author, Steven has researched into the neuroscience of peak performance, particularly flow state. He discusses the behavioral and cognitive steps to avoid burn out and anxiety. His advice on motivating yourself, reaching flow state and building grit are needed now more than ever.   Listen to Josh and Steven discuss the biology of burn out.  The Art of Impossible (3:07) Steven describes his new book, The Art of Impossible. Unlike other books on peak performance, The Art of Impossible tackles the subject using neuroscience. Compared to psychology, neurobiology is concrete, reliable and repeatable. The book combines years of research and is divided into four sections. The Science of Motivation (6:45) Steven breaks down the science of motivation, explaining the difference between extrinsic, intrinsic, grit and more. He covers the five intrinsic motivators, such as curiosity, and what chemicals your brain releases in certain states.   Getting into the flow (10:45) Steven explains how motivation and the flow state are closely linked. He emphasizes the importance of flow, as a state that can allow you to be 500% more productive than when in a regular or unmotivated state of mind.  Everyone is a Peak Performer (14:02) Some days, you feel like you've done nothing. However, Steven argues that everyone's brain is wired for peak performance. The trick is knowing how to unlock that.   Burn out (15:02) Burn out is real—and avoidable. Steven covers the physical and cognitive actions you must do in order to not burn out. Sleep, nutrition, and hydration are imperative to your brain, as well as socialization, and decompressing. He touches on how these help you perform and what fear does to the brain.  Lowering Anxiety (22:24) It seems like everyone is talking about anxiety and for good reason. Steven relays how modern society fuels our anxiety, and the three exercises you can do to reduce it. A daily gratitude practice, mindfulness practice, and regular exercise are all ways to help you and your brain decompress.  Goals and Recovering (24:19) Two more extremely important things to avoiding burn out, anxiety and even depression are good goal-setting and healthy paths to recovery. Clear goals help your brain organize itself, whereas recreation time allows you to recover from stress. Watching TV and drinking may feel good, but they aren't good recovery activities for you. Listen to the episode to hear what to do instead.  Flowing Frequently (25:05) While getting into flow state is the main goal, so is finding a way to do so frequently. Steven encourages listeners to reincorporate those activities that would make time fly when they were kids—either sports, gardening, reading, knitting etc. Finding things that get your brain going and bring you joy can translate to work.  The Mental Health Crisis (30:21) The pandemic has caused another epidemic of mental health problems. Steven breaks down misconceptions about anxiety and depression, and connects anxiety to intrinsic motivators or lack thereof.  Building Your Grit or a Prison? (33:03) Steven distinguishes a special kind of burn out that entrepreneurs and creatives experience if they get into too much flow. He clarifies that while flow is ultimately what you want, it can sometimes imprison you, or get you stuck. That's when grit takes over to get yourself out of that situation. However, if you don't build your grit, you're building your own creative prison. What Happens in Flow? (38:20) Steven discusses how your creativity, motivation and concentration spike in flow. Not only does it provide those valuable production tools, but your nervous system will also calm down. The best part? Your creativity can last for days after a certain flow state. He stresses the benefits of breath work, reading, and sauna time.      Links mentioned: Making Bank - Website Steven Kotler - Website

577: Embracing Uncertainty and Navigating Tomorrow's World with Jordan Gross

In today's episode of the As Told by Nomads Podcast, join me and my guest, Jordan Gross, as we talk about the four distinct mindsets during uncertainties and how behaviors help people cultivate opportunities by navigating change. Jordan shares how development is better taught through parables and fables as someone who leverages the relatability of creative storytelling. From there, he also speaks on his new book “What Happens in Tomorrow World?” and its arcade-like approach to representing the future and life's uncertainties. There's a lot to take notes from in this episode, so make sure to tune in to Jordan.Personal Development Through Story Telling Instead of a prescriptive approach, Jordan uses a different manner to teaching development through storytelling. He shares that fun and adventure are a must in his life. Which is the reason why stories with zig-zaggy and non-linear flows always resonate with Jordan. For him, this particular nature of parables and fables, if used creatively, can also be a potent tool for teaching lessons and morals, as proven precisely in his latest book. With the emotional appeal of stories that draw people in, readers find it easier to pay attention to details and find themselves in the levels of every character. Storytelling can teach lessons by leaving people with the opportunity to make their own decisions and assessment after the story. Jordan sees this differently from the ‘do this do that' type of teaching that often lacks relatability. Because stories take a more creative and stimulating approach to connecting with the reader's mind, people are then allowed to learn different messages from stories using their own imaginations without losing their autonomy.Outline of the episode:[04:03] On embracing the uncertainties of life.[07:00] The 4 Common Mindsets That Arise During Uncertainties.[11:01] Personal development through creative storytelling.[12:45] Over-optimism can exist too; Is optimism always the answer?[15:05] Toxic positivity and genuine positivity. [16:55] How can you turn your passion into sustainable business opportunities?[22:59] “Opportunity precedes passion.”[26:51] Is there a correlation between solitude and opportunity?[28:52] What is Tomorrow World?[31:51] Have something you can call “yours only” that can make a difference.Resources:Website: https://jordan-gross.com/Grab your copy of Tomorrow World now: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/195066595XAlso, check out The Journey to Cloud Nine: https://www.amazon.com/Journey-Cloud-Nine-Confront-Redefine-ebook/dp/B0815S6DY3Jordan's Book Inspiration: https://www.amazon.com/Moved-Cheese-Spencer-Johnson-M-D/dp/0743582853Subscribe to the UYD Collective: https://tayorockson.podia.com/uydcollectiveConnect with Tayo Rockson and the As Told By Nomads Podcast on:Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tayorockson Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcastTwitter:

This year, the Colorado legislature introduced a bill to radically change the way health care would be delivered in the state. HB 21-2132 was introduced this year with the hope of creating a public option health insurance for everyone in Colorado. In essence, the insurance product created by the state would set minimum standards for coverage and be available to anyone. Of course, their expectation is that they will lower health care expenses by over 10% with this plan. If this doesn't happen, the hammer comes down on everyone providing care. What Happens if it Doesn't Save Money? Not surprisingly, the legislators recognized that health care systems and people who provide care might not actually provide the care needed at the reduced rates the new insurance was offering. If that happened, then medical care wouldn't be cheaper and the plan would fail. But how would the lawmakers get doctors and physical therapists, pharmacists, chiropractors, etc to accept the low reimbursements to make the plan work? Well, not surprisingly they decided to force all the people who provide care to accept those reduced rates or lose their ability to work. They accomplish this by taking away professionals' license to practice medicine, PT, OT, etc. by claiming that it is unprofessional behavior to not accept their fee schedule. And that is where the real opposition to the bill began. What Happened to Phase 2? The threat of losing your ability to practice for anyone who accepts medical payments generated a huge amount of resistance within the state. And not just from doctors but large health care organizations, massage therapists, chiropractors, physical therapists, chiropractors, podiatrists, or basically anyone who provides any sort of medical service. Everyone was at risk of losing their ability to practice if they failed to accept the insurance or perhaps go bankrupt if they did accept the payments and they didn't cover their costs. Naturally, when insurance companies, hospitals, and medical organizations are all lobbying against the bill you have just too much money to fight as a legislator. It is easier and safer to acquiesce and amend the bill to remove all of the punitive provisions. In a moment of honesty the lawmakers have to know the plan will then fail without and provisions to force cost savings but it is easier to just pass a symbolic bill and maybe hope you get what you want later when it fails in practice. What was the Risk to Direct Primary Care Doctors? Obivously, the great risk to DPC doctors was that they already work outside the insurance system by directly contracting with their patients. So any plan that forces them to take insurance immediately removes a lot of the efficiencies they gain by running a lean office and not using billing services. Also, they operate outside the insurance system which jacks up the prices as we've discussed on numerous occasions here, here, here, and here, among others. So suddenly DPC doctors, who operate entirely outside of the system, were going to be required to jump into the third party payment system or risk losing their medical license. It was total madness and fortunately the bill was amended before some doctors had to look for work somewhere outside the state. So What's the Takeaway from this Near Miss? It's simply this, you have to pay attention to what is going on at your statehouse or have someone close to you who is paying attention to warn you when bad legislation rears its ugly head. It's probably also important to meet with your state senators and representatives to talk to them about what you do and how you practice. Maybe show them your office or explain how you care for people who are too rich to get medicaid but too poor to be able to afford their own insurance. It's always best to do this when there isn't legislation pending so they know that you exist, how you operate, and the vital service you provide for so many patients. You never know when they will need a phone call to discuss amending a bill to let you practice the way you want. Dr. Belen Amat is a direct primary care physician serving the greater Grand Rapids, MI area. She also serves as a board member on the Michigan State Medical Society.       Direct Download Link show notes Episode 131: Today's show DPC West Michigan: Dr. Amat's DPC Practice Colorado HB 21-2132: The legislation in question that seeks to create a public option for residents in Colorado.
